== Could I? ==

Is this where I request to do the transcript? [[User:Toonypie|Toonypie]]

I beleive it is. {{User:Crab Attack1999/sig}} 22:00, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
:You can't "request" a transcript. You just have to be lucky and do it before anyone else gets to it. If no one else has gotten to it, just plunk {{t|transcriptinprogress}} down on the appropriate section, and get to work. And ''keep'' working, or you'll lose your right to it. --[[User:DorianGray|DorianGray]] 22:09, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

Okay fine, i'm new at this. You don't have bite my head off (Get on on my case about it, if you don't know the expression). {{User:Crab Attack1999/sig}} 22:30, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
Also, Who's working on the transcript anyway? I know it isn't me. {{User:Crab Attack1999/sig}}

''Nobody edit please :D Doing some homework then finishing.''
Huh? What in the&mdash; You can't do that!... can he? {{User:That_game_dude386/sig}} 00:28, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Agreed. Homework is a good call, but no dibs. Never fear, Toonypie, there'll be more transcripts in the future.
== ????! ==

<s>For the ????! I think he said laditlemen. This is another one of those, uh what's it called? Portmanteau, that's it. It's another portmanteau, because laditlemen is a combanation of "Ladies" and "Gentlemen", but i'm not exact on what he said. But it did sound like he said laditlemen. And if it is, i'd be happy to add it to the portmanteaus page. {{User:Crab Attack1999/sig}} 23:06, 10 November 2009 (UTC)</s>

Once a-craping-gain, nevermind that. But if noone added it to the page, i'll do it. {{User:Crab Attack1999/sig}} 23:08, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

:SUCCESS! Nobody beat me to adding it to portnateaus. So gentlemadies and ladentlemen, none of you have to worry 'bout that. {{User:Crab Attack1999/sig}} 23:20, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{sings}'' Oh email, I'm gonna let you down easy... when I break up with you.

''{reading}''

<blockquote class="email">Hey Strong Bad,<br />
Get Bubs to give out free luncch<br />
specials and I'll show you a hot girl.<br />
<br />
Sincerly,<br />
Someone</blockquote>

''{Strong Bad says "Hmm. Sounds like a solid deal!" after "hot girl." He pronounces "luncch" as "lunkch" and pronounces "sincerly" as written.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Aww, I hate it when they don't put a name. And when they misspell "sincerely." "Luncch" ''{pronounced as before}'' doesn't bother me so much.

''{Strong Bad backspaces and erases the last two lines, then types out two new ones and reads them.}''

<blockquote class="email" style="background-image:none">Keep on tranglin,<br />
Larry Pat</blockquote>

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{Typing}'' Well Larry, legend has it that Bubs has to give you a free lunch special if you can get him to say his name backwards - minus the first b. "Sbu." You have to get him to say, "Sbu." How hard could that be, right? I mean, I'm saying "sbu" all the time. This'll be a cakewalk. At least a sbu-walk.

''{Cut to Bubs' Concession Stand. A sign that reads "Super Chinese Fish Buffalo Rice&mdash;Smoothies Too!" is hanging over the "Bubs' Concession Stand" marquee. Bubs is inside holding a chicken in one arm and wiping it with a cloth. Strong Bad enters.}''

'''BUBS:''' ''{sings}'' Shinin' up a chicken in the mo'nin', mo'nin'...

'''STRONG BAD:''' Hey, Bubs... Read this sign for me. ''{holds up a sign}''

'''BUBS:''' ''{He squints at the sign, then reads slowly.}'' "Duck A L'Orange."

'''STRONG BAD:''' What? ''{He spins the sign around and reads it. Indeed, it says, "Duck A L'Orange." He produces a walkie-talkie.}'' The Cheat, I thought I told you to make it say "sbu"!

''{The screen splits down the center. On the right is Strong Bad. On the left is The Cheat, who also has a walkie talkie and is sitting next to Strong Bad's computer. A piece of paper pinned to the back wall says "Home Base" and has a Strong Badified skull and crossbones drawn on it.}''

'''THE CHEAT:''' ''{assorted The Cheat sounds}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Oh, you really want some duck a l'orange, huh? You know we can't afford to eat like that! ''{He looks to the side, then puts his hand near his mouth to hide his voice.}'' Aren't you a duck anyways?

'''THE CHEAT:''' ''{angry The Cheat sounds}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' I dunno. You kinda remind me of a duck...

''{The screen fades to black. Fade back in to the Concession Stand. Strong Bad enters holding a mirror.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Hey, Bubbsie! Say your name into this mirror. ''{He holds up the mirror.}''

'''BUBS:''' Bubs!

'''STRONG BAD:''' Uh, hold on. ''{He puts the mirror closer to Bubs's face.}'' Okay, say it again. Say it ''real'' clear this time.

'''BUBS:''' ''{slower}'' Buh-ubs.

'''STRONG BAD:''' Oh, this thing is worthless!

''{Strong Bad smashes the mirror on the ground and walks away.}''

''{Fade to black again. Fade back in to the Concession Stand. This time, Coach Z is there ordering something.}''

'''COACH Z:''' Gimme a basket of double hot wings, pants down, a couple of egg rolls... ''{He slams his hands to the countertop and speaks forcefully.}'' ...and a cod plank platter!

'''BUBS:''' You got it!

''{Strong Bad walks up and throws a hose into the stand.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{shouting off to the side}'' All right, The Cheat! Crank it! ''{water starts pouring through the hose}''

'''BUBS:''' ''{annoyed}'' Can I help you?

''{simultaneously}''<br/>
'''COACH Z:''' I think he's flooding you out.<br/>
'''STRONG BAD:''' I'm flooding you out!<br/>
''{They stop and stare at each other.}''

''{simultaneously}''<br/>
'''COACH Z:''' I think he&mdash;<br/>
'''STRONG BAD:''' I'm floo&mdash;<br/>
''{They stop and stare at each other again, and Strong Bad puts his hand in front of Coach Z.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' I'm flooding you out until you say your name backwards minus the first B!

'''BUBS:''' Why are you trying to get me to say "sbu"?

'''STRONG BAD:''' THERE! You said it! Now you gotta give me a free lunch special!

'''BUBS:''' ''{shakes his head}'' No, no, no. Getting me to say my name backwards minus the B just makes me lose my super power!

'''STRONG BAD:''' What super power?

'''BUBS:''' Being able to fly.

'''STRONG BAD:''' You can fly?!

'''BUBS:''' Well... ''{He hangs his head down.}'' Not anymore I can't.

'''STRONG BAD:''' Oh. Right.

'''BUBS:''' Eh, I never really used it all that much. Since I gained all this weight, I could really only hover a couple two or three inches above the ground anyways.

''{Coach Z slams his hands to the countertop and looks around and speaks frantically.}''

'''COACH Z:''' Either of you ladies gonna get me my cod plank platter?!?

