Um, how can you tell if she's sweeter?--[[User:Hysterical Woman|Hysterical Woman]] 11:40, 25 Sep 2004 (MST)

:Uh, maybe because she hardly says anything? :) [[User:bombcar|Bombcar]]

:Obviously, because while the real Marzipan would insist on some odd kind of health food, 1936 Marzipan is okay with parsnip soup. (In all seriousness, if you want to remove the editorial on how sweet she is, be our guest.) [[User:Render|Render]]

== Move? ==

I think the page title of this should be moved to "Marzipan (1936 Character)" Beacause it says in Parsnips-a-Plenty that her name is still Marzipan. [[User:Stongbah|Stongbah]]

:<s>Yeah, I think so too. {{User:Bubsty/sig}} 20:34, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)</s>
::On second thought, no. Correct me if i'm wrong, but none of the other 1936 characters have a page ending in (1936 Character). It would be hard to search for. {{User:Bubsty/sig}} 21:15, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
Old-Timey Marzipan

Homestar Runner is Communism: Old-Timey Marzipan moved to I've got tired of moving, see ya is Communism

[[Image:marzipan1936.PNG|thumb|140px|"Let's make soup!"]]
'''Old-Timey Marzipan''' is the [[Old-Timey]] version of [[Marzipan]]. She differs slightly in appearance and affect from the current Marzipan.

Visually, the Old-Timey Marzipan is almost identical to the current version, with only a few changes: she has pigtails instead of a ponytail, her face is shorter, wider, and shaped less like a baseball bat, and her smile is bigger, less curved, and more angular. She also has a visible chin, which only a few characters have. Finally, her skirt has a less realistic design.

Unlike modern day Marzipan's on-again, off-again relationship with [[Homestar Runner|Homestar]], Old-Timey Marzipan is an inseparable companion of [[The Homestar Runner]] and his friend [[Fat Dudley]]. Moreover, she is significantly less concerned with social causes and more concerned with eating. It is unknown if she and The Homestar Runner are dating as they do in the modern world.

==Fun Facts==
*Although [[Cholera Acres Cemetary|graveyards]] don't scare her, she has an unusual fear of [[Punkin Patch|punkins]].
*Similar to [[Old-Timey Strong Bad|Sir Strong Bad's]] moustache having bones, her ponytails and skirt have a skeletal system.
*Apparently, she's not a vegetarian as the modern Marzipan is, as she gazes wistfully at the remains of some poultry at the beginning of [[That a Ghost]].

Homestar Runner and Marzipan's Relationship

Homestar Runner is Communism: Homestar and Marzipan's Relationship moved to Homestar and Marzipan's Relationship is Communism

[[Image:Marzipan Frowns in Narrator.PNG|thumb|"A dorky chef's hat threatens to tear them apart..."]]
[[Homestar Runner]] and [[Marzipan]], although officially dating, have a rather tenuous '''relationship''', as has been evidenced several times. Homestar frequently insults Marzipan (although he may not realize that he is doing so), and Marzipan occasionally treats Homestar with contempt. Occasionally, they even break up or mention breaking up. Nevertheless, they always end up together again. Their relationship seems to be the opposite of that between [[The Homestar Runner]] and [[Old-Timey Marzipan]], who are seldom seen apart.

==Appearances==
===Homestar offending Marzipan===
*[[Homestarloween Party]]: Homestar chooses to stand next to [[Bubs]] instead of Marzipan and has her stand next to [[Strong Bad]].
*[[The Luau]]: Homestar skips out on Marzipan's luau, telling Pom Pom that it was terrible, though he does say he loves her.
*[[The Best Decemberween Ever]]: Homestar says Marzipan's gift ideas are terrible and that he doesn't even want to see what she got him.
*[[Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 6.0#Message 1|Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 6.0]]: Homestar calls Marzipan "kind of annoying, and overbearing, and kind of a big hippie."
*[[Where's The Cheat?]]: Homestar says, "Hey, Stupid!" to Marzipan.
*Email [[date]]: An entire [[Strong Bad Email]] about an unsuccessful date with Homestar and Marzipan.
*[[Happy Fireworks]]: Homestar tells a cardboard version of Marzipan to shut up.
*[[Halloween Potion-ma-jig]]: In the [[Halloween Potion-ma-jig#End 1: Tofu Homestar|Tofu Homestar ending]], Homestar tells Marzipan, "That costume makes your butt look big."
*Email [[narrator]]: Homestar says Marzipan looks like an "enormous alien cow".
*[[Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 13.2#Message 6|Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 13.2]]: Homestar discovers text messaging and is very glad that he and Marzipan will no longer have to talk to each other.

