after level 27?
The quotes for cut scenes "after level 27" don't look kosher to me. How could he say "Smote that Kerrek" if the arcade game predated the Kerrek Email?<BR>
MetaStar 21:09, 25 Sep 2004 (MST)
:I'm not seeing anything that says the Trogdor game was created before the interview email. Dragon and Interview were only a month apart. Even so, TBC could still have added it in later. "Smote that Kerreck" is plainly there, just fast forward a little. He's also listed in the credits when you beat the game.
The Brothers E
::The arcade game was first seen between SBEmails 66 and 67. Interview was number 62. The game does not precede Kerrek's e-mail. --Upsilon

Wowzers, ok. So, how does one "Fast forward"? is this a right-click-menu flash "forward" command or some other form of strangeness? :) Thanks!<BR>
MetaStar 12:11, 26 Sep 2004 (MST)
Please, anyone know how to fast-foward??? I'm desperate, and everyone's always talking about it. Tell me!!!

Fast-fowarding, *URGENT*
PPLLEEAASSEE!!! Won't somebody tell me how to fast-foward past level 27?!!? The whole game's a joke until you get there; it's IMPOSSIBLE!!! Please, anybody, notice this message board, and tell me how to FF past that one level. Thank you so much...I would be immensely obliged! -Justin Hack 10/09/04

As far as I know, any program that lets you fast forward won't let you actually play the levels. That said, they recently fixed level 27 (around Valentine's Day '05), so it is now beatable.

I've tried to get past level 27 quites a few times and, while I don't know how urgent it is, I'm really trying to figure out to see the rest of the game too. Is there a code of some sort, or how does this "fastforwarding" thing work? -ShadowP13
OLD (original) version of Trogdor - anybody, anybody?
Does anyone have an archived version of the ORIGINAL Trogdor game as it was posted on the website the week the guys were "In Da Basement"? This original version lacked the impossible level 27, but it also lacked all cartoons post-level-20. I'm just curious if a copy's sitting out there somewhere...

[On another note, I'm pretty sure I've visited multiple treasure huts per game, contrary to what I've read on this website.]

:I don't know where you might find the original version, but you might start by looking around some of the various mirror sites (see the Links page). As for the treasure huts, you can visit more than one per game, but only once the levels start to repeat. --68.12.101.60 08:47, 20 Feb 2005 (MST)
From frame 193: <tt>contraArrayKey = newArray (38, 38, 40, 40, 37, 39, 37, 39, 66, 65)</tt>. : But then again: If playing on a PC, the "A" key now functions as the pause button. Since 1 is the Pause button according to the title screen... ah, screw it. I'm too lazy to do it myself, but ought there to be some Explanations for Shoshoni and Coches? A cursory, 5-minute search has failed to give me a good idea of where the latter are; just some ski resort sites in other languages. Anyone else find it weird that for almost 2 months, TBC diddn't do any SBEmails (almost all they do) to do two big toons, two shorts, multiple Lament updates, a new main page, a new navigation feature, and add several new products to the store? A.) Trying to make sure that their site has things other than the SBEmail get updated.
B.)Trying to get enough toons and shorts added so they can release a Toons DVD.

* In the part where Strong Bad immitates the Geddup Noise with the Git Outcha Seat Sound, if you notice, the chair his sitting on only has three legs! (And there's no way the perspective would hide the 4th leg)

* I'm not sure if this counts as a goof: When you click on the notepad easter egg, you can click on the back pages (over where the stool is) and still get the Technochocolate easter egg.

* Finally, I noticed that both of Bubs' eyelids closed when Coach Z was making his first impression of the Geddup Noise. I'm wondering, is this the first time he does that? I don't remember ever seeing him do that before.

People, the entire e-mail is about a personified sound effect. Wouldn't it make comical sense that the KoT's boo in impression is also a personified effect? It's not him on-screen that's saying it either, because his mustash doesn't move, so that invalidates the "Adding SFX" argument.

