My younger sister (Carolyn) discovered he Homestar Runner website in 2003, and she was the first one in my family to find it. Then, I liked that site so much that I wanted to go on it, too. I even know all the main characters: Homestar Runner, Strong Bad, The Cheat, Marzipan, Strong Sad, The King of Town, Strong Mad, The Poopsmith, Pom Pom, Coach Z, Bubs, and the surreal Homsar. I know many other characters, too.

Speaking of Senor Cardgage, I had no idea who he was when the e-mail "kind of cool" debuted. Then, when I saw the later short "Senor Mortgage", I realized that he was the guy Strong Bad described in "kind of cool". Strong Sad clearly says, "Uh, excardon me, but none of that stuff is cool, Strong Bad. You basically described that creep Señor Cardgage that lived down the street from us when we were little." I didn't quite get that, though. I finally did get it after watching the short. No one really listens to Strong Sad anyway, and previously, Strong Bad referred to that character as "Creepy Comb-Over Story Strong Bad".

Anyway, my favorite character is Strong Bad. Senor Cardgage is cool, too (creepy, but cool). My favorite email is "death metal".

Isn't the guy in the easter egg Creepy Comb-over Strong Bad? Since the "with a guy like that" after the "hanging out" you have to click refers to creepy C-O SB, not Senor Cardgage. <--SUCKY GRAMMAR!! Kvb 10:36, 6 May 2005 (UTC)

:Reviving old topic because Trogga changed it: Creepy Comb-Over Strong Bad is a form of Strong Bad. Senor Cardgage is a separate character. The character in the Easter egg, therefore, is Senor Cardgage, since he's standing next to Strong Bad (I think it can be argued that it's Senor Cardgage in the entire email, but he's AT LEAST in the Easter egg.) -- 01:03, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I just don't want to confuse newbies. --TROGGA! 17:58, 8 Jul 2005 (UTC)

The Creepy Comb-Over Strong Bad page now redirects to Senor Cardgage. That probably happened on July 15, 2005. Some changes have been made to this page, too. Previously, the cast list said: Strong Bad, Creepy Comb-Over Strong Bad, Homestar Runner, Pom Pom, Bubs, Strong Mad, Strong Sad, Senor Cardgage (Easter egg). Creepy Comb-Over Strong Bad was changed to Senor Cardgage, and "Senor Cardgage (Easter egg)" got removed. The transcript still uses CREEPY COMB-OVER STRONG BAD, but the Easter egg transcript uses SENOR CARDGAGE. Should I change them BOTH to SENOR CARDGAGE since it was probably decided that they are one and the same person? Gm1121983 8:23 pm 4 Jan 2006

:This has always been a shady issue, but I reverted that change based on this reason: that the transcript may be written in such a way that character is described as presented in the email only. Sure, we know it's Senor Cardgage now, but back then, that email was showing us as Creepy-Combover SB. —BazookaJoe

I'll have to open this old topic again... I agree with KvB and Jay that Creepy Comb-over Strong Bad and Senor Cardgage are separate characters. But I also have to disagree with Jay about who is in the easter egg. Here, KvB is right: the clickable text in the email refers to Comb-over SB, not Senor Cardgage. Strong Bad is meeting himself, something that's not too uncommon in the Homestar universe. Senor Cardgage does not appear in this email, he's only talked about. 09:08, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
:Yeah, I thought Senor and CCOSB were separate characters before. —Ced 01:52, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
:So who appears in the Easter egg at the end of flashback? Creepy Comb-Over SB or S. Cardgage? Well, yes, he does say "beer" for the first time in an email, but he's not even referring to beer, so the bit about the Cold Ones is almost a stretch. To be fair, they're talking about potbellies, which TBC could have just as easily decided to say. I think they've been pretty good so far about not putting in alcohol or drug references. Either make a mention of the non-reference to beer or take it out altogether...
I'm with the 'coincidence' theory. (For those who really care and know solfeggio: the musical pitches for "the Cheat is not dead" are Do-Do-Re-Mi-So. I think "neuroticism" in this sentence means "a mental or personality disturbance not attributable to any neurological or organic dysfunction." Strong Sad is obviously disturbed when Strong Bad describes his tall, alternate, dumpy self, who turns out to be Senor Cardgage, the guy who used to give Strong Sad nightmares. A few things. Firstly, the cast list gives Creepy Comb-Over Strong Bad whereas the Easter Egg section gives Senor Cardgage. Which should it be?

*EDIT: Since it's been almost a week since I posted this and I haven't had any feedback, I changed CCOSB in the cast list to Senor Cardgage, just to get rid of the contradiction. If you think they should both be CCOSB, by all means change it.

