==Visual similarities to Creepy Comb-over Strong Bad==
Senor Cardgage has many physical features that are similar to those of Strong Bad (ie. boxing gloves and mask, no shirt, black pants, etc.) TBC obviously patterned him after Strong Bad's general appearance when they created him; however, in the Homestar Runner universe, it is possible that Strong Bad actually patterned his own appearance after Senor Cardgage. It would make sense that Little Strong Bad, after living down the street from him for a while and coming to believe that he is one of the coolest guys ever, might decide to look, act, and maybe even sound as much as possible like the good Senor. It is never stated directly this is actually the case, but it is implied in the email [[kind of cool]] when Strong Bad describes his tall, dumpy alternate self (Creepy Comb-Over Story Strong Bad) as an exact duplicate of Senor Cardgage. &mdash; [[User:Ashen|Ashen]]
:I reverted the above edit from the page, but moved it here since it represented at least several minutes work for someone. Unfortunately, views on the interrelation of Strong Bad and Senor Cardgage are far from unanimous; edits are regularly made and reverted asserting either that Creepy Comb-over and he are identical and should be merged, or are separate people and should be further elaborated.
:Your theory about Strong Bad adopting Cardgage's style is fun to hypothesize about. However, it represents one of our ongoing attempts to take "artifacts" of [[The Brothers Chaps|TBC]]'s creative evolution and explain them into backstory or wrestle them into continuity. (See my [[Talk:geddup_noise#Rant_Re:_Reality|lengthy rant]] on the subject.) The simple explanation for the visual similarities are that Creepy Comb-over SB started as SB's imagination, then Strong Sad said the hypothetical SB described was ''like'' S. Cardgage; then TBC liked the character they had created so much they made him a "real" character and gave him a short (even noting the contradictions and confusion they had just raised&mdash;"Wait, is Senor Cardgage real!?!"). By this time the hypothetically aged SB had gotten inextricably entangled with the memory of the (assumedly real) neighbor Se'''&ntilde;'''or Cardgage, who was immediately obscured by the problematically-real product of their union, Se'''n'''or Cardgage. Thus we can have Strong Bad appear in the same [[Senorial Day|shot]] with a character that is neither his imagined self nor the actual neighbor from the past, but... ''something'' else altogether. &mdash;[[User:AbdiViklas|AbdiViklas]] 02:44, 19 November 2005 (UTC)

So, let me get this straight. Se&ntilde;or Cardgage is the actual neighbor from the past, and Se'''n'''or Cardgage is a figment of Strong Bad's imagination? [[User:Gm1121983|Gm1121983]] 8:47 pm 17 Jan 2006
Seems to me like Senor Cardgage is to Strong Bad as Homsar is to Homestar. Maybe a better name would be stong bad?

Senor Cardgage and Strong Bad are two separate characters as well as Homsar and Homestar. Course, some people believe that Senor Cardgage is really Strong Dad. &mdash;[[User:2Fast2Furious|2Fast2Furious]] 17:34 20 April 2006

Surprisingly, [[The Brothers Chaps]] made Creepy Comb-Over Strong Bad the ''real'' Senor Cardgage. I would have thought that the real Senor Cardgage would scare me as much as [[Wikipedia:Aloysius Snuffleupagus|Snuffleupagus]] did when I was little. Senor Cardgage is a little creepy, but he's also funny. His voice cracks me up. [[User:2Fast2Furious|2Fast2Furious]] 01:42, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
:Hah! I'm not the only one!! (About Snuffy, I mean.) And yeah, Senor Cardgage is just plain too creepy for me to find funny. Hey Just thought I would mosey on over here and second that Mark Norton motion, I lived on the Ontario Side of Lake Erie in 2004 when these horrors were still just being broadcast over the television and I couldn't help but think that the two had to be related even in those early days it's just too perfect a Comparison I mean you really can't get much closer to a Senor Cardgage than this guy... especially when the guys who came up with the character used to live in the broadcast region for the commercials. They certainly are creepy especially late at night or on SA. As this is no doubt likely to draw some attention due to the large amount of crossover between the SA, YT, and HS audiences. I was thinking something like this could go up on the Senor Cardgage page if people are cool with that.

