* This is the first time we have seen [[Stinkoman Headquarters|Stinkoman's House]]. (Or any 20X6 character's house, for that matter).
*Aside from the "[[Kerrek]]" and "[[Trogdor]]" versions of the [[Peasant's Quest Movie Trailer]], stinkogame.swf is the single largest Flash file on the site.

* In the bottom right-hand corner of the PLAY GAME! screen it says "V7.1 EPISODES 1-9".
** It said "V6.0 EPISODES 1-8" until September 5, 2005, when the ninth level was added.
** It said "V5.0 EPISODES 1-7" until August 1, 2005, when the eighth level was added.

== Levels 4 to -0 ==
* This game formerly lacked the gray navbar at the bottom of the screen to move to other parts of the website. But when Level 4 was added the links were added also.
* In the beginning of level 6, in the cutscene when Stinkoman is playing the game the music is the same as the moon level. When he gets Game Over it is also the same music you get when it's Game Over. He might be playing Stinkoman 20X6!

* The quality of the music in Level 7 onward is higher than the other ones, resulting in sharper sound.
*When world 8/-0 was first released, the Poorbt at the beginning of level -0.1 came from the right side of the screen. It now comes from the left.
**With the release of version 7.1, it comes from the right again.

== Level 9 ==
*Version 7 enabled the menus to be navigated with either the mouse or keyboard.
*When version 7 was released, Stinkoman's punches changed from the usual pattern. They used to fly forward a small bit, while falling slightly, and then disappear. However, it seems they now have much the same traits as the lasers the ship fires, heading almost straight forward without any hindrance.
**Because of this, you can kill the Greggo at the beginning of 1.2 by shooting repeatedly as you fall into the level.

*When level 9 was first released, your number of shields would remain constant after losing a life. This meant that you could hoard shields if you had lives to spare, or that you could use up all your shields on one life and have none on the next. This has since been changed: after losing a life, your shield count always resets to 3.

'''The Geddup Noise''' was the sound [[Strong Bad]] made when he got up from his computer, supposedly by the stool scraping against the carpet. It has also happened when he sat down to use his computer.

It is very popular, and even inspired two cheap knockoffs: [[The King of Town|The King of Town's]] "The Standing Up Noise!!" and Strong Bad's "The Git Outcha Seat Sound", which was accompanied by [[Strong Mad]] as [[The Teach]]. It was originally called "the get up noise" by Strong Bad in [[the bet]].

The Geddup Noise has made a guest appearance on [[Homestar Runner|Homestar]]'s [[The Show]], but did not get the correct answer of "WAY-O, WAY-O". As a result, it won a year's supply of The Show's home edition game, which is made by [[Boardelectrix]]. It also inspired [[The Cheat|DJ Teh Cheat]] to create a Geddup Noise indietronic remix, which [[Coach Z]], [[Bubs]], and Strong Mad (again as The Teach) were seen dancing to in [[Club Technochocolate]]. Later on, [[Pom Pom]] uses this song as a ring tone for his [[Cell Phone|cell phone]] in [[technology]].

According to Strong Bad, The Geddup Noise eventually bought a house in the Coches and now just snowboards all day, still ocassionally popping up in very odd celebrity endorsements for products such as [[Hamburger Shampoo]], which is "Geddup Noise Approved!" [[Strong Sad]] did not approve of this selling out, and had previously remarked that "The Geddup Noise used to be cool" while listening to it on [[Radio Stations and Shows#The AM Morning "CRUDE" Crew|The AM Morning "CRUDE" Crew]].

Prior to its debut in [[studying]], Strong Bad didn't make a noise when he got up from his chair. An exception was in [[depressio]], where Strong Bad made some sort of noise when he got up, but it wasn't the Geddup Noise. In [[flag day]] and [[sibbie]], well after the noise's debut, Strong Bad rose from his stool without making the noise.

In the DVD commentary for [[army]], The Brothers Chaps acknowledge that some people have noticed that the then-untitled Geddup Noise sounds like a stool scraping across wood (this is how the sound was recorded) even though the [[Computer Room]]'s floor is carpeted.

== Chairscoot ==
In the email [[geddup noise]], it is said that Chairscoot has replaced The Geddup Noise. After The Geddup Noise made it big overseas, he was replaced by the current sound, his cousin Chairscoot, somewhere around email #84 ([[kids' book]]).

