Welcome!
Hey, PAGENAME, welcome to the Homestar Runner Wiki! We can always use new registered users around here, so I'm glad you're on. A word of warning, though: Before you do any major editing, you'll want to read up on our editing standards. And if this is the first MediaWiki based wiki (or first wiki) you've used check out the MediaWiki User's Guide, or for quick reference, our Help:Editing page. If you have any questions that aren't answered on our FAQ, post them on its talk page, or you can ask me directly. Most people here are pretty good about [[Meatball:AssumeStupidityNotMalice|assuming stupidity [read: ignorance] rather than malice]].
Hello, I must tell you to refrain from cursing on your summaries. There are little kids here who might find if offensive and never come back. We want to keep this site as clean as possible.-- 05:06, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
:Sorry for that. Happened in the heat of the moment. Is there a way of changing a summary afterwards? 05:08, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
I say it that way, but I do that because that's how it's said, all the time. I wonder - is there a significant Spanish-speaking population down south where you're at? Curious. 04:28, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

:No, there's no significant Spanish population down here, but there is actually someone from Venezuela in my lab that I can ask tomorrow ;-) Anyways, I did have Spanish at school for four years. And there is this sound that native English speakers can't usually make (the hard "ch" in German, or the hard "j" and "g" in Spanish) and thus replace with "h". I only learned Spanish Spanish, and this might be different for Mexican Spanish for example. I'll see if that Venezuelan girls knows. I'll take any chance to talk to the lady-types ;-) 04:50, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
::Congratulations Volkert! I know that you've only been here for three months, but in that little tim you've made a big change to the wiki. You are one of the founders of the subtitles project and with Phli made the code to it. Youve been a helping hand to new users and helped reverting vandalism. You are a great user and you deserve your sysophood. 08:17, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
i dont know all the fancy ways of messaging or formatting, so forgive me if this is entirely or partially wrong in form or function.

You wrote me a message about the above link complaining that I was being the butt in team, and being negative and I have to defend myself.
I was not being negative, and while trying to avoid sounding like a cynic, i was being truthful. There was nothing inherently negative in what i said.
I said if you want to ask a question, do it on the forum. That is true.
I said if you have a theory, post it here and people will argue about it. That is true.
I said that those arguments can become long. That is true.

What did i do wrong? Maybe it was a little sarcastic, but I hardly think i am making the hrwiki a "worse place". And the thinly veiled threat of "its your choice" seemed highly inappropriate. --JamesDean 07:03, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
Sensor Ship
Ummm... was it really necessary to censor the Willy on Wheels pages that Collin accidentally discovered? The names, while inappropriate as a Wiki page name, were not obscene, and certainly it couldn't have been that bad just to ask about them. -- 23:58, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
:Well, one of them was obscene. No, it wasn't bad for Collin to just ask about them, but if Loafing found the obscene one objectionable, then there's no reason to leave the titles there forever to be stumbled upon by current visitors of Collin's talk page, especially since that particular thread was resolved ages ago. &mdash; It's dot com 00:04, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
::I don't see how either one was particularly obscene, at least any more than referring to the vandal as "Willy on Wheels" is obscene. I'm just not one who likes unnecessary censorship. Changing WoW's page name moves back is necessary, and I understand that language is to be kept civil on the Wiki, but this seemed... kinda silly. To me, anyway. -- 00:13, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
::PS. I mean, what, are we going to start referring to the vandal as "xxxxx on xxxxxx"? -- 00:14, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
:::The question to me is 1) whether any real harm has been done (no) and 2) whether the user whose Talk page it is can change how things are if they prefer (yes) so I see no sense in debate on this. 01:30, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
:::Jay, I do have fundamental problems with censorship. Free speech is not something I take lightly. On the other hand, this is supposed to be a wki for nearly all ages, and part of the blanked out text was clearly obscene. And yes, I did blank out parts that weren't obscene (no, I don't consider "Willy on Wheels" to be obscene). I simply didn't know how far I should go. Just blank out the m-word? You would still get the idea of what that sentence meant. So I decided to just get rid of the whole thing. From what I could tell, Collin wouldn't miss it much, anyway. 03:11, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
So, what should I do in the future if I find obscene language in the user space? Ignore it? Ask the user to kindly remove it? Put a warning box for obscene language on the top of the page? Remove it? Is there a policy that I haven't found yet? 03:26, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
:We tend to delete it if it's the title of an article, remove it in the (main) namespace, bleep it out in the Talk: namespace, and drop a line if it's in an edit summary. Other than that, if it's used maturely (i.e. Swears), or if it's mature discussion of the use of such words (i.e. User talk:Collin), it's probably okay to leave it. &mdash; 17:00, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

{Gunhaver and Silent Rip appear in front of the control panel and video screen, watching shaky video of three Cheat Commandos being assaulted by blue lasers and explosions on a smoky, war-torn landscape.}

GUNHAVER: Naw, he's just one of those green helmets. We got like fifty of them. So, what's everybody doing for the holiday?

REYNOLD: I'm going to stay at my parents' house! If they haven't rented out my room... again... to my brother.