:Yeah, I'm sure it's a reference to Impression. The general idea would be that the Standing Up Noise is so lame that the King himself booed it...from off screen. Yeah, that would mean there are two KoTs in that scene, but it's supposed to make comical sense, not logical sense.Rocketlex 02:21, 6 Oct 2005 (UTC)

:Ehh... this is getting a little strained. The simple fact is that there are many tiny details in TBC 'toons which can't be completely linked to causes and/or meanings&mdash;and this is one of them. The only objective facts we have to go on are:
*We hear a sound; we all agree that it's the KOT's voice and that it involves the "oo" sound.
*His mustache doesn't move.
Further speculation about who or what makes the sound and what the sound means are <i>just that</i>&mdash;speculation. (Note that his immobile mustache doesn't necessarily mean he's not making it; when someone's mouth is hidden by a mustache, they can make small mouth movements without it moving visibly.) --notstrongorbad 02:29, 6 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Oh my dear god. I hate to break it to you guys, but this is not reality, its a cartoon. In real life, yes people can make small mouth movements with moving visably. In a cartoon, you need moving mouths to indicate speech. The KOT's mustash wasn't moving, e.g. he was NOT MAKING THE SOUND.

This argument can be settled by asking which is more likely: The KOT being booed by himself for such a lame rip-off attempt, in a reference to the off-screen boo in impression or the King saying "Dooo" without his mustache moving and looking off to his right for no reason.

:Or a third option: The KoT is being booed from offstage by someone else who happens to sound like KoT. Matt has said he's bad at making generic character voices, and after making so many characters there's only so many new voices you can make. Having (presumably) just recorded the KoT's line, it makes sense that his generic character sounded like the KoT. Whenever a fun fact comes up elsewhere that says "new character X has a voice similar to old character Y" it's always chalked up to "Matt's running out of different voices". Admittedly few are as close as this one, but I still believe it comes under the same header. Besides, even if it is the KoT booing, there's no reason for it to be a reference to impression... it could just be the same absurdism that gave rise to having two Homestars on screen at once (though people still tried to explain that away with "Main Page 23 is actually Fabrosi, you can't see his moustace because he's facing away from the screen, yada, yada...")... Seriously - random absurdism doesn't have to reference something to be funny. 17:36, 6 Oct 2005 (UTC)