''{Back to the computer.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' I'm pretty sure Bubs is a big liar, but I did get him to say his name backwards minus the first B. So now you gotta show me a hot girl, Larry Pat. Or, buy me lunch. Or... whatever the deal was. I'll just go ahead and sit here and wait for the hot girl to appear on my screen, I guess. ''{stops typing, speaks quietly}'' Not like I got a whole lot else going on...mmm.

''{[[The Paper]] comes down. Seven seconds later, the computer beeps and a new e-mail scrolls up.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Ooh, an email!

''{Strong Bad reads the email, talking slowly and pronouncing each word just as it is written.}''

<blockquote class="email">Deur Strond bad,<br />
I hava a emau] n ow. Cheet helps.<br />
<br />
''attachment''</blockquote>

'''STRONG BAD:''' Well, looks like ol' Strong Mad has finally hit the Information Superhighway like a flaming sack o' crap. Oh, and there's an attachment! Maybe he sent me a picture of a hot girl. [[Image:dinosaurbreakfast.PNG|thumb|A fairly hot Brontosaurus.]]

''{Strong Bad double-clicks on the word "attachment" underneath the email. A very poorly drawn picture of a dinosaur standing by a plate of bacon and eggs and a glass of orange juice, all in front of a volcano, pops up.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{monotone}'' An MS Paint drawing of a Brontosaurus having breakfast. ''{ends monotone}'' Well... It's a fairly hot Brontosaurus anyhow! ''{talking softly}'' Well hey, what's happenin' Brontosaurus baby... What are you doing&mdash;Okay I gotta get out of the house!

''{Strong Bad gets up and runs away.}''
::'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{offscreen}'' Oh man, that is so fake. Seriously. You can totally see the strings!

==Fun Facts==
===Explanations===
*The [[Wikipedia:Information superhighway|Information Superhighway]] was a term used to refer to the Internet up until the early 1990s.

===Trivia===
*When The Cheat is next to the Compy 386, it reads:
<blockquote class="email" style="background-image:none">Kickin' Recipes For<br />
Duck A L'Orange<br />
<br />
- 1 orange duck<br />
- 2 oranges<br />
- 3 frenchies<br />
- 4 ovens<br />
- 5 heats<br />
- 6 coupons<br />
<br />
Go to Captain D's<br />
Order the Snow C<br />
Tell your friends<br />
really Duck A L'<br />
It'll work!</blockquote>

===Remarks===
*This is another case of the Compy 386 acquiring a mouse cursor, despite the fact that it does not have a mouse and no cursor is normally seen.
*The Brontosaurus has actually been renamed [[Wikipedia:Apatosaurus|Apatosaurus]].
*Strong Mad's email contains a use of The Cheat's name without the [[integral article]]. However, this is likely due to Strong Mad's poor grammar skills.

===Goofs===
*The MS Paint drawing of a Brontosaurus eating breakfast is not affected by the contrast buttons. However, the screen behind it is.
*When Strong Bad angrily throws the mirror at the ground, Bubs's reflection can still be seen in the mirror, but with no body.
*The hose's shadow in the "floating" Easter egg does not expand when the hose expands.
*When Bubs is holding the notepad (taking Coach Z's order), the paper folded to the back is from behind the rest of pages instead of in front of them.
*When Strong Bad is holding the mirror, it shows the sky behind Bubs in the reflection,yet the background really should be bricks.
*The author of the email seems to be referring to the lunch specials at the end of [[no loafing]].
*The [[Cold One]] that The Cheat is lounging with in the Easter egg is a Coldson Lite, first seen in [[labor day]].
*This e-mail marks the second time The Cheat has been mistaken for a bird of some kind, the other being in [[helium]], in which Homestar identified the floating, helium-filled The Cheat as "an ugly bird."
*In [[big white face]], the runcode for the pixelated Bubs image Strong Bad brings up is "Bu-Hubs", which is how Bubs "clearly pronounces" his name in this email.
*This is another appearance of [[flying]].
*Coach Z orders his double hot wings [[pants]] down.
===Real-World References===
*The "Larry, legend" Easter egg refers to [[Wikipedia:Larry Bird|Larry Bird]], a former player for the [[Wikipedia:Boston Celtics|Boston Celtics]]. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest [[Wikipedia:NBA|NBA]] players ever and is often referred to as "Larry Legend" by his fans.
*Getting Bubs to say his name backwards (minus the first 'B') sounds like a spoof of [[Wikipedia:Mr. Mxyzptlk|Mr. Mxyzptlk]], a mischief-making villain from the Superman comics. In order to get the reality-warping imp to go back to his home dimension, Superman had to trick Mxyzptlk into saying his name backwards.
*The [[Wikipedia:walkie-talkie|walkie-talkies]] used by Strong Bad and The Cheat are World War II portable radios.
*In [[the facts]], Strong Mad shows his love for [[dinosaurs]] again through [[Doug the Dino]].
*In [[Strongest Man in the World]], the picture Strong Bad gives Homestar is signed at first as "Strond Ba...", almost the same as Strong Mad's email.
'''MIKE:''' Sound three!

''{Mike starts to say "Sound four" and laughs}''

'''MATT:''' All right, guys.

'''RYAN:''' I think we're ready.

'''MATT:''' um, what do you guys think of this proposition&mdash;

'''MIKE:''' Matt and I made this email, guys. Matt and I made this cartoon. What do you think?

'''RYAN:''' I think you guys are...you got something.

''{Mike laughs}''

'''RYAN:''' I'm not afraid to say that you guys are very good.

''{Mike laughs again}''

'''RYAN:''' Keep on "keepin' on". Keep on.

'''MIKE:''' Keepin' on? Keep on.

'''RYAN:''' That was a ''Family Ties'' slogan.

'''MIKE:''' Really?

'''RYAN:''' They had like&mdash;

'''MIKE:''' Really? Nice.

'''RYAN:''' ''Nick At Night'' showed a bunch in a row.

'''MIKE:''' Oh.

'''RYAN:''' And all the commercials are "keep on keepin' on"

''{Mike and Matt laugh}''

'''MATT:''' That's a good one.

'''MIKE:''' I was gonna be impressed if they had done that back in [[1987]] or something.

'''MATT:''' Yeah.

'''MATT:''' Oh it was on retro stuff or retrothon like that.

'''RYAN:''' Yeah.

'''MATT:''' Oh so super Chinese&mdash;

'''MIKE:''' super Chinese fish buffalo rice is pretty much...There was a place by the Braves Stadium that we were driving by one time. And there are several restaurants around Atlanta that are&mdash;

'''MATT:''' It's a trend, I think, in all metro areas.

'''MIKE:''' &mdash;like buffalo wings. Chinese food and&mdash;

'''MATT:''' there's one that was called "Philly", "Philly...", "Philly...wing", "Philly wing rice". "Philly wing fish" I think, and underneath it said it says "Chinese food".

''{Mike laughs}''

'''MATT:''' So, yeah, we were missing "Philly cheese steaks" because that seems to be...that seems to be a part. It's just wings, Chinese food, Philly cheese steaks, fish, fried fish, rice.

'''MIKE:''' Sign me up&mdash;

'''RYAN:''' Fried chicken.

'''MATT:''' Yeah.

