Strong Bad's (Mis)use of English

Though [[Strong Bad]] is quite obsessive about everyone's [[Spelling|grammar and punctuation]], he still makes some of the same mistakes himself. Everything from missing puncuation marks to made-up words to the occasional blatant spelling error grace the pages of his [[Strong Bad Email|emails]].

== Strong Bad's Mistakes ==

*[[some kinda robot]] - In his very first email, Strong Bad misspells "before you go to bed" as "before you ''got'' to bed."
*[[i love you]] - ''Fhqwhgads'' is misspelled as ''Fhqwgads'', missing the h in between w and g. This is ironic because Strong Bad [[sibbie|later]] complains about people misspelling it in emails.
*[[i she be]] - Strong Bad types the phrase "all i gotta say..." The ''i'' isn't capitalized.
*[[duck pond]] - Strong Bad misspells ''unfortunately'' as ''unfortunatley''.
*[[band names]] - A space is added before, rather than after, a comma in this email: ''"the easiest way is to ,you know..."''
*[[dullard]] - Strong Bad incorrectly uses the one-word adjective ''everyday'' instead of the two-word adverb ''every day''.
*[[techno]] - Strong Bad uses the possessive form of its instead of it's in the statement, "well, its not really my style." He later lionizes Dan D. in [[local news]] for the same mistake.
*[[dragon]] - After demonstrating how to draw Trogdor, Strong Bad says, "Let's see how the other students are doing." However, when he types it, he omits the word ''see''.
*[[the show]] - Not only does Strong Bad miss a question mark in this email (''"And what's with that flying mushroom he's always advertizing for."''), he also neglects to capitalize The Cheat's name (as ''the cheat''), and later the ''The'' in The Cheat's name.
*[[funny]] - Strong Bad misspells the filename of his email client, strongbad_email.exe, at the beginning of the email as stongbad_email.exe.
*[[the process]] - After stating that he makes fun of people's poor grammar and spelling, Strong Bad promptly misspells the word ''occasionally'' as ''occassionally.''

*[[pom pom]] - Strong Bad makes a spelling error in his letter to "General and Fraulein Pom Pom." ''Fräulein'' should be written with the [[Wiki:umlaut|umlaut]] over the "a" as shown. It is also politically incorrect to use ''Fräulein'' in modern Germany, but the term used to mean "young woman." He is wrong to use it in either case and should have used ''Frau'' instead. Strong Bad is obviously not fluent in German.
*[[pizzaz]] - Of the accepted spellings of this email's title, none are used in this email. Correct spellings include ''pizazz'' and ''pizzazz''. Strong Bad not only misses this, he even adopts the misspelling throughout in a very uncharacteristic move.
*[[time capsule]] - Strong Bad types "your hot single Mom" at one point. In this situation, after the posessive "your," mom doesn't need to be capitalized.
*[[part-time job]] - Strong Bad misses a question mark at the beginning; "What do you mean do I do anything else besides checking e-mails."
*[[origins]] - Curiously, Strong Bad misspells curiosity as ''curiousity''.
*[[rampage]] - Strong Bad stresses the importance of the "M.L.A. handbook." However, the actual MLA doesn't use periods in it's abbreviation.
*[[garage sale]] - Continuing his bad grammar on moms everywhere, Strong Bad types "the only joke Moms have." ''Moms'' shouldn't be capitalized in this instance.
*[[bottom 10]] - Though it is spelled properly in the bottom 10 list, the word ''chocolate'' appears as ''chocloate'' on Strong Bad's monitor at the end of the email.
*[[portrait]] - Strong Bad misplaces a period. "Guess what? Nobody calls you Coolio da Fabio (aka quit making up nicknames for yourself.)" The period should be outside the parentheses, but Strong Bad puts it inside.

*[[english paper]] - While typing Kyle "The Yellow Dart" Smith's paper, Strong Bad uses the term ''Secondarily'', another made up word.
*[[suntan]] - Strong Bad says that the "Ab-Abber" can make him a ''thousandaire''... or, at least, a ''hundredaire''.
*[[local news]] - Strong Mad's subtitle, written on an index card, reads "''Sportscarster'' Strong Mad." Strong Bad seems to be the culprit of this misspelling because (A) he threw together the news broadcast and (B) it's his handwriting, as seen in [[dragon]].

