We need to list all the Freebies you can get with your order. As far as the keychains go, I only know of the Strongbadia Stop sign. --[[User:FireBird|FireBird]]
Wierd, cause i only know the homestar one. I have 2 of them. lol Is the strongbadia stopsign shaped like a star also, but with homestar's head replaced with the sign? --[[User:Martin925|Martin925]]
:No, the [[Stop Sign]] keychain looks like the Stop Sign. It is shaped like the Stop Sign. I think it has www.homestarrunner.com on the back, written in white. I've actually lost mine, so I'll have to find it. --{{User:Venusy/Sig}}, 01:23, 22 August 2005 (BST)
This page really needs major work, especially in the updating-to-the-new-page department. I looked at some scripts and i found that the ones that can change backrounds have three. The nighttime is displayed between 7pm and 4am, the sunrise/sunset between 4am and 6am, also between 6pm and 7pm, and the rest daytime. So, starting at 12 am, from 12am to 4am nighttime, 4am-6am sunrise, 6am-6pm daylight, 6pm-7pm sunset, and 7pm-12am nighttime. Sunrise and sunset are identical, the ones that change are Bubsness and Song.

No, it's not legal. TBC have given the rights to reproduce their characters to the company that prints their shirts, and producing your own shirt undermines their ability to turn a profit. Now, as long as you don't ''sell'' your shirt (I'm assuming we're talking about ''one'' copy), you probably won't attract much notice. But you asked whether it was legal, not whether you would likely be prosecuted. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 02:40, 23 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Using Leader's "Continue" link, I've managed to see three of them- all except "cinnamon.swf". {{User:FireBird/sig}} 19:05, 25 Jul 2005 (UTC)
:: Transcripts of all but the Bubsness message were already on the Store page. The "celgegante" message appears automatically after you see the "bubsness" message enough times, so I screwed up transcribing the Bubsness message by seeing it too many times. == Store Revamp ==

I noticed [[User:mibluvr13|mib]] revamped the article. It looks great, but I think it could use some improvement, especially the "Accesories" section. The pictures stretch the screen on smaller screens, and I think it'd look nice if most, if not all, of the products were tables with the "closeup" feature on all of them. I also don't really like the direct images from the actual Homestar Runner Store. I think they could use some editing (and better quality). If the whole thing was a table, it wouldn't look so cluttered and messy, but easy on the eyes and not as difficult to read. My two cents. {{User:FireBird/sig}} 21:07, 6 Aug 2005 (UTC)

They have the Homestar one that is white, shaped like a star, has a picture of homestar on it, a red border, and says the site adress in red on the back. The Strongbadia one is red, shaped like a stop sign (octagon), has the word 'STOP' in white on it, with 'STRONGBADIA, POP: TIRE' in a spraypainted black font written overtop, and has the site adress in white on the back. I don't know of any others! --dayve_57, 1 Oct 2005
Here's a tidbit: on the order confirmation/acknowledgement emails, Big Freebie A is the homestar keychain, and Big Freebie B is the stop sign... I think.
I [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=Store&diff=226695&oldid=223291 think] there are a couple of layout things that need to be discussed.
#The [[Store#T-Shirts|T-Shirts]] section table looks great except for the Sizes column. Currently, only one row has all the sizes listed and really it looks unsightly. I'd do away with the entire column if it was me and think of a different way of listing these (perhaps an extra <code>colspan</code>'d row below each entry).
#Also, the '''20X6 Stinko Man Shirt!!!''' pictures should have the red '''20X6''' box removed from them.
#I'm not sure what [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=Store&diff=226695&oldid=223291 updates] table is referred to here. But tables are generally good.
#It's been discussed or at least mentioned before that this page be broken up. Should it? It's not as big as i thought it was but it sure is sizeable. Regardless, the layout of the products and their description is not yet consistent among sections.
===Update===

:Okay, I spent quite a while cleaning up the store. How does it look now? If it's good enough, then I'd like to add the id tags like we did with the Floppy Disk Container, and move over the links to the store from the [[H*R.com updates 2000|updates]] series of articles to ones straight to the store page here. Maybe leave the current links straight to the store for now, but since the links get out of dated, I'd like to switch most of them over to a permanent solution here. But I don't want to get started on that unless everybody agrees this page is good enough. {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}}

