Is it just me, or is that a cricket helmet Homestar was was wearing when he came into the locker room? Having seen them a few times, that's what it looks like to me. If it is, then it should be a Real World Reference. Plus, Coach Z's sports are huge mash-ups anyway, why not add an international sport (as long as its not soccer).

The first time I saw the tube socks as a gift, I thought of the final episode of the Cosby Show in which Theo gets tube socks as a gift from Kenny for his graduation. Not sure if this could be considered a reference, but I can't think of any other pop-culture references to someone getting tube socks as a gift. I just thought I'd mention it.

"The local gentry" has to be a reference to the song "Love and Marriage." I don't know who wrote the song, but it is most associated with Frank Sinatra. It was also used as the theme to "Married With Children." "Ask the local gentry, and they will say it's elementry."

I'm not sure it's exactly accurate that Poly-Sci is the study of politics "not science." The term "sceince" refers to the method of study, not the subject of study. The American Heritage Dictionary defines science as "The observation, identification, description, experimental investigation, and theoretical explanation of phenomena." Political Science, at least in theory, uses scientific methods to study politics. Most political scientists would take issue with the statement that Political Science is not the study of science. In fact, I'm not sure what "the study of science" would refer to.

At first I wanted to be the Thnikkaman, but somebody already was the Thnikkaman. Then I wanted to be Stave it Off, but somebody was already Staveitoff123. So then I became "Good Commando Name". Then I wished I had become "Your Head A-splode" but it was too late as I was already "Good Commando Name."

My favorite H*R characters are as follows (in no particular order):
Homestar Runner, Strongbad, Bubs, Strong Sad, Strong Mad.

My favorite Strong Bad email is "caper". I'm so glad The Cheat is not dead.
