'''Places:''' White Vastness, [[Strong Bad's Basement]]

'''Date:''' Tuesday, April 1, 2008

'''Running Time:''' 1:53

==Transcript==

''{Music begins and text fades in from a white background: "And now an important safety announcement". Strong Bad walks forward in a flight attendant's uniform.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Hello. And welcome to Strong Bad Gameways. Thank you for playing with us today. Please take a moment to familiarize your bad self with the following safety precautions.

''{The text "Safety Precautions" appears next to Strong Bad in dripping blue letters. Fade to a closeup of a Wii remote.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Due to the possibility of in-game wiggle and waggle, it is recommended that you play your game in a large, open space, free of debris, rubble, and flotsam and Jetsons.

''{Arrows and text appear during the above monologue to demonstrate "Wiggle" and "Waggle". A watercolor picture of a man swinging a Wii remote appears to demonstrate a "large, open space". Sketches of flowers, a flaming military jeep, a message in a bottle, and George Jetson appear to demonstrate "debris", "rubble", "flotsam", and "Jetsons", respectively.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Ideal play spaces include: gymnasiums, abandoned airplane hangars, deserts, and fruitèd plains.

''{The man swinging a remote appears in the above environments on each verbal cue.}''

''{Cut to a sketch of a room with an open window and a Wii remote on a table.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' If you are seated in a window seat, pleased be advised that the Baba Jaga may show up to steal your firstborn baby.

''{The Baba Jaga appears carrying a sack with a baby on the verbal cue.}''

''{Cut to Strong Sad, wearing an inflatable vest and holding a Wii remote.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Lastly, your game controller is equipped with a safety cover that can double as a flotation device. ''{closeup of Wii remote}'' Simply pull on the cord, and the device will inflate.

''{Strong Sad pulls on a tab on the bottom of the remote, and the Wii jacket inflates.}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' Oh!

'''STRONG BAD:''' But we're not quite safe enough yet. ''{cut to Strong Bad}'' At this time, you may want to inflate your ''own'' safety vest to prevent ''anything'' from ever happening.

''{Cut to Strong Sad. He pulls the cord to inflate his vest and it engulfs him.}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' Waah!

''{Cut back to Strong Bad}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' On behalf of our awesome-based crew, thank you for playing with us. You are now fully prepared to enjoy your game in total unplayable safety.

''{Closeup of the "Strong Bad Gameways" logo, a golden [[The Cheat]] with wings. Music fades.}''

''{Cut to Strong Sad and Strong Bad trapped in inflated vests in their basement. Their Wii remotes are on the floor, protected in inflated jackets.

'''STRONG SAD:''' I think my contents may have shifted!

'''STRONG BAD:''' Oh, man. This is the best game I've never played!

''{Cut to a closeup of the game on the TV. In the game, a Strong Bad sprite is standing at The Stick and looking around. The score is -1000 and the text "Actual Gameplay Footage" flashes over the screen. A Wii remote appears onscreen with the flashing text "Do something!" The Strong Bad sprite scratches himself and shrugs, and the text "Nevermind." appears next to the Wii remote. The Strong Bad sprite hangs his head and walks away, and the text "Game Over" fills the screen.}''

===Explanations===
*[[Wikipedia:Baba Yaga|Baba Jaga]] is a witch appearing in Slavic folklore.
*The phrase ''[[wikipedia:Marine debris|flotsam and jetsam]]'' describes discarded odds and ends or any objects found floating or washed ashore.

===Trivia===
*The code for this video was given in an Easter egg in [[shapeshifter]], without the context that it was code for a YouTube video.
===Real-World References===
*[[Wikipedia:George Jetson|George Jetson]] is the father on the animated series ''[[Wikipedia:The Jetsons|The Jetsons]]''.
*Among many other references to the [[Wikipedia:Wii|Wii]] and its ubiquitous safety warnings, The picture showing to stay clear of others, and the scene with a remote on a table near an open window are direct sketches of actual Wii screens recommending that players take a break.
*The mention of "fruitèd plains", as well as the red-white-and-blue-striped clouds in the scene, is likely a reference to the patriotic song "[[Wikipedia:America the Beautiful|America the Beautiful]]".
=== Marzipan's Greeting ===
'''MARZIPAN:''' Hi, this is Marzipan. I'm currently drowning in the abyss, but please leave me a message anyway. ''{beep}''

=== Message 6 ===
'''THE KING OF TOWN:''' ''{angry}'' Well, well, well, Miss Marzithang, any idea why Strong Bad's been goin' around calling me a "stankwad", or why the Bubs keeps referring to me as a "wad in the grass"? Hmm? Any idea? Maybe because you told everybody that my middle name is Wad?! That was supposed to be our secret! I thought we had a deal. Well, don't blame me if all the sudden your questionable voluntary surgery becomes public knowledge! The Wad is out!

=== Message 5 ===
'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Oh hello, yes, middle of our conversation? Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah, I just met with him. Oh yeah, he's ''real'' famous. Rich. Rich with money. How many? Five? Five's good. ''{whispering}'' Psst! Sorry, Marzipan. I had to perpetrate like I was talking, ''{normal volume}'' on account of this hot blonde thing walked by. Purple dress, broomstick style. Oh yeah, you're jealous. Yeah, what? No, he's ''half'' robot.

=== Message 4 ===
'''BUBS:''' Hey Marzipan, it's the Bubs. Say, uh, do you know any other women around here? I mean, you're not exactly my type, and I need somebody to go to the movies with. It's getting desperate! I'll take anything at this point&mdash; lady duck, lady pine cone, lady pillow. I gotta go to the movies with somebody! So if you know of any kind of lady item, put in a good word for ol' Bubs. And tell 'em they'll get 10% off at the concession stand! ''{quickly, as the following words appear onscreen}'' Discount will not be honored!

=== Message 3 ===
'''COACH Z:''' ''{with hip-hop beat playing in background}'' Hey, yo, Marz-ay! Coach Z, all up in the stujo. Just cut my new record, want you to be a sassy high-pitched background singer on this new track! Maybe sing a-like: "Word, I'm out!" Or maybe like we sampled you from an old '70s disca tape, and you say: "You ain't the type of man that you used to be!" Basically want to just get you up in the stujo, which is kind of a cardboard box, with a microdaphone in it, not plugged in. Uh... maybe like, disregard... that last part. I'm out, peace, love!

=== Message 2 ===
'''THE CHEAT:''' ''{The Cheat noises}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Uh, he says you're a face. A facewich. Like a face ''witch'', like rides a broomstick? Or a facewich like between two pieces of bread?

'''THE CHEAT:''' ''{The Cheat noises}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' You're a facewich and blow up your house.

'''THE CHEAT:''' ''{frustrated The Cheat noise}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Your nose! Blow up your nose.

'''THE CHEAT:''' ''{The Cheat noises}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Epsom salt?! The Cheat, are you sure that's the direction you wanna go with this prank call?

'''THE CHEAT:''' ''{The Cheat noises, gnawing noises}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' And now, you're just gnawing on the phone. Gimme that! I'll show you how it's done. ''{quickly}'' Marzipan, this is Dean Prankcaller from the You're Gross Institute calling to ask you to come speak at our graduation ceremony. If you're interested, please walk into the bathroom and stare at your gross face until you make yourself puke. Thank you, the end, very much. ''{normally}'' Now that's a prank call! ''{more gnawing noises}'' Ugh...

