'''Fat Dudley''' is [[Pom Pom]]'s [[Old-Timey]] counterpart. Dudley appears to be [[The Homestar Runner]]'s best friend, just as Pom Pom is in the present. Dudley may derive characteristics (dark eyes, jazzy voice) from [[Wikipedia:Leon Redbone|Leon Redbone]], a pop icon recognized for his guitar and vocal interpretations of music from the 1930s.

Similar to Pom Pom's "bubble talk", he speaks in jazz-like musical tones that only the characters can understand. Physically he seems much more human than Pom Pom: he has hands and feet, and wears clothing and shoes that fit the period.

As seen in [[That a Ghost]], Fat Dudley seems to have an affinity for hooch.

The '''Old-Timey''' era (also referred to as the '''1936''' era) is the collective name for the [[Homestar Runner (Flash cartoon)|Homestar Runner]] [[Toons|toons]] said to have been made in the [[Wikipedia:1930s|1930s]]; they are in essence a pastiche/tribute to [[Wikipedia:The Golden Age of Hollywood animation|the cartoons of the time]]. The toons are in black and white and have intentionally sloppy edits, a grainy and scratched appearance, and a soundtrack filled with static and pops. The characters look and sound different from their modern-day counterparts, and often have different personae, much in the way that the characters in the earliest [[Wikipedia:Mickey_Mouse|Mickey Mouse]] and [[Wikipedia:Looney_Tunes|Looney Tunes]] cartoons are noticeably different than later incarnations.

Most of the toons from this era, explicitly set in the [[Wikipedia:Great Depression|Great Depression]], center around The Homestar Runner, Old-Timey Marzipan and Fat Dudley's quest for food, and Old-Timey Strong Bad's attempts to foil them with the help of his sidekicks The Strong Man and The Sneak.

This era spans from 1933 with ''Kick the Can'' to the 1937 release of ''That A Ghost''. The early "1933" toons did not have sound and were much more cartoony than the later Old-Timey cartoons, with heads coming off, body-parts changing and characters flying away, among other things. (See the [[Old-Timey Other Costumes|variants]] from ''Kick the Can''.) Toons released in later years featured sound and were more realistic.

It appears as if the Old-Timey world is actually entirely gray, rather than filmed with outdated camera equipment. Old-Timey characters are still gray when appearing in more colorful time periods, and Strong Bad was still in full color when he appeared in the black-and-white Old Timey world in the email [[alternate universe]]. In [[20X6 vs. 1936]], when The Homestar Runner went to [[Planet K]], he was in black and white, with slight visual errors appearing over him (as in the full cartoons) and crackling audio whenever he spoke. However, the [[Ballad of The Sneak]] establishes The Sneak as being "small and smart and yellow".

Each new toon appears to take place in a later year than previous toons. It is possible that the Old-Timey dates are following the current date, with a difference of slightly less than 67 years. ''Kick the Can'', dated 1933, was released in 2000. Later cartoons released in 2003 are dated 1936, and ''That A Ghost'', released in 2004, is dated 1937. [[Coach Z]] is henceforth determined to catch "Biscuit Dough Hands Man", not realizing that the King was describing Strong Bad. Oddly, Coach Z's reaction indicates that he's crossed paths with Biscuit Dough Hands Man before.

Biscuit Dough Hands Man has been announced as the next target of Strong Bad's hard-hitting, buffalo-style journalism on the ''[[Strong Bad-Type Interview Progrum]]'', as mentioned in the email "[[pizzaz]]."

After designing your character, and race mode starts, wait for the gun to fire and the word "Go" appears.

Then, taking your time, press "Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right..." slowly. If you do it too fast you'll get a FAULT. If you press the same key twice you will get a FAULT. If you press any key other than left or right you will get a FAULT.

A FAULT is an annoying message that will appear and your character will stop for a few seconds.

For every white line you pass on the track, you have traveled .01 kilometers. There are 40 successful "steps" required between each white line, and 50.00 kilometers to go. That's a lot of walking!

It is unclear what his job really is, but it has something to do with using his shovel (apparently the only shovel in [[Free Country, USA]]) to poke around at a load of [[Whatsit|whatsit]]. Also, due to the nature of this job, [[Strong Bad]] has said that the Poopsmith's tolerance for pain "has gotta be through the roof". Although he never seems to transfer poop between his gloves and the shovel, his gloves are always soiled. This inherent filth tends to keep him out of most social circles, though he seems to be well respected by the other characters. He has been in the employ of [[The King of Town]] for a while, and he does not talk, nor make a noise, as he has taken a vow of silence. Sometimes, however he will hold up a sign in lieu of speaking. *When Homestarmecium replicates himself, he does so horizontally, each time. However, every time the screen pulls out, the Homestarmeciums are lined up vertically prior to the next replication, despite having never moved from their horizontal alignment.