GUNHAVER: Well, have a good time, soldiers. I'll just be here in case Blue Laser tries to blow up over-the-river-and-through-the-woods... so that no one to grandmother's house... can go.
{The scene shifts to a small cottage in the autumn woods with a gravel path and smoke rising out of the stone chimney. Transition music plays}

{The camera pans to a second Blue Laser Minion chopping onions with fiendish faces drawn on them on the counter.}

BLUE LASER MINION 2: That was me, sir.

{Camera pans back to Blue Laser Commander}

BLUE LASER COMMANDER: I can never tell you two apart! {hurls the meat fork into the offscreen second minion's eye}

BLUE LASER MINION 2: Ow.

BLUE LASER COMMANDER: There! Now you're the one with the fork stuck in your eye!
{The door crashes open and the Fightgar, Firebert, and Silent Rip enter, armed with guns.}

FIGHTGAR: Sorry Blue Laser &mdash; the only thanks you'll be giving is getting shot by us with our bullet-shooting guns!

BLUE LASER COMMANDER: What?!
BLUE LASER COMMANDER: {laughs and smiles} You really had me going for a second there. Get in here, you guys!

BLUE LASER COMMANDER: Ripberger, you made it! {Ripberger stops at the door} I thought you were only available for a limited time with three proofs of purchase!
SILENT RIP: {scratching his head} Uh, we kinda didn't give him your invitation. Gunhaver has a bit of a hard time cutting loose.

{The scene cuts to Gunhaver in the Cheat Commandos base, saluting a flag labeled "The Flag" which is being blown by a fan.}

GUNHAVER: Forty-seven! Forty-eight! Forty-nine! Fifty! C'mon Gunhaver, you maggot! Give me fifty more! One! Two! Three!

{The scene cuts back to the cottage, with Blue Laser Commander and Fightgar at a table with plates, the turkey, and yams with marshmallows.}

FIGHTGAR: Uh... I guess... Claude Monet, and um... Manchester United!

BLUE LASER COMMANDER: That's good, that's good! Now what about you, Silent Rip?!

{The camera pans over to Silent Rip.}

SILENT RIP: I'm thankful for this bountiful Blue Laser Thanksgiving action playset!

{A "ding" noise is heard and the words "CHEAP AS FREE" appear in a cloud bubble in the corner of the scene}

{The camera cuts to Crackotage}

CRACKOTAGE: I'm thankful for the gift of rhyme!!

{The camera cuts to Ripberger}

RIPBERGER: Ambrosia salad!

{The camera cuts back to Crackotage}

CRACKOTAGE: I'm also thankful for this lime! {holds up a lime} Hibbety-jeebity!

{The camera cuts to Blue Laser Commander}

BLUE LASER COMMANDER: Plutonium at closeout prices!

{The camera cuts to a Blue Laser minion}

BLUE LASER MINION 1: I'm thankful I don't have a fork in my eye, sir.

{The camera cuts back to Blue Laser Commander}

BLUE LASER COMMANDER: My Nana's new hip!

{The camera cuts to the Blue Laser minion with a fork stuck through his visor into his eye}

BLUE LASER MINION 2: I'm... thankful for this fork in my eye.

{The scene cuts to Gunhaver, facing the camera in front of the control panel.}

GUNHAVER: So I exchanged it for something of lesser value, and they gave me the rest in store credit!

{The camera comes behind Gunhaver's back to show him standing in front of the video monitor with the anonymous Cheat Commando onscreen.}

CHEAT COMMANDO: That's great sir! A real value. But we could really use some air support.

GUNHAVER: Yeah, I should go too. Gotta check in on Blue Laser.

CHEAT COMMANDO: Please, NO&mdash;

{Gunhaver brings up the Blue Laser cottage on the video monitor, showing Blue Laser Commander, Fightgar, Silent Rip, and a Blue Laser minion at the table with the turkey.}

FIGHTGAR: Ambros-er-a salad... sayin' right, right, right, right...

GUNHAVER: Tight buns! Blue Laser has captured the Cheat Commandos and is forcing them to sit down to a delicious meal and pleasant conversation! Hang on, boys. Daddy Gunhavvy's on his way! {walks away from the monitor}

BLUE LASER COMMANDER: But I'm not thankful for that guy over there with the camera!

{The scene cuts to Reinforcements, who is using a camera and lights to record the Thanksgiving dinner.}

REINFORCEMENTS: Hey, guys.

{The camera focuses on Silent Rip and Blue Laser Commander}

SILENT RIP: Uh-oh. You know what that means.

{The camera cuts to Fightgar.}

FIGHTGAR: It won't be long before...

{Gunhaver comes out of the turkey pointing a handgun.}

GUNHAVER: Gobble, gobble... you're in trobble!

CRACKOTAGE: {offscreen} Hey, that's not bad!

{The camera cuts to Blue Laser Commander.}

BLUE LASER COMMANDER: Gunhaver! You actually have a gun!