'''MIKE:''' Sign me up.

'''MATT:''' I'm in.

'''RYAN:''' What's not to trust about it?

'''MATT:''' Exactly.

'''RYAN:''' I bet there's a gravy that you can get to put over all of it.

'''MIKE:''' MMMmmm.

'''MATT:''' That sounds good. Gravy?

'''RYAN:''' Cod plank platter&mdash;

'''MATT:''' Let's go for lunch today, guys. We haven't had lunch today yet. Let's go get a cod plank platter

'''RYAN:''' What is a cod plank platter? I had to ask&mdash;

'''MATT:''' ''{different voice}'' Back to Red Lobster, boys.

''{Everyone laughs}''

'''MATT:''' Red Lobster Friday!

'''RYAN:''' Uh&mdash;

'''MATT:''' Uh, so were you gonna comment on how great that uh, hose thing towards the camera was, Mike?

'''MIKE:''' Yes.

'''RYAN:''' I like it.

'''MIKE:''' I was gonna wonder about how long you spent&mdash;

'''MATT:''' Probably two to three hours while you finished the rest of the email&mdash;

'''RYAN:''' Yeah, this is the point of contention that whenever Matt leaves the room, Mike always complains about how, how detailed the animations are.

'''MIKE:''' It's good&mdash;

'''MATT:''' We're trying to finish. It's three in the morning. Isn't that good?

'''MIKE:''' It is good.

'''RYAN:''' Quality artwork.

'''MIKE:''' It's good ''now''.

'''RYAN:''' yeah. It's not good&mdash;

'''MIKE:''' At four in the morning on Sunday. I'd rather you make a really crappy&mdash;looking hose. ''{laughs}''. Oh, by the way, this one&mdash; it's not gonna be on the commentary, but the Easter egg on this one where it shows The Cheat floating inside&mdash;

'''MATT:''' Uh huh.

'''MIKE:''' right, Bubs' Concession Stand on the inner tube. That is, by far, my favorite Easter egg or just scene that still just looks like&mdash; nice ripples.

'''MATT:''' It's your fine&mdash;

'''MIKE:''' It's so relaxing.

'''MATT:''' It's your finest moment. It's almost as relaxing as, yeah, as&mdash;

'''MATT AND MIKE:''' Taking a break.

'''MIKE:''' Awww, that makes me depressed for Strong Bad.

'''MIKE:''' ''{quickly}'' and me.

''{pause}''

'''RYAN:''' And me?

'''MIKE:''' ''{laughs}'' We still going here? ''{cough}''

'''RYAN:''' This might be a delayed&mdash;

'''MATT AND MIKE:''' oh, look at that!

'''MATT:''' This is that one where we've got this whole part where it's Stlong Mad&mdash;

'''MIKE:''' The Uh...

'''RYAN:''' Great MS Paint drawing.

'''MIKE:''' &mdash;Dinosaur. I wanted to keep doing this, like have, you know, weekly or semi&mdash;weekly feature of Strong Mad's bad MS Paint drawings.

'''RYAN:''' You got a lot of images we could put on there. Isn't that on the DVD, where there was extra emails? This is from that.

'''MATT:''' Yeah, here it is. Here's 102B. ''{laugh}'' Look at that thing! That thing's amazing.

'''RYAN:''' People have their own versions of that drawing.

'''MATT AND MIKE:''' Really?

'''RYAN:''' Uh huh.

'''MIKE:''' People still use MS Paint.

'''RYAN:''' A lot.

'''MATT:''' and see this is even more depressing. Strong Bad starts hitting on that MS Paint Brontosaurus

'''MIKE:''' Good lookin'

'''MATT:''' A low point for Strong Bad&mdash;

'''RYAN:''' &mdash;Is that OJ?

'''MATT:''' So he runs off.

'''RYAN:''' Yeah.

== commentaries? ==

Anyone that has this DVD, are there commentaries (new or old?) {{User:Wbwolf/sig}} 22:41, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
:Somebody, please answer this! [[User:Omnisweater|Omnisweater]] 01:30, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
:Yes, there is. Every e-mail has commentary, and all of the ones that had commentary on the old dvds have the same commentary, and the ones that didn't were given new commentary. [[User:TheTylor|TheTylor]] 19:46, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

== sbemail 200 ==

I just thought it was interesting that all of the rollover easter eggs at the end of [[email thunder]] are sbemails that made it onto the 50 Greatest Hits DVD, except for [[homsar]] and [[ghosts]]. Not interesting enough for a fun fact or remark on the page though, so I just thought I'd paste it here. [[User:TheTylor|TheTylor]] 19:53, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
:That's cool, but since two of the emails did not make it, you're right, it's definitely not notable. {{User:Homestar-winner/sig}} 22:36, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

== Clumsyman ==

Just out of curiosity, where does the name "Clumsyman" come from? Was that coined by a user here, or is there an "official" name for him? I have no problem with the name, Just curious. --[[User:TimMierz|TimMierz]] 15:00, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
:I think its a generic name given to the characters in those shameless commercials by the producers as they do not have a name. Just as a sidenote, see how that lady at the start of the GoDuster commercials (this may just be in Australia) always drops the hundreds of different dusters noone has? {{User:Jagger88/sig}} 08:28, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

== Jacket Picture? ==

Do this DVD also have a jacket picture? Is it the same as [[:Image:DVD5Pausescreen.png|DVD 5 & 6]]? {{User:Wbwolf/sig}} 19:25, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

== Fan favorites? ==

While the emails seem well-chosen in my book, I'm curious about how emails came to be selected as "fan favorites." Page views on the site? Voting on a fan website? Seems like a good fact to include if anyone knows the answer.
'''MARZIPAN:''' Listen out, Life Blossoms! Today, for Career Day, we have a very special visitor.

''{Scene cuts to the 'Life Blossoms': Homestar, Strong Mad and Homsar.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Is it that social worker again?

'''MARZIPAN:''' No, no! That's all taken care of! The charges were dropped! Anyway, please welcome the Strong Badian Administration of Some Aluminum Foil's own Space Captainface!

''{Strong Bad, dressed as Space Captainface, approaches a screen and cheers for himself.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Great Planets, kids! Your frumpy schoolmarm, here, has asked me to talk to you today about&mdash;

'''MARZIPAN:''' I didn't ask you! You paid ''me'' to let ''you'' talk.

'''STRONG BAD:''' Shut up. &mdash;talk to you today about an exciting career in... ''{dramatically, zooms out to reveal a floor-mounted fan, which is blowing his cape back}'' SPACE TRAVEL!

'''STRONG MAD''': BOOR-ING!

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Did you bring us any candy, police-fire-man?

'''HOMSAR:''' You bring the dip, I'll mow the side yard!

'''STRONG BAD:''' And now, without further you talking, some moving images to distract you long enough for your teacher to take a nap, drink, or smoke-break.

