8-Bit is Enough is the fifth and final Episode of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People Season One. Written by Chuck Jordan and The Brothers Chaps. Rated E10+ for comic mischief, mild cartoon violence, and mild suggestive themes. It was released December 15, 2008.
Trogdor has broken free of his arcade cabinet to Free Country USA, burninating the land! And Stinkoman has come too, for as of yet unknown reasons. It's up to Strong Bad to figure out why they're here and what they want - and also how to get rid of them. What's more, classic 8-bit games are leaking into the real world, turning Strong Badia into a fiery mess! Only High Lord Awesome can take back the night and conquer this scorching menace, once and for all! Only question is: anybody know how to kill a dragon?
Explanations
*Shovelware is low quality, quickly ported or programed computer programs, usually done to capitalize on a trend or make a quick profit.

Remarks
*Videlectrix's website provides potential buildup for this game's events, as they say they've had enough of Telltale Games.
*In the preview for this episode, Strong Bad has a black outline, and his arms look oddly deformed for some reason.

Glitches
*The costume items from Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective, excluding the Dangeresque Glasses, are not available in the Snap Shak, apparently due to a writing error in Episode 4.

Inside References
*Trogdor has previously appeared in Free Country USA in Trogday 08.
*Stinkoman and Strong Bad previously met in the email alternate universe and Stinkoman also previously appeared in Free Country USA in 3 Times Halloween Funjob.
**Stinkoman also insulted Strong Bad in alternate universe, saying he has a big nose.
*Lady Crate Ape is a take off of Donkey Kong.
**When Marzipan is possessed by the spirit of the game, her expression is similar to Kong's expression on the original video game cabinet. Strong Bad also frequently refers to her as "Marzy-Kong".
*Strong Bad climbing the vine with the smiling cloud on the Awesomeness screen is modeled after Super Mario Bros.
Is there any confirmation that this is actually the playable Videlectrix game in 8BiE? Because while it is seen in the Mainframe screenshot, so is something on the left with the name partially off screen. I know the Wiki has articles for all Videlectrix games, but I don't think it should be placed in the playable section of Template:VidelectrixGames until we actually know if it is playable. -- 21:49, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
:I have no idea if it was playable or not, another user just added it as such, and I decided to go along with it. I myself had some doubts about it when I went along with it. For now, let's leave it like it is until we know for sure. --75.5.176.233 22:01, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective is the fourth episode of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People game series, released November 17th, 2008. It was written by Mark Darin and The Brothers Chaps.

The long-awaited third episode of the much-beloved and well-acted Dangeresque series is finally released to the world!... Once Strong Bad can make it, that is.

Dangeresque will have to solve a number of mysteries - Why is Cutesy Buttons' beloved rainforest being polluted, what are Perducci and Killingyouguy up to, and just who is the nefarious Craig?

It is worth noting that since it utilizes the Wii graphics, the game is, in fact, in 3D, just as Strong Bad declared in stunt double. However, it is not anaglyphic.
*It took Strong Bad over 4 1/2 years to complete this "blockbuster", as dangeresque 3 marked the 114th day of production.
*In responding to the first email, Dangeresque says that in basic training at Crooked Cop Academy you learn how to make cool noises with your mouth.
Fanstuff Discussion
I was the one who originally said this was better left for being on the fanstuff wiki (I put the deleted thing on, but Tabacco removed it I guess). Anyone else thinks this should be put as fanstuff? Because it's not a part of the official homestarrunner.com site.
:This differs from fanstuff, as this is an official licensed Homestar Runner game (like the long-delayed Homestar Runner RPG or the appearance of "Trogdor" in Guitar Hero). Since it is official licensed (and even being "developed" by Videletrix), then this will be documented by the regular Wiki. The same thing would count towards things like Strong Bad Gameways or any of the live appearances. 17:33, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
::Yup, exactly right. 17:43, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
:::Besides, it's mentioned on the official Homestar Runner site! -- 17:47, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
::::Game News Soon doesn't direct to anything, so it may not be possible this is the same thing. But whatever. Close this mess.
:::::The news isn't supposed to be revealed in full for another hour and forty-five minutes. Keep your pants on, for real. Anyway, it's fairly obvious that this game and the notice on the site are related. -- 18:16, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Info For you!
Intrepid editors may find this page helpful. It's not 100% done yet but since we're running late we wanted to get something up with more info. --Tabacco 22:22, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
:Heyyyyy, the whole site is up now! --Tabacco 22:52, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