{The camera cuts back to Gunhaver, with the silhouettes of two Cheat Commandos in the foreground}

GUNHAVER: Cheat Commandos, run! For cover! {camera zooms in} Blue Laser is clearly trying to have you all over for dinner!

{The camera cuts to Silent Rip.}

SILENT RIP: Uh, yeah! He invited you too! But we didn't tell you because we were afraid you'd do something like this!

{The camera cuts back to Gunhaver.}

GUNHAVER: And I did! The Cheat Commandos win again!

{The camera cuts to Blue Laser Commander.}

BLUE LASER COMMANDER: Well, since you're here... {clasps his hands together} Play us a song, won't you Charles?

{The camera pans past several Cheat Commandos, all murmuring in agreement}

GUNHAVER: A&mdash;a song? No, I couldn't possibly... it's been so long, I...

{The camera cuts back to Gunhaver, with a small, dirty Cheat Commando wearing a cap behind him.}

OLIVER SMIDGEN: Won't you play us a song, Gun'aver?

GUNHAVER: All right, you talked me into it. One song!

{Cut to Gunhaver sitting at a black upright piano with the Cheat Commandos and Blue Laser gathered around.}

GUNHAVER: This is one everybody knows, so give me a hand, boys. {begins playing the piano and singing} Buy all our playsets and...

CHEAT COMMANDOS AND BLUE LASER: Ooh!

GUNHAVER: {singing} Buy all our playsets and...

{Ripberger descends upside-down from the ceiling.}

CHEAT COMMANDOS AND BLUE LASER: Ah!

GUNHAVER: {singing} Buy all our playsets and...

EVERYONE: {singing} Toys!

{The camera pans past Fightgar, Silent Rip, and the Blue Laser minion with the fork in his eye. The camera focuses on the piano keys, which Gunhaver is playing the Cheat Commandos theme song, and then cuts back to everyone in front of the piano}

EVERYONE: Yeah!

BLUE LASER COMMANDER: A holiday classic!

{Smoke begins wafting through the top of the room.}

SILENT RIP: Uh, what's that smell?

FIGHTGAR: How should I know? You're the one called Silent Rip!

GUNHAVER: That's all me. I stuck a nuclear device in the oven in case I didn't make it out of here alive! {several of the attendees open their mouths in surprise}

{The scene cuts to Reynold's room, with his brother playing video games. There are several speakers in the room; the ones in the foreground are shaking as they play music. The Blue Laser cottage can be seen outside the window with smoke rising from it.}

MUSIC: No one understands me! No one understands me!

{Reynold enters the room, covering his ears}

REYNOLD: Will you turn that noise down?!

REYNOLD'S BROTHER: You're so lame.

MUSIC: No one understands me... but YOU!

{The Blue Laser cottage explodes and the glass window of Reynold's room shatters}

{The screen shifts to a picture of Gunhaver coming out of the turkey, with the message, "Happy Thanksgiving! from those Cheat Commandos" and the "Buy all our playsets and toys" music.}
*:BLUE LASER MINION: I'm going to go ahead and disobey a direct order, sir.<br>
*:BLUE LASER COMMANDER: Understandable!!

Fun Facts
Explanations
*The "Green Helmets" are minor, expendable characters added so "heroes" can die without losing any members of the main cast. Such characters are frequently called "Redshirts", due to the fact that such characters in Star Trek usually wore red shirts.

Trivia
*This is the first time Ripberger is heard speaking.
*This is the first Cheat Commandos cartoon to feature civilian characters besides Reynold.
*The Blue Laser Commander exclaims, "Gunhaver! You actually have a gun!" Indeed, in spite of his name, this is the first time Gunhaver is actually seen holding a gun. However, his gun appeared in Shopping for Danger, though Blue Laser Commander never saw it.

Fixed Goofs
*When Crackotage's arm went down after showing the lime, the lime didn't descend with his arm. This was quickly fixed by removing the downwards arm movement.

Inside References
*The Lil' Steiny piano is a reference to Stiny's nickname, Li'l Stiny, from superhero name.
*The page title refers to A. Chimendez.
*This is another instance of blood in a cartoon.
*This is another instance of Cheap as Free in a cartoon.
*The price of each Easter egg action figure is $11.01.

Real-World References
*The Lil' Steiny piano is a reference to Steinway & Sons pianos.
*"Over the river and through the woods" is a reference to the Christmas song, Over the River and Through the Woods, by Lydia Maria Child.
*Oliver Smidgen is an allusion to Oliver Twist and Tiny Tim.
*Claude Monet (1840-1926) was a French Impressionist painter.
*Manchester United Football Club is a world-famous English football club.
*Reynold's brother dresses and acts very much like a stereotypical kindergoth. The music he listens to is a parody of punk and emo music. The way in which the words "no one understands me" are sung is similar to the way "hope and understanding" are sung in the emo band Spoken's song "Wind In My Sails."
*The poster in Reynold's Brother's room displays the anarchy symbol.