=== Message 1 ===
'''QUESTIONABLE SURGEON:''' Mmmmmm yes, hello, Miss Marzipan. This is your questionable surgeon. We were just calling to ask if we could use the before and after photos from your ''{photos appear; the "before" photo shows Marzipan with a large nose and the "after" photo shows her as usual}'' questionable voluntary surgery in one of our advertisements ''{pronounced as "ad-VER-tis-ments"}''. Yes, that's right, I pronounced it "ad-VER-tis-ments".
== Easter Eggs ==
[[Image:MAM 15 Easter Egg.PNG|thumb|"I'm having a great time!"]]
*Click on the number display after the final message to see Bubs at the movies.
:''{Bubs is at the movies with Lord Quackingstick, who has a blonde wig. Part of Strong Bad's head is visible in another seat.}''
:'''BUBS:''' I gotta tell ya, Lady Quackingstick, I'm having a great time at the movies!
:'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{as Lady Quackingstick, in a sultry voice}'' Quack, quack!

==Fun Facts==
===Trivia===
*This answering machine has a new loading screen, showing a corner of Marzipan's table rather than the old spinning Homestar Runner logo.

===Remarks===
*The Main Page, toons links and the cartoon itself were added some time before the page was made, so users were met with a "404'd" message for the first few hours after the update. However, it was viewable by looking at the Flash file.
*"Republic of Wad" was mentioned one week earlier as a country of manufacture of unlicensed merchandise in [[licensed]].

===Fixed Goofs===
*When the toon was released, the Toons menu listed this toon as being released in 2007; this was changed to 2008 later that day.

===Inside References===
*[[Ducks]], [[Bread]], and [[Robots]] are mentioned.
*Lord Quackingstick appeared first in [[portrait]].
*Bubs' dilemma refers to the fact that Marzipan is [[The Only Girl|the only female main character]].
*The Cheat [[The Cheat Gnawing|gnaws]] on the phone.
*Judging by the way he speaks and says the lines "Mmmmmm" and "Yes, that's right," the questionable surgeon may have been the [[Generic Announcers|announcer]] who advertised [[Cold Ones#Expen$e Account Ones|Expen$e Account Ones]] in [[business trip]] and the [[Blubb-o's|Spicy Crispy Chicken Melt]] in [[nightlife]].

[[Image:Can_of_Peas.png|thumb|100px|"No probalo!"]]
__NOTOC__
'''Senor Cardgage''' first appeared in the [[Strong Bad Email]] [[kind of cool]]. He is apparently the creepy guy that lived down the street from [[The Brothers Strong]] when they were little, whose extreme sketchiness gave [[Strong Sad]] nightmares. He now runs [[Senor Cardgage Mortgage|his own mortgage business]] as well as a [[Senorial Day|used car dealership]], in addition to having a job as an [[the movies|usher]]. His name is pronounced "[[Senor|Seh-nor]]", not "Seh-nyor", because his name is spelled with an N rather than an [[Wikipedia:Ñ|Ñ]]. He is apparently [[Left Handedness#Ambidextrous Characters|ambidextrous]].

Some of his traits include:
* Suspiciously coming out of bushes and shrubs just as you walk by.
* Pronouncing words incorrectly (for example, he pronounces the word "loans", "lawns").
* Always carrying an old plastic [[Aldi Bag|Aldi grocery bag]] of mysterious contents.
* Loudly eating melty [[Zagnut Bars|chocolate bars]] while standing too close to you in lines.
* Smelling like [[Peas|pea soup]] (according to [[Homestar Runner]]).
* Speaking in phrases that are described by Strong Bad as "almost one word and not quite another," such as "excardon me" and "exobably not".
* "Calling at you as if you were a lady," regardless of your gender.

Strong Bad seems to look up to Senor Cardgage as sort of an idol or a father figure. He is constantly heard remarking on how cool Senor Cardgage is, and wishes he could be that cool. In [[Senorial Day]], he asks Senor to autograph his football, and then throw it to him. In [[alternate universe]], he says that his life is complete after going on a fishing trip with Senor Cardgage, and expresses joy at the thought of Senor's adopting him. In [[the movies]], he sees Senor as an usher, and tells [[The Cheat]] that "someday [he's] going to be the one tearing tickets and telling folks that forty-twone will be on their lest."
[[Image:Candy product alley.png|thumb|Senor's possible residence]]
Even though he has a car dealership and a mortgage company, his residence is unknown. It is suggested in [[Senorial Day]] and [[candy product]] that he is homeless, as he is shown in an [[alleyway]] sleeping in a sleeping bag and using his [[Wikipedia:Aldi|Aldi]] bag as a pillow, although in the email kind of cool Strong Bad implied that he lives behind a bush. Strong Sad said that Senor Cardgage lived down the street when they were little, implying he had a house at one point; however, there is no proof of this or of his current residence, if any. Although it is implied that he is poor, he offers to buy Strong Sad a can of peas at [[Strong Bad]]'s [[garage sale]] for $99, and then proceeds to walk away with it, supposedly paying, even though he is never seen to do so.

When Strong Bad is asked what he would be like if he was not stylish and buff in the email "kind of cool", he describes "Creepy Comb-Over Story Strong Bad" who is just like Senor Cardgage. Both are, at least to Strong Bad, "so cool, you don't even know [that they are] cool".

As shown in a commercial in [[theme song]], Senor Cardgage got fourteen degrees in the [[Crazy Go Nuts University|CGNU Online E-niversity]] during his lunch "take", including one that lets him "legally prescribe marriages in the state of Kansattica".
His "Left Name" is Tremendous Savings.

It is often debated whether Senor Cardgage and "Creepy Comb-Over Story Strong Bad" are the same person or not, but it is notable that during the "[[Sketchbook (video)|Sketchbook]]" extra on the [[strongbad_email.exe]] DVD, [[The Brothers Chaps]] refer to this character as Senor Cardgage, and during the commentary for garage sale, they remark, "Ah, good ol' Senor Cardgage. I guess he's a real character now." Also, in the [[TV Time Toons Menu|Toons Menu]], the description for [[Senor Mortgage]] reads "Wait. Is Senor Cardgage real?!"
His name is pronounced "[[Senor|Seh-nor]]", not "Seh-nyor", because his name is spelled with an n rather than an ñ.

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{singing}'' Start your day the Sbemail way, and never get out of bed!

<blockquote class="lappy email">
<div>subject: stupidest</div>
Hey Strong Bad<br />
I was wondering what was the stupidest thing that Homestar<br/> ever did, said, or imagined???<br />
ur biggest fan<br />
Spanky elgrondo N.Y.
</blockquote>

''{Strong Bad reads "Hey Strong Bad," in a bored tone and continues to read the rest of the email the same way. He draws out "ur" before biggest fan and reads "N.Y." as "Nueva York."}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{clears screen, typing}'' Well, my good Spank, that is ''way'' too broad a subject and would take several days just to scratch the surface of the tip of that iceberg. Especially the imagined part. That one has its own spreadsheet even. No, we'll have to get much more specific if we're gonna cover any stupid Homestar ground in one email. So it's time you people learned all about ''{cut to a scene with a U.S. Capitol-like building topped with a dome shaped like Homestar's head, and a banner featuring the the following title:}'' The Four Branches of Stupid Things Homestar's Done.

