If you're looking for a response as to the new STUFF's simplicity, I would say it is pretty easy if you follow the directions. I do have a suggestion, though. For the how to revise page you have the entire template out for cutting and pasting, but the initial template setup has the optional things on parts of it. It might make it easier to take the optional notes and the false user votes off of that template so it's easy to cut and paste the entire thing. That's what I think anyway. I went ahead an implemented everything, including Protecting all the templates and DELETING!! all the test pages I could think of. If there are others I missed, feel free to TBD them. Yeah. I know, the Cardinals lost. I went to game four of the World Series, I was sad *sniffle*. I remember there were lots of Red Sox fans around us. And the red sox fan said back, " What year is it 86 years from now?"

The reason we keep such a close eye on people who aren't members is that it just happens that most of the edits that are redundant, obvious, or otherwise non-beneficial come from anonymous users. The vast majority of trolls are anonymous as well. So, to make a long story short, '''do not ''automatically'' revert anonymous edits.''' (Note: if we wanted, we could prevent anonymous editing with a simple setting; obviously, we have not chosen to do this.)

:If a logged in user makes a bad edit, it can be reverted just like an anonymous edit. '''Logged-in users get a little special treatment, however.''' First of all, it's polite to list a reason in the edit summary instead of simply rolling back the page. In any case, what caught my attention was an anonymous user dumped, say, 50% more info on the Free Country article. I've noticed over the weeks that 90% of anonymous edits tend to be speculation, stating the obvious, or just plain wrong. Let's say the other 9% are helpful typo, spelling and grammar corrections. It's that 1% that leads to doubt. This guy/gal radically expanded a decent article, but I couldn't tel whether the expansion was worthy or not. I know I was previously advised to err on the side of expanded content, but I've seen even registered users get slammed for adding little bits of info to articles. This guy/gal added a lot, and when I first saw it, I balked. It seemed like speculation, so I reverted.

Then '''Mr. Bojangles''' re-reverted. I looked at it a second time - this time I saw disconnected thoughts that added only confusion - so I reverted ''again''.

Then '''you''' reverted my change, and I looked at it a third time. This time, I saw neither speculation nor confused thinking - only prose that needed refining.

I admit I've been in a bad mood recently, and have been, er, draconian in my enforcement of what I perceive is appropriate for the Wiki. I admit I was wrong reverting this article across the board.

If someone has something important to add, they usually take the step of registering first. Most of my edits were relatively minor until I registered. In fact, it was when I was trying to add something more substantial that I was encouraged to join.

I carefully consider any advice I give, and it is always my hope that each user's experience here is improved by my input. :Hey Rogue. That troll is not a person; rather, it is some kind of bot that searches for the different sections on the page and adds links under each one. My reasoning was that if I removed all the sections, it would have nothing to do, and would quit. In the meantime, I put up a notice so that any regular user who was looking at the page would be aware of what was going on. A running gag is an ongoing joke whose humour is primarily derived from its repetition. The Cheats Head exploding is the best example of this. The best example of an inside joke is [[Lemke]] because quite frankly even with TBC explanation it really is only funny to TBC. I really take issue with something like [[The S is for Sucks]] being an "inside joke" because it really raises the question of "Who is inside/outside?" If the delineation lies between hardcore HSR fans and casual fans, that is not good enough for me. Everything on the site is an inside joke to someone who hasn’t watched it yet. I'm still not sure how to categorize articles like [[Batman]] which do a great service in tracking multiple references, but strictly are not a running gag or an inside joke.
