== Biography ==
Marzipan is [[Homestar Runner]]'s girlfriend, although during the course of the website's run she's become more and more annoyed with her sweetheart. Regardless, she continues to love Homestar dearly, though she will occasionally break up with him for a day or two just to demonstrate her independence. As [[Strong Bad]] says, she's a "dirty hippie without the dirt." She is a strict vegetarian and enjoys tofu and soy products. She's a huge animal-rights activist, and she likes to sit outside and play songs about happiness. [[Marzipan's Answering Machine|Her answering machine]] is a target of prankishness from Strong Bad and others.
Marzipan is the only character voiced by the talented [[Missy Palmer]], and the only main female character on the entire site. This has earned her the somewhat unwanted romantic attentions of the other characters, particularly [[Coach Z]], [[Bubs]], and [[Strong Mad]]. She tends to personify inanimate objects, as seen with her guitar [[Carol]], [[Homestar Jr.]] from [[Where's The Cheat?]], and "Mr. Corn" and the Butternut Squashes from [[Halloween Fairstival]]. Like Homestar, Marzipan has no visible arms, though she is able to interact with the world as though she did, being able to pick up and move objects, and even play a guitar. It is generally accepted that either her arms are invisible, or that she has limited [[Wikipedia:telekinesis|telekenetic powers]]. This is never directly explained in any cartoon, nor is it expected to be explained in the future. She is also one of the kindest characters and is friends with pretty much everybody (even [[Strong Sad]] and [[Homsar]]) except [[Strong Bad]] and [[The King of Town]].

Okay, I did a few tweaks on AgentSeethroo's addition. We have to figure out a few things:
#How to list the Characters on the [[Characters]] page. I know the few characters we have setup now were done with categories. I don't know how we are going to get them all (secondary etc.) on one page.
#I indented the 3 Features. They are under Toons, but I know they deserve a spot on the Main Menu... any other suggestions on how to do that?
#Rejects/Everything Else - what to call the page. Or even if we need that page. Should we just list everything on the Characters page under several headings? And we have to figure out what the categories are going to be.

Okay, now that that's kinda settled...How are we gonna format the WikiStuff section of the main page? I know not everything will be included in this new wiki, but some stuff needs a place, like HelpDesk and WikiSandbox and whatnot. Do we just follow the same formatting as the old wiki, even though it may be like 5 links and that's it? Is it possible to make a sidebar links thingy that'd show up on every page? That'd be awesome, and it'd set us apart a little more.
Also, half of the pages that we linked on the main page make me wanna barf. I wonder why we never looked these things over periodically? I mean the downloads page, on a scale of 1 to 10 is horrible.5. There's gonna have to be some major overhauling of most those pages to make them look WAY more professional. :Ah, very good questions. MediaWiki has these things called "[http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Namespace Namespace]s". For example the "Category:" part of the link puts the page in the "Category" namespace. Our Wiki's namespace for pages like the sandbox and stuff would go under "Homestar Runner Wiki:" just like the [[Homestar Runner Wiki:General disclaimer]] and [[Homestar Runner Wiki:FAQ]] pages. The HelpDesk is in the "Help:" namespace. See [[Help:Contents]]. Also, a lot of that is under the "Special:" namespace: [[Special:Allpages|Allpages]], [[Special:Listusers|Listusers]], [[Special:Ipblocklist|Ipblocklist]], and so on. We can put stuff over there on the sidebar too. And yes, some of those pages are totally "barf" as you say. I couldn't agree with you more. Maybe someone else has some suggestions on all this... == Let's Open 'er Up ==
So, lately I've had this horribly sick feeling that things have gone all wrong. This wiki is a community, and therefore a project like this should be done as a community. What we should do, above anything, is get things ready to be opened up. I'd like to see our community finish moving emails, toons, and characters (maybe I'm just lazy, but I really do feel that this is a matter of principle).

I know some of you might be freaking out and thinking that we can't trust our users to move stuff the right way, but think about this: This community has worked so far precisely because we have given everyone the freedom to edit any document. This is the wiki way! If we don't trust our community to get things right, why is this even a wiki in the first place? We might as well just have a normal website maintained by the dozen of us that are working on this migration right now.

So, what we really need to do is all the stuff that's necessary for this place to be operational. We need to build the documentation, make sure all the namespaces and options are set up the way we want them, etc. What do you guys think of this? --[[User:JoeyDay|JoeyDay]] 09:31, 23 Aug 2004 (MST)

:Okay, this is a little scary. I think for the mostpart, you're right, but we still have to issue of page load. If we open up both the old wiki and the new wiki to everybody, things are going to slow to a crawl again. Can you think of any solution to this? Also, I'm afraid we'll have tons of collision problems with lots of people working on the same documents at the same time. Does anyone understand this very abstract illustration? As of now there is no clear line drawn, and many pages float in between. == Fun Facts ==
*When Homestar is judging the King of Town's pumpkin (pie), he asks the Cheat what he thinks. The phrase the Cheat uses to answer it appears on the [[cheat talk]]. He says, "The King of Town is so lame."

*Technically, by Homestar's rating system, either Strong Mad (good prize), Bubs (not last place), or The Goblin as Strong Bad as The Bee (most improved) should have won. Everyone else got worst, last, 2nd or 2nd-to-last, none of which could be 1st.

*This appears to be the only toon in which The Poopsmith has made any vocal sound (besides [[different town]]). One must wonder if this violated his vow of silence.

*Captain Lou Albano (whom Bubs dressed as) played Mario (whom The King of Town dressed as) in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show back in the day.

*Homestar walking on the hills at the beginning may be a reference to [[Old Intro 2]].

*If, at the end, you click on the moon to get the freaky possessed Marshie, then quickly click on the KoT, you'll go to the starting screen for Super Kingio Bros but Marshie's voice will continue over it.

== Biography ==
The Cheat is quite possibly the only one of its kind. At knee-height (1' 2" ''et'' 18lb.), and covered with yellow fuzz, The Cheat presents an adorable figure that is marred only by his large gold tooth. Contrary to his looks, his temperament can be vicious, though he is fiercely loyal to [[Strong Mad]] and [[Strong Bad]]. He can play the piano, and owns an old keyboard. His other skills include [[Powered by the Cheat|flash animation]] and he owns his own computer, ''[[Tangerine Dreams]]''. The Cheat also lives in [[The King of Town]]'s grill (we learn this in [[Where's the Cheat?]]. And The Cheat is a mix between cheese and an anvil acording to [[Strong Bad]]. The Cheat has hooked his [[Tangerine Dreams|computer]] to a hidden video camera in the [[Computer Room]], as seen in [[huttah!]] It's not clear if it can be taken as truth, but Strong Bad's retelling of how he met The Cheat in [[flashback]] professes that he hatched from a giant egg containing a lifetime supply of fishsticks.

He is apparently a parody of Pokeman's Pikachu. This is evidenced by Pikachu flying around in [[The Cheat Theme Song]].