"Comparisons can be drawn between Senor Cardgage, and real life furniture salesman Mark Norton who is known for his odd ball late night television advertisements. Usually seen between the hours of 1 and 3 A.M. on the Cleveland FOX affiliate which broadcasts into the Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, South Eastern Ontario, and other regions surrounding Lake Erie."
I have severe doubts about that reference. For one, the dry cleaners lost his lucky pants, Bubs just can't fit in them. Why do you disagree with it so strongly? The Bubb Rubb meme was, as 0rion pointed out, fairly popular, and even though rubs and ointments are a common occurrence in the H*R series, I think it's still likely to be an intentional reference. It seems to me that it should be on there for at least a couple of days so that folks can know about it and discuss it. I'm not trying to be annoying about this, I just think that there are people who think that it is an intentional reference, and those people would have voted "Accept" if they'd known it was on the STUFF page. Even if the "Decline"'s still win, which I think they probably will, even with a longer vote, it seems unfair that there was such a brief window in which to actually vote. --[[User:Huitzilopochtli|Huitzilopochtli]] 21:52, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
:::::This isn't the best place to discuss anyone's doubts in the STUFF process, but there were no supporting votes or arguments presented for that fact at all. The precedent in STUFF is that an item is "swiftly and unanimously declined" in that scenario. Surely ''someone'' would have supported it in that time frame if any numbers which could have outvoted at least 18 people were going to. I also want to point out that the STUFF notice was appropriately placed in the Fun Facts section. Anyone who wanted to review the STUFFed fact had that opportunity in that time frame - a high-activity time frame, as it happens. Again, out of all the registered users who could have, none supported it. Anyway, I think the fact was given a fair hearing and could never have achieved acceptance based on the way it went.
:::::Additionally, there's no purpose in holding a vote open if the outcome is clear. This is not like a presidential election or anything, where our future and security ride in the balance, and stopping voting early because there's a clear outcome is a violation of voters' rights. This is a STUFF vote for the purpose of determining consensus. Once consensus is reached, there's no reason to continue the exercise. Not that others' votes are unwanted, but because they are unneeded. {{User:Qermaq/sig}} 22:07, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
In cases where there is about a 20-vote difference before then, however, they are promptly closed. These guidelines have worked well so far, so we'll keep following them. Either they went on his story diversion simply so they could say "the word 'Bubs' rhymes with 'rub' and for no apparent reason his name is on the label...." Or...since this is TBC, they made a diversion for an inside joke\cultural reference\past references. :::Okay, it's <i>possibly</i> a reference. "Possible" references are not notable because they'd be innumerable -- limited only by our collective imagination. Hey, there was a dartboard in the "Cheers" bar, so the dartboard must be a Cheers reference! :Re the comment "I can't wait until someone hears from the Brothers Chaps that it was, in fact, a reference to Bubb Rubb" - this has indeed happened in the past, where a STUFFed fact's status was overturned by incontrovertible evidence. Of course, the STUFF process is not perfect. But, no amount of voting by us can accurately divine what TBC's intentions were. ::I think that's perfectly reasonable. My main issue was really the idea of the HR wiki community, and making sure that things are done fairly. It's certainly true that lives do not hang in the balance of this decision. However, what ''is'' at stake is new members' perceptions of this community. This Fun Fact was my first contribution, and I had no idea what the "official" process was. The initial response to the fact seemed, to me, downright hostile. People pounced on it, held a vote for a few hours while I was offline, and declared it "swiftly and unanimously declined". It felt as though I'd just vandalized the site, which I hadn't since I honestly believe that the fact is valid. It also felt as though if I weren't one of the main and most active editors, nothing I do will matter. I realize now that's not the case, and for the most part, the membership here seems very reasonable and friendly. I do appreciate that the vote was re-opened. I knew it would be declined anyway, but the real issue was being able to contribute to the discussion in a meaningful way. By the same token, this is a community, and if the community declines the reference after hearing all arguments for and against it, then that's fair, pending any divine intervention from TBC. I realize how insignificant this one issue is. It does, however, have an effect upon those involved, and we should be aware of how our actions might snowball into trends that will turn people away. That said, I think this situation, all told, was handled reasonably. I, for one, will put it to bed and move on to more important and interesting things in my life :) [[User:Huitzilopochtli|Huitzilopochtli]] 15:19, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
There was no reason whatsoever that the vote should have been reopened, and shame on whoever decided to do it. 18 decline votes in one day is a pretty obvious thing meaning that the fact shouldn't stand.
:Looking back at the situation, I think it turned out well. When the fact was closed, there was a big disparity between this talk page discussion (4-1 people in favor of the fact) and the STUFF vote (18-0 against the fact). The reason for this is that seasoned users both know how the STUFF process works better and are more likely to decline a given fact. I entirely understand why Huitzilopochtli and others felt left out of the process, and the fact that he is satisfied with the process in the end makes its reopening worth it, in my eyes. We need the contributions of new users and don't want to turn them away.