:Well, no opposition here. I'm saying it's cleaned up enough. {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}} 02:47, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
::Nice Job Thunderbird and you definitely put in lots of work into that page! I do have two questions though: I didn't quite understand what you meant to do when you said you were gonna add id tages like the Floppy Disk container to change some links... what links specifically were you going to change? Can you provide examples? Also, there's still open the suggestion of breaking this into several pages. What you think? --[[User:Stux|Stux]] 15:19, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

It's been awhile since we've done a community project, but I think it's about time for another one. I've been wanting to work on Store for a long time, so I thought this would be a good way to get something done with it. A couple of things that need to be done:

==={{done}} Images===
All of the images now follow the [[HRWiki:Image use policy|image use policy]].
==={{done}} Updating [[HRWiki:Userbox]] and [[Flash Store]] ===
Both [[HRWiki:Userbox]] and the [[Flash Store]] have been updated with the correct images.

==={{done}} Different pages for each type of product===
This is what I've been wanting to do for a long time. Instead of one massive Store article, I think it'd be nice to have different pages for each type of article: <nowiki>[[Store T-Shirts]], [[Store Toys]],</nowiki> etc. This would make [[Store]] much shorter, and it'd be easier to keep up with and archive the different descriptions for each product, which change around some. This is just an idea, of course, and I'd like to see some different opinons on it.

I was headed to Atlanta this week and assumed there would be a store (or retailer) in their hometown. Is there any place there that sells merchandise?
:The homestarrunner.com store licenses select independent retail establishments to sell some of their merchandise based on [[HRStore:reop.html|these conditions]]. == Homsar shirt preview ==

I was just browsing the store when I noticed that the preview for the Homsar shirt was in a Flash file. Namely, [[Videlectrix:storeflash/shirt_homsar.swf|here]]. It's pretty weird that it's hosted on the Videlectrix site, and not on the main one, or the Yahoo store. Anyways, does anybody know when it was added, and if so, how and where do we mention it? {{User:E.L. Cool/sig}} 18:46, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
:Thanks to [http://www.archive.org archive.org], I have found out that is was put up sometime after June 22, 2007. {{User:The Goblin/sig}} 18:53, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
::The shirt was re-introduced in Nov 2007, according to [[Store T-shirts]]. Whether that Flash file was there then or not, I don't know. I know it was there pre-Christmas, though, since I encountered it then (sometime within a week before Dec 25). That probably doesn't help. =] {{User:OptimisticFool/sig}} 18:58, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
== Bad Math ==
Currently, the store lists the Strong Bad overkill combo as being '''$63.95''' separately. I don't know about anyone else, but I do the math as follows: <small>Strong Bad Emails 3 Disc DVD Set</small> '''$29.95 +''' <small>Strong Bad Emails Disc 4 DVD</small> '''$12 +''' <small>Strong Bad Emails Disc 5 DVD</small> '''$12 +''' <small>Strong Bad Sings CD</small> '''$12 = $65.95'''. I don't quite know how to phrase a goof like this, so I invite some talented soul to do so. {{User:OptimisticFool/sig}} 04:15, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
:It's a common practice to throw in a small discount on combo packs in stores to sell the items... otherwise, why buy the combo, instead of just buying the individual items? -[[User:StarLion|StarLion]] 15:06, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
::Wait... reread your post, and think I may have the answer... it's '''still''' a goof, though! Take out the price for the Strong Bad Sings CD (Note that the store says "'''FREE'' Strong Bad Sings CD"), and you get $'''5'''3.95 as the price individually. Still a goof, but just a 5 instead of a 6. -[[User:StarLion|StarLion]] 15:18, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
:::<s>I think combo prices usually charge a bit '''more''' than usual prices, since they know some people will buy them no matter what the price. {{User:Homestar-winner/sig}} 15:49, 18 January 2008 (UTC)</s>
:::Oh, nevermind. I get what you're saying. I think that TBC are still counting the CD's price as it is still included in the combo, free or not. {{User:Homestar-winner/sig}} 15:52, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
I got this response from the Customer Support team over at the store:
<tt><blockquote>The "$63.95 Separately" price was for during the holidays when the CD was on sale for $10. We forgot to change it once the sale was over. Thanks for letting us know.</blockquote></tt>
I put both here on the talk page to illustrate the screen-space that could be saved with the smaller table... ''{Short opens with pan down to the field. Cut to a close-up of the Tragic Clown Dog's face. Zoom out to a medium shot of Strong Bad's face visible in an open flap of the costume, taking a drag off what appears to be a cigarette and exhaling audibly. Coach Z, wearing the Drive-Thru Whale costume, enters screen right.}''