STRONG BAD: {singing} A-when you dribble down the court with an email, you leave your dreams at the top of the keeey. {brings up the email}

<blockquote class="lappy email">
<div>subject: Trading Stong-gum</div>
Hey Strongbad-<br />
You should have trading cards...With a stick of gum in them.<br />
Nerdly yours,<br />
Daniel,<br />
N.S. CANADA
</blockquote>

{Strong Bad says "Another freakin' guy named Daniel" instead of "Daniel" and "not safe in Canada" instead of "N.S. CANADA".}

STRONG BAD: {typing and whispering} Oh! Thanks for the tip, Daniel. I'll lay low here in the <!--sic-->states for a while until things cool off. {clears screen, talking normally} Daniel, trading cards are the biggest waste of not a video game on the planet! In fact, I thought trading cards were outlawed the day they invented good graphics. As for that "gum" that comes with them, I'm pretty sure they replaced that with a pink piece of balsa wood back in the early 80's and nobody ever noticed. So, no, I shouldn't have trading cards. But most of the other idiots round here have engaged in some form of trading cardery. Let's rag on them, shall we?

{A small area of the top of Strong Bad's computer desk is shown. A trading card of Coach Z entitled "Coach-Like Figure" is placed onto it.}

STRONG BAD: {offscreen} First up is Coach Z's line of vaguely sportsish managerial cards. {Another trading card entitled "Horrendous Spitter" is placed on the table.} What self-respecting twelve-year-old doesn't want to collect pictures of the smelly old men behind their favorite sports teams? {A third card entitled "Showering Expert" is placed.} And who could resist memorizing all these fabulous stats? {Card is flipped over showing vaguely sports related stats} Ooh, a record high 23 butt pats in '84!

{Cut back to Strong Bad on his Lappy, with Homestar Runner next to him.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: And, who do you think was the lucky recipient of all those {wiggles his rear end} butt pats 'cept a one?

STRONG BAD: Let me guess, it&mdash;

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {interrupting} No, it was me. {close up on Homestar} It was like I was made to hustle that season.

{Cut back to wide view of Strong Bad and Homestar}

STRONG BAD: So, who got that last butt pat?

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Oh. I think he gave himself that one. He's re-known for his {wiggles his rear end again} self-butt pats.

{closeup of Strong Bad's head}

STRONG BAD: Yeah, known in seven states.

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {offscreen} What?

{Cut back to Strong Bad typing on his Lappy. He clears the screen.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Next up, we got the<!-- sic! --> Cheat's trading card game, which is really more like a trading card activity or trading card goings-on, because the word 'game' implies fun and enjoyment.

{Cut to the top of Strong Bad's computer desk. A trading card of "Cheatball" slides into view.}

STRONG BAD: {offscreen} And you won't find none of that here.

{Wipe to 20X6 the field with Stinkoman and Cheatball.}

STINKOMAN: CHEATBALL POISON RAIN VORNADO!!!

{He throws the Cheatball toward the screen.}

CHEATBALL: Cheatball!

{It explodes in a green cloud of gas. As it dissipates, numbers appear in the four corners of the screen and change rapidly. The words "PLAY GET!" flash on the screen and the 20X6 credit song from Under Construction plays}

STINKOMAN: Uhm, so, did I win? Does anyone know how this game works?

{Wipe back to the top of Strong Bad's computer desk with trading cards titled "Cheatball" and "Stinkoman" lying on it.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {offscreen} I'll trade you your Cheatball card for my Deathly Pallor Lonely Lurker Attack card. {said trading card appears on the table}

{Cut back to Strong Bad on his Lappy, with Homestar Runner next to him.}

STRONG BAD: Homestar, those aren't even from the same lame game. Or SLG.

{closeup of Strong Bad's head}

STRONG BAD: Your game is for musky nerds to play in the basement of the freshman dorms. This cutesy Japanesey game is for little kids to play during recess, to make sure they don't get any real exercise.

{Cut back to Strong Bad on his Lappy, with Homestar Runner next to him.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Well, how are them kids gonna earn any {wiggles his rear end} butt pats if they don't hustle it out?

STRONG BAD: I don't think butt pats are part of the approved curriculum in elementary schools these days.

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {looks sad} Well, that's just sad.

{Strong Bad turns back to his Lappy; cut back to him typing.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} The only trading cards I really gave a toot about were...

{Cut to the top of Strong Bad's computer desk, where a trading card entitled "Petey POOPsmith" appears.}

STRONG BAD: {offscreen} .. the Poopsmith's line of gross-out cards for kids.

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {offscreen} I'll trade you that Petey POOPsmith for this Marzi-PANCAKE. {said trading card appears on table}

{Cut back. Homestar is still there.}

STRONG BAD: You just keep showing up, don't ya?

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Okay, okay, I'll throw in this rare STING of Town, too.

{Cut to table, where said trading card is placed down. Cut back to Strong Bad on his Lappy, with Homestar Runner next to him.}

STRONG BAD: How 'bout I trade you a "get outta my face" for this...

{Cut to Strong Bad drawing on a sticky note, with the Lappy in front of him.}

STRONG BAD: ...uhhhh...