::Now THATS a stretch. Matt is more creative than to incorporate two different voices that sound similar in the same scene. He could have used a canned boo if that were the case (like a livev studio audience). The reason the voice sounds like the KoT's and is saying boo, is because it IS a reference to impression.
:It's likely that it's just another KoT. Bear with me here - think about it. It's not like this isn't the first instance of there being more than one of a certain character, anyway. Remember that mustachioed Homestar? Definitely two Homestars, there. So it's very possible that, somehow, the KoT is booing himself, off-screen.
:Not that it NEEDS all this analysis - it's just a cartoon, after all. -Shadow Hog 15:06, 7 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Rant Re: Reality
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I can foresee difficulties in discussing the events of this email in absolute terms--"Bubs has a basement," "Geddup Noise was succeeded circa #84 by 'get up noise,' who was succeeded by Chairscoot, post-#95"--due to the fact that the entire thing is a huge breakage of the Fourth Wall. Marc's email sets it off right from the start, by referencing a prior 4th-wall-break in email 95. From there we progress to a reality in which not merely an inanimate object but a sound is personified. Of <i>course</i> it's heard when Strong Bad hands it the phone, and is able to manifest itself in radio and game show studios--it's being treated as a person.<br>
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; All of which casts into serious doubt the "reality" of the events depicted. <i>Does</i> Bubs have a basement? More to the point, does "Bubso?" Did the Cheat in actuality create an indietronic remix? Strong Bad simply tells us with a straight face that these things happened, and his word is ultimately the only arbiter of reality within sbemails. I understand the flexibility that's always characterized the "H*R Universe"--but if we accept these events as literal it's a universe in which real estate in prestigious European ski resorts can be purchased--and inhabited--by disembodied <u>sounds</u>.<br>
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; And yes, I'm aware that another email-closing icon, The Paper, has been consistently personified. I guess my uneasiness is simply with the fact that the modus operandi of this whole wiki seems to be to rebuild the Fourth Wall as much as possible--to try to pull the H*R corpus into an ordered unity, to speak of it in declarative sentences as if Strong Bad and Free Country USA were real people and places--an attempt which is hampered by the fact that it is, in fact, a work of creative art in continual production and transformation. To that extent, any argument over putative changes or discrepancies in characters or settings can simply be reduced to: "Today TBC said <i>x</i>. In the past they have said <i>y</i>." We are describing nothing so much as a chronology of artistic statements.<br>
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; This is simply amplified by the H*R Universe's (or TBC's) ambiguity towards the Fourth Wall, throughout. The whole notion of sbemails as an "email show," the new "backstage" main page, and several DVD commentaries where characters speak of their "performances" as though they had memorized, rehearsed, and finally filmed them, makes our perception of H*R reality uncertain. When are they aware of an audience? When are we watching their "actual lives," and when is it some show they've produced? Do <i>they</i> know?<br>
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I don't know why I felt the need for this rant, or why I've gone on so long now. I'm not recommending, by any means, that the wiki be converted to some kind of "book report" mindset; I guess I'm just suggesting that, when we try to make the realities presented in an email like this one agree, we keep reminding ourselves that we're discussing characters who may or may not be presenting a fictitious reality within their own "fictitious reality," all of which is subject to the whims of its human authors. I'm suggesting that we draw a line somewhere, preferably somewhere before discussing how sound effects can have "cousins," or what the names of the sounds in Strong Bad's employment were, and in what order.<br>
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Perhaps Geddup Noise will enter the cast of characters like Senor Cardgage (another 4th-Wall-Break made flesh); it just weirds me out because unlike the Paper he's not merely inanimate, he's <i>immaterial</i>. But hey, so are Homestar's arms. So there.
notstrongorbad 06:42, 27 Sep 2005 (UTC)
:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;First of all, and this is off the subject, but anyone who would write such an eloquent, lengthy, and insightful essay on the nature of the H*R universe is doing us a disservice by not having a user space to speak of. That is to say, you may be neither strong nor bad, notstrongorbad, but I can tell when someone is my kind of person, and you're it. So get on that user page, why don't you. I for one would like to get to know you.
:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Second, I really like the notion that TBC break the fourth wall, but then we just build it back as best we can. That is by far the best explanation of how we here cope with information that doesn't fit our established patterns. I believe this is a very necessary reaction, because we are essentially writing a straight-faced encyclopedia of a fictitious universe, and the only way we can do that is to take the subject matter as seriously as possible (which is of course incredibly ironic). I think (and if I read you correctly, you agree with me) that most people here operate in terms of what the characters themselves would do if they were real, rather than what TBC are having them do. In my own mind I imagine Strong Bad and Homestar as distinct personalities separate from Matt Chapman. This is partially delusional, but at least I'm aware of it. Again, it makes it easier to write this wiki if one approaches it on those terms.
:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Note that we are not even close to the first to do this. The most notable example that comes to mind is the Star Trek universe, whose fans have had to incorporate the whims of hundreds of writers into a cohesive canon. In that regard, we're lucky we only have to deal with a handful of contributors.
:Back to the topic at hand, even though the Paper is personified, it is still an item, not a character, and I don't see the Geddup Noise as a character, either. At least not with more to go on. I agree that we must be able to see a line between the fictitious reality and fictitious realities within it. Unfortunately, it's very late as I type this, and my vision is a little blurry.
:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Wrapping up, I will remark on how I like that certain things can cross the line. Senor Cardgage is the perfect example. He began as the so-called Creppy Comb-over Strong Bad, but as he gained more and more appearances, TBC were forced to admit to themselves that Senor Cardgage had become bona fide separate character, and (to me this is the best part) that status was conferred retroactively all the way back to his first appearance in kind of cool. In other words, TBC didn't know it at the time, but the dumpy character with the beer belly and a comb-over has always been Senor Cardgage.
:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I don't know if anything I've written here constitutes rational thought. Like I said, it's too late for me to even proof-read it closely, so forgive any typographical or logical mistakes. And I meant what I said about your user page. ;) &mdash; It's dot com 07:47, 27 Sep 2005 (UTC)

::Well, notstrongorbad, you're seriously pushing the envelope of talk pagery here. And like dot com said, that's a very good thing. I myself have similar thoughts about the reality/non-reality status of the Universe (H*R and our own), but there's seldom any cause to put them down. Talk pages are such a place for this.