===Marzipan offending Homestar===
*[[Marzipan#Character Video Transcript|Marzipan's Character Video]]: Marzipan says that she and Homestar are one hot item when she says they are, after which she sometimes says "And today we are not." (sometimes she says "And today we are", and when she does, she "offends" Homestar by leaving to the chinchilla protest.)
*[[Sensitive to Bees]]: After Homestar says Marzipan can tell people that he sang with her, she responds, "No thanks!"
*[[Fall Float Parade]]: Marzipan is unsympathetic to Homestar's plight of being stuck in a pile of swee-atshirts.
*Email [[narrator]]: Marzipan says Homestar looks like a dork in his chef hat.

===Homestar and Marzipan Breaking Up===
*[[Pumpkin Carve-nival]]: Marzipan says she's breaking up with Homestar after he gives her pumpkin last place (although she learns later that it was really Strong Bad dressed as Homestar who gave her last place).
*[[Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 9.2]]: Homestar breaks up with Marzipan on her answering machine because he believes that she told him to "go away and pick up sticks". He later realizes that this is untrue and seeks to cover up his rash message.
*[[Store]]: In the third [[Store Thank You Messages#Homestar and Marzipan's Thank You|Store Thank You Message]], Homestar tells Marzipan to go away, and she responds, "All right, broken up."
*[[lady...ing]]: Marzipan asks Homestar if she's broken up with him yet, and he replies, "Yeah, a couple times."
*[[Halloween Potion-ma-jig]]: In the [[Halloween Potion-ma-jig#End 2: Cycloptic Homestar|Cycloptic Homestar ending]], Marzipan tells Homestar "I don't think you have to worry about dating anyone from now on," to which Homestar responds, "Hooray!"

===Marzipan Preferring Fake Homestars over Real Homestars===
*[[The Luau]]: Marzipan prefers [[Tofu Homestar]].
*[[Where's The Cheat?]]: Marzipan speaks to [[Homestar Jr.]] and ignores the real Homestar.
*[[do over]]: Marzipan hangs out with [[The Cheat]] dressed in a bad Homestar [[The Cheat Other Costumes|costume]].
*[[Halloween Potion-ma-jig]]: All of Homestar's alternate forms at the end except his cycloptic form impress Marzipan (at least at first).

===Other References to their Relationship===
*In [[Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 12.2]]: Homestar refers to himself as "Boyfriend Dan" and, later, forgetting who Boyfriend [[Dan]] is, tells him to watch his back.

*In [[Cool Things]]: Homestar and Marzipan are seen hanging out at Marzipan's house.

I wonder if they were getting a DOS attack or just every desparate H*R fan was hitting the site all at once!). This would explain your problems: the flash files are unable to load the new versions of the .xml files and therefore will either present an error or load an older, cached version. == External links template ==

I can never remember the verbiage for the external links, and it occurred to me: why don't we have a template for it? So I made one and applied it to the most recent email:

<nowiki>{{sbemailextlinks|142|6836}}</nowiki>
produces this:
*[[HR:sbemail142.html|watch "secret identity"]]
*[[HR:sbemail142.swf|view the Flash file for "secret identity"]]
*[[Forum:6836|forum thread re: "secret identity"]]

There are a few special cases where the Flash file is different from the HTML file, and the early emails don't have forum threads, so we could also make sbemailextlinks2 and -3 if we wanted. I don't know that it's necessary to convert all the old ones, but it should be helpful on the new ones. — [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 17:47, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

