With such an expansive bank of cartoons, it would be near impossible for [[The Brothers Chaps]] to keep the [[Homestar Runner universe]] completely consistent and have total continuity between cartoons. Because of this large size, various '''inconsistencies''' occur throughout the website and the DVDs. These are usually very minor.
==Appearances of Inconsistencies==

*[[Strong Mad]] — [[Strong Mad#Physical Statistics|His height]] is under constant scrutiny.
*[[Items#Strong Bad's Computers|Strong Bad's computers]] — Their capabilities tend to vary. [[Matt Chapman]] even points this out in the [[homestar hair#DVD Version|DVD commentary]] for [[homestar hair]].
**Email [[retirement]] — [[Strong Bad]] states that the [[Lappy 486|Lappy]] has a "5 meg hard-drive", although in [[animal]] it claimed to have only a 2 meg hard drive.

He also may have flubbed at least one line while recording; Gunhaver once forgot the Cheat Commando's slogan, "Rock, Rock on", for in place of it he said "Riggidy Roll". Gunhaver was corrected and flatly replied "Yeah, whatever it's riggidy roll from now on." Crack has been seen in a rap music video/public service announcement trying to convince kids not to play with too many knives and to inform them about Spring Break. Among his mission credits are: leading an action figure storage vehicle attack on [[Blue Laser]], leading a search party to uncover Blue Laser's [[Secret Desert Headquarters|secret desert headquarters]], and staving off the danger of Blue Laser saving money at [[Price Style]]. Certain parts of the cartoon [[Let us give TANKS!]] strongly suggest that the rest of the Cheat Commandos regard Gunhaver as possibly ''too'' enthusiastic about his duties.
He makes a cameo in an Easter egg in [[Teen Girl Squad Issue 7]].

As his name (pronounced as "Gun Havver") and a claim on his box each suggest, Gunhaver has a [[Gunhaver's Gun|semi-automatic pistol]]. The gun was seen hanging on the wall and labeled by [[Reynold]] in [[Shopping for Danger]]. Gunhaver was actually shown brandishing it (to the astonishment of [[Blue Laser Commander]]) in "Let us give TANKS!".

He apparently doesn't take his job too seriously, since he never seems to have a firm idea of how his character's name is correctly pronounced (He's pronounced it "Gun-hay-ver" and "Gun-shave-er"). He has also incorrectly referred to the cartoon as "the Cheat Command-show". He also is assumed to have forgotten the Cheat Commando's slogan, for in place of it he said "Riggidy Roll". He was corrected and flatly replied "Yeah, whatever it's riggidy roll from now on." He has been seen in a rap music video/public service announcement trying to convince kids not to play with too many knives and to inform them about Spring Break. He is also the national spokesperson of [[Pistols For Pandas]].

He's apparently a caucasian man in his twenties or thirties, has blond hair, and has a five o'clock shadow.

'''Blue Laser''' is an evil organization that is the sworn enemy of the [[Cheat Commandos]]. They plan to take over the planet using various schemes. Sometimes they are attacked by the Cheat Commandos, even if they are doing nothing wrong. They are a parody of [[Wikipedia:COBRA Organization|COBRA]], the principal evildoers of the [[Wikipedia:G. I. Joe|G. I. Joe]] cartoons, upon which Cheat Commandos is based. This can be seen in the fact that Blue Laser:

*Has a [[Blue Laser Commander|Commander]] with a high squeaky voice and a partially obscured face
*Threatens to blow up the ocean (as Cobra threatened to do in one G. I. Joe episode)
*Succeeds only in blowing up its own [[Blue Laser minion|minions]]
*Fires lasers of opposite color than the heroes (in this case, blue—the same color Cobra used in the G. I. Joe cartoon)
*Wears Cobra-inspired uniforms—blue bodysuits with their organization's logo positioned on the center of the chest

Blue Laser has a fairly high-tech operation, including a [[Blue Laser Supercomputer|supercomputer]] and apparantly a rather large laser tank fleet. Despite the possible technological edge that Blue Laser may have over the Cheat Commandos, they manage to fail horribly in everything they do.