::Sometimes, I'm a fiction writer. When I made the step from short stories to my novel, I was a bit overwhelmed with the amount of characters, idioms, and qualities I was imparting into a true vacuum. From nothing, came something, and before long, that something grew so large certain elements were at odds. Continuity, or lack thereof, became one of my chief editing headaches.

::But my novel was a one-shot affair for the consumer of art - you read it, it's done. You could go back, but it's meant as a cohesive whole (with room for the sequel, of course!), and the reader will either buy into the woven fabric or find fault in it. H*R is a different artistic animal, one that is constantly being added to, constantly being meddled with. This meddling manifests itself in heavy doses of self-referential trickery. It rewards the fan who returns to see what has changed, and challenges that person to make sense of it. And therein lies the greatest joke of all - there really is no sense, or "truth" to be found. In a world of invisible arms, personified noises and disconnected telephones, TBC regularly present an incongrous, even inconsistent, format from which to indulge their comedic leanings.

::But they restrain themselves from complete incongruity, complete inconsistency. There are threads, and there are themes. From these tenuous strings and strands of their imagination, we, the devoted (and quite possibly obsessed) and computer-literate fans of the cartoon try to record it, standardize it, and glorify it. When TBC foist the concept of a personified noise on the viewer, we naively accept it; we want to accept it. As dot com related, thinking of the characters as "real" (and not just the product of Matt doing a funny voice and Mike writing funny dialogue) is simply more satisfying. Thinking too deeply about the underpinnings of these dumb animal characters dilutes the fantasy, and leads to troubling issues such as whether everything we see is the complete fabrication of Strong Bad.

::I close with three words: suspension of disbelief. If anything deserves it, it is H*R, for not only making us laugh but then compelling us to explain it. And please, get a user page and tell us a little about'cha self. &mdash; 11:22, 27 Sep 2005 (UTC)
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I should clarify that I don't feel that my impromptu essay was in <i>any</i> way warranted or even particularly on-topic; it was purely an act of venting. In a fit of wikiness I was up WAY past my appropriate bedtime, which probably had a lot to do with its length! And yes, while I enjoy the grad-school-thesis schtick sometimes, I do also know it can get old. Sometimes the appropriate response is simply "Ha ha! He kicked the Cheat! &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; And please don't misunderstand; I'm not arguing that we <i>shouldn't</i> undertake a systematic, realistic discussion of an unsystematic, non-real world, by any means. I think you're whole agurment is a bit hypocritical when you told us in the "Boo" agurment to, "Note that his immobile mustache doesn't necessarily mean he's not making it; when someone's mouth is hidden by a mustache, they can make small mouth movements without it moving visibly."

:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Yeah, I can see what you mean. But actually the two have something in common. I tend to prefer a kind of "agnostic" philosophy about what the things in the 'toons mean. Some things are obvious, and never engender debate. Others are "mostly obvious," i.e. maybe one or two people interpret them differently, but everyone else is in agreement. And then other things provoke great diversity both in how viewers percieve them (see the gr----est debate above) and in how they create meaning out of those perceptions. The rant immediately above was precipitated because attempts to construe meaning out of the relative chronologies of Chairscoot, Geddy, and or other noises had reached an absurdist moment; I was advocating for sticking more to the obvious and undebated.<br>
:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; My comment in the "Boo"/"Doo" argument that you quoted is similarly motivated--there are certain things that are uncontested (although I was wrong to assume that one of those is the identity of the voice). We all agree that a sound occurred, and we agree roughly as to what it sounds like. The debate arises when we try to derive a meaning from the sound. In this case, given that it's not the most important moment in a shot that is relatively minor within the 'toon, I'd argue for not assigning a meaning at all.<br>
:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The bit about mustaches moving&mdash;which, you're right, is a real-world/'toon comparison that my rant above would seem to contradict&mdash;was another of my agnostic attempts to hedge my bet, to argue both sides. I emphasize "doesn't <i>necessarily</i> mean"; I certainly wasn't saying either that he is or is not creating the sound. And at least in this case, I'm disinclined to say either for sure; it's non-integral enough that I'm comfortable leaving it ambiguous. &mdash; notstrongorbad 23:31, 6 Oct 2005 (UTC)
:: Well, I do agree with you that the fervor over minor aspects of a web cartoon seems frivolous. However, we're all here because we LOVE Homestar, Strong Bad and the rest. The whole focus of this love and the purpose of this site is to create an encyclopedic index of everything noteworthy about the series. It's easy to get into odd arguments about the realism of a cartoon, but it speaks of the passion we all have. I think I would hate my job a lot more if it wasn’t for Strong Bad's emails. So I'm inclined to let my fellow passionate fans debate whatever they like, and chime in when it's worth it.
Sounds and Indietronica
Yesterday, somebody tried to make an Inside Reference saying that the sound that accompanied the "Get Outcha Seat Sound" logo was from Lil' Brudder, and was of course deleted with the explanation that "it's been noted that TBC reuse sounds." Now it's been added to the transcript, first as the "Fluffy Puff Nibblins" sound, and then as the "Homsar walking sound." Mightn't a good approach be to either ignore SFX entirely, except where they pertain to the action of the email (e.g. the Standing Up Noise), or else to give SFX that are repeated often enough their own pages, to systemize what they're called?

