''{record scratch sound; music stops}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Your pathetic ''{cut back to wider shot, with Strong Bad now visible standing on a wooden chair}'' conversation ''pales'' in comparison to one you are about to be part of.

'''STRONG SAD:''' ''{sarcastically}'' Oh great, I can't wait.

''{close up of Strong Bad}''

''{cut back to Homestar}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' No, just "The Ledge".

''{wider shot of all three}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' The Ledge? Like ledge of a cliff?

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' You mean, like, short for leg?

''{close up of Strong Sad}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' A-''lleged'' ladies' man?
'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{annoyed}'' Short for leg?

''{shot of all three}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' No, you knee-wetters! No, short ''{cut to frontal shot of Strong Bad}'' for "The Legend"! As in, I am one! A living one! A -dary one!

''{shot of all three}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Oh, dairy. Like a cow. Like a cow leg.
''{close up of Homestar}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{excited and quivering}'' Oh, Strong Bad! It's like my cow lamp and your tape leg ''{picture of the [[cow lamp]] and Strong Bad's dismembered leg appear over Homestar's head}'' had a baby in my brain and just came out my mouth! ''{cloud marked "Cow Leg" comes out of Homestar's mouth}'' There, there, little guy. Daddy's here.

'''STRONG BAD:''' Teehee, it does tic&mdash;

==Easter Eggs==
*Click on "e" in end to see Strong Bad write his new title on a composition book.
*:'''STRONG BAD:''' This book belongs to: ''{he starts writing on the note area of the cover}'' The Ledge. ''{He spells "Ledge" as "LEG."}'' Aw, crap! Homestar was right! This just spells leg!
*Click on the period to see a poster for the Water on the Knee club. It has a cartoony picture of a knee with water being poured on it, with the caption "COMMIT TO IT!!". Text below the picture reads "Water on the Knee", "Paid for by the Wet Knee Gumption Club".
**Click again to see a Russian version of the poster. The cartoon is much more angular, and is coloured only in red and shades of grey. The caption now reads "ПередаЙТе <!--inconsistent capitalisation is sic--> ЭТО!!". The text below the picture is the same, but in a different font.

==Fun Facts==
===Explanations===
*[http://orthopedics.about.com/od/hipknee/f/swelling.htm Water on the knee] is a medical condition where excess fluid collects in the knee joint.
* The (grammatically incorrect) Russian phrase "Передайте Это!!" ("Peredajte Èto!!") on the second poster translates in English to "Transmit This!!"

=== Remarks ===
*The [[audio quality]] is higher than usual here.

=== Goofs ===
* Even after being poured on Strong Sad and Strong Bad's knees, the water level in the glass never goes down.

=== Inside References ===
*Strong Sad and Strong Bad [[Strong Bad Smiling|both]] [[Strong Sad Smiling|smile]] when they pour the water on their knees.
*This toon makes another reference to [[Tape-leg]], as well as Homestar's [[cow lamp]].

=== Real-World References ===
*"The Ledge" is possibly a reference to [[Wikipedia:The Edge|The Edge]], the guitarist of [[Wikipedia:U2|U2]].

'''BUBS:''' Well, hello, Marzi-person! Welcome back.

'''MARZIPAN:''' Well, howdy, stranger!

'''BUBS:''' Stranger? I'm Bubs, remember?

'''MARZIPAN:''' ''{unimpressed}'' Uh, I know. It's a joke.

'''BUBS:''' That's hilarious! How was your vacation?

'''MARZIPAN:''' It was toot sweet! I took the Cool Tapes on a midwestern tour ''{the tour map pops up}'' of bead shops and topiary gardens.

''{Cut to a topiary garden; Marzipan, Strong Mad and The Cheat are playing in the band}''

'''MARZIPAN:''' ''{singing}''
:Cool tapes are cool, and we're better than ever,
:Cool tapes are cool, 'cause we're light as a feather.
:Keep it down with that real cool flavor,
:Me and The Cheat and our bass player.
:Rockin' the spot.
:Yeah, we're rockin' the spot.

''{Marzipan appears behind a topiary tree shaped like William Shakespeare.}''

'''MARZIPAN:''' Thanks, y'all! And don't forget we've got cool 7-inches for sale over at our merch table.

''{Cut to the merchandise table. Homsar is standing on it, it has a sign reading "Merch Masala" and another reading "Steven Inches $<span style="font: italic 120% serif">[[Pi|&pi;]]</span>"}''

'''HOMSAR:''' I'm a little light in the leftovers!

''{Homsar's hat flies off the left of the screen, then returns from the right and hits him on the head before settling back into its original position. Cut back to Bubs and Marzipan at the coffee table.}''

'''BUBS:''' I bet you drove the shap&egrave;d plants wild.

'''MARZIPAN:''' Yeah, they were way into it. So what did you do?

'''BUBS:''' I drove my baloney sandwich truck down to the beach.

''{Cut to the tropical island. Bubs's "Baloney Sammich Truck", which resembles an ice-cream truck, doesn't quite fit, and the rear wheels are in the water.}''

'''BUBS:''' BAH-loh-NEH!!! Come on, people! Come on, palm tree! I'm-tryingtosellabaloneysammich!

''{An Atari seagull squawks and flies past.}''

'''BUBS:''' ''{angrily to Atari seagull}'' You shut your face!

''{Cut back to the coffee table.}''

'''BUBS:''' I sold exactly zero baloney sandwiches!

'''MARZIPAN:''' Well, that's great!

'''BUBS:''' Yeah, it was pretty much my best summer ever.

'''STRONG SAD:''' ''{walks in}'' Same here. I spent two glorious weeks at Gluten Camp. I learned more about this oft-misunderstood plant protein than I ever thought possible.

'''THE KING OF TOWN:''' What''eva!'' ''{puts a time card in the time clock}'' I was across the lake at Glutton Camp. And we challenged those pansies to an obstacle course!

''{Cut to the obstacle course, pan across to see Strong Sad and the King of Town stuck in two tire swings.}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' Well, should we call it a draw?

'''THE KING OF TOWN:''' Hecks, no! I got stuck in here 10 minutes before you!

''{Pan across to Coach Z.}''

'''COACH Z:''' Let's go, Glorten Camp! Glorten Camp is pain and scranin' on yous!

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' Oh yeah?

''{cut back to the coffee table}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Well while you slo-mos were slounching around on your haunchy laurels, I was checking the most amazing email of my career!

''{Cut through static to Strong Bad, holding the Lappy, on a plane. Screen markers and a recording light are visible, as though viewed through a camcorder. Strong Bad leans in and adjusts the focus.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' All right, Lappy, when I mash record on that camera, we're gonna perform the world's first death-defying midair SBEmail check! We'll make the cover of all the latest blogs! Now, are you psyched?! I'm psyched, are you psyched?!? OK, 3! 2! 1!

''{Strong Bad leans in and presses a button on the camera. Cut through static to Strong Bad standing on the ground. The camera drops to the ground and slowly falls over.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Oh, the believing is hard to be doing, because that was so incredible! We met so many celebrities in midair! And the part with the narwhale<!--sic--> was ''so'' illegal.

''{Cut through static to Strong Bad, back at the coffee table}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Oh, cuh-rap! What am I, your dad? I can't believe I pulled the old "mash Stop when you think you're mashing Record and mash Record when you think you're mashing Stop" routine on myself.

