The Sad Girl as the Wicked Witch of the West

In 1939, MGM released The Wizard of Oz, a cinematic adaptation of L. Frank Baum's fantasy novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. It grossed $3 million and won two Academy Awards. Numerous airings on television solidified its classic status. Some references have appeared Homestar Runner body of work.
