== There's no "eye" in Bubs. ==

Okay, so what is it with Bubs' smaller eye? Strong Bad and The Cheat's pupils are claimed to be copies of it on the main paige, Strong Sad's bulgy eye in "caffeine" was declared so, and I could swear I've read more instances where something has been compared to it. I really don't get it! I mean, guys, Bubs' eye is simply a black pupil with white spots (call them light reflections or shiny spots or whatever)in them. It's an average cartoon pupil, an average animal eyestyle and there's absolutely nothing special about it. Not every shiny pupil on this earth (or any cartoon universe) is related to it in whatsoever. ::::I don't think this is a goof, looks very intentional to me. If you watch it in context, the positioning of both arms makes sense with the physical motion that he is doing (sort of a "wind up" to scratching his eye). His arm moves very quickly which is why it is animated that way. It's not an uncommon animation technique. Remember, the toons are not intended to be watched in freeze-frame — watched normally the animation works well. I assume the remark in question has something to do with SB's "waste of serif" line? In which case... Sans Serif is an actual font used in word processors; I think it's pretty obvious that that's what he's referencing here. Anyone agree? (Maybe STUFF it?) -Zero.exe
:Typefaces are classified as either [[Wikipedia:Serif|Serif]] or [[Wikipedia:Sans serif|Sans serif]]; serifs themselves are the little modifications that only serif typefaces have. By claiming they're a "waste of serif", to me it seems he's suggesting they're a waste of ink or a waste of letters. The "goof" here is that the typeface used on the box in the email is actually a sans-serif font, and there are no serifs wasted, if we interpret his statement literally as referring to serifs rather than letters/ink. ::I think BustedHambroiger is medically correct there, in that defibrillators are, as the name suggests, used to treat ventricular fibrillation (rapid, irregular beating) - it's a common mistake in the media that people are typically defibrillated when they have flatlined. The former is a condition where the cardiac muscles contract spastically, and the latter is a rapid heart rhythm. Hollywood has given the impression that defibrillators can revive a stopped heart mostly due to the film "Flatliners", but while failing to stop ventricular fibrillation can cause a flatline, using one on someone whose heart has stopped is likely to have no effect. This gag is perhaps spoofing [[Wikipedia:Monty Python's Flying Circus|Monty Python's Flying Circus]], which had a similar running gag with a weight that said "16 TONS" on it.

The bilingual labeling on the weight may refer to the multi-lingual labeling of items [[Wikipedia:Bilingualism in Canada|required]] in Canada and becoming more prevalent in the United States since the advent of [[Wikipedia:NAFTA|NAFTA]]. Labeling like this also occurs on [[Wikipedia:Air_France|Air France]] flights between the [[Wikipedia:United States|U.S.]] and [[Wikipedia:France|France]]. The '''Homestarmy''' is a fighting force led by Colonel [[Homestar Runner]] (pronounced "col-o-nel" by Homestar, as opposed to its normal pronunciation "ker-nel"). Homestar claims that membership is a group of "[[Lack of Visible Arms|No-armed forces]]" limited to the few who are sick and tired of "playing second-fiddle to a two-bit [[Wrestleman|wrestle man]] and his [[The Cheat|yellow dog]]", and those who are ready to give their five bucks to the Homestarmy if it comes to that. But in reality, the Homestarmy is a rag-tag group of [[Free Country, USA]]'s more disenfranchised citizens, united by Homestar's friendly influence, and their shared dislike of [[Strong Bad]]. Regardless, Homestar is very confident in this meager army and has been known to try to get the said $5 from his soldiers often.

In their first and greatest known campaign, they tried to invade [[Strong Badia]], resulting in the military fiasco known as [[The Battle of Strong Badia]]. The only casualty was [[Frank Bennedetto|Third-Style Private Bennedetto]], a popcorn air-popper, wounded by a kick from Strong Bad.

Homestar tried to recruit new members for the Homestarmy at the [[more armies|Vaguely Military Career Fair]], saying that he was looking for people that came from "a long line of five bucks-havers".

It appears that [[Orange Tupperware|orange Tupperware bowls]] are the Homestarmy uniform: all members except Frank Bennedetto wear one as a helmet. Other than the Painting of a Guy with a Big Knife and Homestar's wooden spoon, they carry no weapons, though Homestar claims that any who oppose them will feel their "fluoride sting".

*This Halloween episode carries on the tradition in which a secret scene with Homsar is activated by interacting with the Poopsmith somehow.
*In every other Halloween episode (except the first, for the obvious reason that Homsar didn't exist yet), activating Homsar causes him to appear with the rest of the group at the end. This episode is the exception—whether or not you activate Homsar or Stinkoman, they do not appear at the end.