'''MARZIPAN:''' But if we've all been on vacation, who's been taking care of the website?

''{Homestar Runner walks in, tired, wearing a dressing gown, a nightcap and Nebulon slippers, with a cinnamon 5 o'clock shadow.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{yawns}'' What's up, my brothers? Let no one say the Homestar Runner don't know how to nap. What is it, like mid-May or something?

'''STRONG BAD:''' Uh, try "early July."

''{Zoom in.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Aah! I slept through June!

'''STRONG BAD:''' Yup.

''{Zoom in even tighter.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Aah! -gatha Christie would never sleep through June... neither would Angela Lansbury.

'''STRONG BAD:''' Aren't they the same person?

'''BUBS:''' Yeah.

'''KING OF TOWN:''' Yep.

'''MARZIPAN:''' I think they are.

'''STRONG SAD:''' Yes, they definitely are.

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Well, it's settled then. Now, what's this I hear about some of you guys sleeping through June? I'll let it slide this time, but June-sleepers will not be tolerated from this day henceforth. Now, whose turn was it to ''{rolls the "r"}'' bring the doughnuts?

'''EVERYONE BUT HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Yours!

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Well, I'll let it slide this time, but dough-not rememberers will dough-not be tolerated from now on. All right, everybody, everybody. It's time to get this www-dot-show back on the road-dot-com. Now, places! Aaand...
On the bottom it lists the songs ''Sweet Cups and Cakes'' by Wheelchair Man, ''Eh, Steve's Dream'' by Eh, Steve!, and ''Talkin' Trying to Catch a Worm Blues'' by Fresh Juice.
* During the close-up after the King of Town first appears, click on his crown to see his "I'm with Glutton Camp" [[T-shirt]].
* Click on the left "everybody" at the end of the toon to see what Pom Pom and The Poopsmith presumably did during their summer vacation.
The Poopsmith is wearing Strong Bad's [[Cool Shades|Dangeresque sunglasses]], and Pom Pom is wearing Homestar's Dangeresque sunglasses. After a few moments, a thought cloud appears and reveals that Pom Pom is thinking of a baloney sandwich. Another one appears shortly afterwards and shows that the Poopsmith is too.}''

==Fun Facts==

===Explanations===
*This toon followed the birth of [[Mike Chapman]]'s daughter, [[Very, Very Little Girl]], in the late spring/early summer of 2006, during which time the site went nearly seven weeks (48 days) without a major update, the longest hiatus on record. There were various minor updates during this period, but no toons.
*"Toot sweet" is a play on the French phrase ''"tout de suite"'' (which translates to "immediately" or "at once"). Both phrases are pronounced roughly the same. "Toot sweet" was also the name of the candy product invented by Caractacus Potts in [[Wikipedia:Chitty Chitty Bang Bang|Chitty Chitty Bang Bang]].
*The Baloney Truck is a spoof on the [[Wikipedia:Ice cream truck|Ice Cream Truck/Van]], which is popular in some parts of the world.
*A 7-inch record is a single.
*The [[Cool Tapes]] tour goes through East Westerburg, Beadsburg, Bead Store City, Sculpted Busheston, New Beadshop, Topiarianapolis, Beeeeeds, and Tope Gardens. Other towns on the map are Northtime, [[Pants]]burg, Shoigut, [[Bill Cosby|Thuxtable]], and The Slickster.
*There are trees in the topiary garden shaped as an ice-cream cone, [[Trogdor]], a tree stump, and [[Wikipedia:William Shakespeare|William Shakespeare]].
*According to the sign on the side of Bubs's [[Baloney Sammich Truck]], he's selling:
**"Gumball Surprise"&ndash; A baloney sandwich with a pink gumball on top.
**"Open Smiley Face"&ndash; An open baloney sandwich with a smiley face drawn on it in mustard.
**"I Heart Baloney"&ndash; A baloney sandwich with heart-shaped bread.
**"Dog Food"&ndash; A baloney sandwich with bone-shaped bread.
**"It's Not a Real Popsicle" &ndash; A baloney sandwich with Popsicle-shaped bread.
**"Inside Out"&ndash; A piece of bread between two slices of baloney.
*Strong Bad's account of what happened during his "Skydive" makes it clear that he made up the entire event, another example of [[blatant lies]].
*In the DVD commentary on Strong Bad Email [[island]], Matt said they should use the island again. In addition to this cartoon, they already reused it in [[disconnected]].

===Remarks===
*[[Wikipedia:Agatha Christie|Agatha Christie]] and [[Wikipedia:Angela Lansbury|Angela Lansbury]] are not, in fact, the same person. Christie was a crime fiction author, and Lansbury is an actress famous for ''playing'' a crime fiction author on ''[[Wikipedia:Murder, She Wrote|Murder, She Wrote]]''. Lansbury ''did'', however, play Christie's fictional sleuth [[Wikipedia:Miss Marple|Miss Marple]] in the movie adaptation of Christie's ''[[Wikipedia:The Mirror Crack'd|The Mirror Crack'd]]''.
*The spelling ''narwhale'' and Strong Bad's pronunciation of it are accepted variants; the more common spelling is ''narwhal''.
*When we see the back of the Lappy, it has none of the connection ports from [[isp]], but it is possible that Strong Bad's glove may be covering them.
*Homestar effectively rolls the "r" when saying "whose turn was it to bring the donuts" despite his speech impediment.
*The minute hand on the time clock is too long to point to 6 or 12.
*At the end, if you look below the "everybody, everybody" words, you will see that The Cheat is floating and not touching the ground.
*When Strong Bad is in the plane, the plane is bumping up and down, yet Strong Bad is not.

===Goofs===
*When Marzipan's angry expression is used, blinking causes her outline to be intruded.
*When Cool Tapes plays in the Topiary Garden, no amplifiers are present. Yet, when it closes up on Marzipan in the following shot, a "Marzipan" amplifier is present behind her.
*In the last scene, The Cheat and Strong Mad suddenly appear after Homestar asks whose turn it was to bring the donuts.