Both. We still have relatives from N.O. staying at our house. That's how I was (am) affected by Katrina. I didn't get it bad from Rita. My parents say our house suffered no physical damage. *Whew!* I did, however, have the pleasure [sic] of trying to eat meals in the cafeteria at school with a little more than double the usual number of people there at once, and a llittle less than half the food. And there have been and still are rolling power outages all across campus for the past 3 days. Other than that, I'm fine. I even got a five day weekend out of it. In response to your question 'wouldn't it be pronounced aitch-are-wiki?', the answer is 'no'. Not in England. *The [[HRWiki:2005 Fall Pledge Drive|Pledge Drive]] was a time to encourage users to donate money voluntarily to help pay for the wiki's costs (explained in that link). It's a way of raising money that some organizations use over here, especially [http://www.npr.org public radio]. We didn't raise as much money as we had hoped; discussion about that is at [[HRWiki_talk:2005_Fall_Pledge_Drive#Looking_ahead]].
*We had to stop letting people register as users, or edit pages if they weren't users, because of an attack by a vandal who used [[HRWiki:NSMC vandal|over 1,000 usernames]] to vandalize pages.
*By the way, I'm not sure which internet browser you're using, but [http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ FireFox] has a [https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?application=firefox&category=Languages&numpg=10&id=68 plugin] that lets you click on a word to look it up in an online dictionary. :#I don't like the new ''Simpsons'' episodes. I haven't liked them since about the time Maude died and Barney got sober, around six years ago. When the show first aired, the episodes had a completely different feel. The plots were more straightforward, a lot of the humor was biting and satirical, and the characters had heart and soul. One of my favorite episodes (<span class="plainlinks">[http://snpp.com/episodes/7F19.html #7F19]</span>) is when Lisa's teacher thinks she has Lyme disease and a substitute teaches her class. I found it to be so moving that nearly fifteen years later, as I type this, I still get a little misty-eyed. Nowadays, however, the plots jump all over the place (if there even is a plot to speak of), and it's unusual for story elements introduced in the first act to figure into the last act at all. The humor has lost its edge and is more wacky and non-sequitur (like a bad imitation of ''Family Guy'') or just plain stupid. They seem to have run out of ideas and just rehash the same tired, unfunny running gags. The characters, which used to be more well-rounded, are one-dimensional shells of their former selves. I guess somewhere along the line the writers realized you can't have real character growth if your cast never ages. What saddens me most is that younger viewers, some of whom weren't even ''born'' during the early years, think that what they're churning out now is as good as it's ever been, and that's just not so. *sigh*
:#Yes, I like Matt Groening's other main creation, ''Futurama''. Being set in the future and largely in space means they can get away with more, and overall I appreciate at as a silly diversion kind of show. :Yes, that's also true. They also appear in Harry Potter, and I have a quote on my user page that refers to that. But here on the Wiki, we use the term to refer to vandals who try to screw up the Wiki. Sometimes they add useless (and often offensive) messages to the pages, sometimes they delete material from the pages, sometimes they change the page titles to nonsense, sometimes they create useless pages. :    If a comment really is a continuation of an earlier thread, then go ahead and piggyback, but if it's a new thought, then it's perfectly fine to (and I prefer that you would) start a new thread. :) I reorganize my talk page from time to time and it helps me keep everything straight. As for archiving, I'm probably gonna put it off for at least a little bit longer. Only recently has this page exploded to the point that archiving would be necessary. If you want to see a page really in need of being split, look at [[User talk:Tom|Tom's talk page]].
:    As for the user who deleted things, well, he's not a troll. You may disagree with the things he deleted, but each example was something that is borderline. I even agree with a couple of them. :Sorry for the delay in responding. I might suggest that you would get a faster reply by posting questions to the [[HRWiki_talk:FAQ|FAQ talk page]]. Anyway, it's possible to recreate the blockquote style outside the wiki, but you need to know some CSS and where to find it. First of all, the HTML (<nowiki><blockquote> ...blah blah <br/> ... </blockquote></nowiki>) is the same as the code you get when you press "edit", so you could just copy one of those to practice. What you need then is the various definitions for "email" found in [[MediaWiki:Monobook.css]] (and possibly other CSS files... check the source code of a wiki page to see what they are). All you need to do to create a page is to go to it and start editing it. Make sure you save the page, so it actually writes something down to create the page! Suppose you wanted to create a page called "strombalos" under your user space, then you'd go to [[User:notstrongorbad/strombalos]] (notice how it's in red now -- if you click on it now it'll take you straight to the edit page), and start adding information. It's that simple! You can even (from your user page) type the new URL yourself and start it that way. As for templates: all you need to do for the basic form is to put regular wiki code. There is more on templates that you can learn [http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Template here], cuz they have neat stuff like variables and the like. There is more general help [http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Section here]. Now for your specific case, you want to make a welcome page for our guests. I won't go into detail here, but you must use the template format in a special way. Suppose you had a template [[User:notstrongorbad/welcome_template]] in that page. Then you inject the code: <code><nowiki>{{subst:User:notstrongorbad/welcome_template}}</nowiki></code> into the victims', er, guests page and hit submit. When we upgraded to MediaWiki 1.5, it introduced a bug in the way the system handles the new messages indicator. Once you are able to log in, just type "/msg nickserv register <password>" (and make up a password of course) and it will register your nickname. Chat clients are good for this cuz they allow you to enter the password so that it can automatically identify you. Anyway once identified you can do all sorts of cool things with your nickname. As of right now, yeah your nickname's still logged in and hasn't timed out. Okay, so after a ''second'' viewing under the tutelage of Pom Pom's keen eyes, it appears that the 3805 bug (which has now been fixed) is not related to the behavior of the watchlist at all. It seems that users now have no control over whether their talk page is on their watchlist or not. If someone sends you a message, your talk page is automatically watched. When you check it, it is automatically unwatched. If you're looking for a response as to the new STUFF's simplicity, I would say it is pretty easy if you follow the directions. I do have a suggestion, though. For the how to revise page you have the entire template out for cutting and pasting, but the initial template setup has the optional things on parts of it. It might make it easier to take the optional notes and the false user votes off of that template so it's easy to cut and paste the entire thing. That's what I think anyway. :Currently nothing. There is no longer any such thing as the trusted group. We created it specifically to allow access until such time as all the malicious usernames could be blocked. Once they were all blocked, regular access was restored and the trusted group was dissolved. If you look in the list of users, the "trusted" label still appears next to various users because of the way the software stores it, but at present there is no mechanism for me to either remove the label from those who already have it or to add it to those who don't. The reason we keep such a close eye on people who aren't members is that it just happens that most of the edits that are redundant, obvious, or otherwise non-beneficial come from anonymous users. The vast majority of trolls are anonymous as well. So, to make a long story short, '''do not ''automatically'' revert anonymous edits.''' (Note: if we wanted, we could prevent anonymous editing with a simple setting; obviously, we have not chosen to do this.)