And you can play too!
Too bad this game can't be played by me. Not everyone's good enough to get a Wii. Although the article says it's also for the PC, I highly doubt that will be a reality. It makes me so frustrated when new consoles come out. Especially onces that cost over 200 USD, when I could get something productive (Like Photoshop CS3 Extended) for 320 USD. Which I will get 'cause I have no Wii. Why not get the wii, you ask? Because I want my damnz photoshop! Been entirely too long since I last had it.
:It will be out for the PC. Guaranteed. --Tabacco 23:13, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
::What retailers will you be distributing to? Target? Wal-Mart? If it's K-Mart, I advise against it. Madison, WI has no K-Marts whatsoever. Also, will it be good for only Vista? Because I can't switch to Vista, my computer won't allow me to upgrade my BIOS to do so. Besides, dozens upon dozens of users say Vista is crap for Gaming.
:::Our first run distribution is almost always through our website as downloads. With Sam & Max, we released the games as downloads and then once the whole season was over we assembled a disc and offered it up free to season subscribers. Not sure if that's what we're doing for Strong Bad (nobody tells me anything fun), but they will be available to download from our site. And no, they won't be Vista only. Our system spec is pretty generous in fact, so it shouldn't require too new and crazy a computer. --Tabacco 23:18, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
::::Do you expect people to buy over the Internet only? Or are the downloads free? Because I somewhat despise Internet purchasing. Of course, I do have a Debit Card (Sorry, will never, ever use a Credit Card) if I so need to do an online transaction. But I haven't used the card in over 4 months.
:::::It sounds like Tabacco answered this in his last post: they'll certainly be available for download, but if that's not an option for you, it's possible that they will be eventually released on disc format. 23:24, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
::::::Some sites require you to pay for certain downloads though. Like "Adobe Extend."
:::::::Yep, this game will cost money, just as the exclusive DVD content does through the Homestar Runner store. It's good too; I've often wondered if there was a way for TBC to make some money off of their games! Fans have been able to support them by buying DVDs for a while, so I think this is great. 23:30, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
::::Still awaiting answer for if we have to buy over the Internet, or if we can send in check/money orders.
:::::We also accept Paypal and Wire Transfer. You can use the latter if you like. --Tabacco 23:42, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
::::::You stil didn't say if I can use check or money order though; I will only use them. If you can't do money order / etc. it's better off not to purchase. Not everyone likes the Internet... I'm sure not liking it anymore... I've been distancing myself from it more and more.
:::::::No, we don't take checks or money order. You sound pretty determined not to purchase, so I'm not sure why you're so insistent on pushing the issue, honestly. I think we can call this closed. --Tabacco 00:01, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
::::::::Well, since homestarrunner.com's toons always seems to reference old technology (with the exception of the cheat's computer, and Pom'Pom's technology) it makes sense to allow people to send you checks and money orders. Mind you, checks are not as old as regular legal tender >>; I was originally going to try out this game in the future, but you've made me not want to. Not like it'd support an Intel GFX Card anydangway.
Legal Rampage Issue
Transcripts are at the heart of our wiki, allowing us to have a reference guide for Homestarrunner.com and to save us the hassle of sitting through an entire toon to check a line or scene. With this in mind, to what extent will we transcribe the game? I'm against the idea of recording EVERY single line for two reasons: firstly, it would be a massive job to do. Undoubtedly there'll be tens of thousands of lines of dialogue throughout the game and it'll be impossible to find and store them all. The second reason is for legal issues: it seems to be OK to transcribe toons on the website since the transcripts won't significantly affect page views to the website and the toons are free in the first place. This game, on the other hand, will not be: the point of buying and playing the game is to find the dialogue yourself. And I don't want Telltale's lawyers to hit this wiki with a cease-and-desist order if they feel our actions harm the sales of their game. However, I think it'd still be OK to write walkthroughs and post Fun Facts on the game, in a similar manner to other websites. 19:42, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