:At the same time, reopening of facts should be rare &mdash; I take this event not as precedent for regularly reopening facts in the future, but a strong reminder to give reasonable facts (as this one was) a little more time in the STUFF process, even when there's a majority of votes against them, and especially when there's good reason to believe that most of the supporters of the fact haven't had a chance to vote. {{User:Trey56/sig}} 20:30, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
== The bar in the basement ==

Just a note: in this toon, a stairway leading upwards from [[the bar]] is revealed. So, it's likely that the bar is in the basement of some other building.
#Perhaps the most logical building for it to be the basement of is [[Bubs' Concession Stand]], as it is a commercial establishment and TBC alluded to the possibility of exploring it further after Bubs descended into it in [[geddup noise]] (see the DVD commentary).
#Another possibility is that Homestar leaves the meeting to go take a bath in what appears to be the [[Bathroom of the Brothers Strong]] (in which we have [[Homestar Presents: Presents|previously seen]] an old-fashioned bathtub. So, it might seem that the bar is in the basement of the [[House of the Brothers Strong]]. However, this seems unlikely since we have seen much of that basement already ([[Strong Bad's Basement]], [[Strong Bad's Room]]).
#Finally, it's possible that the bar is in the basement of [[Homestar Runner's House]]. In this case, it would seem that the bathroom Homestar goes to is his own, and that he, like Strong Bad has both an old-fashioned bathtub and a shower in his bathroom. Facts supporting this point of view are (a) Homestar has been seen most of the other appearances of the bar with Pom Pom, (b) it would make sense for Homestar to take a bath in his own tub, and (c) if Homestar is the Supreme Overlord of the [[Broternal Order of Different Helmets|Broternal Order]], it would make sense (though is not necessary) that he would hold meetings in his basement.

I think that one of these is intended, since they took the time to draw the staircase, but I'm not sure which one it is (I lean toward #1 and #3). Perhaps we'll have to wait for more data in future toons to decide. {{User:Trey56/sig}} 00:01, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
No multiple manifestations of the main character, Marzipan is not used to represent either of the two major female characters who make the movie. == Brother of Town ==

This is like the first time that anyone's ever treated the King of Town with any respect at all. Homestar invited him up to demonstrate a secret handshake with them. Maybe this is just cuz he's the only one who could actually DO a 'secret handshake' since neither of em have hands. --[[User:Abelhawk|Abelhawk]] 04:21, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
:: My first thought when Homestar said "handshake" was that Marzipan'd turn up, but I guess she wouldn't be in a brotherhood, what with the whole "female" thing and such... and I doubt Homsar would be able to pull off the whole handshake thing... so yeah, that only leaves KoT, out of the main 12. {{User:Phlip/sig}} 10:27, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
:::When Strong Bad and The Cheat practice it, they don't use their hands/arms, even though they ''clearly'' have them. A lack of visible arms is apparently not a factor. [[User:Neox|Neox]]
The other reason the King of Town actually gets treated with respect is because within fraternal organizations like the Masons, everyone is equal, regardless of their profession or position in the outside world. This is also, in my opinion, the reason Homestar can be in charge (and it also makes that fact even funnier; even though he's the dim light bulb of the group, everybody has to respect him within the walls of the Order). == Coach Z's Helmet ==

I have serious doubts on calling Coach Z's helmet a "Gladiator Helmet." The only distinctly gladiator helmet I know of is the Murmillo (fishman) helmet, and that certainly wasn't one. It kinda looks Greek (300 reference maybe?), but I'd guess it's either that or an early middle ages helmet (Saxon is what comes into my head). It's the nose guard. Not prevalent in a lot of roman helmets. I'm not extremely well informed on the subject, but it's just my thoughts, and I think it should probably just be called an iron war helmet or something.
:It's a barbute. Google it for pictures. Closest medieval helmet I could find, but the shape is distinct enough that I can say, beyond any reasonable doubt, that Coach Z's helmet was a barbute -- and therefore I edited this page and the Order's page.
::<s>I disagree. Wikipedia provides pictures way different from Coach Z's helmet. Although, I also have no idea what it could be. Why do you disagree with it so strongly? The Bubb Rubb meme was, as 0rion pointed out, fairly popular, and even though rubs and ointments are a common occurrence in the H*R series, I think it's still likely to be an intentional reference. It's at least likely enough to warrant inclusion with the qualifier that it may possibly be a reference. If you feel so strongly against it, please explain your reasoning.

:It's too easy to poke holes in these arguments though. Couldn't [[The Bar]] just be on X floor and the stairs lead up to X+1 floor? Why assume a basement? And why assume the bathroom is in the same building?&nbsp;-- [[User:Tom|Tom]] 01:10, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

::Yeah, there are too many unknowns to say anything for sure. It does seem like a basement though, as it lacks windows all around the room, and it's common for homes to have small bars or masculine-looking dens in their basements. Nevertheless, like you said, the arguments don't hold water on their own. We'll have to see if TBC ever address it. {{User:Trey56/sig}} 01:19, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
== Coach Z's Helmet ==

No multiple manifestations of the main character, Marzipan is not used to represent either of the two major female characters who make the movie. This is like the first time that anyone's ever treated the King of Town with any respect at all. Homestar invited him up to demonstrate a secret handshake with them.
== Coach Z's Helmet ==