'''COACH Z:''' Well, hey there, fellow mascot! I didn't know you was the smokin' type!

''{Cut to a close-up of Strong Bad}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{whisperingly}'' Shh! I'm not! ''{normally}'' But Bubs only gives me one of each kind of break. I've already used pee, coffee, and maternity leave today. And this is a white crayon.

''{Cut to a medium shot. Homestar Runner enters screen left, wearing the Jolly Dumple costume.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' What is up, my fellow sweat factories?

'''STRONG BAD:''' Whoa, I didn't know ''you'' were working today.

''{Close up of Homestar.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Yeah, it's freshman orientation. I'm in charge of orienting them freshly!

''{Cut to Homestar in the field with the CGNU tower visible in the back, and silhouettes of freshmen in the front. The words of Homestar's song are show at the bottom of the screen, with a ball bouncing as sings each word.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{singing}'' You're gonna have to<br />
share a bafroom<br />
with some kid from Alabama<br />
that kinda sucks.<br />
The financial aid office<br />
is closed on Tuesdays<br />
and steer clear of the<br />
beef stroganoff at the<br />
dining hall!

''{Close-up of Homestar.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' C! G! N! ...U! ''{whispering}'' And then, and then you guys all say "Me?"

''{Cut back to medium shot.}''

'''FRESHMEN:''' ''{mumbling}'' No way, no way.

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Ah, that's good, that's good. ''{dancing, quietly}'' We got spirit!

''{Cut back to Homestar and Strong Bad.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' At least you get college kids! I got little snot-butted kids messing with my costume all day!

''{Pan over to Coach Z.}''

'''COACH Z:''' I used to have that prablem, too, but now I just swallow 'em up and spit 'em out in the baall baath! ''{throws several colored balls out from the mouth of his costume}''

''{Close-up of Coach Z. The top of his costume gains and loses bumps as an unseen child stuck in the costume knocks on it.} ''

'''CHILD:''' Mommy! Mommy! I don'&mdash; can't see!

'''COACH Z:''' Oop! Looks like I forgot one. He'll be fine for at least a week.

''{Cut back to medium shot of all three.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Hey, where's Pom Pom, anyway?

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Oh, P-squared's not in the union. He doesn't even get a break.

''{Cut a low shot of Pom Pom strapped to the roof of Bubs' Concession Stand, with a sign that reads "RIGHT CAR! RIGHT PPICE!" <!--[sic]-->}''

'''BUBS:''' What is wrong with you? Attract more customers! ''{Cut to an inflatable gorilla with glasses behind the [[Gremlin]] with a sign that reads "YOUR TEXT HERE!"}'' That gorilla's pulling his own!

''{Cut back to a close-up of Homestar}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{sniffing}'' Man, what ''is'' that smell?

''{Cut to a shot of all three}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Uh, Homestar, we're three grown men working in mascot costumes in the dead of summer! What ''isn't'' that smell? ''{close up of Strong Bad}'' I can name about forty different odors emanating from this thing right now. There's death, rot, decay&mdash;

''{Cut to close up of Coach Z}''

'''COACH Z:''' Damp, moist, kimchi!

''{Cut to a close up of Homestar}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{holding yellow alarm clock, which rings once}'' Ah! It's time. ''{shot of all three}'' Let's do this.

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{as Homestar and Coach Z walk off}'' Ugh, not again....

''{Cut to a close-up of a speaker on a wooden pole}''

'''THE ANNOUNCER:''' That's right, ladies and gentlemen! ''{Cut to a shot of The Announcer in the booth}'' For your between-inning unjoyment, it's the Bumbling Mascot Race Around the Field!