:Is it worth it to make it more complicated? I've thought about it before for the info at the top of emails too, but then always talked myself out of it because it seems like it would confuse some for only a small gain (at least for the stuff at the top, this is a better scenario). We could make lots of things easier by using complicated templates, but then the learning curve would increase. I like the idea though, and if others like it too, I wouldn't be against using it. -- [[User:Tom|Tom]] 03:23, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

::Well, it saves having to type the name of the toon three times, and I can never remember the wording without looking it up. At the very least, it could be a tool that could be subst'd on each new email. Maybe it could be tweaked (or a "toon" version created) to handle all toons. — [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 03:26, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

:::At the '''''*very*''''' least it can be used as a
subst:
template. If you know about it, you use it, if not you don't. --[[User:Stux|Stux]] 04:12, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
== All emails? ==

Does [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=Strong_Bad_Email&diff=247500&oldid=247175 this] number take into account DVD emails or no? I think that information should be explicit. --[[User:Stux|Stux]] 18:08, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
:I think so, I don't see why they wouldn't count those. {{User:Salty/sig}} 04:15, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

== Floppy Disk Container ==

:''This discussion was originally on [[Talk:secret identity]].''

I don't remember now where i got the comment from, but the original Sam & Max comment had been removed because it's in the [[Floppy Disk]] page now. I made the [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=secret_identity&diff=248700&oldid=248699 new one] more concise and pointed to the floppy disk page. So what is the precedent for it? Do we simply not mention anything about the floppy disk and simply assume readers know about the floppy disk page (and know where it's at) and will go there to find out what the floppy disk says? --[[User:Stux|Stux]] 16:03, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
:I have often wonder why that page is never mentioned on the email page but far as I know, we don't mention the floppy disks on th email page. {{User:Invisible_Robot_Fish/sig}} 16:41, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
::Yeah...it seems like the page should be linked ''somewhere'' on the email page. If it was linked, where would that go? In the remarks section? Or could the link be put in a common location on each email page which features a floppy disk? {{User:Trey56/sig}} 17:05, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
:::''[noting edit conflict due to similarity of ideas]'' You know, this should be fixed. [[Floppy Disk Container]] isn't, as far as I can tell, linked to from anywhere relevant, not even the main [[Strong Bad Email]] navigation template. The best it has going for it is that it's in [[:Category:Strong Bad Email]]. Why not have a one-line mention somewhere in each email that points out what the disk title is and gives a link to FDC? I'm thinking either something in the trivia or up in the stats at the top of the page. — [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 17:12, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
::I'd go with Remarks/Trivia on each email that features it. - {{User:Joshua/sig}} 17:20, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
:::I like the idea of the stats position at the top of each page. For example this week's would have the following:
::::'''Floppy Disk:''' [[Floppy Disk Container|sam and max]]
::::Regarding the link to FDC: We should have a standard. How about this: <nowiki>[[Floppy Disk Container#<game name>|<game name>]] where <game name> is the name of the game written exactly as it is on the disk label. Then, we should insert corresponding IDs into the rows of the table over at FDC, like this: id="<game name>"</nowiki>. — [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 17:29, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
::::Perhaps something like...
* The [[Floppy Disk Container]] reads ''sam and max''.
::::And maybe the italized part will... link to the actual section of the Floppy Disc Container page... I don't think it needs a place up at the top, because not all emails have them. - {{User:Joshua/sig}} 17:55, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
::::::I give up...I thought I could figure out how to add those invisible ID's, but I need help. Is it literally the text, id="sam and max", for example, or am I missing brackets, etc.? Thanks, {{User:Trey56/sig}} 17:57, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
:::::::Probably. I noticed this, too. - {{User:Joshua/sig}} 18:18, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

Okay, folks! Cool new fact: According to the W3C, which wins, ID's cannot begin with numbers. So some of the ID's have to be changed, maybe by the discrete insertion of a "id_" before the name (e.g.
id="7th_guest
->
id="id_7th_guest"
). I realize this makes the id's kinda unwieldy and silly, but as they don't affect the content of the page or its meaning I think this is a good overall solution. Please raise here any objections or proposals for modification to this. Thankee! -- [[User:Jweb Guru|Jweb Guru]] 03:28, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
== Email list: Column length and <autocolumn> ==