The "catch phrases" (signatures), and "icons" (avatars) can both be set in your preferences, accessible at the top of the page. &mdash; {{User:Lapper/sig}} 00:45, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
How to people get great pictues to upload? Do they pause the flash file? And if so, how do they capture the picure?
:There should be a "Print Screen" button on your keyboard next to insert, scroll lock, home, and the like. Press that button, paste it on a program, and upload it. That button takes a screenshot of your computer screen. {{User:Theyellowdart/sig}}
If you really want to contribute, I recommend you read all the documents found through the Help link at the top left. Observe the more prolific editors and see what they do right and what they don't do right. And as someone wisely said, "Whenever I do something, I think 'Would an idiot do that?' and if they would, I do ''not'' do that thing." :) Look for opportunities to help which are really helpful, and don't be so eager that you do unnecessary things. :[[Wikipedia:GIF|GIF]] is just an image file format, most every image editing program (even MSPaint) can save to GIF, but we tend not to prefer it on the wiki, as [[Wikipedia:PNG|PNG]] is a far-superior format. Unless of course you're talking about ''animated'' GIFs, which are a whole different beast entirely. You can't make an animated GIF from "a screenshot", since the screenshot loses all the animation... you'd have to take ''lots'' of screenshots, one for each frame, and then manipulate them in some program that'll create the GIF for you... which is rarely worth the effort. But since you're curious, [[Wikipedia:The_GIMP|The_GIMP]] is a free image-editing program that's capable of making animated GIFs... just put each frame on its own layer, and save to GIF &ndash; you'll have the option of making it an animation. There's other things available, like optimisation and such, but that's the basics. {{User:Phlip/sig}} 01:43, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
We're glad to have you willing to contribute, but try working your way around the wiki for a while before deciding to create a new page. &mdash; {{User:Lapper/sig}} 16:07, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
::Topazian: To create a page, a simple way to do it is to type the exact page title you want into the search field at the left (including the [[Help:namespace|namespace]], if applicable) and press Enter. Assuming the page does not already exist, the system will inform you of this fact and provide a red link for you to create the page. Click on the link and you will be given an editing window. Enter your content, and then preview and save the page. When choosing a page title, pay attention to things like proper capitalization and spelling. If you're creating an article, be sure you read our [[HRWiki:standards|standards]] and [[HRWiki:inclusion guidelines|inclusion guidelines]] before doing any significant editing, and be sure to search the site to make sure that the topic is not already covered under a different title. :::You may be remembering the rollback feature, which has been available to sysops for a while and leaves a similar message, but the undo function just came out and is available to all users. {{User:Trey56/sig}} 22:47, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

::::Ah, I see. That explains it - thanks. :) {{User:KieferSkunk/sig}} 22:48, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
== UB question ==

can you create your own Userboxes? If so do the pictures you put in them automaticly format so they are small?[[User:Foogs|Foogs]] 14:05, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

:Yes, you can create your own userboxes, provided that they are Homestar Runner-related. Images are not automatically formatted, but you can do it by specifying the the width of the image like so: <code><nowiki>[[Image:FILENAME|41px]]</nowiki></code> (the number of pixels might need to be tweaked depending on the height of the image. Hope that helps, {{User:Trey56/sig}} 14:46, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the help i just made one. is it allowed to put it on the UB page?[[User:Foogs|Foogs]] 14:54, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

:Sure &mdash; if you think other people would be interested in using it, go ahead and add it to [[HRWiki:Userbox]]. {{User:Trey56/sig}} 17:28, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

== Are you allowed to have images on your page? ==

Are you allowed to have images on your userpage here? Because some other wikis don't allow that unless they're personal images. I think it would be a good idea to ask first. {{User:Zapdos/sig}} 01:16, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
:Sure, go right ahead! You can use pretty much any image you want, even another user's personal image. Speaking of personal images, you are only allowed to have two of them. See our [[HRWiki:Personal images|personal image policy]] for more info. {{User:Has Matt?/sig}} 01:23, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

==Transcript==
''{Open on Coach Z and Strong Sad sitting at a table. Coach Z is wearing a barbute, and Strong Sad is wearing his astronaut helmet}''

'''COACH Z:''' Oh, it's like a tricycle, but with nineteen wheels instead of three!

'''STRONG SAD:''' Coach Z, that's a ''horrible'' recipe!

'''COACH Z:''' Lemme run this one by ya. We start with a pound of rubber cement...

''{Cut to another view of the table, with Strong Mad, Bubs and The Poopsmith. Strong Mad is wearing a Nacho football helmet on top of his head, Bubs is wearing a fire helmet, and The Poopsmith is wearing a Judge Dredd helmet}''

'''BUBS:''' I haven't been able to fit into my lucky pants for almost ten years! That's why come I'm in such a bad mood all the time!

'''STRONG MAD:''' I CAN LET OUT THE WAIST ''{Holds up needle and an extremely short length of thread}'' A LITTLE BIT FOR YOU!

'''BUBS:''' Hey, that'd be a sweet deal I couldn't refuse!