===Inside References===
* [[Pants]]burg is one of the [[Strong Bad's Vacation Spots|places Strong Bad visited]] on his [[vacation]], and one of the places (along with Northtime and Shoigut) in [[Limozeen]]'s [[Limozeen#Zeenin' Across the Country 2001|Zeenin' Across the Country tour]].
* Strong Bad's line, "I can't believe I pulled the 'Mash stop when you think you're mashing record, and mash record when you think you're mashing stop' on myself", is a reference to [[mashing]].
* The Atari seagull first appeared in [[huttah!]] and [[take-a-break.exe]].
* Marzipan's [[Cool Tapes]] band comes from [[Cool Things]].
* The toon's title contains the word [[Unusual Greetings#Weclome|Weclome]].
* Bubs' line "shapèd plants" (notably parallel in structure with the line "stripèd pants" from [[highschool]]), is an instance of the [[-èd]] pronunciation.
* One of the places the Cool Tapes band visits is East Westerburg. Westerberg (spelled slightly differently) was visited in [[Thy Dungeonman 3]], and it was to the east of the player's starting location.
* The Poopsmith is wearing what appears to be [[Strong Bad]]'s [[Dangeresque (character)|Dangeresque]] [[Cool Shades|sunglasses]], and Pom Pom is wearing [[Dangeresque Too]]'s sunglasses.
* In addition to the two ropes attaching the tire swings to the tree at the obstacle course, a third rope hangs from the sky and sways gently, as did the rope featured in [[A Folky Tale]].
* The "Gumball Surprise" is another example of a [[concoction]].
* Homestar's sleeping through June is similar to how he slept through most of Decemberween in [[Homestar Presents: Presents]].
* The Eh! Steve song "Sweet Cups and Cakes" refers to [[Sweet Cuppin' Cakes]], from which he originated.
* "Fresh Juice" (from the Eh! Steve album) is one of the suggested death metal lyrics from the worksheet in [[death metal]].
* Homestar is wearing [[cinnamon]] on his face, and his slippers resemble [[Nebulon]], who first appeared on [[Main Page 1]].
* Marzipan's comment, "Who's been taking care of the website?" is an example of [[Fourth Wall Breaks|breaking the fourth wall]].
* Strong Bad says "Oh, [[Crap|cuh-rap]]!"
* Bubs proclaims that this was his [[Best/Worst X Ever|best summer ever]].
* A seven inch record was seen in [[Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 13.2]].
===Real-World References===
*The city "The Slickster" (as seen on the Cool Tapes tour map) is a reference to former [[Wikipedia:World Wrestling Entertainment|WWE]] manager [[Wikipedia:Ken Johnson (wrestling)|Ken Johnson]], whose ring name was Slick and often called "The Slickster" by the commentators.
*The city of "Thuxtable" is a reference to Theo Huxtable, a character on [[Wikipedia:The Cosby Show|The Cosby Show]]. Theo Huxtable was previously referenced in [[Halloween Potion-ma-jig]], when Coach Z dressed up like him.
*The design of the Cool Tapes Marzipan amps is based on the design of the classic [[Wikipedia:Marshall Amplification|Marshall Amp]]. It was previously seen in [[different town]]. Marshall is a famous brand of guitar amp that became synonymous with heavy metal and rock bands.
*The page title references the John E. Sebastian song "Welcome Back," which was the theme song from the sitcom ''[[Wikipedia:Welcome Back, Kotter|Welcome Back, Kotter]]'' ("Welcome back / Your dreams were your ticket out...").
*Athletic competitions between summer camps occupying the same campground are common in family movies and cartoons. Some examples include the movies ''[[Wikipedia:Heavyweights|Heavyweights]]'' and ''[[Wikipedia:Meatballs (film)|Meatballs]]''.
*The "Freewheelin' Eh! Steve" album cover is a reference to [[Wikipedia:Bob Dylan|Bob Dylan's]] early album, ''[[Wikipedia:The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan|The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan]]''. In addition, "Eh! Steve's Dream" is a reference to the Dylan song ''Bob Dylan's Dream'' and "Talkin' Trying to Catch a Worm Blues" refers to Dylan's song ''Talkin' World War III Blues''.
*Homestar's green ribcage [[Homestar Runner's Sleepwear|shirt]] is a reference to the movie ''[[Spinal Tap|This Is Spinal Tap]]'', in which [[Wikipedia:Nigel Tufnel|Nigel Tufnel]] wears the same shirt and later remarks "This is what I sleep in sometimes".
**The Eh! Steve song "Sweet Cups and Cakes" is likely a ''This Is Spinal Tap'' reference as well, since "Cups and Cakes" is the name of a Spinal Tap song.
*Strong Mad's violin styled bass bears a resemblance to the [[Wikipedia:Hofner|Hofner]] bass played by [[Wikipedia:Paul McCartney|Paul McCartney]]. However, Strong Mad plays right handed, while Paul is left-handed.
*The sign on the merchandise table that reads "Merch Masala" refers to Mirch Masala, an Indian restaurant in Decatur, Georgia. Interestingly, Mirch Masala is also the name of a [[Wikipedia:Mirch Masala|1985 Hindi movie]].
*Strong Sad's "I'm with gluten camp" T-shirt is a play on the popular [[Wikipedia:1980s|'80s]] "I'm with stupid" T-shirts.
*[[Wikipedia:Gluten|Gluten]] is a protein that makes up 80% of the protein in wheat.
=== Commentary Transcript ===
('''Commentary by:''' [[Mike Chapman]], [[Matt Chapman]])

'''MATT:''' This cartoon is called Weclome Back, and weclome ''you'' back&mdash;

'''MIKE:''' Yeah

'''MATT:''' &mdash;to more commenting... aries.

'''MIKE:''' Did you ever have to punch a time clock at any of your jobs?

'''MATT:''' I did. At, uh... uh... United Artists Theater I worked at.

'''MIKE:''' I had to do it once too, when I worked in that warehouse.

'''MATT:''' Mm-hmm.

'''MIKE:''' It made me feel like the common man.

'''MATT:''' Yeah. Wasn't there something&mdash; It made me feel like that&mdash; the sheep and the wolf from those Looney Tunes cartoons. Wasn't theirs just kind of on a pole like that?

'''MIKE:''' Yeah, I think so. ''{pause}'' So this was the second version of this song. There was a much darker... version of the Cool&mdash;

'''MATT:''' Sonic Youth-ier version.

'''MIKE:''' Yeah.

'''MATT:''' "Stop creepin' at me" is how it ends. ''{pause}'' We did that as a Quote of the Day, I think, didn't we?

'''MIKE:''' Yeah, we did. And Mirch Masala is an Indian restaurant about half a mile from here.

'''MATT:''' Yeah. Except it's M-I-R... C-H.

'''MIKE:''' Oh, right. Right.

'''MATT:''' Right.

'''MIKE:''' Hence the joke.

'''MATT:''' Exactly. There's an Easter egg there of "The Freewheelin' Eh, Steve". What's that?

'''MIKE:''' Oh, yeah. ''{pause}'' Kinda wish there was a baloney sandwich truck. We should try to convince our friend, Matt, to, uh... have a baloney sandwich truck.

'''MATT:''' Yeah. ''{laughing}'' Look at that one that looks like&mdash; looks like a double Popsicle.

'''MIKE:''' ''{laughs}''

'''MATT:''' So the ''bread'' is cut to look like a double Popsicle, and then there's just baloney.

'''MIKE:''' ''{partially over Matt's previous comment}'' And then there's a piece of baloney in it.

'''MATT:''' That's great. ''{pause}'' What did ''you'' learn about... gluten, Mike, when you decided&mdash; did you do any wiki research for gluten?

'''MIKE:''' I think I did, it's, uh... Yeah, what, like, bread?

'''MATT:''' Mm-hmm.

'''MIKE:''' Yeast...

'''MATT:''' Is it pro-biotic?

'''MIKE:''' I don't know. A lot of people were&mdash; Right after this... I found out a lot of people go on no-gluten diets.

'''MATT:''' Really?

'''MIKE:''' Guess it's bad, yeah. Some...

'''MATT:''' So, I was pr&mdash;

'''MIKE:''' Nice 3D tire swings, Matt.

'''MATT:''' Thanks. I was proud of that.

'''MIKE:''' Yeah. ''{pause}'' That, uh, "I'm With Gluten Camp" shirt is sort of loosely based on, uh &mdash; just the colors of it &mdash; the, uh, Science Olympiad shirts that I think I got in sixth grade. It was this... light yellow shirt with a blue Science Olympiad logo.

