:I think you should change it back, especially since you find out how Level 3's going to end before the guide on how to beat 3.3.

== Pictures ==

I'm adding thumbnails of some of the levels to break up the space, so it doesn't look so massive. If anyone has pics from 2.2 on up, please add them.

-I personally believe that more pictures should be added to each walkthrough. Text alone can be confusing.

==Level 4?==
Is anyone going to write the Level 4 walkthrough? I would...but I'M TOO FRUSTRATED WITH THAT FREAKIN' 1-UP MOVIN' TOO FAST/SLOW! --[[User:Color Printer|Color Printer]] 01:03, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)

== Planet K everyday life? ==

It's weird how this might be the way that Stinkoman lives. Why are there evil harmful robots everywhere? Why does Stinkoman have so many chickens living in his gargatuan kitchen? (What did it cost in real estate?) Why is bread falling? Did a refugee ship explode? What's with the volcano being so near? How did 1-up get on the moon? Why does Stinkoman take vacations on condesated water? Why are there blades and saws in them? I definetly don't want to live here! ====More Levels====
When you beat the game it will say "MORE LEVELS TO COME!".

'''CLOSED.''' This discussion is obsolete, as more levels have been released. As of this writing "MORE LEVELS TO COME" appears in the transcript of level 6.

*Far too obvious; anyone who beats the game can see that. Sure, it might be useful to anyone who can't beat the game, but it's hardly worth being listed as a "fun fact". --[[User:Ogog|Ogog]]
*'''Accept''' Since the game doesn't have a Transcript, this is useful information for the game's page. --[[User:TheEggman|TheEggman]] 15:38, 26 Mar 2005 (MST)
I was wondering if there could be a template for the walkthroughs. Maybe going (play game-previous level walkthrough-next level walkthrough). If someone else thinks this is good, could they make it? I don't know how. {{User:LePorello/sig}} 12:49, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
HRWiki:Welcoming committee

Riley: adding my name and shortening the code.

Welcome to the Welcoming Committee of the [[Main Page|Homestar Runner Wiki]].

== Who We Are ==
The welcoming committee is a group of people who kindly greet new users and help them get started (if needed). If you want to help out, the most obvious thing you can do is post welcome messages and be friendly and helpful with new users you meet. The easiest way to identify new users is from the [[Special:Recentchanges|recent changes]] list. The new user's username or talk page will be red because they haven't been created, yet. Once you're on the user page, you can click "User contributions" on the sidebar to see how many edits they've done. Also be sure to check the history of the talk page to verify that no one has already welcomed them (they may have deleted the first welcome message).

Note that joining the committee confers neither responsibilities nor privileges, but members are expected to do some welcoming &mdash; we don't want to simply clutter up this page with member names.

You should also have a basic technical understanding of the wiki so that you can answer any questions an inexperienced user might have.

== Don't Bite ==
''"Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity."'' -[[Wikipedia:Hanlon's Razor|Hanlon's Razor]]

The [[Wikipedia:Wikipedia:Welcoming Committee|Wikipedia Welcoming Committee]], in their "[[Wikipedia:Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers|Please do not bite the newcomers]]" page, wrote:
<blockquote>...Behavior that may appear malicious to experienced Wikipedians is more likely due to ignorance of our expectations and rules. Even if you're '''100% sure''' that someone is a ''worthless, no-good, low-down scum-sucking Internet troll,'' vandal, or worse; ''comport yourself as if they're not.'' By being forgiving, instructive, and respectful, you come away with much more dignity, and you reflect well on our project.</blockquote>

Basically, just don't get frustrated if a newcomer or some IP makes a mistake- let it slide and give him a friendly note telling them what they did.

== Standards for Welcoming ==

A good welcome message should be around the lines of this [[Template:welcome|template]]:

{{welcome|(your signature)|(timestamp)}}

----

To use the template, type "<code><nowiki>{{subst:welcome|~~~|~~~~~}}</nowiki></code>", which will automatically include your signature and a timestamp. (Typing <tt>subst</tt> before the name of the template tells the system to copy a static version of the template to the page.)

----

Be as kind and welcoming as possible and answer any questions they might have.