''{Matt and Mike sing "Yakety Sax" while Coach Z, Homestar, and Strong Bad randomly move around a baseball diamond.}''

''{Cut to the inflatable gorilla with a sign that reads "The Ending Here!"}''

'''MATT:''' Does it end different?

'''MIKE:''' I dunno. Let's do it again.

==Easter Eggs==
*Click on the Gorilla's mouth at the end to see an animation of a video game with the mascots.
*:''{A black screen with "GAME START!" appears. The mascots run around on platforms and ladders, referencing the old video game 'Burger Time', while Mike and Matt hum the theme music. Eventually, Mike stops humming. "GAME OVER" flashes on screen.}''
*:'''MATT:''' Go longer.
*:''{Mike starts and stops again}''
*:'''MATT:''' No, I mean you stopped longer.

*Click on the word "Here!" at the end to see Homestar and Coach Z (as Poppy and Stoppy, respectively, from [[theme park]]) have a conversation at Mount Ridesplace, USA. Music plays and a pink border is present.
*:'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Man, these mascot costumes in Strong Bad's imagination are ''way'' better than the real-life ones!
*:'''COACH Z:''' Boy, I'll say! Mine's got a minibar and air conditionin'!
*:'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' My ol' Dumple costume had air conditioning. It conditioned the air to think it smelled like... dead zut.

==Fun Facts==

===Explanations===
*[[Wikipedia:Kimchi|Kimchi]] is a pickled Korean dish made with beef stock, cabbage, and hot peppers, and is known for its distinctive pungent smell and mildly spicy taste.
*Mascots or other costumed figures are featured at [[Wikipedia:Sausage Race|several]] [[Wikipedia:Presidents Race|ballparks]] racing around the field between innings during baseball games.

===Remarks===
*The collar and tie on Strong Bad's costume have been moved down since their last appearance, to make room for the door.
*Although Strong Bad denies being a [[Smoking|smoker]], he's been seen smoking a cigar in [[Store Thank You Message]].
**In consideration that the costumes are likely made from [[Polymascotfoamalate]], smoking in one would be potentially dangerous (more so than usual), as seen in [[4 branches]].
*Strong Bad indicates that the three of them are grown men; a rare clue as to [[Ages of Characters|their relative ages]].
*Just as it was in [[Blubb-O's Commercial]], the Gremlin's passenger-side window is completely opaque and gray.
*Whe the scene cuts back to the three mascots after the gorilla balloon, the "ball bath" balls have disappeared.
*When Strong Bad runs around at the end of the toon and in the Easter egg, the door on his costume [[Flipped Images|switches sides]] whenever he turns around. However, the animation in these sequences seems to be intentionally poor.
*Even though Strong Bad says his "cigarette" is a white crayon, its tip seems to be smoking for some reason.
*Strong Bad has a much easier time walking in his costume than he did in [[part-time job]].

===Goofs===
*When Homestar is holding his alarm clock, there is a very thin white gap between the black border and the bottom of the green background.
*As Homestar walks away from Strong Bad, he vanishes shortly before he has walked completely offscreen.
*The sign on Pom-Pom says "Right ppice" instead of "right price".

===Inside References===
*The various costumes:
**Strong Bad appears as the [[Tragic Clown Dog]], seen in [[part-time job]]. (At the end of that email, however, he quit working for Bubs.)
**Coach Z appears as the [[Drive-Thru Whale]], from [[Blubb-O's Commercial]].
**Homestar once more wears his [[Jolly Dumple]] costume, first seen in [[mascot]]. (The sing-along style of Homestar's song, as well as the ending, are also references to this email.)
**In an Easter egg, Coach Z and Homestar appear as [[Strong Bad's Mount RidesPlace! USA#Mascots|Poppy]] the [[Tire]] and [[Strong Bad's Mount RidesPlace! USA#Mascots|Stoppy]] the [[Stop Sign]], who appeared in [[theme park]].
*The pink border in the [[Mount Ridesplace, USA]] Easter egg is from [[dreamail]].
*Strong Bad [[Smoking|smokes]] a white [[crayon]].
*The background music for Homestar's orientation song is the version of the CGNU Fight Song played by a high school band that was featured as the [[Quote of the Week#QW-2006-02-09|Quote of the Week]] on February 9, 2006.
*Strong Bad mentions "[[Peeing|pee]], [[coffee]], and [[Pregnancy|maternity leave]]" as the types of breaks he has taken that day.
*Homestar mentions [[sucks]] during his song.
*Coach Z mentions his smells as being [[moist]].
*"Kids from Alabama" were previously mentioned in [[An Important Rap Song]].