:A few minor stylistic things aside, I think the best way to "transcribe" this game (I don't think that's the right word) would be entirely similar to Thy Dungeonman II however, without creating the companion page Thy Dungeonman II Messages. This system would give us the fun facts and the walk-through and the glitches and the tips and everything else that you would expect from The Wiki, without any of the legal or commercial issues you spoke of. I mean Tabacco seems to be very involved in The Wiki (at least concerning SBCG4AP), and with Telltale's consent I see no problem making a Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People Messages page or something of that ilk (but with FAR fewer syllables). 08:56, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
::Exactly; we seem to have plenty of communication with Telltale through Tabacco, so I'm sure that we can make sure whatever we do is acceptable to them (and TBC). It would be nice to have everything transcribed (transcriptions of game messages aren't a substitute for playing the game, in the same way that you don't forget about watching the cartoons and just read the transcripts - but even more so, as it's interactive), but obviously that depends on their wishes. -- Mithent 09:51, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
:::I can't see how there'd be a legal issue *period* if we thoroughly "mapped out" this game. If there *was*, GameFAQs wouldn't exist. Furthermore, I've seen numerous "Game Scripts" there. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if someone beat us to it. Exhibit A - 05:03, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
::::Second. There's stuff on GameFAQs that's much more in-depth than is sane, even for us. Plus, we transcribe DVD-only content all the time, and TBC don't mind. And since TBC are working so close with Telltale, I doubt they'd let them sue us either. --DorianGray 05:20, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
:::::I don't think there would be an issue with that sort of thing, but if someone 'offcially' associated with the wiki wants to shoot me an email, I can put them in contact with someone to be sure that it would be cool. There are lawyers lurking 'round every corner, but we generally prefer enabling awesomeness over litigiousness in everything we do at Telltale. Also, for what its worth, each episode will have ... a lot ... of dialog. TTGJake 06:58, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Related note, what about the Dev Blog! "written" by Strong Bad on the Telltales Games site? Any plans of documenting that on the Wiki? There could be a whole mess of running gags hidden in that... 20:23, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
:That is in fact written by Strong Bad. Well, it's written by TBC, which is close enough, right? :) TTGJake 06:53, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
::I believe the Dev Blog is not being documented for the same reasons why Strong Sad's Lament isn't: that it's just duplicating large chunks of text from the website, that "it replaces the actual site" and that it would cross "the copyright-infringement line to a degree we should not be able to get away with.". However, if the posts start being removed or if the website is eventually shut down, backed-up transcripts and images will be added to the article. 16:41, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
:::The way that the SBCG4AP Dev Blog is being handled now (summarizing posts, pointing out specific references) is perfectly fine. At the time I wrote that bit, there wasn't a page started to note the contents. I think a similar approach should be used with the games, simply because of the volume of dialog involved, the non-linear nature of the game play, and potential legal issues. Particular pieces (such as openings, previews or set pieces) could be transcribed, proved proper clearances are granted first, but a wholesale transcription would be impractical. Noting references, goofs, etc.? Fair game. 16:30, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