I noticed that not long ago, my editing the lengths of the columns in the email list were reverted, and not long after, I noticed that [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] added an <autocolumn> tag. I think that's a good idea, but I don't like how the way it's currently implemented deals with the lengths of the columns. Currently, the first two columns are each one item longer than the second two. When email #149 is released, the way <autocolumn> is set up now, the first column will be one longer than the other ''three''. It seems to me that in any other context, the more usual and more natural method is to have all the columns but the last equal in length, with the last column being shorter. When #149 is released, that would mean the last column would be shorter by three items, but because the others are equal, it looks better than having the first column sort of jutting out at the bottom. (Interestingly, I think I was the first one to convert the list from three columns to four, and it wasn't reverted then.) [[User:Gus|Gus]] 23:49, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

:To clarify, when 149 comes out, you would rather have columns of 38, 38, 38, 35 than the 38, 37, 37, 37 that the <autocolumn> tag would display? -- [[User:Tom|Tom]] 23:57, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
::<s>My guess is that you mean to have 37, 37, 37, 38 instead of the 38, 37, 37, 37 which would appear with the autocolumn now. Am I correct Gus?</s> Oops, I think I was wrong and Tom got it right. However I think it looks more even the way it is now. --[[User:Stux|Stux]] 00:09, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

::Yes, Tom. Think of it this way: If you think of anywhere else you might see columns of text, you expect each column to go to the very bottom of the page or section or wherever, and have it stop wherever it needs to. Here, though, there is no defined bottom, but 38-38-38-35 gives that effect better than 38-37-37-37. It's more aesthetic. [[User:Gus|Gus]] 00:19, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
::Also, would I be right to assume that <autocolumn> is programmed into the wiki software, and would require access to the wiki source to change the way it renders the list? [[User:Gus|Gus]] 00:24, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
== Era labels ==

Maybe that anonny had a good idea. I put the era labels back, although I did it in a way that is better suited to the autocolumn. Namely, I inserted some special line breaks so that it will correctly number the lines and so that there is never a heading without at least one email title underneath it. I tested it through email 162, and from emails 155 to 158, the three computer headings will be at the top of their respective columns. From emails 159 to 161 it evens the columns out as it starts dividing the Lappy emails, and then beginning at email 162 the second two headers will again be in the middle of their respective columns. — [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 23:01, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

Homestar Runner is Communism: Talk:Internet Slang moved to Talk:Internet Slang is Communism

== What the Cr4p? ==

Since when did we pronounce "Teh Ch8t" as "The Ch-eight-et"?? I thought it was well understood that "Teh Ch8t" translated to "The Cheat". (We're going for "What it means", not "How it's pronounced".) {{User:KieferSkunk/sig}} 17:56, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
:Indeed. — [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 18:00, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
::I agree, it was preety well before. Maybe it just sounds like that because saying "Teh Ch8t" in proper English would sound more like "The Chait," which may sound like an Australian accent. {{User:Teh_Frossty_One/sig}} 18:56, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
:::I think it should be consistent with the fun fact [[mile#Remarks|here]]. Change the fact or change the page. {{User:E.L. Cool/sig}} 19:22, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
::::Yes, I see how you can get "The Chaitt" out of that, but that's still talking about how it's pronounced. This page isn't addressing that - it's addressing what the Leetspeak MEANS, and it's pretty clear that "Ch8t" = Cheat, regardless of how it's pronounced. {{User:KieferSkunk/sig}} 23:50, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
:::::Oww... Now I understand! {{User:E.L. Cool/sig}} 05:08, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
:::::Oh. Thanks skunkdude. {{User:Teh_Frossty_One/sig}} 13:04, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

== 7h3 4lph4b37 ==

''(for all those not very fluent in leetspeak, that up there says "the alphabet)''

I have an idea for the page...maybe do ''another'' table that show each letter in the ''normal'' English alphabet (i.e. a, b, c, etc.), but then give the letters that require it their translation into leetspeak (i.e. a=4, t=7, e=3, etc.). Just an idea. {{User:Teh_Frossty_One/sig}} 13:08, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