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{as the top of the building}'' Ooo. I'm a ''neglected'' official.

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' The first branch is in charge of keeping the public informed. ''{A dotted line is traced to a television set with Homestar's head on the screen. A caption appears under it that reads "The House of Doing Stupid Things on National Television".}'' It's the House of Doing Stupid Things on National Television!

''{Cut to Homestar Runner on the set of [[The Show]].}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Now isn't that a tasty makeover, lady friends? ''{A crowd full of ladies cheers. Zoom in on Homestar.}'' Huh? ''{zoom in even closer}'' Huh?! From Drab to Fab with nothing but mustaaard!

''{Pictures of the King of Town appear on the left and right sides of the screen. The one on the left is labeled "Drab" and features a "normal" picture of the King of Town. The picture on the right is labeled "Fab" and features the King of Town doused with mustard. Homestar holds up a mustard container with the word 'Musty!' on it. Crowd cheers. The pictures disappear.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Now my next guest says her man doesn't give respect when she <!-- don't edit this -->comes correct.<!-- please see talk --> But he thinks she's just a drama mama.

''{Cut to a shot of Marzipan looking angry, with the words "Alleged Drama Mama" at the bottom of the screen.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' So let's bring him out!

''{The crowd boos. Homestar turns towards a curtain, then a spotlight appears on Homestar and his clothes and appearance change instantly; his propeller cap is back-to-front, while stubble, a goatee and undereye bags have appeared on his face, and his shirt features a green hand and the words "DENIED! Panama City Beach".}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{sulkily}'' Yeah, whatever. You know you all want some.

''{A chair flies in from offscreen and hits Homestar in the face, knocking him down. The crowd cheers.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' That's right. Homestar secretly had ''himself'' on his own "You're a Bad Boyfriend" talk show.

''{Cut back to the list of "Stupid Things Homestar's Done." A dotted line is traced to a coffee mug with Homestar's face on it.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' The next branch tracks the stupid things Homestar does on the job. Here comes The Bureau of Doing Stupid Things at the Office.

''{Cut to the Office. Strong Bad is sitting in his cubicle wearing a headset, occasionally typing on his computer. Phones can be heard ringing in the background.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{talking into headset; looking bored}'' No ma'am, this would be a password you gave to us. Yes sir, it could be the last four digits of your dog, or your mother's maiden credit card number...

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{offscreen}'' Hey, Strong Bro, keg party at the water cooler!

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{turns his head offscreen towards Homestar}'' Not Now! I'm talking to Phone Tree Survivor Number Thirteen! ''{talking into headset}'' Yes, baby, the whole password.

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{offscreen}'' Stro Bro, free bagels at the water cooler!

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{looks excited}'' I'm sorry, ma'am, free bagels just happened.

''{Strong Bad scoots his chair backward out of his cubicle, making [[The Geddup Noise]] and leaving the headset behind. Cut to the water cooler, which has Homestar stuffed inside, with one leg hanging out of one of the water dispensers.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Aww, man! This isn't free bagels!

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' No, but it is free...ing Homestar from the water cooler. That's pretty sweet.

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{momentarily stutters}'' Just explain to me what you were ''trying'' to do when this happened.

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Well, I was in Barbados, hanging a picture on the wall...

'''STRONG BAD:''' Okay, that tells me everything I need to know. How 'bout we try this?

''{Strong Bad steps up to the water cooler. Cut to a closeup of the dispenser with Homestar's leg in it. Strong Bad presses the button on the nozzle.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Ow, ow, OW, STOP!

''{Strong Bad stops pressing on the dispenser. Cut back to the original shot of the water cooler.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Sweet genius, that hurt! Oh, well, just forget it. I'll just stay in here for the rest of my life. Just stack my mail on top of me, would ya? ''{Strong Bad walks off as a phone rings.}'' Thanks, S-bro! Man! Where should we go for lunch today? Chinese buffet?

''{Cut back to the list of "Stupid Things Homestar's Done." While Strong Bad talks, a scoreboard appears, which rolls up to its high number limit of 999,999 and then resets to zero.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' You know how in video games, if you get the super-duper high score, it eventually flips back to zero? Well, sometimes Homestar does something so stupid, he flips back to smart.

''{The scoreboard disappears as a dotted line is traced to a picture of Homestar with a graduation cap on. A caption appears under him that says "The joint Sub-Committee On So Stupid It's Smart-ities". Cut to Homestar in the Field atop a soap box with Strong Sad in the foreground. The words "Fourteen Times" are written on the soapbox.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Awash with flavor!

'''STRONG SAD:''' Uh, okay Homestar. Then what's two plus two?

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Well, ''{speaking quickly}'' the force between any two charges is equal to the absolute value of the multiple of the charges&mdash; ''{cut to a closeup; computer-type noises begin playing in the background}'' &mdash;divided by 4 pi times the vacuum permittivity times the distance squared between the two charges.

''{Cut to Strong Sad.}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' No, no, no, stupid! That's Coulomb's law.

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Oh, ''{cut back to wide shot of Homestar}'' right, sorry! Two plus two? That's easy. Twenty-two.

''{Cut back to the list of "Stupid Things Homestar's Done."}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' And last of course, the most powerful branch. The Boudoir of Doing Stupid Things While Inside a College Mascot Costume.

''{A dotted line is traced to a football helmet with Homestar's face on it. A caption appears under it that reads "The Boudoir of Doing Stupid Things While Inside a College Mascot Costume".}''

''{Cut to the Field at night with Homestar inside The Jolly Dumple costume. A campfire is also inside it.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Man, oh man, oh man! ''Man!'' Moving into this mascot costume was probably the coolest and least locking-myself-out-of-my-house-enest decision I ever made! ''{Homestar raises a stick with a juice box stuck on the end over the fire.}'' This juice box is gonna roast up good and plenty! Dark and lovely! Bed, Bath and Be-yond!

''{Cut to a wider shot revealing Coach Z.}''

'''COACH Z:''' Homestar, what are you doin'?! That thing is made out of flame pro-tardant Polymascotfoamalate!

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Polymascotfoamalate?! ''{his words echo}''

''{Fade to The Homestar Runner in the Old-Timey Field standing next to an alien. A spaceship has crashed into the factory in the background.}''

'''RUMBLE RED:''' But, Earthling, they don't have polymascotfoamalate on ''my'' planet. Eh, rumble.

==Easter Eggs==
[[Image:4branches personalstyle.png|thumb|A Great Idea for Personal Style]]
*Click on "spreadsheet" after Strong Bad types it to see a spreadsheet titled "A Great Idea for Personal Style". Across the cells is a drawing of Homestar's head wearing slices of meat and vegetables, and a handwritten caption that reads "MONGOLIAN BEEF WiG".
*Click on the cartoon in Strong Bad's cubicle to see a [[Dullard]] comic.
*At the end of the email, click on Homestar's head to see more fireworks.
*At the end, click on "Stupid" to see a [[Limozeen: "but they're in space!"]] cartoon:
:''{Larry, Gary, and Perry are seen on a teal planet with Rumble Red, a snake-like animal coming out of the ground, and a ringed planet in the background.}''
:'''RUMBLE RED:''' ''{gestures and stamps feet while speaking}'' Oh, but Limozeen-in-space-lings. They don't have hot blonde groupies with high bangs on ''my'' planet... ''{trailing off}'' eh, rumble...