''{Movie Projector begins rolling, partially overlapping Strong Bad, who moves out of the way. Closeup onto film. It shows a title frame reading "SBASAF Propaganda Presents"}''

'''ANNOUNCER:''' SBASAF Propaganda presents&mdash;

''{The film jump-cuts to a similar title screen, only with "Indoctrination Films" in place of "Propaganda".}''

'''ANNOUNCER:''' &mdash;ASAF Indoctrination Films proudly&mdash;

''{The film jump-cuts again. "Indoctrination" has been replaced with "Mind-Control".}''

'''ANNOUNCER:''' &mdash;AF Mind Control Films&mdash;

''{Another jump-cut, and now "Mind-Control" has been replaced by "Edumacational". For the rest of the toon, the announcer's voice sounds a little different.}''

'''ANNOUNCER:''' &mdash;SBASAF Edumacational Films presents: What's your Captainface?

''{Title appears, and a stylized cartoony-looking image of Strong Bad's head as Space Captainface flops onto it and pushes the letters aside. Cut to a line drawing of a large-headed child.}''

'''ANNOUNCER:''' Kids, have you ever wondered who that mysterious man in the picture you mother hides under her pillow is?

''{The child imagines the picture being hidden under his mother's pillow. He smiles expectantly, but then frowns as the announcer continues.}''

'''ANNOUNCER:''' Noooo-hohohohooo, it's not your real father!

''{Strong Bad, still stylized, walks behind the child. As the child is not colored in, he appears through the lines. He bumps the child offscreen.}''

'''ANNOUNCER:''' Why, it's SBASAF's First Lieuteneral Space Captainface! But what IS a Space Captainface? And what does it do? Mmm, ''{record scratch}'' let me get back to you on that one.

''{Change of scene to a launch pad with a rocket next to a gantry}''

'''ANNOUNCER:''' Blast-off Day. ''{the words appear in the lower part of the screen}'' And Space Captainface anxiously awaits the all-clear from Mission Control, along with his trusty on-board mechanic and college roommate, Strap Coopmore!

''{Scene changes to the inside of the rocket, where Space Captainface and Strap Coopmore (played by a stylized The Cheat) are sitting facing upward. In the upper corner near Strap, there is a red button labeled "button"}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Great Planets, Strap! What's taking so long? That spy satellite the insidious Italian Space Program put into orbit ain't gonna knock itself out!

''{Static noise; a green glow appears from the panel near Strong Bad's hands.}

'''TED AVERILL:''' Come in, Space Captainface. This is Mission Control. ''{cut to outside of rocket panning upward from the ground}'' Space Captainface, do you read?

'''STRONG BAD:''' Uh, yeah. ''{cut back to inside the rocket}'' I've been talking to you all ding-dang-dong morning, Flight Engineer Ted Averill ''{pronounces name as one word}''! What's the hold-up?

''{Cut to a close-up of the lower part of Ted Averill's face with monitors and buttons behind it}''

''{Cut back to inside the rocket}''

'''TED AVERILL:''' ''{over the radio}'' followed by... ''{his words are covered by Strong Bad's interruption}''
'''TED AVERILL:''' ''{continuing from before; as he speaks, the gantry completely falls over on his monitor}''&mdash;agreed on the design for the back of the official mission T-shirts w&mdash;oh, mostly dang.
'''ANNOUNCER:''' Breaking the rules ''{the words appear at the top of the screen}'' is just one of Space Captainface's ''{the rocket enters from the bottom of the screen and proceeds to the top}'' many job responsibilities. And let's not forget bucking the system, ''{the words appear below "Breaking the rules"}'', rabble-rousing ''{the words appear below "Bucking the system"}'' and assaulting superior officers. ''{the words appear below "Rabble-rousing". The rocket, now more distant, enters from the left and exits above.}''

''{Cut to a scene in space with Earth below (the United States is visible in the middle of the ocean) and a satellite floating close to the camera}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Whoa, nice one, Strap!

''{Cut to the inside of the rocket, where Strong Bad and the Cheat are now floating; there is also a brown blob of puke with green and orange specks. The Cheat is somewhat green in color and is otherwise visibly nauseated.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' That one looks like the MacAlpine Nebula! ''{a red light in the corner flashes and a siren sounds}'' Great Planets! We must be approaching the spy satellite. Suit up, Strap. ''{fade out}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Space downs!

''{Cut to a closeup of the Italian flag on the satellite.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' They have a spy camera pointing directly at Strong Badia. ''{A round section of the Italian flag peels away to reveal a camera whose lens shows a reflection of Strong Badia.}''
'''STRONG BAD:''' Ready with the counter-intelligence. ''{Gets out a photograph. Cut to a close-up of the photograph, which has a smiley face sticking out its tongue and the words "oh, just nothing" scrawled on it.}''

''{Cut back to the camera; Strong Bad sticks the photo onto its lens. Cut to a view of Strong Bad floating forwards and away from the satellite.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Those superior bicycle makers will never find out our cheat codes and barbecue sauce recipes now, Strap! ''{looks to the side}'' Strap?

'''STRONG BAD:''' Strap!

''{Cut to a view of Strong Bad's suit again; "the end" is written in his helmet.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{laughs as film ends}''

'''MARIZPAN:''' ''{moves in front of the projector, annoyed}'' Homestar, is there something you'd like to add?

''{Cut to a close-up of Homestar.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Umm, teacher, if spaceman makes bafroom in his pants, ''{zoom out to view all the Life Blossoms}'' does he go boom? ''{Homestar, Strong Mad and Homsar laugh.}''

''{Cut to Strong Bad}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Shut up, you little worse-than-homeschoolers! Show some respect! What kind of question is that to ask a Strong Badian hero? ''{zoom in on Strong Bad's head}'' Spaceman make bafroom in his pants ''{covers his mouth as he starts to laugh on the last word, he continues laughing from this point on}'' does he go boom? Actually, a pretty funny question, now that I think about it at length.

''{Cut back to the life blossoms, still laughing.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' I've often wondered myself what&mdash;what would happen if I was ''{cut back to Strong Bad}'' to make bafroom ''{laughs harder}'' in my pants! I might go boom!

''{Cut back to the diagram of Strong Bad's suit; this time it says "boom" in his helmet.}''
*Space Captainface's catch phrase "Great planets!" was first heard in [[Space Program Alternate Take]].
*Strong Bad's remark that the teacher can get a nap, drink, or smoke break echoes a line from [[Commandos in the Classroom]], which encourages the teacher to take a nap or smoke during the video, as well as an additional line at the very end to both "allow ten to fifteen more minutes of peace" and "fix a drink, maybe".
Strong Bad Email Statistics

JamesLucas: /* Strong Bad Email length */ grammar correction

[[Image:NoLoafingPieChart.png|thumb|No Loafing!]]

With more and more [[Strong Bad Email|Strong Bad Emails]] released on [[homestarrunner.com]], it is hard to keep track of all the '''statistics''', such as which computer was used the most, or how the length of emails has increased throughout the years. To correctly calculate those numbers, a few charts and graphs have been made for the ease of the people who like to know ''everything'' about [[Strong Bad]] and his emails.