New gameplay/interview video
There's a video here showing off some of the gameplay (including Snake Boxer V footage), as well as an interview with some of the developers (I assume this is new, I didn't see it mentioned on the page anywhere). I think IGN are going to interview TBC about the game tomorrow, but I'm not sure... -- 12:07, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
:On a related note, it looks like the Kotaku review of the game demo has some more detailed information that was is revealed in the Game Videos piece. 18:03, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

External link organization
Since it looks like this game will produce a large number of external links (IGN et al. game reviews, material from Telltale, forums), how should we organize them? Traditionally, we've put forum links on the bottom (which in this case would include both Telltale's and ours), and material directly from Telltale at the top. But should we make subsections for each? I'm trying to think of scalability at this point. 16:40, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

:I think you're right, it will helpful to have them divided up into sub-sections. I liked , but I tried . Not sure if it's optimal yet; maybe we'll have to wait to see what kinds of external links we end up getting as it's released. 16:53, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Screenshots
This may sound silly, but how do you accses the screenshots on the Tell Tale site?
:Not silly at all — scroll down to the end of the dev blog, and just below them on the left-hand side of the page are four TV screen-shaped pictures. Click on one of them to bring up the screenshots. Hope that helps! 13:29, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
question!
So will this be available on the Wii Shop Channel under the WiiWare section and can I buy it with Wii points? Becausue if not I can't buy it! --Acam30 20:53, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
::Just curious to find out why you can't buy it. Do you not have a Wii? If that's the case, then disregard my next statement. If you do, Wii Points can be each purchase directly through the Wii or purchasing a Wii Points card at many fine retailers. Hopefully, Telltale will announce how many Wii points each episode will be. 21:07, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
No I have a Wii. It's just that my parents have this weird thing about using credit cards on sites the don't consider "certified". == Episode One Info VS the IGN preview ==
Ok, thanks to the preview on the telltale official site, I think we can theorise that the IGN preview actually happens after the scenes in the trailer. 'Homestar Runner invades Strong Bad's house and Bogarts his style.' Of course, it could also be that the trailer scenes are actually a flashback.

Either way, we can't be sure that the game begins with the IGN preview anymore, so I was wondering what we should do about itGerkuman 14:02, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
:I was thinking the same thing. The preview for Homestar Ruiner seems to take place before Homestar hides in the basement for indecency. From the various reviews, though, it is clear that the preview was still an early build. (For example, the GameCyte review mentions that a plot clue is found under a cardboard box in the middle of the field, but the actual game, the clue location would be more challenging.) I would suspect that Strong Bad going directly from his song to talking to Homestar is a similar splice, and nobody knows what the final sequence will be until it's released in to the wild. 14:13, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
(For those not in the know, downloads can be paid for by Wiis other than the one receiving it.) What I was wondering is, is this contest worthy of its own article or not? == T For Teen ==

Ok we were all surprised it got a t ranking but i bet they TellTale did so on purpose and made the esrb think it was worse than it really was for the moneymaking t rating. and mild suggestive content (if it is not a telltale tall tale) is probably something like saying home run or some other extremely mild euphism. Who agrees? Zelda games do it all the time. Physicsguymonsterman 01:00, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
:Most of the cartoons on the site would get a T rating as well, if the ESRB system is used. I mean, just look at emails like lady fan, sisters, dreamail, do over... plenty of suggestive themes there (without even mentioning Coach Z's problems), and the Teen Girl Squad comics probably fulfil the requirements for mild cartoon violence. The Poopsmith pretty much covers crude humour. -- 09:34, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
::The ESRB ratings are: Early Childhood, Everyone, Everyone 10+, Teen, Mature, Adults Only and Rating Pending. As you can see, Teen is the most suitable rating since the game probably contains "contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling, and/or infrequent use of strong language." (The PEGI equivalant is 12+.) Undoubtably, there'll be Teen Girl Squad, references to making out, and maybe some whatsit, blood and crap. So I'm assuming TGS is what bumped it up, unless the game contains very illegal pony fights. 13:56, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
::: Cartoon Violence and rude humor can be in e 10(i think tgs might fit into e actually) whatever the suggestive material is and it would have to be a little but more mature than making out is why it is teen so i think hmmm maybe telltale told theesrb that there was sug mat. even though its making out scince esrb doesnt play the games.
::::I doubt TTG would just tell the ESRB that there was more mature material than it would normally be. As for suggestive material, according to the ESRB website, minimal suggestive material (as long as there's nothing else that would give it a higher rating) can credit a E rating. Suggestive material also is descripted as "Mild provocative references or materials". I'm not sure what else would qualify for the "mild suggestive themes", but remember that the crude humor and mild cartoon violence might merit a "T" rating themselves. 14:32, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Hopefully, Telltale won't run into the same bottleneck that the Pop developers did while releasing in Europe (the game can be entirely in English, but the manual must be written in every language that can be selected on a PAL Wii's system menu). == TBC Interviews for SBCG4AP ==