==Fun Facts==

===Explanations===
*Homestar correctly states [[Wikipedia:Coulomb's law|Coulomb's law]], which determines the magnitude of the electrostatic force between two particles based on their charges <math>q_1</math> and <math>q_2</math> and the distance between them <math>r</math>:
*:<math>F=\frac1{4\pi\epsilon_0}\frac{|q_1q_2|}{r^2}</math>
*[http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/red "Red"] is a nickname for a [[Wikipedia:Communism|Communist]].
*"[[Polymascotfoamalate]]" is a [[portmanteau]] of quite a few words:
**"[[Wiktionary:poly-|Poly-]]" is a [[Wikipedia:prefix|prefix]] meaning "many", probably intended to refer to the large number of manmade materials whose names also start with the prefix ([[Wikipedia:polyester|polyester]], [[Wikipedia:polyurethane|polyurethane]], [[Wikipedia:polyisocyanurate|polyisocyanurate]], etc.)
**"[[Wikipedia:Mascot|mascot]]" is its own word
**"[[Wikipedia:foam|foam]]" is a word by itself, but in context, it may refer either to [[Wikipedia:foam rubber|foam rubber]], which is often used in wearable mascot costumes, or to [[Wikipedia:fire retardant foam|fire retardant foam]], which is unlikely given the Dumple's explosive qualities
**"[[Wikipedia:Ate (disambiguation)|-ate]]" is a suffix for a chemical compound with a full complement of [[Wikipedia:Oxygen|oxygen]] atoms.
*In many older video and arcade games, limitations of the game's scoring system would cause the score to "roll over" back to 0 when a score reached a certain upper limit. For example, if the game was only capable of displaying five digits for the player's score, achieving a score of 100,000 would cause the score to roll over to 0.
*[[Wikipedia:Mongolian beef|Mongolian beef]] is an American Chinese dish, consisting of sliced beef, stir-fried with scallions and other vegetables in a sweet and savory brown sauce, and served over steamed rice or cellophane noodles. The term "Mongolian" is intended to imply a vaguely exotic type of food. Neither the ingredients nor the methods of preparation are typically [[Wikipedia:Mongolia|Mongolian]].
*Barbados is an island country in the Atlantic Ocean, just east of the Carribean.

===Remarks===
*Strong Bad's polo shirt has a 5.25 inch floppy disk crest. Homestar, however, is not wearing the usual polo shirt attire to work.
*Homestar does not have any trouble breathing or speaking underwater. The sound of his voice is also not affected by the water.
*When The King of Town's "Drab to Fab" makeover is shown, the colors of his crown are reversed, as they were in [[The King of Town Evolution|earlier designs]].
*Homestar's legs during the The Show AM are for some reason the old design. Notice the left foot being at an awkward angle.
*Strong Bad mixes up technological phrases and assigns various gender titles, similar to what Homestar did in [[isp]].
*Homestar's eyes appear considerably bigger than normal while inside the water cooler; this may be due to the cooler's curved surface magnifying them. They also do not blink every four seconds, which suggests new eyes were made especially for this scene.
*During the scene of the globe in the Polymascotfoamalate cartoon, the white land masses at the top and bottom do not spin with the rest of the globe.
*The chemical formula for Polymascotfoamalate is a play on its name: Msct- for "mascot" and Fm8+ for "foamalate".
*The shadows cast by Homestar in the costume are to his side, although the fire (the source of light) is in front of him.
*When the spotlight falls on Homestar as the guest star boyfriend, everything around the room becomes darkened, including the flashing border lights on the sign behind him.
*Although Strong Bad criticizes Homestar for having himself as a guest on his own TV show, in the email [[pizzaz]], Strong Bad had himself as a guest on his own show, the [[Strong Bad-Type Interview Progrum]].

===Goofs===
*The floppy disk on Strong Bad's shirt jumps between Strong Bad's left and right side so that it's always facing the audience.
*In the scene where Homestar is inside the Jolly Dumple costume, the light reflected onto his legs flickers, but the light reflected onto his head doesn't.
*At the end of the firework Easter egg, you can hear a short "pop", which is the very beginning of Homestar's third "pa-too!" from earlier in the email.
*Strong Bad says "Nuevo York" while he's reading the beginning of the email. However, the conjugation should be feminine: "Nueva York"; because the noun "ciudad" meaning "city" is feminine.

===Fixed Goofs===
*When the email was first posted, Strong Bad typed "in" instead of "any" when he says "No, we'll have to get much more specific if we're gonna cover any stupid Homestar ground," at the beginning of the email. This was later corrected.
*When the email was first posted, ''[[Wikipedia:boudoir|boudoir]]'' was misspelled as "Budoir". This was later corrected.
*The first time the "Polymascotfoamalate" banner appears, it was misspelled "Polymascotfamalate."

===Inside References===
*The [[Soapbox]] makes another appearance when Homestar stands on it while he answers Strong Sad, and its label now reads "Fourteen times".
*{{Film|Limozeen}}'s animated debut was in [[best thing]].
*"MONGOLIAN BEEF WiG" is an example of [[lowercase i's]].
*[[The Jolly Dumple]] first appeared in [[mascot]].
*Homestar's fireworks sounds at the end of the email are the same sounds he makes in [[couch patch]] when he is spitting Teddy Grahams.
*This is another reference to Homestar saying something intelligent, as started by the email [[stupid stuff]].
*When Strong Bad explains that "when you get a super high score on a video game, it eventually clicks back to zero", the scoreboard makes the same noise as the [[Random Toon]] generator on the main page.