==Strong Bad Email length==
This section involves data taken from the list [[Strong Bad Email By Length]].
[[Image:SBEScatter.png|thumb|200px|left|A scatter plot of chronological number vs. length, with outliers.]]
[[Image:SBEScatter2.png|thumb|200px|right|A scatter plot of chronological number vs. length, without outliers.]]

The scatter plot to the left illustrates the relationship between the e-mail number and its corresponding length (the red plots for the original length, and the black plots including the Easter Eggs). This can be mathematically modeled using a power regression curve, which allows us to measure the trend for e-mail duration as well as predict the ongoing trend for future e-mails. The ''R&sup2;'' value for these curves identifies how strong this relationship is (how close the points are to the model): a value of 1 means that the model and the data is identical, while a -1 means that the model does not relate to the data at all. The equation for the black curve is y = 0.0002513x0.4746 and the equation for the red curve is y = 0.0002467x0.4593.

There are certain e-mails, however, whose lengths were much longer than the e-mails surrounding them, called ''outliers''. These e-mails can affect the accuracy of the model and, if removed, can allow for greater accuracy. The graph on the right has the outliers removed, which subsequently improves the ''R&sup2;'' value for the curves. The black curve's equation becomes y = 0.0002512x0.4717 and the red equation becomes y = 0.0002466x0.4565. Of course, it should be noted that these models are by no means a guaranteed guess; e-mail 500, for example, is unlikely to be over six and a half minutes long, as this model predicts.

In the email [[theme song]], Strong Bad tells his viewers that each email is about 3 to 5 minutes long. Approximately 51% of all e-mails released as of [[being mean]] fall in this range.

==Strong Bad Email by era==
[[Image:bar_graph_by_length.PNG|thumb|200px|left|"The newer, the longer"]]
[[Image:pie_graph_by_era.PNG|thumb|200px|right|The [[Compy 386]] has thus far been the longest era.]]

This section involves data on the computer used to answer each email, or the "era" of the computer. The categories are [[Tandy 400]], Broken Tandy, [[Compy 386]], [[Lappy 486]], and Other ([[Pom Pilot]], [[Tangerine Dreams]], and [[Corpy NT6]].)

{{clear}}

==Total time spent using each computer==
[[Image:Sbemails total length per computer.png|computer|thumb|250px|left|Total length of Strong Bad Emails per computer]]

This section involves data taken from the Strong Bad Email by Length page. The chart recognizes four categories of computers: Tandy 400 (includes Broken Tandy), Lappy 486, Compy 386, and Other.

{{clear}}

==Strong Bad Emails featuring more than one email==
Several Strong Bad Emails feature more than one email.
* [[credit card]] &mdash; After checking his email, Strong Bad sends an email to, and gets a reply from, [[Homestar Runner]].
* [[spring cleaning]] &mdash; Strong Bad checks five emails and promptly deletes each one.
* [[strongbad_email.exe]] Bonus Email #2 [[E-mail Birds]] &mdash; Strong Bad answers three emails on the [[Tandy 400|Tandy]].
* [[sisters]] &mdash; Strong Bad accidently deletes the first email he gets and later receives a [[Poorly Written Emails|poorly written one]].
* [[50 emails]] &mdash; Strong Bad checks two emails (and begins to check another before [[Homestar Runner]] arrives and "answers" another two).
* [[huttah!]] &mdash; The first five emails Strong Bad checks all show particular interest in [[The Cheat]] (he deletes them). The last two are all directed to Strong Bad, but he attempts to fool The Cheat into thinking they're for him.
* [[personal favorites]] &mdash; In addition to the main email, Strong Bad is seen answering 4 emails in fake flashbacks (two in the main toon, two in Easter eggs).
* [[2 emails]] &mdash; Jimmy suggests Strong Bad check two emails a week and he does. He can also be seen checking a third email during the fast-forwarding.
* [[lunch special]] &mdash; After checking his email, Strong Bad receives another one from [[Strong Mad]].
* [[cheatday]] &mdash; After Strong Bad checks his email, he lets The Cheat check another three emails.
* [[other days]] &mdash; In addition to the main email, Strong Bad answers a Polish email (and a snail mail).
* [[dreamail]] &mdash; Strong Bad makes up an additional email and answers it.
* [[do over]] &mdash; Strong Bad re-answers two old emails.
* [[bottom 10]] &mdash; Strong Bad receives an email with large numbers of "Fwd:" and "Re:" in the subject line, as an example of #8 on his bottom 10.
* [[lady...ing]] &mdash; Strong Bad remembers an older email.
* [[theme song]] &mdash; Strong Bad can be seen answering an email in one of the theme song montages.
* [[retirement]] &mdash; Strong Bad answers an email on each of his first two computers.
* [[the chair]] &mdash; Strong Bad answers a second email, but his [[Le Restige|new chair]] obstructs almost the entire screen of the [[Lappy 486|Lappy]] while he does so.

==Intervals between Strong Bad Emails==
[[Image:sb_email_frequency.png|thumb|200px|right|A column graph showing the intervals between Strong Bad Emails.]]

Strong Bad Emails are released at varying frequencies. The graph on the right shows the number of days in between the release of an email.
Here is a summary of the data:
* Mean: 11.45 days
* Median: 7 days
* Mode: 7 days &mdash; 69 emails came out 7 days after the previous release
* Minimum: 1 day &mdash; There was 1 day between the releases of [[retirement|retirement A]] and [[retirement|retirement B]].
* Maximum: 71 days &mdash; There were 71 days between the releases of [[halloweener]] and [[brianrietta]]

''Note: Data are not complete. Reliable dates are not available for [[homsar]], [[butt IQ]], [[homestar hair]], [[making out]], and [[depressio]]. These data are as of October 4, 2006.

==Other information==
*41% of all emails have no location given; 2% have no return sender at all.
*The average email is 1.81 sentences long; the average cartoon is 152.82 seconds long.
*[[The Brothers Chaps]] most frequently choose emails with sender names starting with J or S. Together these senders make up a whopping 26.75% of all emails. This may be an indicator of popular names in the world, not an indication of TBC preference.
*Only 18% of all emails are longer than two sentences. Only one email longer than four sentences has ever been used.
* There are eight substantiated claims of Strong Bad answering an email from a HRWiki or HRWiki forum user. These emails are [[montage]] (sent by [[User:Porplemontage|Porplemontage]]), [[animal]] (sent by [[User:Kerrek slaya|Kerrek slaya]]), [[portrait]] (sent by [[User:NachoMan|NachoMan]]), [[space program]] (sent by <span class="plainlinks">[http://forum.hrwiki.org/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=2807 Ryan Sturmer]</span>), [[cliffhangers]] (sent by [[User:Cessna Man!|Cessna Man!]]), [[underlings]] (sent by [[User:PlasticDiverGuy|PlasticDiverGuy]]), [[the paper]] (sent by [[User:Thewi2kbug|Thewi2kbug]]), and [[slumber party]] (sent by [[User:ThomasO|ThomasO]]).
== Transcript ==
Hey guys...should we ''really'' put the transcript out here? Couldn't we make a page that's just like "Homestar Ruiner Gameplay Video Transcript" or something less long. Or, when it comes out, are we just going to leave the transcript there? Won't we put something more related to the actual episode itself instead of the Gameplay trailer? {{User:DevonM/sig}} 03:03, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

:I think it's okay for now. But as you point out, when the game is released, the gameplay trailer transcript will not be relevant in this format, either on this page or on its own page.