{Cut to the top of Strong Bad's computer desk, where a post-it note entitled "148 more reps!" appears.}

Fun Facts
Explanations
*Coach Z's trading cards are references to sports cards which often feature an image of a player of a sport playing said sport. Statistics like the ones on the back of Coach Z's cards are similar to the statistics found on sports cards as well.
*Strong Bad uses the acronym "SLG" for "same lame game." SLG is also an abbreviation for "simulation game" in Japan, which is fitting because of the appearance of the Cheatball's trading card game in this e-mail.
*"Fiery How to Play Convusion" is a reference to the "How to Play" card in some card games.

Trivia
*The back of the "Showering Expert" card reads -
<blockquote>Coach Z<br>
Crunk Warriors<br>
1984 Stat-at-at-ats<br>
Butt pats..................23<br>
Hat throws.................8<br>
Dirt kicks...................13<br>
Shorts.....................3 in.<br>
"Ol' Butt Patterson<br>
once made a castle<br>
out of toilet paper!"</blockquote>
*This is the first time we have ever seen 20X6 The Cheat's real name, heard him speak, or even seen what he actually looks like, other than his face.
*The floppy disk container reads "kyrandia series".
*"Vornado" is another example of portmanteaus, being a combination of "vortex" and "tornado".
*When this email was first released, the sticky notes at the end could be clicked on, but doing so did nothing. This was changed shortly thereafter.
*The notes left on the floor are identical, and the drawing on them is different from the zoomed-in notes.

Remarks
*The Dimetrodon Strong Bad fans himself with in an Easter egg was a real creature that is commonly mistaken for a dinosaur. In actuality, it was a synapsid (mammal-like reptile) that lived at least 30 million years before the first dinosaurs appeared.
*Strong Bad's dinosaur cards do not use the usual Ahnberg Hand font for his handwriting.
*The "Firey How to Play Convusion" card's white shadow says, "Firey How to Score Convusion".
*Strong Bad says, "Another freakin' guy named Daniel," but at the time of this email, there had been only one other email sender by the name of Daniel. However, there had been ten senders with names that are variations of Daniel; i.e. Dan and Danny.
*If the Flash is viewed externally such that the parts outside the frame can be seen, it can be seen that even though he is out of the frame at the time, Homestar jumps slightly and has mouth movement for his line "What?"
*The four number counters all count the same numbers, they just start at different times.
*When Strong Bad draws himself bench-pressing dinosaurs on a sticky note, he uses his left hand although he is right handed.

Goofs
*For a single frame, Strong Bad's drawing (148 more reps!) remains after he lifts the sticky note up.
*The "Showering Expert" Coach Z trading card does not have a gray border on the outside.

Fixed Goofs
*When this email was first released, "Pallor" was spelled as "Palor" on Strong Sad's playing card. This has since been fixed.
*Part of the drawing on one of the sticky notes previously went outside the border of the note. This has also been fixed.

Inside References
*Strong Bad's intro song for this email includes the phrase "the top of the key" (a point on a basketball court), previously mentioned in autobiography and anything.
*Strong Sad's Grim Reaper costume originally appeared in Experimental Film.
*Strong Sad was known as "The Deathly Pallor" in impression; this is also the name of his radio host alter-ego in radio.
*Strong Sad's Easter egg card calls him Prancibald, which was first used in flashback by Strong Bad to describe Homestar.
*This is another appearance of butt-patting.
*This is also another appearance of Dan.
*Strong Sad was described as a lurker in garage sale and Senorial Day.
*"Crunk Warriors" refers to Coach Z's hip-hop tendencies.
*The Coach Z trading cards closely resemble the Pom-Pom Basketball card in the email different town
*The capsules on the top of the Stinkoman cards are the same as the capsule in time capsule, as well as the powerups in Stinkoman 20X6.
*The "biggest waste of not a video game" is similar to other remarks in Strong Bad's emails like "larger waste of not water" in bottom 10 or "biggest waste of dump" in record book.

Real-World References
*"Whatsit Pile Tikes" are a parody of Garbage Pail Kids.
*The title screen for "C.H.E.A.T." is a reference to the notoriously unpopular Atari 2600 game E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, which is often cited as one of the main causes of the video game crash of 1983. The game featured an uncharacteristically detailed title screen commonly described as being the "best part of the game". *The "Beleaguered: Alliance" cards with Strong Sad are a reference to "Magic: The Gathering" or "Vampire: The Eternal Struggle". The numbers in the lower right corner of Strong Sad's cards resemble the "power/toughness" ratings from M:TG, and the art closely resembles that of V:TES.
*The Stinkoman Cards are a parody of Japanese trading card games such as Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh!; in particular, the points that appear onscreen during the 20X6 sequence resemble the life counters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, and the yellow cards with attack names resemble the cards from the Pokémon TCG.
*The name Cheatball, as well as the way Stinkoman throws him, is a reference to the Poké Balls used in Pokémon.
*Cheatball saying "Cheatball" is also a reference to the Pokémon animé, where most Pokémon speak by saying their name.
*The Crunk Warriors is a reference to the new Atlanta CBA team called the Atlanta Krunk Wolverines. Crunk is a genre of hip hop music based particularly on the eastern side of Atlanta, Georgia popularized by Lil Jon and more.
*Vornado is a brand of air circulation systems.
Dear awesome,<br />
have you ever thought how rediculous some crayon names are....I mean "blizzard blue"...thats stupid...and "Laser lemon"...???<br />
Somebody finally got it right!"; at the first ellipsis, he adds, "Oh, you mean like, Red Iculous?" and a red crayon labelled "Red Iculous" appears, and after reading the name "Laser lemon", he repeats surprisedly:}

STRONG BAD: Laser lemon?! {picking up a phone} The Cheat, halt production immediately!