===Real-World References===
*This cartoon was released six days after the [[Wikipedia:United States general elections, 2006|2006 United States general elections]] on November 7th, and the references to "America" and the United States government were probably inspired by that event.
*"The Four Branches of Stupid Things Homestar's Done" are a reference to the [[Wikipedia:Separation of powers|three branches of the United States government]], and the shape of the governmental building is the [[Wikipedia:United States Capitol|United States Capitol]] building, often used as a symbol of the [[Wikipedia:Legislature|legislative branch]].
*Calling the alien a "communist fool" makes fun of most alien movies in the 1950s, including ''[[Wikipedia:The War of the Worlds (1953 film)|War of the Worlds]]'' and ''[[Wikipedia:Invasion of the Body Snatchers|Invasion of the Body Snatchers]]'', where the aliens usually represented the Soviet Union.
*[[The Show#The Show AM|The Show AM]] is a parody of several talk shows that feature [[wikipedia:Makeover|makeovers]] such as ''[[wikipedia:The Oprah Winfrey Show|Oprah]]'', ''[[wikipedia:Queer Eye for the Straight Guy|Queer Eye for the Straight Guy]]'', and ''[[wikipedia:Extreme Makeover|Extreme Makeover]]'', and [[Wikipedia:Tabloid talk show|tabloid talk shows]] such as ''[[Wikipedia:The Jerry Springer Show|The Jerry Springer Show]]'' and ''[[Wikipedia:Maury (TV series)|Maury]]''. Its name is a reference to [[Wikipedia: Match Game PM| Match Game PM]], a latenight version of Match Game with less censorship.
*[[Wikipedia:Bed Bath & Beyond|Bed Bath & Beyond]] is a chain of domestic-goods stores located throughout the United States.
*[[Wikipedia:Good & Plenty|Good & Plenty]] is a famous licorice candy.
*Dark & Lovely is a brand of hair relaxer and other hair care products.
*Homestar saying "That's how I become a law!" is a reference to the [[Wikipedia:Schoolhouse Rock!|Schoolhouse Rock!]] cartoon "[[Wikipedia:I'm Just a Bill|I'm Just a Bill]]", showing how a bill becomes a law in Washington.
*Strong Bad's recommendation to "throw a trash can through a plate glass window" is likely a reference to the climactic scene in Spike Lee's film ''[[Wikipedia:Do the Right Thing|Do the Right Thing]]''.
*The mustard bottle has the distinctive red cap and yellow barrel shape of [[Wikipedia:Plochman's|Plochman's]] mustard.
*The sing-song voice in which Homestar proclaims that mustard was used for The King of Town's makeover is very similar to the voice [[Wikipedia:Oprah Winfrey|Oprah Winfrey]] uses when making grand announcements on her television show.
*The sun logo for The Show AM is very similar to that of [http://www.techiediva.com/photos/uncategorized/todayshow.gif The Today Show] on [[Wikipedia:NBC|NBC]]. The "am" typeface is reminiscent of [[Wikipedia:TV-am|TV-am]].
*Homestar's "[[:Image:Homestarbadboyfriend.PNG|Denied]]" shirt during The Show AM segment pokes fun at [[Wikipedia:spring break|spring break]] events in [[Wikipedia:Panama City Beach, Florida|Panama City Beach, Florida]].
*The Old-Timey Alien's voice and crashed spacecraft suggest a reference to [[Wikipedia:The Great Gazoo|The Great Gazoo]] of [[Wikipedia:The Flintstones|The Flintstones]].
*Strong Bad's describing of password recall codes as "the last four digits of your dog" or "your mother's maiden credit card number" are plays on two commonly used recall codes, wherein you would type the last four digits of your social security number or your mother's maiden name to reclaim a lost password. Both of these are used for recalling a misplaced screen name password on [[Wikipedia:AOL Instant Messanger|AOL Instant Messenger]].
*Homestar having a chair thrown at his face on his talk show is a reference to [[Wikipedia:Geraldo Rivera|Geraldo Rivera]] on national TV in the 1980s.
I guess it's a little obvious when you watch it, so it doesn't necessarily need to be in the transcript/fun facts, but I still love how for that second or so when you see The Cheat's silhouette after Strong Bad asks, "What good are you?" it looks like he's somehow giving Strong Bad the finger, despite his fingerless The Cheat hand.
== Telegram ==

I don't think this is a goof:

''Telegrams are always typed in upper case. They also never use any punctuation, hence the word STOP at the end of each sentence.''

Later on, telegrams were able to use punctuation. The last sentence, however, would always end with an = sign.

See here for an example of this: [http://www.lileks.com/telegrams/2.html]

-- yeah, people just used "STOP" because four alphabetic letters were priced cheaper than one character of punctuation, so it was cheaper to say "STOP" than ".". Go figure. --Hixie
== Fun Facts ==
===Explanations===
*When Old-Timey Strong Bad responds to Lord Elsington Hallstingdingdingworth in the Easter egg, he calls him a "carpetbagger." A [[Wikipedia:carpetbagger|carpetbagger]] is actually a post-Civil War term for a Northerner moving to the South after the war to get rich or gain power.
*When Strong Bad says, "I'll leave the key under the at-may," he is speaking [[Wikipedia:Pig Latin|Pig Latin]]. "At-may" would mean "mat."

===Trivia===
*This is another instance of [[Strong Bad checking more than one email]].
*The title of the page may be a reference to the phrase "Lordy, Lordy! Look who's forty!" which is usually used on someone's 40th birthday, even though this is Strong Bad's 50th email.
*The phone ringing sound effect is "ringin.wav", from the Microsoft system sounds.
*The label on the disk in the floppy disk container reads "[[Floppy Disk Container#tongue of the fatman|tongue of the fatman]]".
*The date on the telegram is "11th/x4/29..".
*This is the first email in which we see the "DELETED" screen on the Compy. The background is blue, whereas it was green on the [[Tandy 400]].

===Remarks===
*It is strange that Homestar calls the computer screen a "TV [that] has words on it," yet he immediately knows he can type a response to the email.
*The telegram received by Old-Timey Strong Bad has an incomplete [[Wikipedia:Boolean algebra|boolean]] [[Wikipedia:truth table|truth table]] in the upper right corner.
*In the Easter egg, Old-Timey Strong Bad fails to end his telegram with a 'stop'.
*You can't click The Paper when it first comes down.

===Goofs===
*When Homestar is talking while reading/answering an email, his lips' movements and the movements in the reflection are not in sync.
*Telegrams are always typed in upper case. They also never use any punctuation, hence the word STOP at the end of each sentence.
*When Homestar types in "da cheated," it is typed in on the left. However, one would expect the entry to be in the right column, as there are already an odd number of attempts.
*Three different shades of blue were used for the system error screen (each of which were a different shade from the "MATT" screen). The color changes from a bright blue to a duller blue as Strong Bad is sitting back down.

===Glitches===
*When you adjust the contrast while Homestar is at the computer, his reflection isn't affected.
*When Strong Bad says "Matt" while typing "DELETED", his reflection appears above the Compy for a moment.
*When you adjust the contrast on the "Flagrant System Error" screen, the text changes color rather than the background.

===Inside References===
*Strong Bad starts his email checking by saying, "Ready? Go!" This is a reference to [[spring cleaning]], when he said that to start his spring cleaning.
*When he responds to Email #3 ("What is your favorite leg?"), Strong Bad mentions tape-leg. This is a reference to [[tape-leg]], one of his past emails, and represents yet another [[Tape leg|inside joke]] of the Homestar Universe.
*The phrase "The system is down" is from [[techno]].
*This is another occurrence of two running gags, [[How Do You Type With Boxing Gloves On?]] and [[DELETED]].
*Right before Strong Bad hangs up the phone, you can see it is [[Disconnected Telephones|not connected to anything]].
*This is another instance of [[Strong Bad's Computer Malfunctioning]].
*This is another instance of [[Stong Bad]].

===Real-World References===
*The blue "Flagrant System Error" screen is a spoof of the [[Wikipedia:Microsoft Windows|Windows 9x]] [[Wikipedia:Blue screen of death|Blue screen of death]].
*Strong Bad's line "Don't nobody go nowheres" is referencing a scene in ''[[Wikipedia:Back to the Future|Back to the Future]]'' where Marvin Berry says that exact line before his band takes a break from performing at the "Enchantment Under The Sea" dance.
*In the Old-Timey Strong Bad Easter egg, Strong Bad ends his emails with the word "stop". Back when telegrams were used, most people used "stop" instead of a period, due to the fact that punctuation (such as a period) was more expensive than four letters.

