I reworded the phrase ''The fondue pot has 6 fondue forks, '''which is odd''' because most have 8'' to ''... '''whereas''' most have 8''. I don't find it intrinsically odd that the pot has 6 forks, Strong Bad could have easily lost, misplaced, or moved two of the forks. Since I can't see that it has 6 ridges for the 6 forks, there's no reason for us to assume it's always had 6 forks. *Well, there aren't that many ficticious universes out there there are nigh-devoid of women, with no explanation given. The Smurfs is the most cemented case of one woman, many men in the minds of many twenty-somethings. It's become almost cliché to make lewd jokes about Smurfette's promiscuousness, despite how easy it is to debunk that notion. But it's still on the top of many people's minds that Smurfette was the only female Smurf, so the comparisons will likely follow. Bottom line, we're dealing with a fictious setting and no explanation to why there's only one woman. Logically, it might be that [[Missy]] doesn't want to voice another character, or that [[TBC]] don't want to get another voice actor. Or maybe it's just funnier that way. But we can't mix real-world logic with an imaginary setting, so we rationalize it however we can; if we can't do it in the context of the Homestar universe, we'll find parallels with other works of fiction. Personally, I wouldn't care at all if the Smurfette tidbit was deleted, as it's a shaky correlation. If enough people see the link, it's probably worth noting. I just don't want to besmirch a Smurf, so I'll just try to keep the facts in the Fun Facts [[User:Wiggy|Wiggy]] 19:25, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

:I beleive the reason for that is that the girls in Teen Girl Squad live in their own universe apart for the H*R world (except for the glitch in [[virus]]). On the other hand the Unnamed Girl interacts with Homestar and Strong Bad in her appearances as if she was part of their world.

They really were in the general shape of her body, so I asked her if she watched H*R and she asked me what that was. == Smurfs ==

There is a minor mistake in the fun facts selection. It says that the only female smurf was Smurfette. Sassette was also a female smurf and was a pretty common character.

Since this comment from a month ago hasn't been addressed, I'll go ahead and make a tentative change noting that Smurfette was not the only female Smurf. Smurfette and Sassette were created by magic (the former by Gargamel, the latter by the younger Smurfs), but my memory can't recall if Nanny Smurf has an origin story or if it was just left unexplained. I'll also make it a bit more ambiguous as to whether Marzipan is the only female in the Homestar universe, while noting she's the only main character who is female. == Biography ==
Marzipan is [[Homestar Runner]]'s girlfriend, although during the course of the website's run she's become more and more annoyed with her sweetheart. She has actually broken up with him on numerous occasions. Some of these break-ups were due to Homestar's unintentional mean streak, but most are simply a means of demonstrating her independence. Luckily for Homestar, Marzipan continues to love him dearly and the two always seem to wind up together again. As [[Strong Bad]] says, she's a "dirty hippie without the dirt." She is a strict vegetarian and enjoys tofu and soy products. She's a huge animal-rights activist, and she likes to sit outside and play songs about happiness. [[Marzipan's Answering Machine|Her answering machine]] is a target of pranks from Strong Bad and others.
Marzipan is the only character voiced by the talented [[Missy Palmer]], and the only main female character on the entire site. This has earned her the somewhat unwanted romantic attentions of the other characters, particularly [[Coach Z]], [[Bubs]], and [[Strong Mad]]. She tends to anthropomorphize inanimate objects, as seen with her guitar [[Carol]], [[Homestar Jr.]] from [[Where's The Cheat?]], and "Mr. Corn" and the Butternut Squashes from [[Halloween Fairstival]]. Like Homestar, Marzipan has [[Lack of Visible Arms|no visible arms]], though she is able to interact with the world as though she did, being able to pick up and move objects, and even play a guitar. It is generally accepted that either her arms are invisible, or that she has limited [[Wikipedia:telekinesis|telekinetic powers]]. This is never directly explained in any cartoon, nor is it expected to be explained in the future. On occasion she has been easily fooled by poor attempts to imitate Homestar, such as [[Tofu Homestar]] and The Cheat's costume in [[do over#Easter Eggs|do over]]. Like the Homestar Jr. and her [[Halloween Potion-ma-jig|Halloween potion]], these may simply reflect a desire to change, replace, or accept altered versions of her boyfriend.