{Cut to the garage, where The Cheat is using a soldering iron and an oscilloscope to build a laser with lemons on it.}

STRONG BAD: {over the PA} Crayola beat us to the punch. Let's shift focus to... "Laser Limes". {The Cheat looks annoyed and a black "cloud" briefly appears over his head} Or maybe just laser beams<!-- If you disagree with this, please discuss it on the Talk page. -->.

THE CHEAT: {The Cheat noise which sounds unmistakably like "Okay."}

{Cut back to the Lappy, where Strong Bad resumes reading the email. He reads "Andover,MN" as "And over, and over, and over, M N."}

STRONG BAD: Ter? What is that, short for Terbert? Or Terlliam? Or Terthew? {clears screen} Welter, the crayons of my youth had pretty awesome names. Especially the ones that came with my Limozeen 1989 "Ladies, We're Staying in Room 302 at the Ramada" Tour coloring book!

{Cut to a view of this coloring book, which has a drawing of two members of Limozeen on the cover. As Strong Bad says each of the following color names, a corresponding crayon appears.}

STRONG BAD: There was Leather Black, Ripped Denim Blue, Groupie Lipstick Red, Skin Flesh {pink}, Hairspray Blond {yellow}, and Tight Shiny Purple. It even came with a cassette tape with a song about how to color!

{A yellow cassette tape labeled "Colorin' (Outside the Lines)" appears. Switch to a view of the first page of the coloring book, which shows Larry and Gary performing. Below this is the text "Gary and Larry rehearse their moves". The page has been colored to look like Larry's guitar has caught fire, and a laser is drawn firing from the guitar with the word "vpoo" over it.}

LARRY: {singing} Grab a box of sixty-four,&mdash;

LARRY: {singing} &mdash;with a sharpener a-built right in,&mdash;
{Change to next page, which shows Larry with two women. The text says "<s>Larry</s> Strong Bad always serenades the 'of-age' ladies after the show". Larry's face has been colored like Strong Bad's, and his hands have been drawn to look like red boxing gloves. The girls have the Canadian Flag colored onto their shirts.}

LARRY: {singing} Dump 'em all out onto the floor,&mdash;

{Change to next page, which shows Mary with a face drawn on his abdomen; the text says, "Drummers almost never wear shirts while playing a big show." The rest of the page remains colorless.}

LARRY: {singing} &mdash;and let the party begin!

{Change to next page, which shows Gary leaping into the air while playing the guitar; he has been colored to wear a Los Angeles Lakers uniform and hold a basketball; a basketball hoop and defending player have also been drawn in. The text reads "Gary's playing some "air" guitar. Get it?"}

LIMOZEEN: Colorin'!

LARRY: Outside the lines!

{The next page shows Perry with Teeg Dougland at the soundboard; the text reads "Producer/ manager/ roadie/ webmaster Teeg Dougland shows Perry how to tweak the reverb." They have both been colored to look like old ladies with wrinkles, grey hair, lipstick and fingernails all colored in.}

LIMOZEEN: Colorin'!

LARRY: Inside your heart!

{The next page shows Larry and Perry, who is wearing a bear mask; the text reads "'That bear mask has GOT to go!!!' shouts Larry."}

LIMOZEEN: Colorin'!

LARRY: Those crayons of mine!

{The next page shows Mary and Larry barbecuing; a large, vicious-looking hot dog has been drawn standing behind them; The Cheat has been drawn peeking from around the barbecue. Mary's skin has been colored blue, The text reads, "Back home from the road, Mary and Larry say, 'It's Grilla Time!'"}

LIMOZEEN: Colorin'!

LARRY: Hey, hey, let's go back to the start!

{The last page shows Larry with Gary and Perry performing, but is not colored. The text reads, "Larry is screaming like a demon. And the other two are playing guitars." The music stops.}

STRONG BAD: Whoa, looks like I missed one! As much as I respect you guys as artists, it's time to melt your faces off.

{Strong Bad uses the Skin Flesh crayon to draw on Larry's face as the music from the first drawing of Trogdor plays. The crayon breaks.}

STRONG BAD: Aww, crudcrap! My Skin Flesh broke!

{Cut to a view of Strong Bad at his table holding the broken crayon.}

STRONG BAD: Where'm I gonna get another one of these at this hour? Ooh, wait! I bet Marzipan's teaching her kindergarten class down at the Montesodium school! Those kids eat crayons like they were paste!

{Cut to Marzipan in the Classroom; the blackboard reads "SOY IS ALSO MURDER"}

MARZIPAN: {finishing a monologue} ...so that way, you always feel guilty!