When creating your own personal template, you don't have to follow the original layout exactly. You can rearrange it and reword it, but please include the [http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Index MediaWiki User's Guide], [[HRWiki:Standards]], [[HRWiki:FAQ]] and [[Help:Editing]] pages within the text. Like the general welcome template, be sure to use the <code>subst:</code> command to substitute, rather than link, your template on a user's talk page.

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{singing}'' I met this email on a north-bound train. We had some dinner, then we danced in the rain.
<blockquote class="lappy email">
<div>subject: narration</div>
Have you ever been the narrator for a movie?<br/>
<br/>
Grant Gossman from Minnesota.<br/>
</blockquote>

''{Strong Bad says "Minnesota" slightly slower than the rest.}''

'''Strong Bad:''' No Grossman, I have not. But you know what's way better than narrating movies? Narrating peoples pathetic everyday lives like their movie trailers. Ready? Lets try it!
==Easter Eggs==
*Click on "critics" at the end of the email to see a scene with the two youngest of the Brothers Strong.
:'''STRONG SAD:''' Look, all I'm saying is it felt more like a change-up than a curveball.
:'''STRONG BAD:''' What are you, the sbemail police now? This is like three weeks in a row!
*Also click on "rated P" at the end to see a scene with a [[Powered by the Cheat]]-style Marzipan Alien and Nebulon.
:'''MARZIPAN ALIEN:''' ''(in a [[Powered by the Cheat]]-style voice)'' You know, Nebulon, I've always admired your styles.<br>
:''{Nebulon makes a sad face and slides away.}''

==Fun Facts==

=== Goofs ===
*Strong bad talks fast in the end, but they didn't speed his voice up. That would make it high pitched, like in the email [[helium]].

===Inside References===
*When Strong Bad says "three weeks in a row", he is referring to the previous 2 emails [[technology]], in which Strong Sad correcting Strong Bad calling a floppy disk a "hard disk", and [[secret identity]], when [[Hyperactive Strong Sad]] correcting Homestar's mispronounciation of "pseudonym".
*This is the second time Bubs has been seen closing his Concession Stand, the first time being in [[lackey]].
* Unlike Strong Bad ([[New Boots]]) and [[1-Up]] ([[Stinkoman 20X6]]), Marzipan Alien likes Nebulon's style.

===Real-World References===
* The Entire Email is a spoof of various Stereotype Movie Trailers.
* The Game [[Strong Mad]] and [[The Cheat]] are playing is [[Wikipedia:Battleship (game)|Battleship]].
* The title "Things that go Dump in the Night" is a reference to the more known " Things that go '''Bump''' in the Night."
== Mean to young people? ==

