I think both names are fine and either one applies. You can't have the comic without the tool, and the tool is pointless without the web comic result. I see them as two sides of the same coin. That's what it sounds like to me, at least — one of the little page titles TBC put on their toons/games that doesn't quite correspond to the toon/game name. I think Qermaq's idea of having an example comic that's taken from elements of the wiki is a good idea, but I wondered to myself if there was a way it could be done from the article space rather than the talk space. On or around October 15, this page underwent some additions. A few extra enemies (ones from Level 9) were added, along with the Stinkowing. As well, it looks like stars were added to the Level 5 background (making it more like the scrolling shooter games menu screen). Also added were the ability to MS Paint your way to a non-punchline (a new button, which adds poor MS Paint to the panel. Five different scribbles in all, including one of [[Trogdor]]). Another addition was the "Name" button, which lets you alter the byline from "Stonk Bad" to anything you want to type in. Upon viewing the comic, two other changes can be noticed: an addition of "Totally Not" in front of the copyright date, and the byline is altered and randomised, with phrases like "ripped off", "poorly concieved", and "baby got stole". Finally, a title screen was added, cementing the name as (at least) '''Make-o Your Own Stinko'''(man) Sprite Comic Generator. '''Senor Cardgage''' first appeared in the [[Strong Bad Email]] [[kind of cool]]. He is apparently the creepy guy that lived down the street from [[The Brothers Strong]] when they were little, whose extreme sketchiness gave [[Strong Sad]] nightmares. He resembles [[Strong Bad]] somewhat, both sharing a red with black markings [[Wikipedia:Lucha libre|lucha libre]] mask for a head, green eyes, pinkish torso, boxing gloves for hands and black pants. However, he's much taller than Strong Bad. He has a round head, wears glasses, a [[mustache|beard]], and has a comb-over lock of brownish hair on the top of his head. His comb-over was revealed to be a toupée in the youtube video [[Coach Z pukes in dude's toupee]]. Senor Cardgage also has a flabby belly and much longer arms. His feet are simply black, suggesting they are covered by his [[pants]].

Senor Cardgage is often seen working different jobs, such as [[Senor Cardgage Mortgage|his own mortgage business]], a [[Senorial Day|used car dealership]], a [[licensed|day care]], a replacement [[Bubs]], and as an [[the movies|usher]]. He has also tried to market a lawn mower as an "[[concert#Easter Eggs|Intregway]]" and his own brand of shoes, [[Air Cardgage]]. His name is pronounced "[[Senor|Seh-nor]]", not "Seh-nyor", because his name is spelled with an "N" rather than an "[[Wikipedia:Ñ|Ñ]]". He is apparently [[Left Handedness#Ambidextrous Characters|ambidextrous]].

Some of his traits include:
* Suspiciously coming out of [[Weird Shrub|bushes and shrubs]] just as you walk by.
* Pronouncing words incorrectly (for example, he pronounces the word "loans", "lawns").
* Always carrying an old plastic [[Aldi Bag|Aldi grocery bag]] of mysterious contents.
* Loudly eating melty [[Zagnut Bars|chocolate bars]] while standing too close to you in lines.
* Smelling like [[Peas|pea soup]] (according to [[Homestar Runner]]).
* Speaking in phrases that are described by Strong Bad as "[[portmanteaus|almost one word and not quite another]]," such as "excardon me" and "exobably not".
* "Calling at you as if you were a lady," [[Gender Confusion|regardless of your gender]].

Strong Bad seems to look up to Senor Cardgage as sort of an idol or a father figure. He is constantly heard remarking on how cool he believes Senor Cardgage is and how he wishes to be that cool. In [[Senorial Day]], Strong Bad asks Senor to autograph his football and throw it to him. In [[alternate universe]], he says that his life is complete after going on a fishing trip with Senor Cardgage, and expresses joy at the thought of Senor adopting him. When he sees Senor as an usher in [[the movies]], he tells [[The Cheat]] that "someday [he's] going to be the one tearing tickets and telling folks that forty-twone will be on their lest." Senor also played [[Dadgeresque]] in [[Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective]].