{Strong Bad walks in.}

STRONG BAD: Hey, Goody Marzipan. Can I borrow some crayons? I broke my Skin Flesh!

MARZIPAN: {looks aghast, then angry} Shhh! Strong Bad, not in front of the class!

{Cut to a view of the class, which consists of Homsar, Strong Mad and Homestar Runner wearing yellow shirts. Homsar has a stack of blocks on his desk that reads "TURD".}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Teach-orr! I have go bafroom!

{Cut back to Marzipan and Strong Bad.}

STRONG BAD: Why can't I say "Skin Flesh" in front of the&mdash;uh, children?

MARZIPAN: First of all, we don't call them children. They're "life blossoms"!

STRONG BAD: Life blossoms?! Marzipan, what kind of cult are you running here?

MARZIPAN: Oh, a pretty standard one. {cut to a closeup of Marzipan} Anyway, we don't use the term "Skin Flesh". The color you're looking for is "Dermal Discoveries".

{A pink roll loosely resembling a crayon with the words "Dermal Discoveries" appears. Some notes played on a acoustic guitar is heard. Cut to a view from behind Marzipan, facing Strong Bad.}

STRONG BAD: What's that scramble?! What about Lipstick Red?

MARZIPAN: No, no, no. Too gender-specific. We use "Crimson Suggestion".

{A red roll with the words "Crimson Suggestion" appears. More acoustic notes play.}

STRONG BAD: Well, how 'bout Hairspray Blond?

MARZIPAN: Vague Pigmentation!

{A yellow roll with the words "Vague Pigmentation" appears. Acoustic notes are heard.}

STRONG BAD: Leather Black?

MARZIPAN: We just call that "blue."

{A black roll with the word "Blue" appears. More acoustic notes are heard. Homestar Runner moves into view.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Teacherman, {cut to face Homestar Runner} are we just gonna talk about crowns all day?

STRONG BAD: Ta'-'bou'-wha'?

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Crowns! You know! For coloring! A box of crowns!

MARZIPAN: {laughs}

STRONG BAD: {chuckling} You mean, crayons? Cray-ons?

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {looks angry} Oh, I don't need this. I'm going to the liberry! To read me some pie-pie comics!

{Return to view of Marzipan and Strong Bad from the front.}

STRONG BAD: What kind of grades does Homestar get?

MARZIPAN: Oh, roots and grass, mostly.

STRONG BAD: Roots and grass? What're those, like, D's? D minusesses?

MARZIPAN: No, they're F's.

{Cut back to the last page of the coloring book.}

STRONG BAD: All right, boys. Prepare to make some dermal discoveries!

{Strong Bad begins to draw with the Dermal Discoveries "crayon." Nothing happens.}

STRONG BAD: What the&mdash; what's wrong with this stupid crown&mdash;on?

{Cut to Strong Bad and Marzipan in front of the table.}

MARZIPAN: Oh, didn't I tell you? Our crayons don't actually color so that no one life blossom shines brighter than any other. That way, they're all special!

STRONG BAD: I never had any doubts that all your students were {uses hand quotes} "special", Marzipan.

{Cut to close up on Marzipan}

MARZIPAN: And they're made from 100% pressed bunson, so they double as a healthy snack! Mmm! {eats a "Crimson Suggestion" and leaves.}

{Cut back to Strong Bad in front of the table. A bundle of Marzipan's "crayons" appears in front of Strong Bad.}

LARRY: {singing, his words appear under the bundle of "crayons."} Pressed bunson, you know it's pressed bunson. Preeeeow!

{The Paper comes down as Larry sings the last word.}

STRONG BAD: ...the crap is pressed bunson?
Easter Eggs
*Click on "Dear awesome" after Strong Bad mentions "Red Iculous" to see a "Dear Awesome" colored crayon.
*Likewise, click on "some crayon" and see a "Some Crayon" colored crayon.
*Click on Homestar's shirt when he walks up to Marzipan to see the logo for L.U.R.N., or "Life-Blossoms Undergoing Re-programming Naturally."
*Click on the word Murder on the chalkboard after Strong Bad asks about Homestar's grades to see his report card.
*At the end, click on the Limozeen Coloring Book to see the whole thing (it comes up in a new window). It has three pages and two colors not featured in the email. You can color it with the included crayons, or print it out.

Fun Facts
Explanations
*The device next to The Cheat is an oscilloscope.
*"Special" is often used as a euphemism to refer to developmentally challenged people.
*On the page of the Limozeen colouring book where Larry is crossed out to reveal Strong Bad serenading the "of age" groupies, they are wearing Canadian flag tops. Those "of age" to consent in Canada are 14 and above.

Trivia
*The crayons in the Easter egg contain two colors not featured in the email: "Roadie Puke Green" and "Sweet Boots Brown".
*This is the first time we see Marzipan in Strong Bad's house.
*The coloring book Easter egg originally did not have an "Undo" button to go back a step when coloring, so if you made a mistake well into your drawing, you'd have to erase it all. It was added later.
*In the drawing of the coloring book where Larry is serenading the "of-age" ladies, he is holding a G chord on the guitar.