You're my least favorite admin ever.
:Well, <s>''Bubsty''</s> <small>(I was close. See below)</small>, one of the things you learn as an admin is that you can't please everybody all the time. I am, however, open to constructive criticism, so I'm a little disappointed that you didn't give me any more to go on than that one line. Or that you didn't at least sign your name. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 20:23, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
::What? Did Bubsty write that? {{User:Has Matt?/sig}} 20:37, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
:::Indeed. ''EDIT: Actually, his sister said that it was she who wrote the comment.'' &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]]
::::Or perhaps somebody from his computer or something. He did [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=HRWiki:Da_Basement&diff=prev&oldid=241561 refer to Bubsty in the third person]... {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}} 00:33, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
:::::How did this person edit da Basement? Didn't you block him for 3 days, TBird? {{User:Heimstern Läufer/sig}} 00:35, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
::::::Yes, he did, but I unblocked the IP, since the edit wasn't trolling or vandalism. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 00:38, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
:::::::I see. And in response to Thunderbird's comment: I don't know that third person is really evidence it wasn't he; he could have been covering his tracks. What ''does'' baffle me, however, is that that IP wrote false information about Bubsty's guestbook being gone, when in fact Bubsty himself removed the deletion tag from his guestbook, something one would think Bubsty would know. {{User:Heimstern Läufer/sig}} 01:14, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
::::::::Haha, I just mentioned that point a minute ago. But on IRC- I didn't bother updating my theory here. Thanks for pointing that out. {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}} 01:18, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
:::::::::That was me! Not Erik! And he told me he left the wiki, so I thought he had deleted his guestbook too. [[User:Thekillerdynamo|Thekillerdynamo]] 04:03, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
::::::::::<nowiki>*</nowiki>Sigh*. So much for me leaving. Seems I have some explaining to do. Some things to clear this whole thing up:
::::::::::First off, I '''''DID NOT''''' write that comment above. I recently showed Sarah the comment you left on my user talk page a while ago telling me to stop using the list of users list to welcome people. Although I really didn't care that much about what you had written, she seemed to think of it as rude and insulting. I assume that comment was her "blowing off steam".
::::::::::It seems Dot Com thinks Thekillerdynamo is me. If you still have any questions about this whole thing, ''please'' tell me. I'll try to explain it.
::::::::::Finally, I'm really sorry (not to mentioned embarrased), that this whole thing happened. I'll '''try''' to have something like this ''never'' happen again. (Depends if a certain family member agrees).
::::::::::Sincerely,
::::::::::{{User:Bubsty/sig}} 04:22, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
:::::::::::Well, as you can see below, all I knew for sure was that the edits were coming from your house. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 05:21, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
You do a lot on this wiki, but you're mean to the young people here. 10, 11, 12, and 13 year olds shouldn't have to act like a 28-year-old!
Can't you just be a ''bit'' nicer? I think more people would like you then.
Please; I'm not trolling - although I did blank your talk page. But that was so you would see this easier.
If you revert it (which I'm sure you will) can you at least think about being ''nicer''?
Once again, sorry for messing up your talk page. Just please read. Thanks! [[User:24.18.208.18|24.18.208.18]] 04:58, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
:PS: I think you're still a good admin. Just show some commen sense. (Of course, I should talk; Look who's about to get themselves blocked!)
:PPS: Oh, and about my first edit on this page; I admit that was me. But that was back when I didn't know what a wiki was and didn't know who you were. You ''aren't'' my least favorite admin ever. In fact, you're one of my favs! If you want to block me for that, go ahead; I deserve it.
::Why don't you log in so we can discuss this. Talking through an IP address isn't the kind of conversation we should be having. I'm not going to block you. If I wanted to block you, I would have blocked your IP a long time ago. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 05:18, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
:::Ok, I made a user. [[User:That One User|That One User]] 06:29, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
::::I don't mean make a sockpuppet, I mean log in as yourself. You have obviously been around for a bit for you to hold the opinion you do, and, looking closely, you are either Bubsty or, at the very least, someone inside his house. So, c'mon now, Erik, Sarah, whoever... log in for real if you actually want to talk. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 14:05, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
:::::How did you know? [[User:Thekillerdynamo|Thekillerdynamo]] 00:49, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
::::::Hang on now, let me make sure I have this right... You're telling me that someone who has [[Special:Contributions/Thekillerdynamo|18 total contributions]] (as of this writing, none of which are in the article namespace) and to whom the only thing [[User talk:It's dot com/These Peoples Try to Fade Me#Hi_from_Thekillerdynamo|I've ever said]] is "Welcome to the wiki, Sarah! Ask your brother to show you how to sign your name," would suddenly and for no apparent reason get so annoyed with me as to <span class="plainlinks">[http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=User_talk:It%27s_dot_com&diff=240812&oldid=240757 put this]</span> on my page? I'm sorry, but that just doesn't add up. Perhaps you could explain yourself a little... or come clean. ;) &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 03:37, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
:::::::Seems odd right? Actully, I've just seen what you've said to other people (like the thing) and what you said to Bubsty that one time. That was why I said "you're my least favorite admin ever". When you said that thing about user welcoming... something like that. But I'm not mad anymore. [[User:Thekillerdynamo|Thekillerdynamo]] 04:01, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
:::::::: Oh, okay then. Please allow me to speak to your points: Occasionally messages must be posted that are stern because it's urgent that the message be understood. (In the case of the message I sent your brother, it was because of the fact that edit summaries can't be changed, and so we have to be careful what we put in them.) I do try, however, never to be insulting, and as I said way back when, I do apologize if he took it that way. Also, I have nothing against young users, and I will happily give assistance to anyone who needs it (just have a look around this talk page). It should be noted that several of our exceptional users, including a sysop, are quite young, relatively speaking. Even though actual age doesn't matter, I don't see anything wrong with expecting a certain level of maturity from our users, once they've had a chance to get the hang of things. The wiki, after all, is not a toy. I think BazookaJoe put it quite well in his message to The thing when he talked about what <span class="plainlinks">[http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=User_talk:The_thing&oldid=242251 the purpose]</span> of this wiki is. :Yeah, I noticed that. I don't know what that guy's deal is. He is addressing Coder, so I'd prefer she be the one to respond to him. That edit could be called trolling (in the true sense of the word), but it's not vandalism. Until and unless he causes more, bigger trouble, I'ma stay out of it. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 04:12, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