==Evil Schemes==
As an evil league of violence, Blue Laser naturally has several plans for world domination. These plans are never successful, as they are always foiled due to the efforts of the Cheat Commandos, as well as their own ineptitude.

*In the original [[Cheat Commandos (toon)|Cheat Commandos Commercial]], Blue Laser builds and guards a radar dish, for unknown reasons. [[Reinforcements]] destroyed the radar dish with a devastating hit from his [[Justice Rocket Backpack Rocket Rocket]] that left a sole survivor.

*They also had a plan to blow up the ocean, "Operation Ocean Blow", as well as a plan code-named "Operation Don't Crush Ourselves", which seems to be a standing order not to cause [[Wikipedia:Friendly fire|friendly-fire]] incidents due to ineptitude. This plan also failed when [[Firebert]] detonated a mountain using TNT, causing a rockslide to crush two Blue Laser minions.

*Blue Laser unleashed their most deadly scheme in [[Cheat Commandos...O's]] when they faked a report of their secret desert base relocating to a secret desert, when in actuality, he had relocated to his [[Blue Laser Commander's Nana's Backyard|Nana's backyard]]. This plan almost succeeded, but then [[Crackotage]] dropped the Cheat Commandos a box of Cheat Commandos...O's sugar [[Breakfast Cereal|cereal]], saving them from exhaustion and leading them to the new hideout. Two minions were seen parachuting after a barbecue grill had exploded, parodying the way that no one would ever really die in a G. I. Joe cartoon.

*In [[Shopping for Danger]], their plan was to buy [[Grout Clean'r|cleaning products]] on Double Coupon Day at the [[Price Style|Price Style supermarket]]. The Cheat Commandos speculated that with the money that Blue Laser could save from the double coupons, they could buy deadly weapons that could turn babies into gold or screw with the weather to make it snow at the beach, thus destroying beach volleyball. In actuality, Blue Laser bought the Grout Clean'r because they thought the main reason they couldn't defeat the Cheat Commandos was mildew.

*In [[Commandos in the Classroom]], the [[Blue Laser Commander]] asks [[Firebert]] to smoke some candy (a chocolate bar) with him. His 'plan' fails when [[Silent Rip]] drops a smoke bomb and Firebert lays down some suppressive fire. Then, he almost gets hit by some surface-to-air antioxidant missiles which may have been fired by [[Reinforcements]] (who shows up right after the missiles).

*In [[Let us give TANKS!]], the 'evil scheme,' according to [[Gunhaver]], was to kidnap the Cheat Commandos and force them to sit down to dinner and pleasant conversation. He attempted to stop the plan by ambushing the party through the turkey they were planning to eat, but in actuality, the Blue Laser Commander had just invited them over for Thanksgiving dinner. Gunhaver was also invited, but Silent Rip didn't give him the invitation because he was afraid that he would do something exactly like he did. The Cheat Commandos won by default, but to add certainty to it, Gunhaver had set up a nuclear device in the oven, which went off and blew up the [[Blue Laser Cottage]].

*In [[An Important Rap Song]] the Blue Laser Commander's "scheme" somehow involved him taking off his pants. Gunhaver told him to "[get] your pants back on Blue Laser!". The commander than questioned how Gunhaver could refer to the garment as pants.

Joe|G. I. Joe]] cartoons, upon which Cheat Commandos is based. This can be seen in the fact that Blue Laser:

*Threatens to blow up the ocean (as Cobra threatened to do in one G. I. Joe episode)

Blue Laser has a fairly high-tech operation, including a [[Blue Laser Supercomputer|supercomputer]] and apparantly a rather large laser tank fleet. Despite the possible technological edge that Blue Laser may have over the Cheat Commandos, they manage to fail horribly in everything they do.

==Evil Schemes==
As an evil league of violence, Blue Laser naturally has several plans for world domination. These plans are never successful, as they are always foiled due to the efforts of the Cheat Commandos, as well as their own ineptitude.

*In the original [[Cheat Commandos (toon)|Cheat Commandos Commercial]], Blue Laser builds and guards a radar dish, for unknown reasons. [[Reinforcements]] destroyed the radar dish with a devastating hit from his [[Justice Rocket Backpack Rocket Rocket]] that left a sole survivor.