Finally, I removed this fun fact:

*The Prince of Town easter egg, which shows him asking if anyone will claim the lifetime supply of fishsticks, is there to show why he's so fat. He ate the lifetime supply of fishsticks and became the King of Town we all know and hate.
*just sayin: Dang, you people are vicious with your declines. Well, it may not matter anymore, but I agree with this guy. Strong Bad was obviously not talking in his usual voice, and his voice did indeed sound very reminiscent of Senor Cardgage. Strong Bad says often that he thinks Senor is so cool, so why wouldn't he imitate him?

And as far as them being different versions of the same character: Like Stinkoman and Sterrance, Senor Cardgage is a character that was created as a variation on Strong Bad to satisfy someone's question, but, just to be funny, was made into his own character. Creepy Comb-Over guy and Senor Cardgage have to be the same person, because he wears Strong Bad's mask (indicating that he's the variant of Strong Bad) but he's still referred to as Senor Cardgage in various toons. Yet on more than on occasion, Strong Bad is seen talking to Senor Cardgage (indicating that the variant and the original are two separate entities).

So in conclusion, Senor Cardgage is his own separate person, and Strong Bad likes him so much that he imitates him in this easter egg. BIGGITY!--Antisexy 05:57, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
A few things. Firstly, the cast list gives Creepy Comb-Over Strong Bad whereas the Easter Egg section gives Senor Cardgage. Which should it be?

Visual similarities to Creepy Comb-over Strong Bad
Senor Cardgage has many physical features that are similar to those of Strong Bad (ie. boxing gloves and mask, no shirt, black pants, etc.) TBC obviously patterned him after Strong Bad's general appearance when they created him; however, in the Homestar Runner universe, it is possible that Strong Bad actually patterned his own appearance after Senor Cardgage. It would make sense that Little Strong Bad, after living down the street from him for a while and coming to believe that he is one of the coolest guys ever, might decide to look, act, and maybe even sound as much as possible like the good Senor. It is never stated directly this is actually the case, but it is implied in the email kind of cool when Strong Bad describes his tall, dumpy alternate self (Creepy Comb-Over Story Strong Bad) as an exact duplicate of Senor Cardgage. — Ashen
:I reverted the above edit from the page, but moved it here since it represented at least several minutes work for someone. Unfortunately, views on the interrelation of Strong Bad and Senor Cardgage are far from unanimous; edits are regularly made and reverted asserting either that Creepy Comb-over and he are identical and should be merged, or are separate people and should be further elaborated.
:Your theory about Strong Bad adopting Cardgage's style is fun to hypothesize about. However, it represents one of our ongoing attempts to take "artifacts" of TBC's creative evolution and explain them into backstory or wrestle them into continuity. (See my lengthy rant on the subject.) The simple explanation for the visual similarities are that Creepy Comb-over SB started as SB's imagination, then Strong Sad said the hypothetical SB described was like S. Cardgage; then TBC liked the character they had created so much they made him a "real" character and gave him a short (even noting the contradictions and confusion they had just raised—"Wait, is Senor Cardgage real!?!"). By this time the hypothetically aged SB had gotten inextricably entangled with the memory of the (assumedly real) neighbor Señor Cardgage, who was immediately obscured by the problematically-real product of their union, Senor Cardgage. Thus we can have Strong Bad appear in the same shot with a character that is neither his imagined self nor the actual neighbor from the past, but... something else altogether. —AbdiViklas 02:44, 19 November 2005 (UTC)

So, let me get this straight. Señor Cardgage is the actual neighbor from the past, and Senor Cardgage is a figment of Strong Bad's imagination? Gm1121983 8:47 pm 17 Jan 2006
Seems to me like Senor Cardgage is to Strong Bad as Homsar is to Homestar. Maybe a better name would be stong bad?

Senor Cardgage and Strong Bad are two separate characters as well as Homsar and Homestar. Course, some people believe that Senor Cardgage is really Strong Dad. —2Fast2Furious 17:34 20 April 2006

Hey Just thought I would mosey on over here and second that Mark Norton motion, I lived on the Ontario Side of Lake Erie in 2004 when these horrors were still just being broadcast over the television and I couldn't help but think that the two had to be related even in those early days it's just too perfect a Comparison I mean you really can't get much closer to a Senor Cardgage than this guy... especially when the guys who came up with the character used to live in the broadcast region for the commercials. They certainly are creepy especially late at night or on SA. As this is no doubt likely to draw some attention due to the large amount of crossover between the SA, YT, and HS audiences. I was thinking something like this could go up on the Senor Cardgage page if people are cool with that.

"Comparisons can be drawn between Senor Cardgage, and real life furniture salesman Mark Norton who is known for his odd ball late night television advertisements.