'''MATT:''' ''{laughs}''

''{pause}''

'''MATT:''' That looks like one of those helmets that babies have to wear when they smoosh their head too much on one side.

'''MIKE:''' Yeah.

'''MATT:''' I did some nice stretchy, perspective-y&mdash;

'''MIKE:''' Arms.

'''MATT:''' &mdash;arms for Strong Bad there, too.

''{pause}''

'''MIKE:''' Says talk. Say talk, Matt!

'''MATT:''' Uh, well... what is he..?

'''MIKE:''' Did you ever pull that trick? The old record&mdash;

'''MATT:''' Well, I'll tell you who ''did'' pull that trick was this guy, ''Justin'', from high school&mdash;

'''MIKE:''' That's right.

'''MATT:''' &mdash;when me and Jamie's... hip hop band, Two Copies Sealed, was s'posed to play at the battle of the bands. It would've been the only video evidence that that band ever existed.

'''MIKE:''' Hey, I was in that band.

'''MATT:''' I know. You were on stage playing bass.

'''MIKE:''' ''{laughing}'' As a sophomore in college I was playing a high school battle of the bands.

'''MATT:''' ''{laughs}'' You were pretty cool.

'''MIKE:''' I was very cool. We were playing&mdash; We played a nice Jackson 5 cover, though.

'''MATT:''' Yeah, and A Tribe Called Quest cover.

'''MIKE:''' Did we? What'd we do?

'''MATT:''' We did, um, Check the Rhyme.

'''MIKE:''' Really? I don't even remember that.

'''MATT:''' Yeah. You and Gabe&mdash; Gabe got up and&mdash;

'''MIKE:''' Ah, nice.

'''MATT:''' He did the&mdash;

'''MIKE:''' I wish&mdash; I would remember that&mdash;

'''MATT:''' If ''Justin'' had remembered&mdash;

'''MIKE:''' &mdash;if ''Justin'' hadn't done the old&mdash;

'''MATT:''' It was&mdash; Seriously, it was, like, it was, like, you saw, like, a couple of his friends' faces that he was standing next to, and then, like, his feet, like, as you can hear us, like, walking off stage.

'''MIKE:''' ''{laughs}''

'''MATT:''' Were the two cuts. It was the most generic thing ever. ''{pause}'' Homestar's wearin' the&mdash; Nigel Tufnel's&mdash;

'''MIKE:''' ''{impersonating Nigel Tufnel}'' This is my exact bone structure.

'''MATT:''' ''{impersonating Nigel Tufnel}'' His exact inner structure.

'''MIKE:''' ''{continuing to impersonate Nigel Tufnel}'' Done in a T-shirt.

''{pause}''

'''MATT:''' So, really... Mike had a baby.

'''MIKE:''' Yeah.

'''MATT:''' It wasn't that Homestar went to sleep for a long time.

'''MIKE:''' ''{partially over Matt's previous comment}'' No, that was the, uh... the baby break number one.

'''MATT:''' Yeah.

''{pause}''

'''MATT:''' ''{singing}'' Oh, oh, oh! Tallahassee fade, Tallahassee fade, Tallahassee fade, Tallahassee fade!

''{Mike begins making percussion noises as Matt sings}''

Pat: /* The Wii Version */

== How long has it been and is it relevant? ==
What I'm saying is has the "Children's book world" become relevant enough for mention, if it doesn't have its own page already? I know that the characters are mentioned (see [[Prince of Town]] ), but what about the universe? Also on top of that, was this last seen in sbemail 150 or after that? Thanks. [[User:Stinkoblade|Stinkoblade]] 14:10, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

This was last seen in sbemail "hundreth." It's been there since the tandy 365. On a side note, I was trying to make this for a while, but It wouldn't let me. The website just sent me to my website editor and didn't even let me do anything.[[User:F123979|F123979]]

How many times was it actually seen though is my question. I can only think of 3 off the top of my head [[origins]], [[alternate universe]], and sbemail 100. That isn't counting this short, and also not counting the versions of the actual books available on the site, which have a similar animation style but different scenery in the background. [[User:Stinkoblade|Stinkoblade]] 14:26, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
:I would point you to [[Storybook World]] for all the answers you see. {{User:Flashfight/sig}} 14:42, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
::That actually isn't mentioned under the big list in [[Homestar Runner universe]], nor could I find it when I searched.....odd. Next Time, I'll use the wiki internal search engine. Anyway, yeah that was what I was asking about. [[User:Stinkoblade|Stinkoblade]] 14:47, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
::: I fixed it! {{User:Wbwolf/sig}} 15:49, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

==New Stuff goof?==
While checking to make sure [[New Stuff]] list was trimmed, I noticed that another entry for this toon was located at the bottom of the list as well as the top. Should this mentioned here or over on the [[New Stuff]] page? {{User:Wbwolf/sig}} 15:49, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
I just removed this... if there was *ever* such a thing as a "TTATOT" fact, *this* is it. Given the context, I can't see it referring to *any* of these things, especially considering this is *already covered in Explanations*. -{{User:YK/sig}} 21:00, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
: I'd imagine it's one of those (I would guess the clothing retailer) but the fact that there are three Land's' Ends signifies that we should treat it as TTATOT unless we know for sure, agreed. --{{User:Jay/sig}} 21:03, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
:: The reason we exclude most TTATOTs is because if something could refer to many things (and especially if these things are a stretch), then it probably refers to nothing in particular. That said, TBC didn't make up the term and in this case were more than likely intending to refer to ''something'', which is notable in the article. There's got to be a way to include it that either acknowledges the ambiguity or goes with the most popular use of the term. Perhaps we could pick the best one and also link to the disambiguation page:
:::''[[Wikipedia:Lands' End|Lands' End]] is a clothing retailer that specializes in casual clothing, luggage, and home furnishings. The term also has several [[Wikipedia:Land's End (disambiguation)|other uses]].''
::[[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 21:44, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
:::It's as likely as not, however, that the reference is simply to "Land sakes" and they chose a common similar phrase, without having any real thought that it was one of any of the possible meanings over another. Certainly none of the suggested Lands Ends bear any semantic relationship to the plot. I say no mention, save here, unless we learn otherwise that it was intended to reference one of them. {{User:Qermaq/sig}} 21:50, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