===Fast Forward===
*"Diggity", one of Homestar's attempts at "DELETED" (see below), appears in Strong Bad's deletion song in [[unused emails]] and [[car]].
*"De la soul", another attempt to say "DELETED", is sung by BrainKreig in the email [[death metal]].
*The "Flagrant System Error" screen appears again in [[virus]] and (as "Flamboyant System Error") in [[Biz Cas Fri 1]].
*The fake Windows system report appears again in [[The System is Down]], [[Not the 100th Email!!!]], and on [[Main Page 22]].
*Homestar would eventually say "DELETED" correctly in [[retirement]], when he helps Strong Bad delete an email harder than ever before.
*When [[Strong Bad]] is on the phone, he may be talking about poachers offering money for his [[Strong Sad|Strong Sad's]] "[[Soolnds|elephant feet]]". He mentioned this in [[modeling]].
*Some of the commands Homestar tries are references. Some are more obvious than others:
**'del monte' — An American [http://www.delmonte.com/ produce company].
**'beefeated' — The [[Wikipedia:Yeomen Warders|Yeomen Warders]] of the [[Wikipedia:Tower of London|Tower of London]] are popularly known as Beefeaters. Beefeater is also a widely available brand of gin.
**'meathead?' — This is probably referring to a catch phrase from the sitcom [[Wikipedia:All in the Family|'All in the Family']] in which [[Wikipedia:Archie Bunker|Archie Bunker]] called his son-in-law [[Wikipedia:Michael Stivic|Mike]] 'Meathead.'
**'stratego' — [[Wikipedia:Stratego|Stratego]] is a board game.
**'open sesame' — Famous words from the tale [[Wikipedia:Ali Baba|'Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves']]. This may be a further reference to the 1937 Popeye cartoon [[Wikipedia:Popeye_the_Sailor_Meets_Ali_Baba's_Forty_Thieves|Popeye the Sailor Meets Ali Baba's Forty Thieves]]. In it, Popeye fails to remember the magic words 'open sesame', instead trying a series of similar words and phrases to no avail.
**'de la soul' — [[Wikipedia:De La Soul|De La Soul]] is a hip-hop group made of Posdnous, Trugoy, and P.A. Mase. They are best known for their groundbreaking 1989 debut album [[Wikipedia:3 Feet High and Rising|"3 Feet High and Rising"]]. Their second album, [[Wikipedia:De La Soul is Dead|De La Soul is Dead]] is on [[Matt Chapman]]'s favorite album list.
**'733t3d' — A reference to [[Internet Slang|Leetspeak]], a variation of language used on the Internet where letters are replaced by numbers or symbols. While this is probably meant to say "leeted," it actually says "teeted."
**'Deltaco' — [[Wikipedia:Del Taco|Del Taco]] is a fast food chain that sells American and Mexican food.
**'whitebread'- Another example of Homestar's [[Bread|bread obsession]].
<!--Do not add any references to Naruto here. The English dub for Naruto was first aired several years after this email. Additionally, Naruto does not use the phrase "Believe it" in the Japanese version, so don't try to get around it with that either.-->
'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{singing}'' My email song! Where would I be without my email song? ''{brings up the email}''

<blockquote class="lappy email">
<div>subject: Handling Smelly Underling?</div>
Dear Strong Bad,<br>
I am a manager and I have been told I must talk to one<br>
of my underlings about their stench. As the foremost<br>
expert in dealing with smelly underlings, I ask you, what is<br>
the best way to go about this? I wish to do this with<br>
some tact & professionalism.<br>
Sincerely,<br>
PlasticDiverGuy<br>
Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
</blockquote>

''{Strong Bad pronounces each word in the greeting separately, with short deliberate pauses between them. He pronounces "Dartmouth" as two separate words, "dart" and "mouth", and "Scotia" phonetically as SKO-tee-uh.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' Man, that show Nova is boring, but I'd watch a show called Dartmouth anyday<!-- sic -->. ''{clears screen}'' Now lemme tell ya PastyDeadGuy, you came to the right man. I've got so many underlings, I've had to deal with every nearly every awkward social situation under the awkward social sun. I'm an expoit!<!-- sic --> ''{clears screen}'' Firstly, nothing says tact and professionalism like sending a subtle hint with a hilarious novelty t-shirt. So in your situation, you could just start wearing a shirt that has like,

''{Cut to a blank T-shirt}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' &mdash;some kinda&mdash;

''{A scientist holding a test tube appears on the shirt.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' &mdash;science person on it, with a clothespin&mdash;

''{A clothespin appears on the scientist's nose.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' &mdash;on his nose, and underneath it says: "You Reek-A!"

''{"You Reek-A!" appears on the shirt. Cut back to the Lappy}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' That way, your smelly underling, or smunderling, can get the message from across the room, and you can safely stay out of stink's reach.

''{Cut to Strong Bad in the bathroom, reading a newspaper titled "Da News Papes". He looks up.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' You know, I think I'd probably watch a TV show called "Stink's Reach", too.

''{He looks back down. Cut back to the Lappy.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' Secondly, nothing says tact and professionalism like slowly revealing a sensitive topic to a friend or loved one&mdash;

''{Cut to Strong Sad, drawing on a piece of paper with a pencil.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' &mdash;with a clever connect-the-dots puzzle.

''{Cut to a closeup of the paper. It's an alligator wearing sunglasses, holding a sign that reads "WE'RE GOING TO NEED YOU TO FLUSH TWICE!". The connect-the-dots portion is only the rectangular outline of the sign. Strong Sad stops drawing.}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' What is he trying to say to me with this cryptic message? ''{taps the pencil twice on "cryptic"}''

''{Cut back to the Lappy.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' Furthermore, nothing says pact<!--sic!--> and <!--sic some more!-->trofess<!--I mean it! Sic!-->sionalism like breaking tough news to someone with a reverse sunburn&mdash;

''{Cut to the pool, slowly zooming in. A sunburned Strong Mad faces away from the pool, which Coach Z is in.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' &mdash;on your brother's giant, square, billboard-sized back!

''{Strong Mad removes his singlet. His back has "your tiny bathing suit demeans us ALL!" on it. Cut to a closeup.}''

'''COACH Z:''' ''{slowly}'' Your tiny bathing suit demeans us all.

''{Cut to Coach Z.}''

'''COACH Z:''' Aw, fine then! I'll take it orf!

''{He reaches underwater and pulls out a very small pink g-string. The water turns black around him, accompanied by an odd humming noise. Cut back to behind Strong Mad.}''

'''STRONG MAD:''' PUT IT BACK ON! PUT IT BACK ON!

''{Cut back to the Lappy.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' Lastly, nothing says tact and professionalism like a hidden message written in condiments.

''{Cut to a picnic. Homestar Runner is sitting at the table. Strong Bad is wearing an oven mitt and holding a plate with a hot dog with his right hand, and holding a bottle of ketchup in his left. Some ketchup has spilt on the ground. More hot dogs can be seen on a grill behind him.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Here ya go, chumpion!

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{taking the hot dog; a small piece of cilantro can be seen in his mouth}'' Ooh! Thanks, grillmasta!

