It is unclear who his modern counterpart may be. It could be the owner of [[Galoob]]. He could also be [[Homsar]], since he is wearing his trademark hat. It is possible that the Bossman was an early idea for a 1936 [[King of Town]] (the characters share the same eyes, mustache, "leadership" role, and paunch); however, [[Matt Chapman]] has indicated that the [[The Kaiser|Kaiser]] is the current 1936 KoT [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/Club_Aquatica_Interview_-_29_Oct_2003]. Okay, so The Bossman wears a bowler hat. So what? Many people wore that type of hat in those days, and in all honesty, I think that The Bossman looks more like the King of Town than anyone else: check the mustache, waist line, and eyes! - [[User:63.114.228.2]]