**Another way to cheat is to right-click the flash file and choose back on any question to go back and answer that question again. If repeated several times, it is possible to get more than 10 correct, in which case Strong Bad simply straightens his paper and says nothing, the easter eggs don't work and the nav buttons don't come up.
*If on the flash file you forward through all the questions, you'll get a "0 out of 10" score, but Strong Bad will be stopped on the first frame where he's just holding the papers. You have to press play for him to continue.

*You can see a "hiccup" in the animation of the pot's bubbling when the cartoon switches to one of the variables in the combination you made.
* Unlike the other characters, Homsar shows scroll-over information during the finale Easter eggs even while the rest of the characters comment on their costumes. This is because he is a sprite that overlays the scene.
*When you click on The Cheat at the end, Strong Bad's head changes size and his mouth closes a bit.

In the short [[Arcade Game]], strong bad gets a [[Trogdor]] stand up game, which he uses to "do [[The Cheat]]'s taxes." You can play the game by reaching it from the [[Scrolling Shooter Games Menu|Games menu]], or from the end of the short. The machine can also be found in the [[DVD]], where you choose your bonus material.

Also, in the email: "[[the bet]]", Strong Bad finds himself face to face with Typing Tutor Turbo. At first, he finds he dislikes it, but soon finds a use for it.

"How do you type with boxing gloves on?" is a question that [[Strong Bad]] seems to be asked on a regular basis in his [[Strong Bad Emails]]. [[The Brothers Chaps]] obviously must have been asked it so often that they made it a running gag that pops up fairly often.

This question (or some variant thereof) has been spotted in the following [[Strong Bad Emails]]:

Strong Bad hates this question, as it is often seen to be [[DELETED]]. Strong Bad finally got a chance to exact his revenge in the [[Fan Costume Commentary]], where he made fun of a fan's Strong Bad costume by saying, "Dear Strong Bad, how do you type with pieces of crappy red foam taped around your hands? Sincerely, Dress-up Donny." In the DVD commentary for the e-mail [[video games]], the Brothers Chaps say that they might come up with a way to answer this question someday.

'''Wrestleman''' is a name occasionally used to refer to strong bad. It is also the name of a [[Sketchbook]] picture of a fake [[Strong Bad]] that "will not be replacing Strong bad any time soon."

Strong Bad was referred to as a "Two bit wrestle man" in the email [[army|army.]] The second time Strong bad was referred to as a wrestleman was in the email [[secret recipes|secret recipes.]] In an easter egg at the end (click C H E _ T), You see the cheat reading a book called "So you want to cook a wrestleman?" with a picture of The Cheat putting the lid on a pot with strong bad in it.

Sometime before the second mention of strong bad being a wrestle man, a sketchbook pcture of him came out called "WRESTLEMAN", with a smiling face, and closed eyes, as pictured at the top right.

'''Strong Bad''' is one of the most popular characters. Strong Bad answers [[Strong Bad Email |e-mails]] with a passion, usually every Monday or Tuesday. He's [[Strong Sad]]'s big brother and [[Strong Mad]]'s little brother. His is the dominant personality and he loves to push everyone around: he's often ridiculing Strong Sad, abusing [[Homestar Runner|Homestar]], or prank-calling [[Marzipan]]. He has boxing gloves for hands (that always have square window reflections on them, no-matter where he is), a Mexican wrestling mask for a head, and it is confirmed that the mask IS actually his head in [http://members.shaw.ca/kevinscott/Homestar/page5.html this interview]. His favorite saying is (or was for a time) "holy crap." He is a stickler for grammar and [[Spelling|spelling]], and hates it when asked "[[How Do You Type With Boxing Gloves On?|Hey, Strong Bad, how do you type with boxing gloves on?]]". He usually does what he does best when he gets an e-mail like that: '''[[DELETED]]!!!''' The blue diamond on his face also gives him the power to mentally open bottles of Cold Ones and even Homestar's hat.