:::Dot com is correct in that, if the Lands Ends have different origins and one is most likely, it's not really TTATOT. The question is a) which is most likely (though consensus seems to be on the clothing manufacturer) and b) are the origins really different (At least between the clothes and Cornwall, I don't know, actually... but they're probably different enough anyway that we could stick with one.) If we accept those premises, then it's a special case of not-quite-TTATOT that is different from a true TTATOT. --{{User:Jay/sig}} 21:54, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
::::I think the question needs to be whether we think TBC used the phrase intentionally. If the consensus is that it's more likely than not, then we need a link pointing somewhere, even if we're wrong in our guess (which is why we'd also include the disambig). I think it's more likely than not. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 21:59, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
:::::I'm confident it's referring to the clothing retailer because a shirt had just shown up. It's like the mailman showing up with the stuff you ordered from the catalog. {{User:ACupOfCoffee/sig}}
::::::Ah... I'm shocked it took this long for anyone to point that out, actually... --{{User:Jay/sig}} 22:06, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
:::::::Hmm. Makes sense, I suppose. Still, it's kind of a stretch, and I'm more apt to believe it's a play on the expression (which was listed in Explanations, until an IP removed it). At any rate, it's *certainly* not referring to "a part of Cornwall" or "a location in Super Mario RPG". -{{User:YK/sig}} 22:20, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
::::::::I thought it was a reference to the clothing company anyway, but ACupOfCoffee's point completely convinces me. {{User:Trey56/sig}} 22:30, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
:::::::::I still feel it is only as likely as not, not more. And I don't argue that they "accidentally" used something that means a bunch of things, I think they as likely as not used it for its phonetic comic value without regard to its semantic value whatsoever. While the "clothing delivery" argument is cute, it doesn't compel me. {{User:Qermaq/sig}} 22:37, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
:::::::::Land's end the clothing retailer is by far the most common appearance of this phrase today, and I immediately got a chuckle out of it as I saw TBC using this clothing retailer's name as an exclamation due to its similarity to exclamations like "land sakes!". I don't think this fact is at all dubious. --[[User:Tim333]] 01:14 15 April 2008 (UTC)
::::::::::I agree with both Tim here and Dot com. And anyone else posing an agreement here. If anything, it's most likely the clothes thingie. --[[User:DorianGray|DorianGray]] 05:22, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
:::::::::::I too echo Tim.-[[User:DAGRON|DAGRON]] 06:01, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
::::::::::::Well, the "dubious" part of the fact was that there were so many possibilities, all of which were listed in the article. Three there, *and* one in Explanations. This fact getting added back in a condensed form won't hurt my feelings any, if it's more "absolute". There needed, more than anything, to be a consensus of what it *was* referring to, as there was no way it referred to all four (rather, it *does* seem like a combination of "land sakes!" and the clothing company, given the context), and I can't think of any reason whatsoever why we should include a Wikipedia disambig link for "other uses" of the term. We didn't do that for "[[Talk:nightlife#Soma|Soma]]" back in [[nightlife]] (we didn't even include *one* use of it *there*), so there's no reason we should do it *here*, either. -{{User:YK/sig}} 06:20, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
== The Wii Version ==

Since my Lappy's Flash player might still be bloken I had to watch this thing on the Wii Internet Channel. I noticed all the onscreen text, including the words on the covers and the Compy, turned invisable and the final scene was 3 people, floppy discs, and a computer screen floating in white space. Are these flaws notable, or were they caused by the dated Flash player again? [[User:Bad Bad Guy|Bad Bad Guy]] 21:40, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
:As a general rule, failure to work in an old Flash player isn't notable. If it failed to work in the current Flash player, that would be notable. {{User:Qermaq/sig}} 21:46, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
::Opera (The Wiinet browser, if nobody knew that) is Flash 7 (or maybe 8) standard and hasn't been able to run any toons successfully for me in a least 3 weeks. I'm not counting anything released before 3 weeks ago and I haven't tried the newest sbemails yet. I think the TBC upgraded. Also, it can't run game demos on GameStop.com, if the game has one. [[User:Stinkoblade|Stinkoblade]] 21:57, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
:::I don't see what the problem could be. If toons worked before, and TBC used Flash 8 (for compression) then, why haven't they been working as of late?
::::It's entirely possible that they're using Flash CS3 now. -[[User:Pat|Pat]] 08:54, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

== Move? ==

Since the Toons Menu simply calls this, "[[Homestar Gets Something Stuck In His Craw]]", should we move this article to that name? If I must bring up a past example, we called the 10th anniversary special by its menu title ([[Strongest Man in the World]]) instead of its title card title ([[The Homestar Runner Enters the Strongest Man in the World Contest]]). [[User:Bad Bad Guy|Bad Bad Guy]] 22:49, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
:I don't know, I'd say we should keep it the same. In the toon itself, it says, "The Homestar Runner Gets Something Stuck In his Craw." The Toons menu might just have it shortened so that it can fit. {{User:Saddy_Dumpington/sig}} 22:54, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
::Leaving it under this name would be inconsistent with my past example. Do you want the 10th anniversary article to be moved? [[User:Bad Bad Guy|Bad Bad Guy]] 23:01, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
:::[http://www.bartleby.com/59/3/foolishconsi.html A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.] This is a fancy way of saying it's not always smart to be perfectly consistent. As Saddy suggests, this longer title would not likely have fit on the toons page. Furthermore, the character in the book is consistently called "The Homestar Runner" with the integral article, and the current title is consistent with that. By contrast, having the 10th anniversary toon at [[Strongest Man in the World]] avoids the ambiguity with [[Original Book]], and thus there's a good reason to use the toons menu title here. {{User:Heimstern Läufer/sig}} 23:07, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
::::One of the problems with choosing the Toons menu as our standard is that it's ''our'' standard, but not necessarily TBC's. I'm not saying we should abandon our standard completely, merely that we should know when is the best time to deviate from it. I think this is one such time. "Homestar Gets..." just seems incomplete compared to "The Homestar Runner Gets..." &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 23:18, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

'''They Might Be Giants''' is an alternative rock band that has collaborated with [[The Brothers Chaps]] on several occasions.

The story of the Homestar Runner collaboration:
<blockquote>"It was very circuitous. ... A photograph was taken of me wearing a Homsar shirt, which is one of the more obscure characters in Homestar. I was at an in-store thing wearing this shirt and a fan had taken a photograph of me signing their book or whatever, and the photograph of me showed up in some blog, and somebody made them aware of it. They were like, 'Hey look, they're wearing your shirt, you guys,' and so [the Brothers Chaps] knew that we were fans. And I guess Linnell kind of reached out to them and said, 'You know, if there's anything you want us to do, if you have any musical needs for your site or whatever, we'd be certainly happy to help you guys out,' and they took us up on that offer. We did a bunch of things with them &mdash; we did a jam session with the Homestar puppet, and they did this video for 'Experimental Film' &mdash; and it's kind of a mutual admiration society. We really enjoy what they do." &mdash;&nbsp;John Flansburgh from an interview in the [http://www.tucsonweekly.com/gbase/music/Content?oid=oid:59640 Tucson Weekly], 19 August 2004</blockquote>
'''Batman-Style Announcer''' &mdash; appears in [[fingers]], [[alternate universe]], [[Accent]], [[cliffhangers]]<br>
'''Cheat Commandos Announcer''' &mdash; appears in [[Cheat Commandos (toon)|Cheat Commandos]], [[Cheat Commandos...O's]], [[Shopping for Danger]], [[Blue Laserdisc Challenge]]<br>
'''Profit Announcer''' &mdash; appears in [[Senor Mortgage]], [[Senorial Day]], [[theme song]]<br>
'''Urban-type Announcer''' &mdash; appears in [[Teen Girl Squad Issue 13|TGS Issue 13]], [[diorama]]<br>
'''Cold Ones (and Blubb-O's?) Announcer''' &mdash; appears (in a tough-guy-like voice) in [[business trip]], [[buried]], and (in an easy, low voice) in [[nightlife]], [[Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 15.2]], and [[Blubb-O's Commercial]].
Under "Explanations", it says, "as well as the fact that breaded fish used in sandwiches are usually cut in a triangular shape."
However, this isn't correct. Most fish cuts used in fast food sandwiches are square, not triangular. {{unsigned|69.92.186.96|21:42, 10 March 2008 (UTC)}}
== Benihana? ==