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{offscreen}'' Order!

''{Strong Mad, Bubs and The Poopsmith pay attention. Cut to Homestar, who's wearing his horned Viking helmet and banging a chicken drumstick on the table}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Order! I hereby call this meeting of the Broternal Order of Different Helmets to order! Now let us begin with a rousing rendition of our frothy, shanty chant. ''{Waving drumstick like a conductor's baton}'' And one, two, three!

''{Cut to another view of the table. Bubs, Strong Bad and Coach Z are visible. Strong Bad is wearing a miner's helmet}''

'''ALL:''' ''{singing}'' Ever and more, ever and more, ever and more!

''{Cut to another view. Strong Sad and Pom Pom are visible. Pom Pom is wearing a Samurai helmet. Strong Sad isn't singing and has his arms folded}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Singing&mdash;

'''ALL:''' ''{singing}'' Ever and more, ever and more, ever and more!

''{Cut back to Homestar}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' One more time!

''{Cut to a shot of The Poopsmith, The King of Town and Strong Sad, slowly zooming out. The King of Town is wearing an Imperial German Army helmet}''

'''ALL:''' ''{singing, getting higher at the end}'' Ever and more...

''{Cut to Bubs, Strong Bad and Coach Z, slowly panning left}''

'''ALL:''' ...ever and more...

''{Cut to The Cheat next to Strong Mad. The Cheat is wearing an old-fashioned British policeman's hat.}''

'''ALL:''' ...ever and more!

''{Cut back to Homestar}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Strong Sad! Why weren't you singing?

''{Cut to Strong Sad}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' I don't believe in the message!

''{Cut to a view of Pom Pom, Homestar and The Cheat}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Uh, yes you do. All in favor?

''{Cut to Bubs, Strong Bad and Coach Z}''

'''ALL EXCEPT STRONG SAD:''' Aye!

''{Cut back to Pom Pom, Homestar and The Cheat}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' All opposed?

''{Cut to Strong Sad}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' Nay!

''{Cut back to Pom Pom, Homestar and The Cheat}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' The ayes win! ''{He ducks under the table and reappears next to Strong Sad}'' You believe in the message now!

'''STRONG SAD:''' ''{Slapping Homestar on the back and smiling}'' I really do!

''{Homestar ducks under the table and reappears in his original position}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' I now give the floor to our treasurer, regarding shiny new ways to misappropriate funds.

''{Cut to Bubs}''

'''BUBS:''' Thank you, Brotherstar Runnerbro... ther. Well, I've taken the minutes ''{holds them up, music starts playing}'' from last's month's meeting and sold them as rollover minutes ''{holds up another piece of paper with a picture of [[Homsar]] on it}'' to third world countries! ''{places both pieces of paper down}'' Then I bought myself, I mean the Broternal Order of Different Helmets, a jetski! ''{holds up a jetski, slightly knocking the light, and puts it down}'' But then I wrecked it and broke my shin! ''{holds up crumpled leg}'' So now my rubbing ointment ''{holds it up}'' costs fifty bucks a tube!

''{Record scratch sound effect. Music stops. Cut back to Homestar}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Fantastic! And now, to help me demonstrate the new secret handshake, I call forth, Brother of Town.

''{The King of Town comes onscreen}''

'''THE KING OF TOWN:''' Boooo-ooo!<!--This is the same sound clip that is in "geddup noise."--><br />
'''STRONG SAD:''' ''{Offscreen, simultaneously}'' Yaaaaay!

''{Homestar and the King of Town move around for a second}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Everybody got it? This: ''{The word "This" appears onscreen, then Homestar moves around as three arrows appear onscreen}'' Then this: ''{The words "Then this" appears onscreen, then Homestar moves around some more and more complex arrows, including one that branches into three, appear on the screen}'' And now Brother Strong Bad, with his weekly power play.

''{Cut to Strong Bad}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{Clears throat, then speaks angrily}'' What's the matter with you guys? I should be in charge here! Why is Homestar running this secret club? ''{banging his fist on the table}'' Singing songs and secret handshakes? That's rejected Girl Scout camp material! Put me in charge, and we'll be hitting each other with wooden stools until the morning light! Eating triple-fried pork rinds and burping video game music six ways till Tuesday! "Ever and More"? That's horse puckey, you fools! It's all marketing mumbo jumbo! ''{upset}'' Don't believe a word of it!!

''{Strong Bad pants and shakes. Homestar leans onscreen.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Thank you, Strong Bad. We look forward to hearing from you next week.

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{subdued}'' Thank you, Supreme Overlord.

''{Homestar leans offscreen. Cut to Homestar}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' And with that, our meeting is adjourned. So everybody buddy up and get to work on that secret handshake. I'm gonna go take a bath in a pile of gold coins.