:Not needed. This is not an article about leetspeak, but about leetspeak in the Homestar Runner cartoons. There's a link to the Wikipedia article with much more information on the subject. {{User:E.L. Cool/sig}} 13:15, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

== LØL ØM6 BBQ!!!!111oneeleven ==

I'm wondering if we're deviating a bit from true Leetspeak on this page by listing things like "omg", "g2g", "hooray4dolphins", etc. (I just added "hooray4dolphins" myself, but that's mainly because we also have g2g and omg up there.) Should we distinguish between Leetspeak and commonly accepted shortcuts that aren't necessarily "Leet"? Because if you want to be technically accurate about it, "omg", "lol", "g2g", etc., are not Leet - they abbreviate phrases rather than replacing individual letters with numbers, codes, etc. {{User:KieferSkunk/sig}} 18:01, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

:What if this page was moved to a new name? How about Internet Slang? {{User:E.L. Cool/sig}} 18:06, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

::I'm good with that. After reading the Wikipedia article on '''[[Wikipedia:Leet|Leet]]''', I believe we should make this article a more general article on Internet Slang, which includes Leet. But "hooray4dolphins", "omg", etc. are not Leet. {{User:KieferSkunk/sig}} 19:09, 9 December 2005 (UTC)

::I believe that most internet slang is composed of the primary characters, A-Z, or numbers representing A through Z, or ''Leet''. Emoticons, additionally, can not be pronounced, save this particular one, I believe, and therefore are not [[Wikipedia:Slang|slang]], the non-standard use of ''words''. — {{User:Lapper/sig}} 21:21, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
::::::Your American censoring system baffles me. {{User:E.L. Cool/sig}} 19:17, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
::::::::But again, people unfamiliar with this stuff would be confused to see "LMAO" translated into "laughing my butt off" because "butt" doesn't begin with "a".
* Move forward, ignoring the remains of Tampo the robot. Simply shoot the two gray bouncing robots named "Jaros" that you'll meet.
* Jump and shoot the flying blue robot who is called "Chorch". Then jump up on the high ground and keep moving.
[[Image:Stinkogame1-1-2.png|thumb|A Chorch and a Greggo]]
* There's another kind of robot nearby that will hide when it senses you. It's called a "Greggo". Wait for the Greggo to start walking away from you, then jump and shoot him. Climb up to the highest level of this small hill and go to the edge, taking care not to fall onto the spikes called "Old Sages" down below. If you happen to slip and fall onto them, I hope you've already written your will, because you're dead.
* Jump onto the nearest floating platform when it is at its lowest. Wait until it is higher up, then shoot the Chorch.
* Walk onto the next few platforms when your platform is higher. If you fall, you will die instantly. When you are on the third platform, jump and shoot the nearby Chorch.
* Jump over the small gap when the next platform is low. Then go from platform to platform in a similar manner. When you reach the end, jump off the the lower ground and shoot the two Jaros there.
* The path now splits in two. The lower path is riskier and should only be tried by experts (but bypasses all the enemies), but the higher path is longer and good for beginners.
** Lower path: Get on the rightmost edge of the area you are on and you will see a trapdoor. Carefully time your jump so that you land on the platform just as it comes back up.
** Quickly run across and jump at the very edge of the platform onto the tiny platform.
** Jump from the tiny platform to the ground that lies ahead.
*** Higher path: Climb the ladder, being careful to avoid the shots of the shooting robot "Browntant." If you wish, you can kill the Browntant by shooting it three times. Just remember to climb down to dodge its shots between firing. You can't hurt it while it's blinking red.
*** Climb up higher and shoot the Chorch. Then jump off the ladder and onto the platform with the tree on it.
*** Jump up from your platform and shoot the Greggo. Don't worry about the direction it's facing, you won't jump high enough for it to see you.
*** Walk to the stair-like platforms. When the moving spike is down, jump over it and land on the edge of that platform, avoiding the spike.
*** When the time is right, jump over the Jaro. You might want to shoot it. You also may want to take out that Browntant on the other side of the wall. Once you reach the end of the stairs, jump down while staying close to the wall. (You can also take out the Chorch at this point.) You will land where the two paths reconnect.
* Follow the path of the ground you are on without jumping up. The Chorch, if it is still there, won't be able to harm you down there. Go the end of the path into the bushes. There's a wall there, so you can't continue, but you can shoot the Jaro on the other side. Finish him off now so he won't bother you later.
[[Image:Stinkogame1-1.png|thumb|Drills gone mad!]]