However, none of the other characters seem to like him. In particular, Strong Sad still harbors fear against Senor Cardgage as evidenced in [[garage sale]]. Strong Mad also ran away in terror when Senor Cardgage asked him to retrieve his spectacles. And of course, Homestar seems annoyed with Senor Cardgage for standing too close to him in line while eating melty candy bars, and is put off by his odd catchphrases (as well as thinking he smells like pea soup).

Even though he has a car dealership and his own mortgage company, his residence is unknown. It is suggested in [[Senorial Day]] and [[candy product]] that he is homeless, as he is shown in an [[alleyway]] sleeping in a sleeping bag and using his [[Wikipedia:Aldi|Aldi]] bag as a pillow, although in the email [[kind of cool]] Strong Bad implied that he lives behind a bush. Strong Sad said that Senor Cardgage lived down the street when they were little, implying he had a house at one point; however, there is no proof of this or of his current residence, if any. Although it is implied that he is poor, he offers to buy Strong Sad a can of peas at [[Strong Bad]]'s [[garage sale]] for $99, and then proceeds to walk away with it, supposedly paying, even though he is never seen to do so. A possible solution to this conflict has been shown in an Easter egg from the email [[love poems]], where it is revealed that Senor Cardgage has written a book called ''The Homeless Romantic'': "verses from the weird shrub and alarming recipes for brunswick stew".

When Strong Bad is asked what he would be like if he was not stylish and buff in the email [[kind of cool]], he describes Senor Cardgage who is, at least to Strong Bad, "so cool, you don't even know [that he is] cool". Strong Bad tries to represent what he would be like if he was an ugly, dumpy guy with a bad comb-over, and it turns out his fictional character actually existed and lived down the street from the Brothers Strong during their youth.

As shown in a commercial in [[theme song]], Senor Cardgage got fourteen degrees in the [[Crazy Go Nuts University|CGNU Online E-niversity]] during his lunch "take", including one that lets him "legally prescribe marriages in the state of Kansattica". He also runs a day care called [[Papa Cardgage's Puddin' Patch]].

Senor Cardgage lost a Non-Sequitur Championship to the equally bizarre character [[Homsar]]. As the loser of the contest, he had to complete a coherent sentence on [[The Show]] (as documented in the short [[Non-Sequitur Champion]]). He failed twice, but his third attempt ("Grape Soda Banked") was judged successful by "<s>celebrity</s> judge" Strong Sad.

As of [[independent]], Senor Cardgage has the most appearances of any non-main character outside of the [[Teen Girl Squad]].

:I agree with Rogue Leader. To me, showing morals isn't not swearing at all. It's knowing when and where it's appropriate. An interview is more or less casual conversation, in which case it's okay. On the site, though, it wouldn't be appropriate. I think the Brothers Chaps are showing MORE morals than most current Flash cartoonists by not resorting to bad language or gratutious violence to make their cartoons funny. --[[User:DorianGray|DorianGray]]

It seems our favourite mad voice actor's had experience with editing Jedi Knight, and it's apparently carried over into more recent endevours...
I found this mod for Jedi Knight called Mechanics of the Force part 1 on Massassi.net (and another website that escapes me now, but had the level two years earlier, in '98), and you can find it here: http://www.massassi.net/levels/files/22.shtml. Incidentally, if you do have Jedi Knight, download that baby, it's great.
Now, I imagine you're thinking "Surely this can't be the same guy?" upon seeing the author's name, much like I did. But, if you do DL and play the level, you'll notice that not only does the author apparently provide his own voice acting, but does a damn fine job of it, too. Not a smoking gun, but there's more, in our favourite online cartoons:

He went crazy after he was unable to solve a difficult kidnapping. He gave Dangeresque one half of a trinket from the [[King of Town's Castle|Malvies Catacombs]], with which Dangeresque combined with the other half (left in the Catacombs) to kill [[The Monster]] there, rescuing the [[Kidnapping Victim]].

[[Uzi Bazooka]] later shoots Dadgeresque in an attempt to get the rainforest formula from Dangeresque, killing Dadgeresque in the process. Dangeresque then cries and has a dramatic scene in which he threatens to shoot Bazooka to avenge him. (and Dadgeresque gets up and walks away).