Remarks
*The Lappy's "toe" (which was removed in cliffhangers and was missing in retirement) is back.
*The cards above the chalkboard read "4, I3, (, I>, 3, I=, 6, #, 1" which are Leetspeak representations of the letters A through I.
*This is the first/closest The Cheat has gotten to saying a word in English ("Okay") outside of his Powered by The Cheat cartoons, although some of his The Cheat noises have strongly suggested English phrases in the past.
*Both Larry and Perry are wearing blue shirts with white stars, in the style of Homestar's shirt.
*If you download the Flash file for the Limozeen coloring book Easter egg directly to your computer, it will ask you if you want to print a page when you open it.

Fixed Goofs
*When this email was first released, "blossom" was misspelled as "blossum" in the T-shirt and report card Easter eggs, and "animals" was misspelled as "animas". These have since been fixed.
*The coloring book originally misnamed several of the crayons in comparison to their email counterparts. Groupie Lipstick Red was incorrectly named "Rockin' Red" while Tight Shiny Purple was named "Ballad Purple". This has since been fixed.
* In the original Limozeen coloring book, there was no undo feature. It has since been implemented.

Inside References
*Strong Bad uses the same disconnected telephone to speak to The Cheat over the intercom that he used in replacement.
*Strong Bad has previously defaced and satirized picture books in kids' book and That Time of Year.
*When Strong Bad is coloring the Limozeen picture, the music is the same as the music that plays while he is drawing Trogdor in dragon.
*Homestar calling Marzipan "Teacherman", is an example of him calling things something ending in "man", for instance, he called the "nice present" from Decemberween in July a Santaman, and the Bear holding a Shark in myths & legends a "Monsterman".
*"TURD" is a vulgarism for whatsit.
*The fact that Strong Bad drew The Cheat peeking out from behind Limozeen's grill is a reference to Where's The Cheat?, in which it is revealed that The Cheat lives in The King of Town's Grill.

Real-World References
*Crayola is a well known company that makes art supplies such as crayons.
**"Skin Flesh" is also a possible reference to when Crayola renamed their color "Flesh" to "Peach" in 1962, partially to avoid racial discrimination.
*On the air guitar page, Strong bad has 'colored' a basketball jersey similar to that of the Los Angeles Lakers onto Gary.
**On the same page of the coloring book, the basketball player on the right very much resembles Larry Bird.
*The band member wearing a bear mask is a reference to musician John Mayer who sometimes dresses in a bear costume in order to meet and talk with fans before concerts without the fans realizing who he is.
Gene Simmons of the rock band Kiss is well-known for his extraordinarily long tongue, and is also known as "The Demon".
*Homestar leaving to go read "pie pie comics" may mean he wants to read Popeye comics.
*It's Grilla Time is a reference to "It's Miller Time", which is a famous slogan of Miller Brewing Company. It's also why they're holding Cold Ones at the time.
*The subtitle on the Limozeen book, "Ladies, We're Staying in Room 302 at the Ramada", is written in the font created and used by British heavy metal band Iron Maiden.
Talk:Bubs's Keytar

Neon Predator Calypsan: /* Keytar */ my two cents

Plain keytar page?
Should we just make a general 'keytar' page? They've become pretty commonplace as of late, and Bubs' isn't the only one. In fact, his hasn't come up for a while. So what do we do? -J2
:Good suggestion, but I'm... hesitant. That would involve dabbling with other article titles in the same categories, :Category:Instruments and :Category:Electronics. &mdash;BazookaJoe 04:51, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
::Huh. We could keep them, and just have Keytar talk about each instance and provide links to the others? -J2

Keytar
It was seen in coloring, and I'm bad at editing, can someone else?
:Umm... where? I don't see it in that email at all... 08:15, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
::Larry played keytar in a picture in the coloring book. 09:09, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
:::Ah, that'll teach me for looking at just the pages that appeared in the toon, and not the easter egg... 05:46, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
::::That's a great idea in my opinion. In fact, I visited this talk page just to suggest it. I would think it best to either create an entire Keytar page now and move this information there (as with how The Cheat's smoking habits are enlisted at Smoking), or wait for another keytar reference unrelated to Bubs. "Coach Z, how come you don't dance no more?"<br>
And I say, Ladies, ladies!<br>

*Nebulon's graffiti tag, NEB-1, appears briefly in the background.
*Coach Z is shown doing breakdancing moves in the video, including airchairs and windmills.
*Coach Z has his hat colors reversed during the whole video.
Hello and welcome to my userpage! I am a seasoned wiki veteran, and joined to cool off from the Halloween rush. I've been a Homestar Runner fan for a few years now. I'm also a freak for the rock band Falling Up, hence my username, Neon Predator Calypsan, which is derived from the "Moonlit (Neon Predator)" mix from the band's remix album, Exit Lights, and the hit single "Exit Calypsan" from Dawn Escapes. I love rock music (especially hard rock), anime and a whole lot of other things!