Traditionally, when The Brothers Chaps have done an interview, we've made a separate page for it, in part because they were so infrequent. But, so far there has been at least four interviews with them ahead of the launch of the game. The IGN interview already has a page, but I've put the Cold Hard Flash, GameCyte and Kotaku interviews as part of the game promotion list. I just had a chilling thought. With the new game-of-fun coming out on the Wii, it would pull in alot of buyers. If I didn't know the Homestar, I'd probubly still buy such a game. And then most buyers would eventually visit the site. With this overflow of people going on the site, It may be too much for the site's compies and it may crash, stopping us from seeing all our daily doses of Homestar 'toons! ::The impression I get from the Telltale forums is the majority people buying the title are either fans of H*R or Telltale. However, that's still a pretty large group. Just a note regarding the amount of voice acting and the claim that Matt and Missy do "most of" it. The most recent time this was added to the article, the editor cited a Gamespot interview. I think the confusion may arise because when asked "How much of the original voices to you have?", Telltale representative Brett Tosti replies that "95% of it is done by Matt Chapman". But he immediately goes on to say the other 5% is Marzipan (which he confirms is voiced by Missy). In fact, he's pretty emphatic that all of the voices are done by the original H*R talent. They work this fact into the interview twice — they are obviously proud of it. Anonymous, were you refering to a Gamespot interview other than the one with Brett Tosti?
Will the series ever be released on Steam? I am asking because both Sam and Max and Bone were released on Steam. <s>Some guy who's not named Hobojo</s> Skinr

How long?
This is probably a stupid question, but I need to ask: How long will the episodes be available? I'm asking because I would really like to play them all, but I'll be stuck with Windows 98 until Christmas, so I won't be able to buy them until then. (I also hope the fact that I'm living in Germany won't be a problem.) --Cass from Germany 19:59, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
:Also speaking of the game... when is it coming out this month? Don't ignore Cass from Germany's question though.) 01:25, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
::Keep an eye on the official website. As soon as anyone knows, they'll announce it there. Anything you hear before that is just going to be speculation anyway. (I'm not ignoring Cass's question, I just don't know the answer, though I'd assume they'll be available as long as Telltale is still in business) 01:30, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
:::Yeah, no game on the Virtual Console/WiiWare service has been discontinued since the service was started AFAIK. Even if you're only discussing the PC version, I don't know why they'd remove the downloads unless they went out of business. You should be fine. -- 06:50, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
::::Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels was removed from the European VC (although it was put back on recently). But yeah, no reason for SBCG4AP to be removed from either download service, save for Telltale or Nintendo going out of business. -- 17:32, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Costume wardrobe errors?
I want to know if anyone's costume parts dissappeared or moved, because my carabowdit hair, big moustache and that grey hat-thing from the mailbox are hidden on the floor under the backdrop in the photo booth. I'm almost finished episode 1, with the only thing I need being the first trophy on the collection screen (72%). (edit: I completed the game, just for the data to be corrupted the next day.) Joanassie 18:17, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Release Date Announced
Telltale announced the release of Strong Badia the Free for September 15th. It's on their website.

Baddest of the bands
in the preview in the end of episode 2 it says the name of the next epsiode is "Baddest Of The Bands"
: Yeah, uh, we already have a page for it. We haven't finished updating everything connected to it yet though. -- 23:26, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Drop a whale on 'em
As I noted on the Strong Badia the Free page, the Whale says "Get your lighter from the anvil, please," which can be connected with the fact that you get the lighter from The Cheat (compared with an anvil in huttah!). As I was playing a new game that didn't have the lighter yet when I saw that, I suddenly started wondering something. And then I look up what the whale says in Homestar Ruiner and:

*DRIVE-THRU WHALE: When the End Times come, we will all dance the Conga of the Apocalypse.
*DRIVE-THRU WHALE: Always double-down with a king in the hole.
*DRIVE-THRU WHALE: Lighten up, jumpy jumperson.
*DRIVE-THRU WHALE: You can't get ahead until you get a head.
*DRIVE-THRU WHALE: Sever you head, please. It's the greatest day.

Each of these, though a bit strained, can be compared with an event in Homestar Ruiner. Some of the others too, though they're bigger reaches. Could the whale be giving coded hints??? -- 07:13, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
: A-HA!! I opened up my SBtF second game that had defeated all the countries except Country. Tried talking to the whale several times, but he only said generic stuff that had nothing to do with the rest of the game - and suspiciously enough, did not say anything about getting a lighter from an anvil. I went on to Country, got the monster to appear, hacked off one head (IT REGROWS!!!), and went back to the whale. And what do I get? "Would you like flaming skulls with that?" He didn't ask that before. And to those who have played the game, I pose the question: WHAT do you need to do in Country in order to defeat the Ice Head of the Taranchula??? With this in mind, I can say with maybe 80% confidence that, yes, the Whale is giving hints. -- 07:28, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
:: And now I see that Venusy came to the same conclusion like a month ago and I'm suddenly that much less impressed with myself. :( -- 07:29, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Another Sam & Max Connection
:I was watching video reviews and playing demos of Sam & Max, and I realized that the "new item sound" for SBCG4AP is identical to the sound that's played when you get a new item in Episode 105: Reality 2.0 (that is, when you get something while wearing the virtual reality goggles). Mentionable?