:If a logged in user makes a bad edit, it can be reverted just like an anonymous edit. '''Logged-in users get a little special treatment, however.''' First of all, it's polite to list a reason in the edit summary instead of simply rolling back the page. In any case, what caught my attention was an anonymous user dumped, say, 50% more info on the Free Country article. I've noticed over the weeks that 90% of anonymous edits tend to be speculation, stating the obvious, or just plain wrong. Let's say the other 9% are helpful typo, spelling and grammar corrections. It's that 1% that leads to doubt. This guy/gal radically expanded a decent article, but I couldn't tel whether the expansion was worthy or not. I know I was previously advised to err on the side of expanded content, but I've seen even registered users get slammed for adding little bits of info to articles. This guy/gal added a lot, and when I first saw it, I balked. It seemed like speculation, so I reverted.

Then '''Mr. Bojangles''' re-reverted. I looked at it a second time - this time I saw disconnected thoughts that added only confusion - so I reverted ''again''.

Then '''you''' reverted my change, and I looked at it a third time. This time, I saw neither speculation nor confused thinking - only prose that needed refining.

I admit I've been in a bad mood recently, and have been, er, draconian in my enforcement of what I perceive is appropriate for the Wiki. I admit I was wrong reverting this article across the board.

If someone has something important to add, they usually take the step of registering first. Most of my edits were relatively minor until I registered. In fact, it was when I was trying to add something more substantial that I was encouraged to join.

:I appreciate that you consider me something of a mentor, and I take seriously my responsibility to you and others I help. I carefully consider any advice I give, and it is always my hope that each user's experience here is improved by my input. This can't always be the case when someone disagrees with me, but in cases like that I try to be as diplomatic as possible. As far as anonymous users go, I try to incorporate any part of their contributions that I can—anything—so that they will feel important and be comfortable enough to finally become full contributing members.

I don't know whether my actions actually did anything, or whether it was just coincidence that the attack stopped (almost) at that point. Thanks for the image revert. I probably should have discussed the choice of image earlier, but hindsight is 50/50. I didn't exactly have my heart set on any one image, since the one I came up with originally was a different one altogether. I could see an edit war happening with this feature, what with like 50 images to choose from. I just wanted something easy to make out and understandable, that embodied the early Fanstuff, particularly drawings (since they don't usually feature those anymore). :I left your vote and added one of my own, because it solved a technicality: namely, that version of the item was declined even though it showed more accept votes. By evening out the vote, there are no longer two revisions with the accepts in the lead. What really happened is that those two items were merged and the revision that was winning overwhelmingly was accepted. That whole mess was kind of confusing. As for the archive, I considered making it different colors, and then decided it wasn't worth the trouble. In the five months since we've been using the new format, we've only had two, maybe three, instances of people voting in the archives. *I worked on the transcript for [[portrait]].
*I had the idea to put the "[[Mellow Mushroom|The Sun Almost Rises]]" on the page, and did all of it. Whether it survives remains to be seen...
*I worked a lot on the new format of the [[Secret Pages]] page.
*I worked on the [[HRWiki:History|History]] page before it was completed.
*I was patrolling recent changes when I noticed someone just replaced a page with ----- STOLE MY COW!! It was the first stage of the NSMC. I was the first to revert a page, and did a lot of reverting. I also won a cool award. (Thanks [[User:AbdiViklas|Abdi]])
*I've welcomed 52 people.
*I created [[Moses MaloneLand]], [[Nuclear Class Submarine "Soccermom"]], and [[Outer Space]].
*It isn't something I've ''done'', but it's still pretty cool. Finally, after counting ''every'' single password reminder e-mail I got, I found out that I hold the record of the most, at 4,992 password reminders. DorianGray came in a close second.