:At some point, we need to figure out if/how we're going to transcribe all the dialogue from the game. But that wouldn't go on this page, after the episode comes out, this page will be more of an overview, like the [[Peasant's Quest]] and [[Thy Dungeonman III]] pages are. {{User:Trey56/sig}} 03:29, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
::Since the game itself will have multiple branches, a transcript of any type won't make sense. I can see being done with this game (along with the others in the series), where certain set pieces are transcribed (for example, Homestar Ruiner is suppose to open with Strong Bad singing and going around the house) like [[Stinkoman 20X6]]. Beyond that. the best we could do would be a walkthrough or hints on triggering Easter eggs. However, since things like the trailer/preview are fixed, a transcript of those makes sense. {{User:Wbwolf/sig}} 04:47, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
:::By the way, if you want to contribute to the discussion over what to transcribe and how to do it, I raised this issue on [[Talk:Strong Bad%27s Cool Game for Attractive People#Legal Rampage Issue|this talk page]]. {{User:The Chort/sig}} 16:34, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Related topic: As part of the announcement on the [http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-344 Telltale Blogs], it was mentioned that a second gameplay trailer was coming out in the near future, and part of it was featured in the "On The Spot" episode. (It focuses on Strong Bad talking to Marzipan at the party, and then shows some additional activities that Strong Bad can do.) I suspect, that since this is the first episode of a new series, there might be multiple transcripts for this episode. Any thoughts on how to incorporate those into this page specifically? {{User:Wbwolf/sig}} 03:13, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Reopening topic- In the interim I've played two Sam & Max games (Abe Lincoln Must Die! and Ice Station Santa), and I've found the way that Telltale handles the [http://www.telltalegames.com/samandmax/icestationsanta Walkthrough and Did You Try? sections] especially to be good models on how we want to model how we handle the game pages. Like [[Stinkoman 20X6]], it might be necessary to subdivide that page, but Walkthrough for the main plot, and then hints for eggs or side question locations (such as manual pages, costumes, index cards, etc.) would be the way to go. {{User:Wbwolf/sig}} 22:30, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
:(Try again) Looking over the new [http://www.telltalegames.com/strongbad/homestarruiner Homestar Ruiner] page, it looks like they will do the same thing as they do with the Sam & Max games: providing a walkthrough and hints on things to try for Easter eggs or funny responses. Obviously, we should link to these official walkthroughs, rather than reinventing the wheel. So, what should this page be reserved for? My thought is to have it focus on transcripts (trailers and set pieces), as well as documenting Fun Facts. {{User:Wbwolf/sig}} 21:58, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
I think the best thing to do is to include one transcript for each place he visits. {{User:Bad Bad Guy/sig}} 22:55, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
: ''IF'' we transcribe every line, I agree with this. --{{User:Jay/sig}} 00:08, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
::Given the amount of dialogue in this game, both obvious and really, really obscure, that sounds like potentially risking death by transcription. Personally, a quick and brief summary of the events in the game (and not specifically how to finish it, like the walkthrough) would be more than sufficient. Kind of like what you'd get on Wikipedia, except seeing as we're NOT Wikipedia, we can go just a smidgen more in-depth with it. --[[User:Shadow Hog|Shadow Hog]] 04:26, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Okay, the first episode's out and this article needs to be revolutionised. Here's all the stuff we need to do, or at least, consider:
*List all the Easter Eggs and other secrets.
*Record all the Fun Facts, including Trivia, Remarks, Goofs, Glitches, Inside References and Real-World References. If these lists get too long, we can create individual articles for each section, a la [[Stinkoman 20X6]].
*Write a walkthrough. One section can tell you how to blast through the game, other sections can detail how to get 100% ranking.
*Discuss what to do with the transcripts of the two promotional trailers. I propose creating a new article and moving all relevant information there. Unless we...
*Consider whether to transcribe the ENTIRE game?
All these issues are discussed [[Talk:Homestar Ruiner#Transcript|here]], [[Talk:Homestar Ruiner#Walkthrough|there]] and [[Talk:Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People#Legal Rampage Issue|also here]]. Oh, and I won't be able to do any of this until I get my own laptop or we connect the Wii via our broadband connection. And until I'm allowed to buy/download stuff off the Internet. I just wanted to organise all our ideas for you. :) {{User:The Chort/sig}} 11:58, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
:At the very least, if it hasn't been done already, we should list the cast members who appear in this episode and update their respective filmographies accordingly. :I've found a secret shirt that you can't put in your wardrobe by going in the photo booth, jumping off at the right 3 times till you land underneath the floor, and going as far back as you can below the entrance. == Do mentions belong in other relavent articles? ==
So, is it our intent to put all references and fun facts from the game on this page exclusively, or should we mention them in the relevant articles also? As an example, one of Homestar's random ramblings is an instance of the oft-mentioned letter [[G]]. Should it be noted on that page as well as here? {{User:GreenHelmet/sig}} 15:43, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

== Responses ==

If we do Responses pages, I recommend having a main [[Homestar Ruiner Responses|responses]] page and breaking the actual (non-generic) responses into the following:

*[[Homestar Ruiner Responses (House of Strong)]]
*[[Homestar Ruiner Responses (Marzipan's House)]]
*[[Homestar Ruiner Responses (Track)]] (Or whatever it's called in-game; I forget)
*[[Homestar Ruiner Responses (The King of Town's Castle)]]

And either we can have [[Homestar Ruiner Responses (The Field)]] or six separate ones for the different places within The Field... not that the distinction between borders is necessarily obvious (and most places within The Field don't have much - take The Stick, for instance. Only a few objects there at all.)

If we do this, it'll be a massive undertaking; even though the game is fairly short for a game, it's still longer than any H*R cartoon ever and has lots of hidden dialogue.