3-D animation
You know, I noticed something. On the DVD, the 3-D animation looks silly and a bit premature, and in SBCG4AP, the graphics are smoother and much more dignified. I also noticed that most of the lines that are said during the game don't match the animation. And in the Wii menu when Strong Bad says "Onward to Strong Badia! Strong Badia... THE FREE!" It looks like they just re-used the animation from the first episode when he said "No time for the emails right now. I've got other plans for the Lappy todaaay..." Has anyone noticed those things? 02:26, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

SBCG4AP Episode 4 Announced
I found here that the name of the next SBCG4AP will be Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective. Sound a little familiar? ;) 00:07, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
:Whooo! YEAH! Dangeresque 3! In video game form! Nice find man ;) 00:11, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
::No probalo! 00:17, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
:::I don't think that's actually been announced... this thread tells me that it's not official (when it's official, I'm pretty sure the people on the TellTale forums will know...). That's not to say it's not going to be Dangeresque 3, but it's also possible that this WiiWare World site just made it up. Until it's official, we won't know, and probably shouldn't be claiming that we do. 12:12, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Screencaps or Logos?
What type of picture should we use in the episode list? I think we should use screencaps to match the Toons page. 22:34, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
:I think the logos are more uniform and look nicer there. 22:50, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
::Ooh, maybe we could use icons! They're uniform and nice-looking, and tell us more about the plots than the logos do. 16:06, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
:::OK, after a few days with the icons I've concluded that the screencaps did the best job of summarizing each episode. 21:23, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
::::I still disagree. 21:44, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
I don't think that uniformity is a strong enough argument to justify replacing the screencaps. The Games article isn't very uniform, and the Toons article contains 0 title cards. Why? Because we provide pictures that say something about the plot. We should do the same here. 13:49, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
:This is different. I say we have both icons and title cards, since we have a lot of room. This is what it would look like.
::I like it! 23:55, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
:::Why can't we have screenshots instead of those vague icons?!? 00:08, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
::::The icons actually summarize the games far better than the screenshots. I looked at the screenshots and i'm like "what the crap?" but the icons are clearly "oh, homestar in his army uniform. must be a war". I find the screenshots to be far more vague than the icons. 00:10, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
:::::I actually like it better combined like this. 00:20, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
::::::That'll do, I guess, but I don't see how the Homestar Ruiner icon provides a better summary than the basement picture does. I perfectly see how your argument applies to the other 2 games (not counting Dangeresque because it has no icon yet) though. 00:45, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
:::::::The screenshot there doesn't do it either. it's just homestar on the couch. at least this way the table looks like it belongs. 00:58, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
::::::::I don't want to make it sound like I hate your format, but I felt that the basement picture at least tells us that Homestar is depressed in the game. 01:00, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
:::::::::Okay, i understand. So are we agreed on the format i came up with? 01:02, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
::::::::::Yeah, I like it. 01:06, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
:::::::::::The icon, featuring Dangeresque for episode 4, is now up on the TTG website, if anyone can get it. 15:30, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People (SBCG4AP) is an episodic series of games developed by Telltale Games for the PC and WiiWare platforms. The series was announced by a press release on April 10, 2008, followed shortly by an advertisement on homestarrunner.com and a trailer and screenshots on the Telltale Games website. Advertisements added to homestarrunner.com were listed in the New Stuff menu, but not in any other page of the TV Time Toons Menu. The series trailer was added to the Nintendo Channel on August 4, 2008.

The game is being produced in full collaboration with The Brothers Chaps and Videlectrix, with Matt Chapman and Missy Palmer providing <!-- All of the voice acting, according to the most recent Telltale PR. If you have contrary information, please provide the source for your claim before changing this. --> the voice acting. The 3D animation in the game is being rendered by Telltale's animators with attention to preservation of the look and feel of the 2D Flash cartoons.