===Real-World References===
*The instrumental "[[Wikipedia:Yakety Sax|Yakety Sax]]" is sung while the mascots race around the Athletic Field.
*The Easter egg activated by clicking the gorilla's mouth is a parody of [[Wikipedia:BurgerTime|BurgerTime]].
*The [[page title]] is a reference to the band [[Wikipedia:Thinking Fellers Union Local 282|Thinking Fellers Union Local 282]].
*When the kid shouts "Mommy! I don- can't see!", it may be a reference to the 1982 film [[Wikipedia:Poltergeist (film)|Poltergeist]], when Carol Anne shouts the same thing from inside another dimension.

''{close-up of Homestar}''

'''MARZIPAN:''' ''{annoyed}'' I said, "Where's your hat?".

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Yeah, you're not even speaking English at this point.

''{reverse to Marzipan}''

'''MARZIPAN:''' ''{sighs, resigned}'' I mean, where your hat is at, Homestar?

''{reverse to Homestar}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Hey, good question! Without my hat, I won't be allowed to play in the ''big'' game.

'''MARZIPAN:''' ''{annoyed}'' Well good! Then you can start mowing the lawn and&mdash;

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Let's look under the couch!

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Whew! It's not in the pool. ''{closer shot}'' But I did find this Strong Sad brand concrete block!

''{Strong Sad appear, encased in cement, with both of his eyes bloodied}''

''{page turn to reveal Homestar opening the lid to The King Of Town's grill, revealing a piece of meat.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' It isn't cooking on the grill? ''{reverse}'' Man, I really thought it'd make complete sense if my non-edible hat would be cooking on a food grill!
''{push wipe left: Homestar on the blue background}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Where my hat is at?

''{page turn to Homestar underneath a red car in the garage}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Or under this auto that I always all the time drive around. ''{pause}'' And call an auto.

''{cut back to the wider shot}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Oh! How about a trade? You let me borrow your hat, I let you borrow my jock.

'''POM POM:''' ''{angry bubbles}''

''{Pom Pom throws the 8-ball at Homestar, who flees screen left.}''

'''HOMESTAR:''' Oh, never mind!

''{page turn to close up of Coach Z in the locker room}''

'''COACH Z:''' You lost a prat of your uniform!?

''{wider shot of Coach Z and Homestar, who is looking embarrassed}''

'''COACH Z:''' Well, it's like I always say. A man's uniform ''{cross fade to [[The Chalkboard]], which has a hat drawn on it and is embellished as Coach Z speaks}'' is like a temple, wherein he keeps his uniform when he's not using it.

''{Chalkboard is pushed up to a two shot of Coach Z and Homestar. Homestar looks annoyed.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Um, are you suggesting that my hat is inside my hat?

'''COACH Z:''' No, I'm suggesting that&mdash;

''{close up of Homestar}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Well good, 'cause I already looked and it's not there.

''{page turn to Bubs' Concession Stand. Homestar is standing outside, and the sign reads "Candy"}''

'''BUBS:''' Shrug. I haven't seen it! ''{close-up of Bubs}'' Nobody's tried to sell me any stolen hats this half hour!

''{cut back to the wider shot.}''

'''BUBS:''' ''{lifts up Marzipan's pony tail}'' I do have this stolen wig, though.

''{page turn to The Umpire and Homestar, standing at home plate}''

'''THE UMPIRE:''' If you can't find your hat, you're not allow to play in the ''big game''!

''{close up of Homestar}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{annoyed}'' Um, yeah, we sorta established that in the first scene. ''{happier}'' But thanks anyway.

''{page turn to Homestar kicking a soup can}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{distraught}'' Looks like I won't be able to play, then.