Anyone else have anything to add? Since discussion in the past has been scattered, let's try to keep discussion on Responses in one place (here) until we decide whether or not we'll even do them in the first place. --{{User:Jay/sig}} 20:38, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
:That sounds good. It will be a daunting feat, especially since we have to do it 5 times, but I'm up for it. {{User:ThePizz/sig}} 20:43, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
::We went ahead and did every Peasant's Quest response. How hard can Homestar Ruiner be? {{User:Superfield Credit Union/sig}}
::: BTW, though I'm not expecting it to be an easy task, I am for a series of Responses pages assuming that there's no legal problem (my understanding is that there is not, but of course we must honor a Cease and Desist request should TBC issue one out.) --{{User:Jay/sig}} 22:55, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
I think we only need 1 article (this one) for responses relevant to the plot and 1 article for all the extra stuff such as digging, commenting, insulting, etc. {{User:Bad Bad Guy/sig}} 02:18, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
:I think one page is enough too &mdash; although I think it should be [[Homestar Ruiner Responses|responses]], and not this article &mdash; organized into sections as proposed above. At least to start... even having played the game through, it's hard for me to visualize how much space they'll take. We can always split the sections off into pages if it turns out they are too much.
:There is also the issue of dividing responses into game phases, in some cases the responses change after certain milestones are reached, but in many cases they do not. It will probably work to note these cases in as sub-sub-section's. {{User:GreenHelmet/sig}} 14:13, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
::There are way more responses in this game than, say, Thy Dungeonman or Peasant's Quest. Those Responses pages are already extremely long pages. There are some generic responses (generally, using items on Strong Bad, or Strong Bad refusing to use items on certain objects) but most of them are NOT generic. I think the split will be necessary to keep things tidy. --{{User:Jay/sig}} 16:07, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
:::That's true, and as an added bonus, seperation will ease multiple editors working on the project. I think that ''The Field'' should be a single page, because as stated above so many of the areas only contain a single object to interact with.
:::I haven't seen anyone raise any objection to this project (barring of course a request from either TBC or Telltale) &mdash; would it be too soon to move forward? I propose as an initial step, (if it's not jumping the gun to do so today), article stubs with the appropriate headings be created and editors can use <nowiki>{{inprogress}}</nowiki> to "sign-up" for a specifc area to avoid duplicated effort. I'd be interested in digging into a section starting a few hours from now &mdash; but if we should wait another day or so for comments that's fine too. {{User:GreenHelmet/sig}}
::::Actually, I'll start a stub for the generic responses page now. I won't add any responses just yet (nowhere near my Wii right now). Then everyone else can have at it. --{{User:Jay/sig}} 18:52, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
== HOMSETAR ==

Goofs * At the non-garden party, the rollover for Marzipan and Homestar is spelled "MARZIPAN & HOMSETAR".

Um, I think that was intentional; remember? Marzipan kept forgetting Homestar's name, even called him "Homsar."
:It would be intentional if Marzipan had said "HOMSETAR", but it's on the rollover tooltip, and is thus much more likely to be a spelling mistake than intentional. --{{User:Venusy/Sig}} 13:24, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
::I saw this as strange, too. I think if TBC were animating this, there are many instances where her mouth would be facing the other direction, but it's TTG doing it. I think it might be fair to call it a goof by TTG, for not being true to TBC's style.
:I doubt it, in the Metal Gear games, it's Snake who has the exclamation point on his head, not the person who saw him. Plus, the Poopsmith also uses a sign that says "Not you again!" [[User:CloneWarrior|CloneWarrior]] 14:45, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
== Number of pages ==

Basically, we need to figure out how many pages we need to make for this game. I'm thinking:
:A walkthrough page
:A page for all the collectibles (Manual Pages, TGS Ideas, Clothing and Trophies)
:Seperate transcript articles for the House of Strong, the Track, Marzipan's House, the KoT's Castle, and the Field (all six parts in one article)
This makes 10 articles including the main page, the Snake Boxer 5 page and the TGS page. [[User:CloneWarrior|CloneWarrior]] 14:59, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Actually, we could just link Telltale's Walkthrough and Extended play Page from this page. Less work for us. ^_^
:TellTale's extended play section doesn't have where to get all of the collectibles like the TGS cards, Snake Boxer pages, and Coach Z trophies though. {{User:Acam30/sig}} 18:09, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
: [Edit conflict] And we could link to GameFAQs instead of having Peasant's Quest and Thy Dungeonman walkthroughs. I think it's a bad idea though. --{{User:Jay/sig}} 18:09, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
::I wouldn't mind seeing the transcripts for the game preview videos moved off this page. {{User:GreenHelmet/sig}} 21:22, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
:::Moving the preview transcripts seems like a good first step to bring this article into alignment with ''Peasant's Quest'' game/trailer. My feeling that ''At the track'' is "the" trailer, and ''Around the field'' was made to, um, stall for more time. I guess we'll know if there're two trailers for SBTF. If that's the case, I think they'll need to be treated differently; essentially ''Around the field'' would be non-episode-specific, like the three-second "Actual Gameplay Footage" bit.

The user name users choose for themselves is no longer set in stone. On request, [[HRWiki:Bureaucrats|bureaucrats]] can change user account settings and article histories such that all previous edits of a given user are attributed to the new name using [[Special:Renameuser]]. Note: You must make the request from the account you want renamed; anonymous requests (except users whose usernames begin with a lowercase letter and therefore cannot log in) are ignored for security reasons.
==Requesting a change==

To change your user name, please make your request on this page. Please follow the procedure carefully or your request will not be fulfilled.

===Instructions===

#Check if the new name you want does not exist ([[Special:Listusers]]). '''Do not create an account under the new name'''. ''<small>(If you already created the new account, don't worry. We can do some stuff and fix it, but it's still recommended that you don't.)</small>''
#Sign in with the account that you want renamed.
#:''Of course, this is not possible if your account has a lowercase first letter. If you can't log in, then skip this step.''
#Add your request to the bottom of the section below. Use the following template: <code><nowiki>{{renameuser|Old username|New username}}</nowiki></code><!--
#If you are a sysop, please note this fact with your request so that the necessary changes can be made.-->
#Once your request is dealt with, all edits from your old account will be reattributed to your new account.<!--
#You should check that the old account has been recreated and blocked to prevent someone else creating the account and impersonating you.
#:''This cannot be done in the case of usernames with a lowercase first letter, but they can no longer be registered so this isn't a problem.''-->
#Move and redirect your user page and talk page to the new name if it has not already been done.

JamesLucas:

The user name users choose for themselves is no longer set in stone. On request, [[HRWiki:Bureaucrats|bureaucrats]] can change user account settings and article histories such that all previous edits of a given user are attributed to the new name using [[Special:Renameuser]]. Note: You must make the request from the account you want renamed; anonymous requests (except users whose usernames begin with a lowercase letter and therefore cannot log in) are ignored for security reasons.
==Requesting a change==

To change your user name, please make your request on this page. Please follow the procedure carefully or your request will not be fulfilled.

