If you're going to make your signature "<nowiki>~~~</nowiki>", then you need to put "nowiki" tags on each side of it. You see, everytime someone edits a page with your sig in it, the <nowiki>"~~~"</nowiki> in you sig is replaced with the editers sig. This is what your sig needs to look like: 
<nowiki>[[User:Some HSR themed username|<nowiki>~~~</nowiki></nowiki>]].

The Cheat drank some as well, and the rest is speculation, which doesn't have much room here. I'm of the opinion that the whole point of referencing 'anything' is to help the reader figure out what is going on. Consistency with the dialogue makes that possible. Oh, haldo HSRu! You may have your own style with this (as I did), and maybe I'm a little too obsessive-compulsive about it all, but I want to show you something that I find to be easier. When you revert an edit that doesn't need to be explained, you can just type "rv" in the edit summary. Also, if combatting vandalism or trolling, you can just type "rv/v" or "rvv". I find that much easier, especially when fighting flood-vandalism, because you don't have to type so much, you are less likely to make typos, and people who really need to see revert note know what it means, anyway. My summary box has a popup window that lists the last few things I've entered as summaries, but I have fallen out of the habit of using that. Perhaps I will switch over to shorthand, because I've been working a lot more lately. And then of course there's the times when I feel like writing something different in the box for a change, just to mix things up a bit. I quite enjoy Homestar Runner, obviously. What you may not know is that I'm pretty much you're average guy named Tyler who spends way too much time in recent changes doing gnome stuff. But I like it there, it gives me comfort in its own special way. This userpage is a haphazard amalgamation of stuff that I feel like disclosing. It changes whenever (but not often).

Lots of things including PSPs can not run H*R.com even if they have internet. I find that strange, but i'm guessing this just makes the website more informatinal. Forgive me if I'm out of the loop, but I don't understand why this reference is in here, even though it seems to have been around since this page was created. From my perspective there are three reasons this sentence should be considered for removal.

First, to my (perhaps limited) knowledge, the Brothers Chaps have not highlighted this TV show as an influence, certainly not prominently enough to warrant it being the second sentence of the article.
Second, because of the previous point, this sentence seems like an insertion of mere opinion.
Third, I had never heard of this TV show before and this sentence would not have been helpful in explaining homestarrunner.com to me.

So unless there is a great consensus about the similarity of HR to H.R. Pufnstuf or documentation from the Brothers Chaps, I think we should remove this sentence.

The [[Toons|cartoons]] nominally center on [[Homestar Runner]], a somewhat dim but goodhearted athlete. The character [[Strong Bad]], however, is often more popular among fans, mostly through his near-weekly updates of [[Strong Bad Email]], short cartoons in which he answers viewer email. Strong Bad works closely with his sidekick [[The Cheat]] and uses his brother [[Strong Mad]] as the muscle in his operations. Together, the three prey on Strong Bad's awkward and constantly depressed brother [[Strong Sad]]. The series is the product of [[Matt Chapman|Matt]] and [[Mike Chapman]], who typically call themselves "[[The Brothers Chaps]]." Matt Chapman provides the voices of the male characters, while [[Missy Palmer]] (Mike's wife) does that of Marzipan. Mike Chapman provides the stilted voices for [[Powered by The Cheat|The Cheat's amateurish Flash cartoons]]. Many other [[Contributors|contributors]] help with the series.

Because the Brothers Chaps run their own website, they have a creative freedom that they would not have doing a regular TV show. Though the site sells [[Store|Homestar merchandise]], it has no commercials, and a few of the cartoons parody advertising, with products like [[Fluffy Puff Marshmallows]]. The Internet has allowed them to reach a large audience that they wouldn't have access to otherwise. Originally, they developed Homestar Runner as a labor of love, and for their own amusement. It has grown large enough that merchandise sales pay for all of the costs of running the website. An article in the ''Chicago Tribune'' on July 24, 2003, reports [[Don and Harriet Chapman|the retired parents of the Brothers Chaps]] are spending a lot of time dealing with the business aspects of the website.

The website, built mostly out of [[Macromedia Flash]] animations, is filled with hidden [[Easter egg]]s: if a certain area on the page is mouse-clicked at the right time, an additional cartoon or screen will appear.