''{cut to a shot of Homestar walking down a road, with his shadow reaching towards the horizon and sky gradually turning to orange.}''

''{cut to Homestar in his kitchen next to the refrigerator.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{sadly}'' I could really go for a few Cold Ones right about now.

''{reverse shot from inside the fridge, with hat in the foreground}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Hmm, it feels like something is strange here... but I can't seem to put my finger on&mdash;

''{cut to Homestar with the swirling blue background}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{excitedly}'' There my hat is at!

==Easter Eggs==
*If you press the spacebar on your keyboard, the cartoon displays the corresponding image from the book.

==Fun Facts==

===Explanations===
*[[Wikipedia:Bangers and mash|Bangers and mash]] is a traditional British dish of sausages and mashed potatoes.
*"Coach Z's" emblem has been changed. The "Z" has an upward, curved point on the top left-hand corner.

===Trivia===
*Homestar Moves his mouth like he does in the book when he says "Where my hat is at?"
*This is the second remake of a book, the first being [[Strongest Man in the World]].
*Almost all of the scenes of the cartoon are taken directly from the original book. A few images are different, however. For example, the refrigerator contents are in a different order in the cartoon. Also, the meat on the grill is a ribeye in the book and a t-bone in the cartoon.

===Inside References===
*The loading screen features [[cheese]].
*Strong Bad pronounces "world" as [["Er" pronounced as "Oi"|"woild"]].
*Just like in the original, Bubs' Consession Stand says "Candy".
*[[Minor Foods#Frozen Bake|Frozen Bake]], a food first seen in [[Twenty THANXty Six]], can be seen in Homestar's fridge.
*Homestar has a [[Cars|car]] <!-- pipe neccessary --> in this toon.
*Homestar is seen [[kicking a can]], and the 1936 music is playing, making it a specific reference to [[Kick the Can]].
*Homestar is seen drinking [[Cold Ones#Colden Ones|Colden Ones]].
*"Where my hat is at?" is an example of a [[non-inverted question]].
I added that fun fact because it is a little odd that Blue Laser would tell his minion to add something that has already been added, especially since Blue Laser appears to be staring at the list as he says it. I would think this merits some fun fact-ness. {{User:GuardDuck/sig}} 22:23, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
:It's been added and removed a couple of times, and is on the [[Talk:The Next Epi-Snowed#Cold cuts easter egg|talk page]] without much response. :I can try, but my sig is very simple, just a gradient. All i did was change the colors of it. In truth, i'm pretty bad at sig-making. == Talkheader ==

Hey, I've created a new template at [[Template:Talkheader]]. I was wondering if you were any good at Wiki code, because I'm having three issues with it. Once the box is finished, I'd like to customize it to the Homestar Runner Wiki. Also, if this is redundant, let me know. [[User:Son|Son]] 16:35, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
:Hey there, i'm actually curious what all these templates you're creating are for. We tend not to create templates without extensive discussion. I get the talkheader one, but not the others. (Also, there's better ways to put headers on all pages of a namespace than templates, and such a thing is best left up to the site developers.) {{User:DeFender1031/sig}} 16:36, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
::Thanks for tagging those. I wholesale copied the Talkheader template from Wikipedia. In the process, it had these other templates layered in it. In my tired idiocracy, I tried to build those as well. It was becoming hopelessly complicated. At that point, I at least moved them into my userspace, though it's probably a lot simpler to just delete those in the first place. I thought that perhaps a talkheader would be a nice improvement to the site. I probably should have put in a request some where. If that's the case, I'll keep that in mind for the future. [[User:Son|Son]] 16:47, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
:::Well, i can tag the remaining ones in your user space for deletion if you want. As for the talk page header, we already have something sort of like it, {{tl|talk}}. It might be worth expanding and seeing if the devs want to have mediawiki automatically add it to the top of every talk page. I certainly would support the idea, your template makes it very clear what talk pages are for, and it might be good to have a short list of talk page rules there. I think i'll bring it up with the devs and get back to you on it. {{User:DeFender1031/sig}} 16:52, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

I looked up what < tt > means...
From [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TT#Computing_and_electronics Wikipedia]:
An HTML element for teletype or a monospace font family, e.g. <tt>monospace</tt>.
I'm guessing it's something that standardizes fonts if people use different skins in their preferences.