===Instructions===

==Current requests==
You use another name elsewhere and its the name you prefer. And you've been sitting on it for three months, so if the change is made I don't really see you changing your mind and wishing you hadn't gone through with it. == Problem with Colors ==
Ok, I got most of the color working, but now i have another problem. Right now my nickname looks like this: <span style="color:#1e90ff;">~</span><span style="color:#6495ed;">Rebecca</span><span style="color:#1e90ff;">~</span><span style="color:#1e90ff;"><small> Username: RJMT</small></span><span style="color:#0000cd;"><small> | [[User Contrubutions:RJMT|Contributions]]</small></span> but I'm trying to turn the link that says contributions blue. I have: span style="color:#0000cd;" in front of the link. --<span style="color:#1e90ff;">~</span><span style="color:#6495ed;">Rebecca</span><span style="color:#1e90ff;">~</span><span style="color:#1e90ff;"><small> Username: RJMT</small></span><span style="color:#0000cd;"><small> | [[User Contrubutions:RJMT|Contributions]]</small></span> 21:54, 1 Aug 2005 (UTC)
: You cannot edit the color of links that way. The color must be placed INSIDE The link. Anyway, that is the wrong sort of Contributions page. Try [[Special:Contributions/RJMT]]. --{{User:Jay/sig}} 21:59, 1 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Okay, now I uploaded a new image of the misc. preferences tab (the second link in the title of this comment) because of the new Bytes option. It also has a better quality than Misc Prefs.PNG. However, whenever I add it to this page, Stux removes it immediatly. Why are you doing that? --{{User:Super Martyo Brother/sig}} 03:21, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
''{A big red sign with white letters appears across the screen saying "BANNED IN THE UK." Cut to an issue of ''The Guardian'', which contains pictures of a cricketer, [[The King of Town]] and a policeman, and the following article about Strong Bad on the front page.}''

<blockquote>'''Strong Bad Offends'''<br>
'''The Royals!'''<br>
<br>
In this Monday's edition of U.S. based "Strong Bad<br>
Email," the title character, Strong Bad, an odd little <br>
bloke with a Mexican wrestling mask for a head and <br>
boxing gloves for hands made such comments that <br>
warranted the Queen to ban the edition from UK <br>
shores. Strong Bad has been charged with "verbal <br>
crimes against the crown" and the Strong Bad Email, <br>
now simply being called the infamous "sbemail22," <br>
has been removed from broadcast in both the UK and <br>
the States. At a press conference held on Tuesday, <br>
</blockquote>

== Easter Eggs ==

*After the [[Periodicals|newspaper]] comes up, click the words "press conference" to see the press conference.

:'''THE ANNOUNCER:''' Strong Bad, how do you respond to claims that your comment brought the entire royal family to tears?

:''{The Cheat whispers a response to Strong Bad. Strong Bad clears his throat and speaks into the microphone.}''

:'''STRONG BAD:''' Screw all y'all.

:''{Gasps are heard from the crowd.}''

:'''THE ANNOUNCER:''' Cor blimey!

:''{A black-and-white photograph snaps Strong Bad and The Cheat.}''

:'''MAN:''' ''{off screen, in a Scouse accent}'' I can't believe he said that.

:''{[[The Paper]] comes down.}''

:*After the press conference, click on the stack of papers to see what The Cheat told Strong Bad. The paper reads, "Just say 'Screw all ya'll<!-- sic -->'. Trust me. It'll work."

== Fun Facts ==

===Explanations===
*The reason why this is called "The Lost Email!" is because after [[The Brothers Chaps]] made email 21, [[cartoon]], they went ahead and made email 23, [[little animal]], skipping over number 22. Between [[vacation]] (#40) and [[invisibility]] (#41), The Brothers Chaps made email 22.
**The skip makes this email the last of the Tandy era.
*"[[Wikipedia:Bobby|Bobby]]" is English slang for a policeman, hence the joke about a policeman actually named Bobby.
*The article on [[Wikipedia:Cricket|cricket]] is a reference to America's stereotyped attitude to the sport of cricket which the English are renowned for embracing.
*"Some kinda unnecessary vowel at the end" refers to differences between [[Wikipedia:American English|American English]] and [[Wikipedia:British English|British English]] (especially archaic British). Examples include words like ''annexe, programme, shoppe, olde, pointe, towne,'' and ''grille,'' and famous names such as ''Locke''.
*According to [[Wikipedia:The Guardian|The Guardian]]: "The King Of Town Eats Treacle". Although the King of Town is known for his proclivity for strange food items, [[Wikipedia:Molasses|treacle]] is not all that strange. The word is odd-sounding to American ears, but it's really just molasses.
*"[[Wikipedia:Bollocks|Bollocks]]" literally means "testicles" in Britain and Ireland. However, it can also be used in the same general sense as "crap" or "nonsense" &mdash; although the word itself is much stronger. That said, Strong Bad misspells it as "bullocks", which refers to young bulls.

===Trivia===
*This is the first Strong Bad email (by number) to contain an Easter Egg.
*This is the shortest Strong Bad email, with a time of 34 seconds. Thus the email's Easter Egg is the most significant proportion of any email to date.

[[Image:sbemail22glitch.png|thumb|right|The see-through hand]]

===Remarks===
*This is an email in which [[The Paper]] does not come down in the main toon; here it comes down only at the end of the Easter egg. Another example of this would be the end of the email [[part-time job]].

===Goofs===
*When Strong Bad covers the microphone with his hand, there is a gap between his hand and the edge of the mic.
*After the "BANNED IN THE UK" sign and cut to the newspaper, we can hear a small blip of the press conference Easter egg.
*If you change the contrast all the way to green during the beginning, the "BANNED IN THE UK" banner changes it back to black just before the newspaper appears.

===Inside References===
*''The Guardian'' describes itself as "Britain's [[Prancing|Pranciest]] Newspaper".

===Real-World References===
*The song Strong Bad sings in the beginning of the email is from [[Wikipedia:Donkey Kong (arcade game)|the original ''Donkey Kong'' game]].
*"Nevermind the Bullocks" is a reference to the [[Wikipedia:Sex Pistols|Sex Pistols']] controversial album ''[[Wikipedia:Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols|Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols]]'', which was also banned in the UK.
* The paper that appears is a very faithfully reproduced version of UK broadsheet [[Wikipedia:The Guardian|The Guardian]], including references to that paper's supplement, [[Wikipedia:The Guardian#Supplements_and_features|G2]]. Also referred to are [[Wikipedia:B-2 Spirit|B2]], a class of bomber used by the USAF, and F7, a type of rail engine.
*In the corner of the photo of Strong Bad, a classic [[Wikipedia:Buses in London|London bus]] can be seen. There is also an advert on the side of it for [[Wikipedia:EasyJet|easyJet]], a British airline.
*Somebody sounding suspiciously like [[Wikipedia:Ringo Starr|Ringo Starr]] says "I can't believe he said that" at the end of the press conference. This could be in reference to the infamous [[Wikipedia:John Lennon|John Lennon]] quote stating that [[The Beatles]] were "more popular than Jesus" and the uproar that ensued.

===Fast Forward===
*The Cheat's whispering to Strong Bad is one of the quotes on the "Learn to Speak The Cheat" record in [[cheat talk]]. It translates as "Check it out, this is going to be great! Just say, 'Screw all y'all!'"
*The Cheat's lawyer suit will later be seen in [[rough copy]].

'''Marzipan's Answering Machine''' is probably one of the most overlooked sections on the [[Homestar Runner (Flash cartoon)|Homestar Runner website]], likely because it has little or no animation. The messages often dive deeper into interpersonal relationships between the [[Characters|characters]], with each short message packed with insight. Some mainstays of the section are [[Strong Bad]]'s unrelenting prank calls, [[Homestar Runner|Homestar]]'s constant misunderstandings, and [[Coach Z]]'s and [[Strong Sad]]'s depressing ramblings. It also features various other surprise messages and cameos from major and minor characters.