I think this reference needs STUFFing. I've never heard of this restaurant before now, and I couldn't find any vegetable-flying references on their website (or on the Wikipedia article). Also, I'm pretty sure I've seen that type of vegetable washing and chopping effect on other commercials for fast-food restaurants. Can't remember which ones off the top of my head though. --[[User:Lukeonia1|Lukeonia1]] 05:21, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
:I've been to a similar restaurant and if the vegetables were washed it was before I got there. They were chopped, though, only a moment before they were given to me. {{User:ACupOfCoffee/sig}} 07:39, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
::I'm not aware of a Benihana ad that features mid-air vegetable slicing, and I'm fairly sure the chefs would rarely, if ever, do this in the restaurant. I've been to plenty of similar hibachi restaurants, and the closest I've seen is breaking an egg by throwing it across the edge of a turner. However, the [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=Blubb-O%27s_Commercial&diff=550182&oldid=550178 reversion of the Benihana fact] invoked TTATOT and only gave one example. Haven't we stopped doing this yet?! One false association and one legit association do not make a TTATOT!
::The legit association ironically mentioned in the same edit comment is a Burger King commercial from the early 1990s. I remember that commercial, although I couldn't state with absolute certainty whether it was Burger King or McDonald's. Either way, this bit is a ''direct'' rip-off. Solid black background, cascading sheet of water with vegetables passing through it in slow motion, followed by kitchen knives slicing them in mid-air. It's exactly the same. I remember the slices then landing slowly and perfectly on the waiting patty, and I also remember idly wondering how the onions became rings when they were only sliced once. I just wish I could find a copy of it online for reference.
::I'm adding the fact in as a direct reference to the Burger King commercial. If anyone remembers better than I do that it was a different restaurant, fix it, but please do not remove it as TTATOT unless you can cite at least two specific commercials that are equally similar to the toon. --[[User:TheNicestGuy|TheNicestGuy]] 20:54, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
:::And again removed as TTATOT with no further examples. Thanks, Wbwolf. --[[User:TheNicestGuy|TheNicestGuy]] 13:26, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
::::Listen, a lot of commercials do montages like that, it's not specific at all to burger king. {{User:DeFender1031/sig}} 13:28, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
:::::What I'm saying is that there was a single commercial that this one mimics shot-for-shot. Exactly the same background, layout, and action. Probably even the same vegetables. It's extremely unlikely that there was more than one ''that'' similar to this toon, because there would have been lawsuits. I remember the visuals vividly; am I the only one?
:::::But more to the point, still no other specific examples of commercials similar to this have been given. One person remembers one source that's exactly the same, while multiple people supposedly know multiple sources that are vaguely the same, but can't be bothered to say what they are? How does that qualify as TTATOT? Do you really know other commercials that have shots of vegetables flying through a sheet of water followed by shots of them being sliced midair? I'll be overjoyed to put this to rest if you do. --[[User:TheNicestGuy|TheNicestGuy]] 13:56, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
::::::You claim that it is exactly hte same, right down to the background. Is there a youtube vid of it somewhere that we can use for comparison? If this is true that it is EXACTLY the same, then i'll concede. {{User:DeFender1031/sig}} 14:20, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
:::::::I wish, but I looked hard and found neither video nor screenshots. If no one else remembers this ad and seconds me, then it is conceivable I've just lost my mind. I lost it pretty good, though. I think it was from that period when Burger King was doing commercials that were shots of food over 70's and 80's songs (like "Good Morning, Starshine" and "I Melt With You"), because it was certainly a similar visual style. But on the other hand I seem to remember it had a voiceover (which those did generally did not), so it may have been earlier. --[[User:TheNicestGuy|TheNicestGuy]] 15:25, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
'''ANNOUNCER:''' Come the heck down to Blubb-O's and try your dang self the Blubb-O's Classic.

'''ANNOUNCER:''' And the Isosceles Fish Sandwich. Wait, fish sandwich? ''{A record scratch and the music stops.}'' We have a fish sandwich? Has anybody ever ordered that thing?
'''PEACEY P:''' That's right, y'all Blubb-O heads. The Thick 'n Naaaaaaasty. ''{grunts}''
==Fun Facts==
===Explanations===
*The name "Isosceles fish Sandwich" is a play on an [[Wikipedia:Triangle#Types of triangles|isosceles triangle]], a triangle with two of its three sides identical in length.
*"HMS" is a British Naval designation used on ships, standing for [[Wikipedia:Her Majesty's Ship|Her Majesty's Ship]] or [[Wikipedia:His Majesty's Ship|His Majesty's Ship]] depending on the gender of the monarch.
*Drive-Thru Whale's line "register does not contain more than fifty doctors," is a corruption of "register does not contain more than fifty dollars", a notice similar to one that businesses or restaurants might display to deter robbery.

===Trivia===
*The Blubb-O's menu behind Homestar reads:
{| class="wikitable"
|-
|BLUBBO CLASSIC || 1.99 || NUDULES || 5.99
|-
|THE ORIGINAL || 2.99 || KETCHUP PACKET || 6.99
|-
|THE REGULAR || 3.99 || COFFEE STIRRER || 7.99
|-
|THE NEW ORIGINAL || 4.99 || GRAIN OF SALT || 8.99
|}
*Originally, each vegetable was cut as soon as it went through the waterfall, but this was changed soon after the toon was uploaded, so that they all get washed and then chopped separately.

===Remarks===
*According to [[road trip]], Bubs should not have been able to open the Gremlin's windows from the inside, and none of the car's external features suggest they could be opened from outside the vehicle.
*The announcer says "Blubb-O's Classic", but the menu omits the possessive.

===Goofs===
*When The Cheat turns around to talk to Strong Bad in the HMS Locash, his lower back (or leg) pokes outside the box.

===Inside References===
*"Would you like to try a combo meal...?" was the Drive-Thru Whale's first line in [[Drive-Thru]].
*Strong Mad was shown holding a Blubb-O's bag in [[nightlife]].
*"I'll chop off your legs!" is a variation of "Sever your leg please, sir", and the background music is a variation of the Whale's music from [[Drive-Thru]].
*The term "meltshake" was first used in [[road trip]].
*Strong Bad is wearing his [[Archibald]] costume from [[A Decemberween Pageant]] when attempting to harpoon Strong Sad. <!-- this is strong sad, strong bad says that he didn't even see coach z there, that's the joke. -->
*Bubs saying he wants "a dang hambroiger" is an instance of [["Er" pronounced as "Oi"]].
*"Nudules" were last mentioned in [[from work]]. There they were also associated with whales.
*Strong Bad [[Strong Bad Smiling|smiles]], and so does [[Strong Mad Smiling|Strong Mad]].
===Real-World References===
*Sandwiches named "The Original", "The Regular" and "The New Original" are a reference to the pseudo-band [[Spinal Tap]]. Early in their history they changed their name to The New Originals when they discovered that The Originals was already in use. According to the band, The Originals later changed their name to The Regulars.
*The Attempt-At-Competing-With-National-Coffee-Chains Premium Mocha-Chip Meltshake is a reference to how many fast food outlets, like [[Wikipedia:McDonald's|McDonald's]], are touting their new "high-quality" coffee drinks as a way of competing with [[Wikipedia:Starbucks|Starbucks]].
*The sign on Strong Bad's cardboard box boat reads "HMS Locash", a reference to the movie [[Wikipedia:CB4|CB4]], a mockumentary about a fictional rap group that became famous for the song "Straight Outta Locash". Locash is also the name of the town the band started from, itself a reference to the real rap group N.W.A. and their hit album [[Wikipedia:Straight Outta Compton|"Straight Outta Compton"]].
*The phrase "Save the Blubb-O Whale", which appears on Marzipan's protest signs, is derived from the name of [http://www.savethewhales.org/ Save the Whales], a non-profit organization founded in 1977 which focuses on marine mammal welfare.