Hope this was of interest to you. It was to me when I saw you wondered (what I'm sure was probably more rhetorical than less...), so I looked it up. Thought I'd spread the word!
[[User:Son|Son]] 18:36, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
:Sure. when putting "subst:" before a template, it will replace, or SUBSTitute, the template call for the actual code contained therein. For example, if i have a template named "example" that contains "This is a sample template", if i were to write "<nowiki>{{example}}</nowiki>" somewhere, then when i go to edit the page, it'll still say "<nowiki>{{example}}</nowiki>" in that spot on the edit page. If i wrote "<nowiki>{{subst:example}}</nowiki>" instead, it would instead have "This is a sample template" written. Outwardly, the pages would look identical, only in the code does it matter. I hope that answers your question, cause i don't know how to make it any clearer. {{User:DeFender1031/sig}} 23:51, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, so I thought I made a valuable contribution to the Homestar email toon article, I even went through the legwork of doing the necessary research to make everything authentic. Boy was I cheesed off to see it deleted within seconds! It took me a few days to do the trackdown, and it pointed to you. I was REALLY cheesed off until I went to your home page, and then I saw why you deleted said additions. I thought my contributions were significant. Heck, I never write ANYTHING online without first considering if it will be worthwhile or just internet poop, whether this note be a Facebook note or a blog. But after reading your page on what you think good content is, especially regarding pop culture references, I understood why you removed them. Yes, I will stand by my post. I still think it was important information. But I've had limited exposure to pop culture as a whole, so it's likely that the information I supplied could be found in a hundred places. And you feel that a reference to a concept (a reference that can come from a dozen sources) is unnecessary to mention. I agree. It just hurt to see my first post wiped out in seconds. --[[User:Bauerman24|Bauerman24]] 04:18, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
:I'm not entirely sure what edit you're referring to, as you seem to have not made any edits with your account before this one, but i assure you that i meant no offense by reverting. For a long time I've said that we need a mechanism to revert edits while still letting people know that their contributions are welcome, but unfortunately such a thing would be tedious and annoying to do, as we often get anonymous users who make one-time edits that aren't worth keeping. But anyway, would you mind clarifying to which edit you are referring? Whatever it is, i'd be glad to discuss it. {{User:DeFender1031/sig}} 04:39, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
I did the edit before I had a real account, so I just showed up as an IP [I KNEW you were going to look! haha]. The address WAS [[97.89.178.220]]. Probably the last one, but I don't know how to link to the history page or anything. I'm still new to this whole "edit-a-wiki" thing.

Like I said, I read why you remove posts like mine [even though I didn't know I was referring to common phenomena at the time]. I can't stand wasteful or poorly-written posts. I've edited a fair share of run-on sentence posts. So, thank you for keeping your wiki cleaned up and informative. These things can get bloated with junk fast.

Thanks for being understanding about it. I don't expect to see my work back up. In fact, I'd prefer it stay down, in the interest of an accurate, more concise wiki. Will you umm... make me a... halloween sig? {{User:Acam30/sig}} 01:25, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

== tt ==

Hey dude, one question. You wouldn't mind if you could send me pages that need images, I'll be happy to supply one! I mean you don't have to do it every day but, just tell me pages that are in DIRE need of images. Asking for a favor, [[User:Record307|Record307]] 23:09, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
How to I use my sig?--{{User:Record307/sig}} 01:15, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
:Look in your [[Special:Preferences|preferences]] under "signature", and paste <nowiki>{{User:Record307/sig}}</nowiki> into the box. Make sure to check the little box for a raw signature. Cheers, {{User:MichaelXX2/sig}} 01:06, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
I can't tell any change between the post you did and the way MichaelXX2 "fixed" it for you. Can you explain the difference, just for the sake of someone unfamiliar with wiki syntax? -[[Special:Contributions/132.183.140.140|132.183.140.140]] 23:44, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
:Sure. when putting "subst:" before a template, it will replace, or SUBSTitute, the template call for the actual code contained therein.
*Yeah, so I thought I made a valuable contribution to the Homestar email toon article, I even went through the legwork of doing the necessary research to make everything authentic.