''{Cut to the picnic table as Homestar puts the hot dog down. It has "you've had that piece" written on it in ketchup.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' You've had that piece&mdash;

''{The camera pans to another hot dog, with "of cilantro" written on in mustard.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' &mdash;of cilantro&mdash;

''{The camera pans to a hamburger without its upper bun. "stuck between your teeth" is written in ketchup.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' &mdash;stuck between your teeth&mdash;

''{The camera pans yet again to a waffle with "since we ate at that mexican restaurant" with an arrow written in syrup.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' &mdash;since we ate at that Mexican restaurant&mdash;

''{The camera pans again to three pieces of sushi with "2" "wks" and "ago" written on them in wasabi.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' &mdash;two weeks ago.

''{Cut to a closeup of Homestar, who still has the piece of cilantro in his mouth.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Two weeks?!... ''TEETH?!''

''{Cut to the Lappy.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing, in a slightly high-pitched voice and in a forced manner}'' In conclusion, these are just some of the many things that nothing says tact and professionalism like. I hope you have enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. If elected class president, I can't promise you Coke in the water fountains, but I ''can'' promise a hard-worker that will make a difference. And try to get Mrs. Hardmaster fired.

''{He types "for child abuse." and quickly clears the screen, while shaking his head.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing, speaking normally}'' Whoa! It's like I regressed back to the fifth grade there. And the golden days of the five-paragraph essay. Well, good luck with your smunderling, PranceyDirtGirl. I gotta get started making those 'You Reek-A' t-shirts. Those things are gonna be awesome!

===Explanations===
*The [[wikipedia:Essay#The_five-paragraph_essay|five paragraph essay]] is comprised of an intro paragraph, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Essays of this type are often considered unacceptably short and simple after [[wikipedia:Middle school|middle school]].

===Trivia===
*The newspaper reads:
===Remarks===
*Homestar was shown with teeth in [[theme song]].

===Goofs===
*Strong Sad's connect-the-dots is misnumbered. The line between 9 and 10 would have to go through the alligator's hand, and there would be a gap in the sign between the 1 and 10 dots. The numbers should all be rotated one dot counter-clockwise for it to work right.

===Fixed Goofs===
*When the toon was first released, at the end, the "I" at the beginning of "I gotta get started..." was clickable, but did not do anything.

===Inside References===
*Strong Bad read [[Periodicals|Da NewsPapes]] while in the bathroom in [[candy product]].
*Strong Bad is holding a [[Quite Fancy 'Chup]] bottle (the label is obscured by his glove).
*Strong Bad refers to the emailer as "[[Prancing|Prancey]]".
*This is another instance of Strong Bad's [[couch mumbling]].
*The smunderling's intelligence being "low to middlin" likely refers to [[Thy Dungeonman II]], where you could strike the enemies high, low, or middlin.
*The smunderling's fact sheet in general is very similar to [[Jhonka]]'s from [[impression]].
*This is another appearance of [[oven mitts]].
'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{singing}'' Start your day the Sbemail way, and never get out of bed!

<blockquote class="lappy email">
<div>subject: stupidest</div>
Hey Strong Bad<br />
I was wondering what was the stupidest thing that Homestar<br/> ever did, said, or imagined???<br />
ur biggest fan<br />
Spanky elgrondo N.Y.
</blockquote>

''{Strong Bad leaps up from his desk, making the Geddup Noise, and dashes out of his cubicle, leaving the headset behind.

Eh, rumble.

'''THE HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' That's 'cause you're a communist fool, red! ''{Pronounces "communist" as "commonest"}''

''{Rumble Red looks shocked. Cut to a stage with The Homestar Runner and Old-Timey Strong Bad dancing with a banner over their heads reading "Polymascotfoamalate!"}''

'''BACKGROUND SINGERS:''' ''{singing}'' Polymascotfoamalate!

''{Cut to The Homestar Runner dressed up as a baby.}''

'''THE HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Feed it to the babies.

''{Cut back to the stage. Rumble Red joins them.}''

'''BACKGROUND SINGERS:''' ''{singing}'' Polymascotfoamalate!

''{Cut to Old-Timey Strong Bad with shaving cream on his face holding what appears to be baby powder in one hand and a cup full of shaving cream in the other.}''

'''OLD-TIMEY STRONG BAD:''' Or as a topping on Soured Cream!

''{Cut to a globe with the words "POLYMASCOTFOAMALATE" written in front of it with its chemical formula, (Msct-) + (Fm8+).}''

'''ANNOUNCER:''' Polymascotfoamalate! Helping America ''{The words "Ingenuitize the Future" appear above the globe as they are spoken}'' Ingenuitize the Future across the globe!

''{A record scratch is heard. We abruptly cut back to the Field at night with Homestar inside the mascot.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Ohhh. Right. So I should be perfectly safe! ''{singing}'' Polymascotfoa- ''{an explosion occurs, throwing Coach Z out of frame; after a beat, Homestar's mascot costume disintegrates with the sound of breaking glass.}''

''{Cut back to the list of "Stupid Things Homestar's Done". Strong Bad stands up in front of it as music starts playing.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' So there you have it! Now it's up to you to make your own informed decisions about the stupidest things Homestar's done. Get involved, ''{a banner appears above Strong Bad}'' write a letter to your local Homestarman, ''{another banner appears}'' or throw a trash can through a plate glass window! ''{Yet another banner appears.}''

''{Strong Bad walks off screen and the camera pulls in on the top of the U.S. Capitol building shaped like Homestar's head.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{singing}'' And that's how I become a law! ''{Fireworks appear in the air.}'' Ptoo! Ptoo! Ptoo!

''{[[The Paper]] comes down.}''

*:'''RUMBLE RED:''' ''{gestures and stamps feet while speaking}'' Oh, but Limozeen-in-space-lings. They don't have hot blonde groupies with high bangs on ''my'' planet... ''{trailing off}'' eh, rumble...
*:'''LARRY:''' That's 'cause you don't have polyhairsprayteasealate!<!--Do NOT change this to "ployhairspraycheesealate", discuss on the talk page if you have an issue-->
==Fun Facts==

===Explanations===
*"[[Polymascotfoamalate]]" is a [[Portmanteaus|portmanteau]] of quite a few words:
**"[[Wikipedia:Ate_%28disambiguation%29|-ate]]" is a suffix for a chemical compound with a full complement of [[Wikipedia:Oxygen|oxygen]] atoms.
Neither the the ingredients nor the methods of preparation are typically [[Wikipedia:Mongolia|Mongolian]].
*Barbados is an island country in the Atlantic Ocean, just east of the Carribean.

===Remarks===

===Goofs===
*Strong Bad says "Nuevo York" while he's reading the begining of the email. However, the conjugation should be feminine: "Nueva York"; because the noun "ciudad" meaning "city" is feminine.

===Fixed Goofs===

===Inside References===
*The [[Soapbox]] makes another appearance when Homestar stands on it while he answers Strong Sad, and its label now reads "Fourteen times".
*{{Film|Limozeen}}'s animated debut was in [[best thing]].
*"MONGOLIAN BEEF WiG" is an example of [[Lowercase i's|lowercase i's]].

===Real-World References===
'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{singing}'' Start your day the Sbemail way, and never get out of bed!