== Fun Facts ==

===Explanations===
*The sender is from Van Alstyne, a small town north of Dallas, Texas. The inhabitants there commonly abbreviate their town's name to "VA."

===Trivia===
*Even if you were to eat 100 [[Fluffy Puff Marshmallows]] every day, it would still take you more than 27 years to "win."
**If you eat like Homestar Runner, at least [[Fluffy Puff Commercial|147]] every day, it would "only" take a bit more than 18 years.

===Remarks===
*The table has been either replaced or expertly repaired (no cracks or seams are evident, even though it was broken in half in the [[unused emails|previous email]]).
*After the cards come up, you can still click on the cards Homestar is holding. However, nothing happens.
*Homestar manages to hold a microphone and flip through a set of cards simultaneously.
*The Tim Duncan reference may have been made due to the email writer being from Texas.
*Strong Bad calls [[Marshie]] a "flying mushroom", adding this to the list of items Marshie is often confused with (including a "flying cottonball" by [[Gunhaver]] in [[Cheat Commandos...O's]]).
*Strong Bad actually makes four grammar and/or punctuation errors in his email:
**He doesn't put a comma in "Anymore Tori?"
**He puts an unnecessary space after "Problematic" before the period.
**He doesn't put a question mark after "What's with that flying mushroom he's always advertising for." He also fails to capitalize The Cheat's name in his reply.
**He also doesn't put a space before beginning his last sentence.
***The first and third errors may be making fun of Tori for making similar mistakes in her initial email.

===Goofs===
[[Image:weirdpoopsmithblink.png|thumb|100px|The Poopsmith's odd eyes.]]
*In the Easter egg, Strong Sad's chicken pox move a little bit slower than his head as he raises it. For example, there is a red dot right above his left eye. When he raises his head, the chicken pox move slower and the one that was near his eye is a little more far away from it than before.
*The Poopsmith's eyes point in different directions when he blinks. They also switch sides when he turns around.

===Inside References===
*This email contains yet another reference to "[[witch's brew]]".
*Marshie pronouncing "guys" as "juys" may be a reference to [[A Decemberween Pageant]], in which [[Bubs]] pronounces "gold" as "jold" and [[Homsar Main Page]], in which [[Homsar]] pronounces "games" as "james."
*Marshie's voice echoes over the alps from [[Main Page 2]].
*This is another reference to [[Kicking The Cheat]].
=== Commentary Transcript ===
('''Commentary by:''' [[Mike Chapman]], [[Homestar Runner]])

'''MIKE:''' Here's the commentary for "the show" email.

'''HOMESTAR:''' That's right, Mike!

'''MIKE:''' I'm joined by none other than Homestar himself, the host of The Show.

'''HOMESTAR:''' Call me Greg this time.

'''MIKE:''' Greg, uh, so tell us a little bit about yourself, Greg.

'''HOMESTAR:''' Well, I'm, uh, uh, a vitamin, I lose weight, and I'm on the plank!

'''MIKE:''' Homestar here making a little less sense than usual.

'''HOMESTAR:''' I know. It's all for the DVD.

'''MIKE:''' DVD.

'''HOMESTAR:''' DVDs. Yeah. DVDs.

'''MIKE:''' Uh, here comes your big scene.

'''HOMESTAR:''' Yeah, why are you so, where did this show come from?

'''MIKE:''' Uh, why don't you tell us?

'''HOMESTAR:''' I don't... Honestly, the first time I saw this, I was flabbergasted.

'''MIKE:''' You don't, you don't remember taking part in anything like this?

'''HOMESTAR:''' I mean, I kinda do... But like, so do I have a show? In the '70s?

'''MIKE:''' Well, I don't know if it was in the '70s.

'''HOMESTAR:''' Is it a chat show, or game show?

'''MIKE:''' It looks like it's kinda maybe a little of both, but a little of neither?

'''HOMESTAR:''' Yeah! That's the way my best shows are...right?

'''MIKE:''' Yeah.

'''HOMESTAR:''' So why wouldn't it be that? A little bit of a chat show, maybe with a Charles Nelson Reilly...

'''MIKE:''' Yeah.

'''HOMESTAR:''' I love my microphone. If a microphone's not tall and skinny, it's not a microphone.

'''MIKE:''' I agree.

'''HOMESTAR:''' Look! Who's that guy with the arms? ''{referring to the character on the "We'll Be Right Back" card}''

'''MIKE:''' He has arms.'''

''{MARSHIE appears on the screen to begin the Fluffy Puff commercial.}''

'''HOMESTAR:''' Oh no!

'''MIKE:''' It's okay.

'''HOMESTAR:''' I love this one!

'''MIKE:''' Oh, I thought you might be scared.

'''HOMESTAR:''' Look out! Look out, stuffed in each—Oh no! He got it, Mike! ''{pause}'' Marshie's on point on this one. He's at the top of his game.

'''MIKE:''' Marshie's...never at the top of his game.

'''HOMESTAR:''' No, he's clearly here. Listen, listen, listen!

''{MARSHIE's commercial finishes, and he winks producing a unique sound effect.}''

'''HOMESTAR:''' How does he do that?

'''MIKE:''' He winked.

'''HOMESTAR:''' I know! If I could make my eye make that sound when I wink, I'd be like, winking all the time! They'd call me Wink Martindale.

''{Slight pause. SBEMAIL HOMESTAR reads the "Olympic race" card.}''

'''HOMESTAR:''' Speaking of Olympic race... ''{Pause}'' This is my favorite part.

'''MIKE:''' What is this list of?

'''HOMESTAR:''' Oh, Mike.

'''MIKE:''' Is there a common thread—

'''HOMESTAR:''' It's, like, the Rosetta Stone. If you can figure out this list then you've got the secret to Homestar Runner.

''{Pause. The Strong Bad Email cuts back to STRONG BAD at the Compy.}''

'''HOMESTAR:''' Homester.

'''MIKE:''' Okay. How much longer do we have on this commentary, Homestar?

'''HOMESTAR:''' You don't think this is very funny, Mike?

'''MIKE:''' Uhh, maybe.

'''HOMESTAR:''' Do you think we should start over?

'''MIKE:''' No, we can leave it, but...I just hope it's over soon.

'''HOMESTAR:''' I think it sounds like Strong Bad's winding down.

'''MIKE:''' All right.

'''HOMESTAR:''' See, he's mumbling.

'''MIKE:''' Bye, Homestar.

'''HOMESTAR:''' That's the end. You know it's the end.

''{The Paper comes down.}''

'''MIKE:''' Bye, Homestar.

'''HOMESTAR:''' Geez!

