I took the screenshot and messed with it. I conclude that it is a mix of the two (so if anything it's 16-bit).&lt;br /&gt;
These are the 8-bit qualities it has:&lt;br /&gt;

:Max colors at once: 24 colors&lt;br /&gt;
:Max sprite size: 8x16 pixels&lt;br /&gt;

I took the screenshot a and messed with it to figure it (white, black, 3 shades of yellow, 3 shades of green, 3 shades of red, 8 shades of blue, and 5 shades of gray) as 24-bit.  however, this is not an exponant of 2, so it must round up to 32-bit. I took the screenshot a and messed with it to figure it (white, black, 3 shades of yellow, 3 shades of green, 3 shades of red, 8 shades of blue, and 5 shades of gray) as 24-bit.  however, this is not an exponant of 2, so it must round up to 32-bit. But, if you were to take out the sky (blue, and clouds--or--blue, and the gray lettering for the score) it would bring it down to 16-bit.  -10nitro&lt;br /&gt;