''{Homestar walks offscreen. Cut to Strong Bad and The Cheat imitating the movements Homestar and the King of Town made earlier, with their hands on their hips. Cut to the words "end, friend." on a black screen}''

==Easter Eggs==
*Click on "friend." at the end of the short to see Homestar Runner laying in a bathtub full of gold coins in the bathroom of the Brothers Strong.
:'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{singing to the tune of the ''[[Wikipedia:DuckTales|DuckTales]]'' theme song}'' Lasers, race cars, aeroplanes, doot doo, ah-doot doo!

==Fun Facts==

===Explanations===
*"Broternal" is a [[portmanteau]] of "brotherhood" and "fraternal", two adjectives that are often found in names of male-only secret societies.
*Rollover minutes, offered by [[Wikipedia:AT&T Mobility|AT&T Mobility]] (formerly Cingular Wireless), are unused wireless phone minutes from one month that can be carried over and used in the next.
*[[Wikipedia:Minutes|Meeting minutes]] are a summary of what was discussed at a meeting.
*The page title conforms to the practice of referring to a [[Wikipedia:Local union|local union]] as a "local" followed by that local union's number. These organizations are also commonly named "brotherhoods" or "fraternal orders".

===Trivia===
*This toon's [[Irregular Loading Screens|loading screen]] reads, "loading, friend."

===Goofs===
[[Image:StrongMadMouth everandmore.png|thumb|I HAVE A FUNNY MOUTH!]]
*When Strong Mad holds up the needle, his "O" mouth animation causes an extra line to overlap the needle.
*There are numerous inconsistencies regarding the placement of the characters around the table. For instance, in the first shot Coach Z is on Strong Sad's right, but in a later shot (during the song) The King of Town appears on Strong Sad's right. Also, the Poopsmith is on Bubs's left when he is talking about his lucky pants, but when they are singing "Ever and More!" Strong Bad is on Bubs' left.

===Inside References===
* Strong Sad's astronaut costume was previously seen in [[senior prom]], though he's only wearing the helmet part here.
* The order's song was previously sung by Homestar in [[the movies]]. Homestar also wore the [[horned helmet]] in that email.
* Strong Bad's miner helmet was seen in the emails [[cheatday]] and [[different town]].
* The King of Town's German army helmet is similar to the one [[The Kaiser]], his [[Old-Timey]] counterpart, wears.
* The Broternal Order's secret handshake is another reference to characters' [[lack of visible arms]].
* This is an occurrence of [[Strong Sad smiling]].
* The pennant on the wall reads "[[LEMKE]]!".
* Bubs's jetski is labeled "WETSKi", another instance of [[lowercase i's]].
* Bubs mentions his lucky [[pants]].
* Pom Pom's [[Wikipedia: samurai|samurai]] helmet is a reference to Pom Pom's [[Pom Pom#Fighting Skills|martial arts skills]].
* The webpage title mentions [[style]].
* Coach Z is drinking a [[Coldson Lite]].
* Bubs mentions the words [[Why Come]].

===Real-World References===
[[Image:Cold Ones Light Old Style.png|thumb|Old Style Cold Ones]]
*The Poopsmith is wearing [[Wikipedia:Judge Dredd|Judge Dredd]]'s helmet.
*The [[Cold Ones]] Light poster closely resembles the [[Wikipedia:Pabst Brewing Company#Old Style|Old Style]] beer logo.
*The lyrics Homestar sings in the bathtub of gold coins are a rearranged segment of the theme song to [[Wikipedia:Disney|Disney]]'s ''[[Wikipedia:DuckTales|DuckTales]],'' with the lines "racecars, lasers, aeroplanes" changed to "lasers, racecars, aeroplanes, and "It's a duck blur" replaced with "Doot do, ah doot-do." Homestar's behavior mirrors [[Wikipedia: Scrooge McDuck|Scrooge McDuck]]'s, who enjoyed diving through his coin-filled [[Wikipedia:Money Bin|Money Bin]].
*The name of Bubs' ointment, Bubrub, is a reference to Bubb Rubb, an [[Wikipedia:Internet celebrity|internet celebrity]] who became famous for his comments during a local news report about whistle-tip muffler attachments.
Comparisons can be drawn between Senor Cardgage and real life furniture salesman Mark Norton known for his odd ball late night television advertisements. Usually seen between the hours of 1 and 3 A.M. on the Cleveland FOX affiliate which broadcasts into the Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, And South Eastern Ontario regions.