::::::This guy has some kind of anger management problem, and I think not responding to him is the best course of action. I don't even know where he gets this stuff; I've never blocked him (although I did warn him that he might be blocked for mucking up the Sandbox), called him any names (especially not "incredibly gay" - all the people I've known who are actually incredibly gay are far more mature than that guy ;) ), or confused him with Willy on Wheels. If he wants to periodically upchuck on my talk page, whatever. {{User:Homestar Coder/sig}} 20:14, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
Apparantly this is all because of [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=Character_Evolution&diff=next&oldid=175719 this revert]. I'm really confused as to how posting a few images constitutes two to three hours work as well as hating Homestar Coder for reverting it. Additionally, it didn't really fit; those images were all over the place. &mdash; {{User:Lapper/sig}} 01:34, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
::::::::::::::::It's admirable to want to help the wiki. We need as many people&mdash;sysops and users alike&mdash;who will do that.<br/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Around here, we consider several factors when choosing whom to make sysops, and the most important consideration is trustworthiness. A close second is participation in the project. Rounding out the top six are the ability to deal with other users (especially in mediating disputes or deciding when to step in), technical know-how, the necessity for another position (that is, whether or not the wiki needs more sysops at any given time), and finally seniority. ([[bottom 10|Number seven]] on the top-six list is [[Senor Cardgage|senority]], which is the ability to make bad H*R-related jokes.)<br/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;With those things in mind, at this time I would not be comfortable with making you a sysop. Not long ago, you vandalized this wiki and less than a day ago you were blocked from the fanstuff wiki for persistent trolling. I think it will take a while for people to trust you again after that. Additionally, you currently don't meet the [[User_talk:It%27s_dot_com/Let%27s_Get_Started_on_Doing_All_Those_Awesome_Things_I_Suggested#How_to_become_a_sysop|participation requirements]]. That is, you really don't have that many edits in the main or talk namespace nor have you done a big project. I haven't seen how you handle stress or abuse from problematic users and I don't know the status of your technical know-how (again, because I don't have a large sample of edits from which to judge). Last (and this one matters the least to me but is nevertheless important) there's the question of seniority: In other words, even if all else were equal, quite a few deserving people have been here a lot longer than you, and would thus be ahead of you in line whenever we promote the next user(s).<br/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Please don't think I'm trying to be overly discouraging, but your persistence in asking has made me want to be as unambiguous as possible. (By the way, asking for a position of power&mdash;no matter where you are (except maybe Wikipedia)&mdash;is a sure way to guarantee that the position will ''not'' be handed to you. Just so you know.) I encourage you to read the link above about the requirements and follow its advice. Over time, perhaps a long time, if you make good contributions and keep your nose clean, then you might be more seriously considered. Until then, keep on tranglin'. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 18:45, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
Just so you know, the reason I restored that image for "[[It's like it was meant to be]]" is just because Homestar Coder and Abdi both expressed their support for it and I felt that the person who removed it was acting rather unilaterally.
== What did you do ==
I would just like to make a counterpoint to hating guestbooks, even though the discussion is over. Have you ever thoguht how much sigs should be deleted? You must have, because if you are going to delete guestbooks like you did, the exact same reasons apply to sigs. People working on their sigs clutters up the recent changes, I know because I do it '''all the time'''. Sigs are not contributing to the wiki, just like you insist guestbooks don't. And finally, They give no proof that someone ever read your userpage, something that by the way is something that people either do or don't but that shouldn't matter to anyone else. I just think that What you and the admins did was entirely opinionated. {{User: Seriously/sig}} 22:45, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
:No proof, eh? Well, I guess that someone could read a user page in a matter of seconds and then promptly sign a guestbook. Not all sigs clog recent changes, just yours. Sigs are a means of identifying a user, and thus serve a purpose. I am not meaning to reply for It's dot com, but I just wanted to say this. {{User:Rogue Leader/sig}} 22:58, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
::Also, I bet a lot of sig flooding could be stopped if people just used "Show Preview". --[[User:DorianGray|DorianGray]]
::: Sigs exist anyway; you edit them in your user preferences (which does not show up on Recentchanges). The custom, however, is to create a User/sig template and use ''that'' as your sig. The User/sig versions are used because:
:::# They're easier to edit.
:::# If you edit one, ''all'' of your signatures change. If you edit the sig in your preferences, only ''future'' signatures change.
::: What's more, custom sigs of any sort allow links to your Talk or Contributions page, and make it easier to tell who's who (if you see a light blue sig with a green "Talk" area, it's probably me. If you see a gold-colored sig with symbols on both sides, it's likely Thunderbird. etc.) I'd take that over not being able to tell if I've previously read a user page. --{{User:Jay/sig}} 23:29, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
:::And, by the way, it was not the admins' decision to remove them; they may have started the voting, but ''everyone with a user name'' could vote. I abstained voting entirely because I don't really care. --{{User:Jay/sig}} 23:32, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
I understand why you think that the [[HRWiki:Babel|Babel]] towers will be better with the source code rather than the templates, but I really think that templates will make it a lot easier to use and more user friendly. I understand that there would be a lot, but noinclude tags could be used to keep track of them. Source code is fine, but do you think that I could at least try with Templates, and if it gets too confusing switch back to source code? -[[User:AtionSong|<font face="BankGothic Md BT">AtionSong</font>]] 00:23, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
:I think we should try with the source code first. It's not too hard to get the hang of. (Besides, it's just copy and paste for most people. ;) ) I don't have a problem with a generic template, but we don't need to create a whole slew of them for a non-mainspace thing such as this.
::::::::::First off, I '''''DID NOT''''' write that comment above. I recently showed Sarah the comment you left on my user talk page a while ago telling me to stop using the list of users list to welcome people.