{{Main Page Talk}}

== RC problems, sort of... ==

I would post this on the Recent Changes talk page, but that's nonexistent, so anyways, I run Firefox 2.0.0.5 and if I load the main page and click on Recent Changes, a window pops up saying "You have chosen to open 'Recent Changes'...which is an 'application/octet-stream' What do you want to do with this file?" And I get two options, "Save to Disc" or "Open with..." (which to that I click "Cancel ;). It's really annoying, but is this actually a fixable problem or am I just going to have to deal with it? --{{User:Super Martyo Brother/sig}} 19:49, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
:Oh, I forgot to mention, for people who use Firefox, it's a basic download screen. --{{User:Super Martyo Brother/sig}} 19:52, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
:It sounds like for some reason Firefox thinks that the PHP used with MediaWiki is a program (that's what it means when it says application/octet-stream). My first suggestion would be clear your cache (Preferences -> Advanced -> Network). If that doesn't solve the problem, you might want to see if the file association is messed up. Go to the Content tab in Preferences and click on the Manage button under File Types. If PHP is listed there, delete it. Last resort would be to locate the cache or preferences and delete them manually; the file might be corrupt and that's why it is giving you the strange result. {{User:Wbwolf/sig}} 00:38, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
== Protection? ==
::Protecting those pages would be possible, but it wouldn't solve anything. There are several rare but legitimate reasons for a non-sysop to edit someone else's user page, and there's no reason to remove that functionality just because some people can't play nice. Besides, just about all vandalism is detected and removed quickly. If we protected the entire user namespace, then there would just be more vandalism in the other namespaces. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 19:58, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
== New Namespace Idea ==

How about we have a name space for Featured Articls, like FeatArt? It could be locked so only sysops can edit it, new FeatArts could go into it, and it would just help with organization. Howz about it? {{User:Techgeekmbg/sig}} 20:24, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

:Interesting idea. I don't immediately see what the advantages are, though. I guess it would allow searching by namespace, although all the featured articles are listed at [[HRWiki:Featured articles]] and the articles that have been featured can be found at [[HRWiki:Featured article nominations]]. What other benefits were you thinking of?

:Also, I don't think we'd want to protect everything in the namespace &mdash; if we did, only sysops could write the summaries, which would be a big disadvantage. {{User:Trey56/sig}} 20:52, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

::I have this same thing on my wiki, and it works very well. It clears up a lot of clutter on the Main Page code, having <nowiki>{{FeatArt}} instead of {{#ifexist: FeatArt:{{#time: WY}}|FeatArt:{{#time:WY}}|blash blah blah}}</nowiki>. That would go into one article in the NS, and the rest would be a numerical code for that week. {{User:Techgeekmbg/sig}} 00:57, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

:::On the contrary. The ParserFunctions make it that much cleaner by updating automatically. == Chapman article overhaul ==
I think that we need an urgent overhaul of the Brothers Chaps subpages, the writing isn't up to scratch, and we could really use some nice info boxes, also, those lists need to be intergrated into the main article, in short, they have to be biographies of everything we know and that is notable about TBC.--{{User:Slipstream/sig}} 13:19, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
:I don't think lists should be integrated just for the sake of integrating them. If something is easier to read in list form than prose form, then it should remain a list.
''{cut to a mountain range, above which Marshie is seen in the sky}''

'''MARSHIE:''' This is gettin' great!

''{The word "great" echoes. Another, larger Marshie comes across horizontally from the left, leaving a trail of pink behind him. This forms the original pink background}''

'''MARSHIE:''' Fluffy Puff Marshmallows!

''{Marshie appears in the middle of the screen and the words "THE FIRST ONE TO EAT A MILLION, WINS." appear on the bottom}''

'''MARSHIE:''' "The first one to eat a million, wins."

''{Marshie winks and it makes a weird squishy noise. Cut back to The Show.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' All right. Welcome back to the show. ''{he pronounces it "shaow"}'' And now, I choose to recite a list. ''{pulls out some cue cards}'' Ahem. ''{words appear on screen as Homestar reads them}'' "tetherball." "Olympic race." "sparkling." "Tim Duncan." "Wisconsin." "a book of matches." "next week." "a lot of money." "witch's brew"—

''{static cuts back to Strong Bad at his computer}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Oh. ''{typing}'' Problematic. You know it's been awhile since I've kicked the Cheat, but I guarantee it'd be comedic gold compared to that mish-mash. And what's with that flying mushroom he's always advertising for. I can't understand a word that guy says. ''{stops typing}'' Anyways, Tori, lemme know how the volleyball tounament turns out. Touns out. Er, learn to spell.

''{[[The Paper]] comes down.}''

== Easter Eggs==
*At the beginning of the show, you can click on the cards Homestar is carrying to read one.
<blockquote>pom-pom = round yellow one<br>
poopsmith = smelly one<br>
homestar = you</blockquote>
*At the end, click on "kicked the Cheat" to see what The Cheat and Strong Sad are doing.
:''{Cut to Strong Sad's room. Strong Sad is lying in bed with the chicken pox. The Cheat is in front of him.}''
:'''THE CHEAT:''' ''{looks around and then makes questioning The Cheat noises}''
:'''STRONG SAD:''' I don't know where he is. I figured it was a sure thing, too.

== Fun Facts ==

===Explanations===
*The sender is from Van Alstyne, a small town north of Dallas, Texas. The inhabitants there commonly abbreviate their town's name to "VA."

===Trivia===

===Remarks===
[[Image:weirdpoopsmithblink.png|thumb|100px|The Poopsmith's odd eyes.]]
*Strong Bad actually makes four grammatical errors in his email:
**He doesn't put a comma in "Anymore Tori?"
**He puts an unnecessary space after "Problematic" before the period.
**He doesn't put a question mark after "What's with that flying mushroom he's always advertising for." He also fails to capitalize The Cheat's name in his reply.
**He also doesn't put a space before beginning his last sentence.
***The first and third errors may be making fun of Tori for making similar mistakes in her initial email.

===Goofs===
*In the Easter egg, Strong Sad's chicken pox move a little bit slower than his head as he raises it. For example, there is a red dot right above his left eye. When he raises his head, the chicken pox move slower and the one that was near his eye is a little more far away from it then before.
*The Poopsmith's eyes point in different directions when he blinks. They also switch sides when he turns around.

===Inside References===

===Real-World References===
*Homestar's line "Pom Pom, for the block. Do you agree?" is a reference to the game show ''[[Wikipedia:Hollywood Squares|Hollywood Squares]]'', where contestants decide whether they agree with a celebrity's answer in order to get their symbol on a tic-tac-toe board.
*Homestar's microphone looks just like [[Wikipedia:Bob Barker|Bob Barker]]'s microphone from ''[[Wikipedia:The Price is Right|The Price is Right]]''.
*[[Wikipedia:Tim Duncan|Tim Duncan]] is an [[Wikipedia:National Basketball Association|NBA]] basketball player with the San Antonio Spurs.
*The Poopsmith's sign is a nod to [[Wikipedia:Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner|Wile E. Coyote]], who often used a variety of small signs to indicate what he was thinking or feeling.
*The little jingle played before the commercial break is part of the theme song of the game show ''[[Wikipedia:Match Game|Match Game]]''.
*The "We'll be right back" image is similar to the one used by the television show, [[Wikipedia:The Galloping Gourmet|The Galloping Gourmet]].
*Homestar giving the contestants random points is a reference to [[Wikipedia:Whose Line is it Anyway|Whose Line is it Anyway]], in which Drew Carey would give the contestants a random amount of points at the end of each game for no visible relevance.

=== Commentary Transcript ===
