As noted above, it could be a reference to Meet The Press, but considering the Buffalo Bill synopsis (that, and being the show was produced in the 80's - and we all know how much TBC love the 80's), I think it is entirely possible it could be a reference to this show. In fact, this show was exactly what came to mind the first time I saw this video, and was somewhat surprised that no one had mentioned this before.
