So I tried to make this edit myself, but it was reverted pretty quickly. I feel like it would be more appropriate if this redirected to Instruments#Old Timey since it's actually about an appearance of a banjo. The Dancin' Bubs redirect on the other hand seems pretty flimsy, since there's neither an appearance nor sound of a banjo in Dancin' Bubs, just a leftover filename from before the music was changed. --[[User:Plastiware|Plastiware]] 20:56, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

According to the instruction screen, the King of Town has gone crazy and is firing cannon shots at Strong Bad's castle. Strong Bad's only method of defense is catapults loaded with food. The King of Town has four cannons to shoot, while Strong Bad is given five catapults to launch food with.

The object of the game is to achieve the highest score before time runs out. The King of Town scores 25 points for each cannon shot that hits Strong Bad's side. Strong Bad must make the King of Town eat the food on his catapults, and every time he does so successfully he scores 10 points and the King is momentarily distracted while he finishes eating.

The winner is rewarded with cupcakes, while the loser is punished by being lowered into either a cauldron full of hot melted butter (King) or {{Film|The Poopsmith}}'s pile of [[whatsit]] (Strong Bad).

I think I've developed a good system for categorizing the songs.

1 Songs by The Brothers Chaps (and/or Missy Palmer) - these are completely original, and should be listed here and in the alphabetical section at the bottom.

1.1 from Toons - any short, feature, or other toon except sbemail.

1.2 from Strong Bad Emails - Strong Bad Emails only

1.3 from Games - Games Only

1.4 from "Strong Bad Sings and Other Type Hits" - obvious

1.5 Songs from the DVD - again, obvious, though music from emails probably ought to be listed above

2 Songs partly by The Brothers Chaps - this includes parody lyrics to existing tunes, collaborations, etc.

3 Songs not by The Brothers Chaps - use this when the song is used as recorded previously by someone else, or when a character sings the exact words someone else wrote.

In 2 and 3, we should try to find attributions for the parts that are not by TBC. That means the writer(s) when they cover the song. If they use an actual cut, credit the performer too.

:Sure. The page is in three sections. First, completely original songs, and that's subdivided into Toons, Sbemails, etc. Most stuff will go there. These are also (generally) the songs that end up in the Songs By Title and By Character pages (though I don't think that's a hard and fast rule). The second section is for songs which are not entirely TBC original, be they parodies, collaborations, or the like. The third section is for songs which are not at all written by TBC, though they might be sung by a character. Does that make more sense? {{User:Qermaq/sig}} 19:04, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

:No, you can't upload music from Homestar Runner on the wiki... it's a violation of copyright (as has been [[#Adding Files?|mentioned above]]). This goes even more so for songs from the CDs and SBCG4AP, which you have to pay money to get access to. As for fan-created songs, they don't really belong here anyway. ::To back Phlip up, as a music professional, yes, copyright law is extremely strict in this vein. Unless we have license to the audio in question (which we could acquire if the need existed), we in no way have any right to host it or even link to it. I'd argue that even mirrors are arguably against the letter of the law - though TBC would need to find it worth their while to raise a lawsuit, and I hope the happy cooperation we share dispels any motivation for them to go that route, so we better not push it, like at all - but putting any of their content which you can get from them in some way upon our server for unaccounted download is absolutely not acceptable. They are legally in control of their own intellectual material, they get first rights as how users can access their stuff, and that is one of the basic tenets of this wiki, as it happens.

"Music" redirects here, which I think is really unfortunate. There's a wealth of original background music in the Homestar Runner body of work that really ought to be cataloged somewhere. I propose we create a "Background Music" page, listing pieces of background music and which toons they appear in; and have "Music" be a disambiguation page between "Background Music" and "Songs".
