I've never seen Panda Go Panda, but the fact that Pan Pan eats like a person and shows up without explanation in a world of people seems to point clearly to Genma Saotome in Ranma 1/2. I already tried to argue this at the [[Talk:Pan Pan]] section. Somebody back me up or tell me I'm nuts, please! I don't even watch Ranma but this is a dead ringer in my opinion. Actually, a Japanese person would say テレビ, or "terebi", not Teebee.

Well, yes and no. Terebi is the way that television is said mostly, yet should a japanese person say the us equivalent of "tv" (tee vee) they would say Teebee due to the lack of v in the language.

I really don't think that what Strong Bad says at the beginning of the email should be considered a haiku. Just because there's a line with five syllables followed by a line with seven syllables followed by a line with five syllables doesn't mean it's a haiku. I think that the fact that part of the "haiku" is simply the salutation of the email he receieved really kinda proves that this wasn't their intent.

*But the fact that he just HAPPENED to add in the "ding dong" to make it 5 syllables proves it was their intent.

This may be waaaay too far of a stretch, but did Strong Bad's fudging of the fast lyrics in the Stinkoman theme remind anyone else of the song Rubber Biscuit? It was covered by the Blues Brothers, not sure who wrote it originally. I guess I kinda doubt any similarity is intentional, but I though I'd float it.

A note to the lines, they're bigger than the lines around the buildings. Hence why they're overlapping. If the borders on the buildings were the same size, we may not see that problem. OK, since nobody has answered this query, I've done some looking around on the Wiki and have now become quite confused. Apparently, while the official transcription policy says that all easter eggs are not to be transcribed, quite a few old sbemail transcriptions contain the transcripts of Easter Eggs that require you sit at your computer like a good boy and wait, including the transcripts for [[caper]], [[theme park]], [[cartoon]], [[the process]], and [[lunch special]]. I know I'm like a year late here, but... the remark about "solid state replacing vaccum tube technology" may be incorrect. In this particular context, "solid state" means "no moving parts". For example, a USB harddrive and a USB memory stick are both storage devices. The memory stick is solid state, since it's just a bunch of microchips, whereas the harddrive is not solid state, as it uses a spinning platter and mobile read-write heads. "This is funny, you see, because the so-called Solid State boots apparently use a large and noisy vaccum cleaner motor, which is definitely not solid state technology." In [[the facts]] Strong Bad's computer analysis reveals that Strong Mad is 88 inches tall and 88 inches wide. Actually he's about 7.25% taller than he is wide. I think the new gallery format looks outstanding! I reorganized the order just a bit, placing all the characters of the "real" universe before those in the "invented" universes (e.g. TGS and Cheat Commandos). Also, the Chaps have stated that Senor Cardgage is a real and separate character now, not just an alternate version of Strong Bad. I would like to open this back up, mainly because I just saw the Marzipan article recieve the "Toons with Dialogue Alternatives" category. Characters should not go in toon categories, but that's the only way we can do this now. I still don't understand why we have character videos on character pages. Every single other video and snippet of flash on H*R gets a separate page except the character videos. If anyone has the time & will, I'd love to see a chart of character vs year on appearences. As such, the hypothetical non-existent singers are represented visually as an object associated with that scene. This is only because the format of QotW on the actual site requires the image of something the quote is coming from. The wiki, however, does not, and is free to state the true sayers of the quote, annonymous "singers", without having to resort to images. The ability to present the fact that all we know about the sayers of this quote is that they're singers, is why it shouldn't be recorded on the QotW page. ::I think this necessitates a different discussion. Is the format of this page as good as it can be? Early on, there has been no question that the character name and comma indicated both that this was the character speaking/singing, and that it was the character head used. But with the Chumbly Wumbly Bear song, and now even more so this, we see that there is confusion. Perhaps the character head id should be in its own "character head" column. This would make it clear that ''that'' is what we are noting, and who we hear speaking the quote is not necessarily the same (and is a secondary priority on this page). == Define "outtake" ==

Well, we have more edit-warring here regarding outtake status than anything else, so let's explore the issue.

What is an outtake? It's a take that was not used in a toon, basically. It may have been a particular reading of a line (or a single word) that was rejected for a different approach. It might be a totally different line that was recorded but unused. It might be an error, or "blooper". But in each case, the outtake does not occur in the finished toon.

In the "clabadonk" case, a strong argument exists for referring to the three repeated words as "multiple takes". There's evidence that at least one of these takes were used in the finished toon. I suggested "multiple takes", but even if it's somehow agreed that these are outtakes, it should be plural, as these clearly are three successive takes.

In the most recent QOTW we have a different issue. This is a line from the toon, but some extra is apparently tacked on. I haven't taken the time to listen and compare, but if the lion's share of it is in fact the same as is used in the toon, how can we call it an outtake?

What I'd like is a bit more formal agreement on what should and should not be labeled as an outtake so these silly revert wars stop. (And, at risk of sounding like a scoolteacher, my rule of thumb is it's good to indicate in the edit summary why the edit was made, but if you or someone you agree with is reverted (or if what you reverted is added back), it's time to take it to the Talk page, lest these wars continue.) {{User:Qermaq/sig}} 01:47, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
:After another listening under the tutelage of Pom Pom's keen ears, I don't think the current QotW (18 Jan 2007) is an outtake, but there are a couple of lines in the middle of it that aren't in the toon. Run you over in football. Run you down the field like a clown!"