* Jump up to the next platform and shoot the Chorch. Follow the path to the platform directly above. Run past a drill on the ceiling whenever it is retracted. Stop between drills and then repeat the process until you pass all three.
* Jump onto the box. If you didn't before, kill the Browntant now.
* After the Browntant shoots, jump and shoot at it. Repeat this process until the enemy dies. Then jump up to where the Browntant used to be.
* Hop onto the tiny platform. Then jump to the one on the left. When you hop to the one to the right, be careful. If you fall, you will land on the spiked cucumbers called "Pooru-Poorus" and get hurt a bit. When the moving platform is at its lowest, hop on. Ignore the solitary tiny platform to the right.
* When the moving platform is between the two upper platforms, jump off to the left if you need help; otherwise, head to the right.
** If you are low on health, hop onto the box. You will need to fall through the trapdoors to reach the capsule. There are two ways to do this without taking damage from the moving spike below:
*** Sometimes you can time it right so that you can land on the lower trapdoor with enough time to spare so you can jump back up to the top one and then jump away to safety.
*** When this is not possible, time your jump so the drill is gone. Drop and quickly run right.
*** Get back to the upper platforms and jump to the right platform.
* Drop down the path between the two walls, moving left and right to get off the tiny platforms that will be blocking your path. As long as you took care of that Jaro earlier, you should have no problem.
* When the horizontally moving platform gets close enough, hop on. The path now splits into two. The lower path is really risky and should only be tried if you want a challenge. The higher path is much easier and safer.
** Lower path: Hop onto the square platform. Then jump onto the little platforms one by one, being very careful not to fall off. When you reach the last one, wait for the moving platform to be down low and hop on.
** Higher path: Jump onto the ladder when the timing is right and climb up to the top. Be careful, an invincible flying robot named "Kolkaryu" will come to meet you up there. It will shoot some shots downward. When it comes, quickly run to the tree and you'll be safe.
*** Walk to the edge of the platform and time your jump so you land on the dipping platforn just as it comes back up. If you fail, try to catch yourself by landing on one of the tiny platforms below. If you succeed, jump onto the moving platform and you'll be where the paths reconnect.
* When the platform you're on is high enough, jump onto the stationary platform. Then wait until the next platform is low enough and make the rather big jump. You should try to be halfway off the stationary platform before you jump.
* Jump onto the closest dipping platform when it's up and then quickly jump onto the ground. Stay clear of the drill!
[[Image:Stinkogame1-1-3.png|thumb|A Browntant and a Jaro]]
* Jump over each drill whenever they are in the ground until you've cleared them all. Now the path splits up again. The lower path is easier, but both aren't too hard.
** Higher path: Staying up on the platform with all the drills, jump when it's safe and shoot the Browtant until it dies.
*** Hop onto the dipping platform right after it comes back up and then jump to the platform which had the Browntant on it. If you fail doing this part, you will land on the lower path. Then jump onto the next dipping platform with good timing and quickly walk toward the end and jump onto the platform with the hanging ladder to be at the connection point.
** Lower path: Drop off the platform you're on and shoot the Jaro through the box. Hop over both boxes, jump over the cliff, and grab the ladder. Don't mess up or you'll die. Climb up the ladder to be where the paths reconnect.
* Jump off the platform and grab onto the hanging ladder of the next platform. Climb up when it's same and shoot the Browntant. Either jump over or duck under (using the ladder) to dodge its attacks.
* Jump off the right side of the platform and onto the tiny platform below. Then try to reach the next one to your right. From there, jump to the ground. Remember, Stinkoman won't fall from the tiny platforms until his feet are completely off.
* You will reach a large hill. Shoot all the Jaros and Chorches. Then kill the Browntant by jumping when it's safe and shooting.
* There's a capsule in the second to bottom row with a spiky cucumber called a "Pooru-Pooru" right over it. Grab the pill without going under the Pooru-Pooru to not get hurt. It is best to approach the capsule from the right side. You'll have to inch close to safely get it.
[[Image:stinkogame-secret-1 1-01.png|thumb|Secret Item]]
** SECRET ITEM! Go to the top of the hill and jump. You will find a hidden platform behind the tree. Jump again and you will find a hidden capsule behind the tree. Getting this capsule is easier and safer than getting the one next to the Pooru-Pooru.
* When you're ready, run up to the flag and end the stage.