<blockquote class="lappy email">
<div>subject: stupidest</div>
Hey Strong Bad<br />
I was wondering what was the stupidest thing that Homestar<br/> ever did, said, or imagined???<br />
ur biggest fan<br />
Spanky elgrondo N.Y.
</blockquote>

''{Strong Bad leaps up from his desk, making the Geddup Noise, and dashes out of his cubicle, leaving the headset behind.

==Fun Facts==

===Explanations===
*"[[Polymascotfoamalate]]" is a [[Portmanteaus|portmanteau]] of quite a few words:
**"[[Wikipedia:Ate_%28disambiguation%29|-ate]]" is a suffix for a chemical compound with a full complement of [[Wikipedia:Oxygen|oxygen]] atoms.
*In many older video and arcade games, limitations of the game's scoring system would cause the score to "roll over" back to 0 when a score reached a certain upper limit. For example, if the game was only capable of displaying five digits for the player's score, achieving a score of 100,000 would cause the score to roll over to 0.
*Mongolia is a country in Asia, located south of Russia, and north of China.
*Mongolian Beef is an American Chinese dish, consisting of sliced beef, stir-fried with scallions and other vegetables in a sweet and savory brown sauce, and served over steamed rice or cellophane noodles. The term "Mongolian" is intended to imply a vaguely exotic type of food. Neither the the ingredients nor the methods of preparation are typically Mongolian.
*Barbados is an island country in the Atlantic Ocean, just east of the Carribean.

===Remarks===

===Goofs===
*Strong Bad says "Nuevo York" while he's reading the begining of the email. However, the conjugation should be feminine: "Nueva York"; because the noun "ciudad" meaning "city" is feminine.

===Fixed Goofs===

===Inside References===

===Real-World References===
*This cartoon was released six days after the [[Wikipedia:United States general elections, 2006|2006 United States general elections]] on November 7th, and the references to "America" and the United States government were probably inspired by that event.
*Strong Bad's describing of password recall codes as "the last four digits of your dog" or "your mother's maiden credit card number" are plays on two commonly used recall codes, wherein you would type the last four digits of your social security number or your mother's maiden name to reclaim a lost password.
''{We start with a familiar scene, Compy. Except Strong Bad isn't there, and there's a sticky note on the screen saying "in da basement -sb".}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{offscreen}'' Strong Bad! ''{walks up to the computer}'' Hey Strong Bad, can I borrow your fondue pot again? Oh. You're not here. I'll get to the bottom of this!

''{He sits down at the compy and starts typing. While he says everything correctly, he misspells "Strong Bad".}''

<blockquote class="email" style="background-image:none">Dear Stong Bah,<br />
Where are you?<br />
Your friend,<br />
Homestar</blockquote>

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{notices the note}'' Oh! "In da basement. From SB." Ohhh, that must stand for Stong Bah.

''{He stands up and heads for da basement. Upon arriving he finds Strong Bad, Strong Mad, and The Cheat playing TROGDOR! the arcade game.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Hey guys! Whatcha playin'?

'''STRONG BAD:''' Uh, playin'? No, we're, uh, we're doing The Cheat's taxes.

'''STRONG MAD:''' W-2!!!

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Bo-ring. I don't wanna play that.

''{Homestar walks off. The game blips.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Argh! Stupid peasant.

''{He kicks the arcade machine, which says, in a computer voice, "Trogdor!".}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Whoah! Pretty cool! ''{kicks it twice more, with the same results}'' All right, who's next?

'''THE CHEAT:''' ''{The Cheat noises}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Okay, fine.

''{Strong Bad gets off the stool to let The Cheat on, but he just looks at Strong Bad, and makes more noises.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Oh, right. Here ya go, little buddy.

''{He lifts him onto the stool and the theme music begins playing. As soon as it's over...}''

'''STRONG BAD and STRONG MAD:''' TROGDOR!

''{The game says "Trogdor!" and The Cheat begins playing.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Whoa, nice move! You're a master!

''{[[The Paper]] comes down with a link to play the Trogdor arcade game. After a little while, Homestar comes back with a stack of papers.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Hey, can you guys do my taxes next? ... You guys? ... Man, that's one big adding machine.

== Easter Eggs ==

*If you wait for Homestar to come by and ask them to do his taxes - after he says, "Man, that is one big adding machine" you can click on the [[TROGDOR!]] game to make it say "[[Trogdor]]."
*You can click on the top of Homestar's pile of papers to see his expenses:

<blockquote>Homestar Runner's<br>
2002 Expenditures<br>
<br>
$500 - monthly protection<br>
to The C.<br>
<br>
$75 - straps and practice</blockquote>

:*When you have Homestar's expenses displayed, you can click and hold on the last item in the list "straps and practice" to see a picture of something that looks like a hand-drawn baseball card. It bears a resemblance to the [[Kewpie Dan]] drawing from [[The House That Gave Sucky Treats]].

== Fun Facts ==
===Explanations===
*Strong Mad says "[[Wikipedia:Tax forms in the United States#W-2|W-2]]!", which is an [[Wikipedia:U.S. Internal Revenue Service|IRS]] tax form.
*An [[wikipedia:Adding machine|adding machine]] is a type of [[wikipedia:Calculator|calculator]].
*Homestar paying Strong Mad, Strong Bad, and The Cheat "monthly protection" suggests that the three are each a [[Wikipedia:Bagman|bag man]] for a [[Wikipedia:Protection racket|protection racket]].

=== Trivia ===
*The label on the disk in the floppy disk container reads "[[Floppy Disk Container#manhunter new york|manhunter new york]]".

=== Remarks ===
*On the Monday following [[the show]], there was no new [[Strong Bad Email]]. Instead, there was a post-it note that said "In da Basement". If you clicked on it, it took you to the aformentioned toon short.
*Homestar's total expenditures come out to $8727.07.
*The top paper in Homestar's stack of papers says "important document #402".
*The Cheat plays the game [[Left Handedness|left-handed]].
*Some of the sounds used in this toon are slightly off from their game counterparts. The peasant burnination sound is higher pitched and the squished peasant sound is played faster.
*Strong Bad has two exact stools (one for his [[Strong Bad's Technology#Computers|computer]] and one for the TROGDOR! game.)

=== Glitches ===
*At the start, the Compy's contrast knob is there. When Homestar comes in it is missing, but you can click it anyway. It doesn't do anything either time.
*When Strong Bad kicks the arcade machine, the kicking sound effect comes as his leg is pulling back, not as it is hitting the game.

=== Inside References ===
*Pork [[b/w]] beans refers to the Strong Bad Email [[helium]], in which [[Marzipan]] and Homestar discuss the subject briefly. <!--B/W NOW HAS ITS OWN PAGE The abbreviation "w/" for "with" is not used, instead it's "b/w" which was used on old vinyl records and singles to refer to the B-side ("b/w" = "backed with").-->
*"Hey Strong Bad, can I borrow your [[Strong Bad's Fondue Pot|fondue pot]] again?" refers to [[50 emails]].
*This is another appearance of the [[Witches' Brew]].
* This is another instance of [[Stong Bad]].

=== Real-World References ===
*The page title "Quite exciting this computer magic" is a quote from the movie ''[[Wikipedia:This Is Spinal Tap|This is Spinal Tap]]''. One of the band members (Viv Savage) says it while playing a game similar to [[Wikipedia:Missile Command|Missile Command]] on a TRS-80 Color Computer in the tour bus.