I don't mind its removal as much if there's actually someone else who agrees about removing it, though. I mean, Ciberdude's got my IM screenname and my email address, and he won't stop from either. I know you can't help me with this, but I think I have to make myself a little more discreet the next time I come on here. That's why I'm taking a break. Just act like I'm gone for good, okay? I'll be back soon, just not for a while. Thanks for all the privelages. {{User:Seriously/sig}} 03:41, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

:::# They're easier to edit.
== Two Questions ==

Hey Dot com, what's up? I have two questions. First, where did you post that discussion where someone was asking how to do links that were not underlined and you tried an example which didn't quite work correctly? (This is indirectly related:) I was wondering if you could take a look at [[User_talk:Invisible_Robot_Fish/Projects|this]] issue. Thanks! --[[User:Stux|Stux]] 21:34, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
:See [[#Super-plain_link]]. Note: old how-to questions from my talk page are filed under ''The System Is Down &rarr; Technical help''. On your second question, I'm not sure what you're asking. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 22:16, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
::For the first question, I looked briefly and couldn't find it (actually i scanned the page twice) but couldn't find it. I was scanning too quickly. As for the second issue, it turns out to be a firefox issue :(. Nerd42's sig goes beyond the table borders for some reason. I looked at the sig code and all the tags were closed off. I hope you have a copy of firefox to look at this cuz i'm not gonna provide a screenshot of it right away! ;) I gotta eat! --[[User:Stux|Stux]] 00:23, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
:::I'd post it in a more central place, like the FAQ talk. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 00:31, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
::::Good idea! Just so you know, I found out another reason why you wouldn't be able to see it: resolution. The problem only happens when you wrap text a certain way. As a result, I have [[User_talk:Invisible_Robot_Fish/Projects#Strange|posted]] an [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=User:Invisible_Robot_Fish/Projects&oldid=255516#Timeline_project update] and a [[:Image:Nerd42sigProblem.png|screenshot]] of the problem, as well as an inquiry in the [[HRWiki_talk:FAQ#Sig_image_bug|FAQ talk page]]. --[[User:Stux|Stux]] 14:45, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
At the near bottom, it says "If you happen to be new, register with the username: 18593095NSMC90531234 - Trust me, it'll be fun." This is the ''exact same username''. It seems to me that this guy just didn't know anything about NSMC or this wiki and got Punk'd. He wasn't doing anything bad (yet), so why block him because of "trolling"?