===Stage 1.2 (Transcript)===
''{The same level start scene is shown with the words, "TRY LEVEL 1.2" at the bottom.}''

''{As the level begins, the following words are projected across the screen for a few seconds.}''

START PLAY!

===Stage 1.2 (Guide)===

* Blast the Jaro and make your way to the ladder, which has 3 Pooru-Poorus under it. Jump onto the ladder and don't let go. Wait until the Greggo has passed and the drill to have gone up, then immediately clear the ladder and if necessary, get close and punch the Greggo to kill it.
[[Image:Stinkogame1-2-2.png|thumb|Just chillin'...on a ladder...I'm cool with that.]]
* Climb up to the top platform and watch out for the semi-hidden Pooru-Pooru. Jump over it and be careful. A Browntant is ahead and will shoot at you. Jump over its shots and kill it. Then stand on the right edge of the platform.
* Wait for the trapdoor to come back up and immediately run off the edge, land on the trapdoor, and jump on to the platform to the right (the one with the wall on it). Then shoot the upper Chorch through the wall.
* This next move is kind of tricky, so be careful. Wait for the moving platform under you to get closer. When it's directly under you, fall to the left and snap back to the right to land on it, then immediately shoot the other Chorch. Hop onto the lower vertically moving platform when the time is right.
** There's a capsule ahead, but it's extremely hard to get to it and back. Don't get it unless you really need to and/or if you are confident with your skills.
** If you choose to get the capsule, you can get there two ways. The basic way is to wait on the vertically moving platform and jump onto the trapdoor as soon as it comes back up. Quickly walk to the edge and jump to the platform that holds the energy tank. The other way is to climb up to the stairs above and drop through onto the platform.
** This next part is difficult, but you need to return. Look carefully at the trapdoor and the nearby vertically moving platform. You'll need to jump from one to the other when they are aligned. Even then, you'll have to get the most out of your jumps by jumping at the very edge of each platform.
** When the trapdoor drops when the vertically moving platform is around halfway down and lowering, that's usually a sign that you should attempt the manuever as soon as the trapdoor raises. This is possible and is good luck.
* Whether you go for the capsule or not, the next step is to jump onto the next vertically moving platform when they align. You should have killed the Chorch here earlier, but even if you didn't he shouldn't be much of a problem. When it's time, jump onto the solid platform above.
* Go down the stairway, and either wait on the second-to-bottom step to shoot the Jaro when it hops, or jump over it and shoot it. As stated earlier, you can choose to drop directly down from the bottom step to land where the capsule is. If you choose not to, go up the other stairs.
[[Image:Stinkogame1-2-3.png|thumb|Ahhh! Kolkaryu!]]
* As you climb up, ignore the path of tiny platforms below. They'll be explained later. Once you reach the top, stay off the elevated part of land with the Browntant and immediately move to the center of the platform. A Kolkaryu will have appeared, but as long as you stay there directly underneath it or on the far left of the platform, you will be fine.
* After the Kolkaryu leaves, jump up and deal with the Browntant the way you usually do (unless that way is dying). Then go to the right edge of the platform. You will see three trapdoors.
* Watch the trapdoors and use your judgement as when to run or jump across. If you want, you can shoot the Greggo when it gets close before you go. If you don't, just punch it when you get there.
** If you mess up and fall through these trapdoors, don't panic. You aren't going to die.
** If you fall, there's a platform directly below. There's a Jaro on it, so try to avoid it. Once you land, quickly kill it. Then jump and shoot the Greggo.
** Jump onto the platform that the Greggo was on. Then jump onto the tiny platforms from there, one after the other. From the second one, jump back onto the staircase. You're now back where you belong. Be careful though, these jumps can be rather tough.
** Get back up to where the Browntant was. Cross the three trapdoors without messing up this time and kill the Greggo.
* Walk over to the ladder and climb down to the bottom. Do not let go without making sure it's safe! Underneath the ladder you will see a trapdoor. When the trapdoor flips up, hit the jump button to drop down onto it and hop to the tiny platform to your right.
* From there, jump onto the ground when the Chorch is out of the way, then shoot it.
* Hop onto the first floating platform. The jump to the second platform is rather easy, so hop on it, then jump and kill the Browntant.
[[Image:Stinkogame1-2.png|thumb|Floating platforms]]
* Now you have to jump up onto the next two floating platforms. These ones are rather tricky to get onto, so run completely off the platform you are on and then jump. Once up there, jump onto the little platform.
* There's another Kolkaryu near that tree. Just jump onto the platform, run to the ladder, and go up as fast as you can; you're safe there.
* Hop across the moving platforms. It's rather easy, and if you've made it here it shouldn't be much of a problem. Time your jumps and take it a platform at a time. On the other side you will find a much-needed capsule. Try not to get hurt now, because you won't get more health until after the boss. (Or if you die, but you don't want to do that.)
* Below you are several blocks forming a staircase. There are obstacles on the stairs. (In respective order, there are a half-hidden Pooru-Pooru, two drills one after the other, another Pooru-Pooru, and a Jaro.) You can stay on the edges of the steps to avoid becoming a futuristic slice of swiss cheese. Wait on the second Pooru-Pooru step to blast the Jaro when it jumps into range.
* Jump onto the last remaining box and then prepare to jump onto some ground. You can't actually see the ground, so aim for the tree when jumping off the last platform. Watch out for the Browntant a few steps away from the tree.
* After killing the Browntant, run ahead like crazy and prepare to meet the first boss in the game!