And you seem to have taken it down...
I apologize if what I added was in any way problematic, I realize I had used some incorrect punctuation and as such was about to fix that when then I noticed the original edit had been taken down. I mostly wanted to highlight the Indiana connection with the Chaps and the possibility that the commercials might have been an influence on the character since they did reside in Indiana for a time. They (the commercials) are now available on You Tube and this has already been the topic of some speculation.
Hope I haven’t inconvenienced you in any way.
Cheers.
Steve.
Tis true but you might want to check the comercial out before you say that... I Remeber when I first saw one in 2004 it was pretty much the first thing that jumped to mind. Beware what lies within is not for the faint of heart...
I'd like to ask you to consider taking a softer tone in your edit summaries. [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=Halloween_Potion-ma-jig&diff=prev&oldid=443317 This], for example, is really biting an annonies (you may want to see [[Wikipedia:WP:BITE|this 'Kipedia page]]. Even the latter part of [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=from_work&diff=prev&oldid=443467 this] could be handled better with something like "I don't think we need a link to 'corporation'". Remember, someone went to the trouble of writing that link; saying "What the crap?" doesn't really help, even if it is indeed unnecessary. What you're trying to get across can almost always be expressed with a softer tone and is actually typically more effective in driving it home. {{User:Heimstern Läufer/sig}} 02:07, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

'''The Battle of Strong Badia''' was a conflict between the [[Homestarmy]] and [[Strong Badia]], depicted in the [[Strong Bad Email]] "[[army]]".

==Why it Happened==
[[Image:goodminton.png|thumb|Prelude to invasion]]
[[Homestar Runner|Colonel Homestar Runner]] was driven to embark upon a campaign to invade and capture Strong Badia because he was tired of Strong Bad stealing the show (or as Homestar himself put it, because he was "sick and tired of playing second fiddle to a two-bit [[Wrestleman]] and his [[The Cheat|yellow dog]]"). To aid his cause, he recruited [[Homsar]], [[Strong Sad]], the [[Painting of a Guy with a Big Knife]] and Third-Style Private [[Frank Bennedetto]], and proceeded to march upon the stronghold of the Brothers Strong.

==Summary of Events==
[[Image:sbemail93.PNG|thumb|The lone casualty of the Battle of Strong Badia.]]
It is a bitter irony that Homestar's urge to win was what defeated him. Attempting to bolster his forces, Colonel Homestar tried to recruit [[Strong Bad]], giving him warning of the impending invasion. Were it not for this error, Strong Bad may never have found out about the planned attack until it was too late, and Strong Badia might have fallen. As it happened, Homestar's mistake enabled Strong Bad to send his commando [[Firebert]] to spy upon the Homestarmy's planning meeting, enabling him and [[Strong Mad]] to be prepared for the invasion.

The battle lasted about ten seconds before it was canceled by Colonel Homestar so that Strong Bad and Strong Mad could play [[Badminton|badminton]]. Homsar, unfortunately, deserted approximately three seconds into it, or simply didn't notice that they had reached their destination as his "helmet" was covering his eyes. The Homestarmy was forced to retreat (Colonel Homestar commented they were "in over [their] heads"); after Strong Sad exhorted the troops to "hold the line," Private Bennedetto was nearly slain by a kick from Strong Bad's foot when he remained in enemy territory. The Brothers Strong emerged victorious and went on to wonder how to play badminton.

Since this defeat, the Homestarmy has only been seen in action once since then, making sure that no one did any work on [[Labor Dabor|Labor Day]]. The limited accounts of this campaign indicate they had some success in this endeavor.
Hey, Defender1031. I saw you've been making tons of good edits, like creating [[Showering]] and [[Sugar]]. So, I wanted to award you (drumroll...) '''THE IRON CUP OF BRUNSWICK STEW'''.
<blockquote>This award, the first on HRWiki, is given to recognize good contributions and to let people know that their hard work is seen and appreciated. It was given to [[The Cheat]] by [[Strong Bad]] for his good work on [[New Boots]].</blockquote>
== Edit summaries ==

I'd like to ask you to consider taking a softer tone in your edit summaries.
{{aboutcharacter}} {{forgame|Stinkoman 20X6}}

[[Image:stinkoman20X6normal.PNG|left|Looking for challenge]]
'''Stinkoman''' (also spelled '''Stinko Man''') is [[Strong Bad]]'s [[20X6]] counterpart. He is an amalgam of [[Wikipedia:Anime|anime]] clichés, including blue hair, big eyes, a blocky sort of body, a mouth that doesn't move along with his speech, and an obsession with [[challenge]]s and fighting. He was introduced on January 6, 2003 in the [[Strong Bad Email]] [[japanese cartoon]], which makes his birthday fall exactly one week before [[dragon|Trogdor]]'s. Even before the introduction of the Stinkoman character, his name was mentioned in [[island]] when [[Homestar Runner]] calls Strong Bad "Stinkoman." Stinkoman also stars in the game [[Stinkoman 20X6]], which [[The Brothers Chaps]] introduced in the [[NYU_Talk_-_1_Mar_2005|NYU Talk]] and later released on [[homestarrunner.com]].