This game will be divided into five episodes released in intervals of one month, the first of which, Homestar Ruiner, was released on August 11, 2008. Each episode is downloadable through the Wii Shop Channel for 1000 Wii Points™ ($10.00) on WiiWare, or through Telltale's website for $8.95 for the PC version. A bundle of the full series (including a bonus disc for the cost of shipping) is available for the PC, but not for the Wii.

A week and a half before the game was announced, actual gameplay footage from the game was featured in the YouTube video Strong Bad Gameways. Despite the flashing message on the screen, "ACTUAL GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE", it was unknown whether or not such a 3D game was actually in the works, until Telltale Games announced the game and confirmed that the Strong Bad Gameways footage was from it. According to a later interview, the game had been discussed for over a year. It was finalized when Nintendo announced the WiiWare system, and development officially began in January 2008. The trailer on Telltale Games' website stated a release date of June 2008, although they had to move the release date to July to give them time to make it the best they could. The game then had to be delayed again until August, as while the game has been submitted to Nintendo, it has not yet been approved. On April 11, the gaming website IGN covered the Nintendo Summit and several demo demonstrations of WiiWare, including SBCG4AP. In the July issue of Nintendo Power, the game was featured in an article, including an "interview" with Strong Bad on pages 22 and 23.

When the game starts, the start menu has a layout similar to the website. Using a point-and-click interface, players have Strong Bad talk to various characters using an icon system or highlight objects to interact with. In addition to the main plot, you can participate in numerous side quests, such as looking for additional costumes, objects to use in creating Teen Girl Squad comics, or play mini-games on the FunMachine. By participating in these side quests, this will raise the player's "Awesomeness Meter". It has been confirmed in a preview that the emails within the game are not sent by real fans, but they will help serve to advance the plot or give a player a hint if they are stuck. Using the WiiConnect24 online system, players will be able to send messages and pictures taken with the Snappy or at the Snap Shak via the Lappy 486 in the game. Finally, once an episode is finished, an "extended play" mode is unlocked, allowing players to explore the environment further.
*In "Recap", there is a passing reference to Strong Bad making video games. This episode came out not long after the email video games, so that's probably what it refers to.
*In "Morbid", Joel dies and goes to hell. Phil and Elly then die so they can rescue him, and while there, they meet Strong Bad, Homestar, and Coach Z. Apparently, Strong Bad got sick of the 'boxing glove emails' and jumped into a lake of fire, and Homestar and Coach Z followed. After they rescue Joel, Phil starts typing on a Compy 386 about how Bubs won the race, and Strong Sad shows up. (This episode was later removed, then changed in order to avoid legal trouble.) Despite the episode being changed, the season 2 intro still features the removed Strong Sad clip, and the Newgrounds version is still the original version.
*In "Rivals", Joel says he wants to move to Atlanta where "the cartoon people" live. He is probably referring to The Brothers Chaps.
*In the Easter egg in "2 Pack", they prank call someone who is supposed to be Strong Bad, but turns out to just be someone doing an impression of Strong Bad.
This is a reference to pizza trophy as bacon and pineapple are common pizza toppings
*In "Five Minute Story Hour", the protagonist (who is a laptop) is referred to "Lappy" throughout the episode.
*In "Stickman Vs. The Dot (New Version)", there are two Teen Girl Squad references. When the shark chomps into the cannon, the caption "Chomp!" is displayed, complete with AhnbergHand font.
Cartoon'd
The name itself is a reference to Teen Girl Squad, especially its tendency to add a "-'d" to the end of words, and in the second episode the cartoon is affected by a virus. There's a reference to Homestar Runner in which one of the main characters is stuck on a page from StrongBadZone with the caption "Your head a splode" then he is knocked over. Also, another main character is stuck on a desktop where we can see a Homestar icon. In addition, the entire cartoon is based on the HRWiki forums.
Lastly, when they are fighting, one of the characters uses an attack called "Foot in Mouth Disease", which may be a reference to Bug in Mouth Disease. However, this phrase (in and of itself a pun on Foot and Mouth Disease) has been in use for many years, having been used to describe poor verbal choices by Bill Clinton, George Bush and a host of others. Thus the relationship to Homestar Runner is questionable.