===Level 1 Boss: Tampo (Transcript)===
''{Cut back to the start of level 1.1, where Tampo's remains are lying. Suddenly the brain that was sticking out on top wiggles and floats up. It flashes black and grows huge. Its brain stem disappears and the medulla turns bright red during the change. Then it floats away to the right.}''

''{Cut back to Stinkoman. He is standing in a green field. Suddenly Tampo floats by and heads to the upper right corner of the screen.}''

'''STINKOMAN:''' Are you asking for a challenge?

'''''After you defeat Tampo...'''''

''{Tampo's medulla disappears and he shrinks back to normal. Then he disappears with a pop. Stinkoman laughs for a while and then teleports away.}''

===Level 1 Boss: Tampo (Guide)===
* It looks like Tampo wasn't satisfied by the first beatdown. His brain has come back for revenge on Stinkoman. It's just too bad for him that his weak spot is HUGE; it's his giant bright red medulla.
* Tampo will hover around in the top-right corner in the screen for a little bit. Then he'll drop down lower and fire four glowing balls at you. Three of them go in a group that will sink into the ground nearby and the other one will fly away right above Stinkoman's head. Then he'll go back up to his starting location and shoot four more balls downward in a similar fashion. Then he'll go to the left side of the screen and repeat the attack. Tampo speeds up as he takes more damage.
[[Image:Stinkogame1-End.png|thumb|Level 1 Complete!]]
* You can only hurt him when he comes down low to attack. Jump and shoot. When he's blinking red he's invincible, making you normally only able to hit him once per lowering, but if you time your attacks good enough and if Tampo's going slow because he's not hurt too much, you can hit him twice in a single round.
* To defend from his attacks, run to the middle of the screen after attacking him to fit in the gap in his first spray of glowing balls, then toward him to completely avoid the second spray. It will be difficult at first, but you will get the hang of it soon enough. Then he will switch sides and repeat himself, and so must you. Remember that he gets faster after every hit, so stay on your toes.
** You could also stay in the lower right hand corner, where Tampo never gets to, and lunge out to shoot when Tampo's on the other side of the screen. Seven hits will end the battle.
* Be careful. If you die, you may see no ground due to a glitch.