Stinkoman employs technology to arrange, engage in, and practice for his challenges. He has a [[Cell Phone|cell phone]] which he uses to challenge [[Marzipan]] in [[Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 8.0]], and when the distance to his foes is too far, he whistles for the [[Stinkoman 20X6 Playable Characters#Stinkowing|Stinkowing]] for transportation. According to [[alternate universe]], Stinkoman uses his friend [[Vector Strong Bad]] as his "training simulator," but when he's not preparing for upcoming challenges, he relaxes by playing the [[Nintendo|Nintendo Entertainment System]] at [[Stinkoman Headquarters]]. Stinkoman's favorite foods appear to be chicken soup, [[Bread|bread]], power crunches, pudding, and [[Prawns|prawns]], as seen in Stinkoman 20X6.

[[Image:Mega Man & Stinkoman.PNG|thumb|220px|Stinkoman vs. Mega Man]]
Various facets of Stinkoman's persona refer specifically to characters in real-world popular culture. In particular, Stinkoman is very similar in build to the NES incarnation of [[Wikipedia:Mega Man (character)|Mega Man]], who also had blue hair at one point. In fact, Stinkoman's sprite in ''Stinkoman 20X6'' is a modified version of the original Mega Man sprite.

Stinkoman's lines, "Are you asking for a challenge?!" and "No way, you're just a kid! Maybe when you're older" are very similar in both content and intonation to messages spoken by the ''[[Wikipedia:Mega Man 8|Mega Man 8]]'' boss Tengu Man: "Are you worthy of my challenge?" and "It's just a kid, don't make me laugh!" The line "No way, you're just a kid! Maybe when you're older!" is also used several times (depending on translation) in the anime movie ''[[Wikipedia:Akira (film)|Akira]].'' The 20X6 and ''Akira'' connection appears again in an Easter egg in [[3 Times Halloween Funjob]].
[[Image:StinkomanPlussign.png|thumb|right|150px|"plus sign - endowed grill"]]

When Stinkoman grits his teeth, [[Wikipedia:Plus and minus signs|plus signs (+)]] make up the cracks between them. The character [[Wikipedia:Donkey Kong|Donkey Kong]] in the original [[Wikipedia:Donkey Kong (video game)|''Donkey Kong'' arcade game]] was also depicted with plus signs to indicate the separate teeth in his mouth. Finally, Stinkoman has worn the [[Halloween Costumes|costume]] of another Japanese cartoon character, [[Wikipedia:Speed Racer|Speed Racer]], as seen in [[3 Times Halloween Funjob]].
== Hey Dude. ==

Hi there.
I tired to add this to the Senor Cardgage page.

Cheers.
Steve.
:I removed it because I felt that such a comparison was [[TTATOT]]. [[User:DeFender1031|DeFender1031]] 05:54, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Tis true but you might want to check the comercial out before you say that... I Remeber when I first saw one in 2004 it was pretty much the first thing that jumped to mind. Beware what lies within is not for the faint of heart...
::You [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=HRWiki:Sandbox&diff=prev&oldid=449501 did it again]. Please don't use "rv vandalism" in an edit summary for fun. You can be sure that it will cause at least one sysop to check the reverted edit to see if a warning or a block is in order. It's kinda like crying wolf.{{User:Loafing/sig}} 01:01, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
:::I apologize. I didn't think of that consequence when i did it. You can be assured it won't happen again. (PS. I think that quick sand pic should be a permanent part of the sandbox.) Sorry for entrangling you, [[User:DeFender1031|DeFender1031]] 01:04, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
*Well, I am just going to put this out bluntly for you: it is fine for this ([http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=Sbemail_169_Deleted_Scene&diff=prev&oldid=452366]) to be here. It is not revealing any spoiler. It is just simply an explanation of "WTF", so quit starting revert wars, aight? I know the undo button looks fun, but, sewiously, the explanation is fine. Best, --{{User:Theyellowdart/sig}} 02:02, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
== Removing facts ==

Hey there DeFender, I was wondering which facts' removal you were referring to {{p|l=http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=Eggs_%28toon%29&diff=next&oldid=452799 here}} &mdash; you sounded a little upset in the edit summary. Thanks, {{User:Trey56/sig}} 00:37, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

:well, actually... (blushes)... I read the history wrong, and those facts that were moved... I uh, kinda thought they had gotten deleted... and umm... went back to a previous revision and reverted from there, so i didn't actually touch the facts... and umm... sports team?
::Okay, no prob &mdash; just checking. I guess that's a good reason to keep [[#Edit summaries|edit summaries]] civil :) Thanks, {{User:Trey56/sig}} 00:44, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
::::Oh, I can't say I've been following them that closely; I just noticed that section on your talk page and thought it seemed timely to link to it just as a friendly reminder. But looking through [[Special:Contributions/DeFender1031|your last X0 contributions]], they look fine. Nevertheless, let me take this opportunity to mention that I appreciate your efforts at reverting poor edits; you do a great job of helping keep the wiki tidy! {{User:Trey56/sig}} 00:51, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
== Periods inside of quotation marks ==

Hi Dan,
Thanks for your suggestion, but periods (and commas) always go inside of quotation marks.