Anyone else out there think TBC may not exactly be movie history buffs? I mean, I'm definitely not, but I know this:
*The first successful talking picture, "The Jazz Singer", was released in 1927.
*"Steamboat Willie", the first suncessful cartoon with synchronized sound, was released in 1928.
*By 1933, the time when the silent Homestar cartoons were supposedly released, talking pictures were common, and by 1936, the time that the first talking H*R cartoon supposedly came out, silent films were on their swift way out, if they weren't already nonexistent.
*Using their current formula, any old-timey H*R cartoon released next year will be dated 1938... but in actuality, the next year, 1939, saw such movies as "Gone With the Wind" and "The Wizard of Oz", which would definitely be considered modern films, as compared to the more revolutionary, experimental days of the 1920s.

I think the article should mention that the whole "Old-Timey" universe, despite referring to actual dates, incorporates tons of anachronisms from different "old" time periods; I think it basically just stands for "old," whether that means 19th-century (Strong Bad's use of a ''telegraph''?!), 1910s-20s (flappers, prohibition, WW1 allusions), or 1930s (Great Depression). Homsar appears to be the only main character without a 30s version. But I noticed that "The Bossman" in Mr. Shmallow has the same bowler hat as him. He also looks kinda like a big, fat version of our favourite song from the sixties. Could he be Homsar's Old-timey equivelant, or is it too much of a stretch?

== Cartoons? Films? ==

All of the Old-Timey flicks claim they are cartoons, which would mean that they are animated. However, they also feature editing mistakes (as pointed out) characteristic of films, most notably the slight movement of objects between reel changes. For example in Parsnips-A-Plenty, there is a flash when the camera shows the characters at the very beginning (indicating the reel change and splicing) and the characters are in slightly different positions after the flash than before. This would occur when actors take a break during reel change, and cannot move back into the exact same positions as before. However, cartoons would not be susceptible to this kind of glitch because the figures can be fixed on the cel, plus drawn figures would not need to take a break so they could be left in the exact position for however long it takes to change the reel. Even if they did move about (say the draught blows it), they wouldn't be different sizes because they'd only move on the surface of the paper but not closer to or further away from the camera. In many instances, however, characters do change size slightly (though it might just be me...) indicating that their distance from the camera changes, which would certainly have the implication that they are actual actors being filmed.

Sorry, this is kind of verbose, but I hope I'm getting my point across...

There seem to be many anachronisms among the various Old Timey cartoons. THe most glaring of which is in the Mr. Shmallow cartoon showing a man and a woman with jetpacks and clear space helmets in front of a background consisting of four-pointed stars. Also, the character of Rumble Red. Setting aside the fact that the [[Wikipedia:Red scare|Red Scare]] was not as prevalent in the '30s as it was after WWII, those images of jetpacks and aliens in the style of Rumble Red are more along the lines of popular science-fiction settings of the late '50s-early '60s. I think the article should mention that the whole "Old-Timey" universe, despite referring to actual dates, incorporates tons of anachronisms from different "old" time periods; I think it basically just stands for "old," whether that means 19th-century (Strong Bad's use of a ''telegraph''?!), 1910s-20s (flappers, prohibition, WW1 allusions), or 1930s (Great Depression). Homsar appears to be the only main character without a 30s version. But I noticed that "The Bossman" in Mr. Shmallow has the same bowler hat as him. He also looks kinda like a big, fat version of our favourite song from the sixties. Could he be Homsar's Old-timey equivelant, or is it too much of a stretch?

== Cartoons? Films? ==

All of the Old-Timey flicks claim they are cartoons, which would mean that they are animated. However, they also feature editing mistakes (as pointed out) characteristic of films, most notably the slight movement of objects between reel changes. For example in Parsnips-A-Plenty, there is a flash when the camera shows the characters at the very beginning (indicating the reel change and splicing) and the characters are in slightly different positions after the flash than before. This would occur when actors take a break during reel change, and cannot move back into the exact same positions as before. However, cartoons would not be susceptible to this kind of glitch because the figures can be fixed on the cel, plus drawn figures would not need to take a break so they could be left in the exact position for however long it takes to change the reel. Even if they did move about (say the draught blows it), they wouldn't be different sizes because they'd only move on the surface of the paper but not closer to or further away from the camera. In many instances, however, characters do change size slightly (though it might just be me...) indicating that their distance from the camera changes, which would certainly have the implication that they are actual actors being filmed.