*They also had a plan to blow up the ocean, "Operation Ocean Blow", as well as a plan code-named "Operation Don't Crush Ourselves", which seems to be a standing order not to cause [[Wikipedia:Friendly fire|friendly-fire]] incidents due to ineptitude. This plan also failed when [[Firebert]] detonated a mountain using TNT, causing a rockslide to crush two Blue Laser minions.

*Blue Laser unleashed their most deadly scheme in [[Cheat Commandos...O's]] when they faked a report of their secret desert base relocating to a secret desert, when in actuality, he had relocated to his [[Blue Laser Commander's Nana's Backyard|Nana's backyard]]. This plan almost succeeded, but then [[Crackotage]] dropped the Cheat Commandos a box of Cheat Commandos...O's sugar [[Breakfast Cereal|cereal]], saving them from exhaustion and leading them to the new hideout. Two minions were seen parachuting after a barbecue grill had exploded, parodying the way that no one would ever really die in a G. I. Joe cartoon.

*In [[Shopping for Danger]], their plan was to buy [[Grout Clean'r|cleaning products]] on Double Coupon Day at the [[Price Style|Price Style supermarket]]. The Cheat Commandos speculated that with the money that Blue Laser could save from the double coupons, they could buy deadly weapons that could turn babies into gold or screw with the weather to make it snow at the beach, thus destroying beach volleyball. In actuality, Blue Laser bought the Grout Clean'r because they thought the main reason they couldn't defeat the Cheat Commandos was mildew.

*In [[Commandos in the Classroom]], the [[Blue Laser Commander]] asks [[Firebert]] to smoke some candy (a chocolate bar) with him. His 'plan' fails when [[Silent Rip]] drops a smoke bomb and Firebert lays down some suppressive fire. Then, he almost gets hit by some surface-to-air antioxidant missiles which may have been fired by [[Reinforcements]] (who shows up right after the missiles).

*In [[Let us give TANKS!]], the 'evil scheme,' according to [[Gunhaver]], was to kidnap the Cheat Commandos and force them to sit down to dinner and pleasant conversation. He attempted to stop the plan by ambushing the party through the turkey they were planning to eat, but in actuality, the Blue Laser Commander had just invited them over for Thanksgiving dinner. His Nana must be supportive of her son's (or some other relationship's) organization, for she allowed him to relocate the Blue Laser headquarters to her backyard. The direct order was disobeyed by the minion to which the commander replied "Understandable!"

Just about every sentence they say ends in "sir", whether or not it is actually addressed to a superior (or a man, for that matter). Each one speaks in the same monotone voice, a reference to the fact that, to this day, many cartoons use only one or two different voices for generic foot soldiers. While more recent cartoons have explained this phenomenon by claiming that all soldiers are robots programmed with the same voice (or are clones of the same person), viewers in the '80s were expected to ignore the fact that every single member of various armies sounded exactly the same. This was addressed in the recent Cheat Commandos episode [[Let us give TANKS!]], in which the Blue Laser Commander, frustrated by not being able to tell the difference between his different minions, throws a carving fork into the eye of one, and exclaims, "There! '''Blue Laser Minions''' are the foot soldiers of [[Blue Laser]], an organization of evil that does evil stuff for mysterious reasons. The minions are led by [[Blue Laser Commander]], but they are usually defeated by the [[Cheat Commandos]].

The Blue Laser minions wear blue bodysuits with the Blue Laser emblem on the chest, head visors, and blue patches on one arm. Just about every sentence they say ends in "sir", whether or not it is actually addressed to a superior (or a man, for that matter). Each one speaks in the same monotone voice, a reference to the fact that, to this day, many cartoons use only one or two different voices for generic foot soldiers. While more recent cartoons have explained this phenomenon by claiming that all soldiers are robots programmed with the same voice (or are clones of the same person), viewers in the '80s were expected to ignore the fact that every single member of various armies sounded exactly the same. This was addressed in the recent Cheat Commandos episode [[Let us give TANKS!]], in which the Blue Laser Commander, frustrated by not being able to tell the difference between his different minions, throws a carving fork into the eye of one, and exclaims, "There! Now you're the one with the fork stuck in your eye!"