Unrelatedly: someone deleted the Real-World Reference to Indietronica entirely. While I don't want it to turn into a long list of bands that fit (?) that category, I think it's a significant enough phenomenon and far enough from assumed mainstream knowledge to be needed. Maybe the best way is simply to link to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indietronic, even though it's a somewhat sloppy stub. I'm not sure about protocol, though; would linking within the transcript or Easter Eggs section be appropriate, or should it be put back into a Fun Fact? == "Geddup Geddup Geddup!" What the crap? ==

That techno song featuring The Geddup Noise does NOT sound like it has "Geddup Geddup Geddup!" in it. It sounds more like a record scratch repeated three times. I know that "The Teach" (Strong Mad's hand in a blue sock) moves its mouth to the record scratches, but I'm not quite sure that that qualifies as saying "Geddup Geddup Geddup!"
:Well, the only thing I can recommend is to use a nice pair of headphones. That sound definitely started its life as a human voice saying "Geddup," but as far as I can tell it never even involved a record scratching (we just get that idea from seeing The Cheat do so). The vocal sample, it sounds to me, has been run through a high-pass filter and bit-reduced. &mdash;AbdiViklas 17:42, 21 October 2005 (UTC)
When The Cheat scratches the record, I think it does say, "Geddup, geddup, geddup." You can make it talk. I think it was inferred that the record scratch in "Will 2K" says, "What?" 2Fast2Furious

Okay, so it was a human voice, but I think it did involve a record scratch. It would make sense that each time the backup singer says "Geddup, geddup, geddup," the DJ scratches the record, and that's why it sounds distorted. Well, I think you have to edit the flash file to get them to work offline first (which is not too hard). They are at:

Those are the ones I found in my temp folder (even though I didn't get to those levels). If you go to View -> Page Source in Firefox, you can kinda figure out how it works (maybe). --<font face="tw cen mt">E<small>D</small>S<small>MILDE</small></font>

Ooh - found it - They're in another folder called "levelData."

-As a note for other people wanting to edit, you need to get the 5 level files, the main swf, and the object library: . (You can see some game graphics if you view that file)
: I belive I have an answer to why this happens (not 100% sure though), I first saw/played the game on a new(er) computer and it workd fine, but when a tryed to play it on an older computer (that had an out of date flash version) there was no ground. prehaps the version of flash that was the current version when this came out supported the ground that prevented you from falling. just a though.-Anonomys 00:46, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
We don't link to fanstuff because (1) as a knowledge base, we should only list official sources as external links, (2) we don't have any real info on fanstuff nor do we have any control of its content, and (3) if we allowed person A's fanstuff on this page, then we'd have to allow the fanstuff of persons B, C, D, E, and everyone else on all the other pages, and that is not the point of this wiki, nor should keeping up with and policing things like that be one of our chores. &mdash; It's dot com 06:46, 17 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Any glitches that can only be accessed with the cheat version or in custom levels should be treated like out-of-the-frame glitches in the toons - they were not intended to be seen by the public, so there's no reason to allow for them. That is, if there's something that happens because something is not specifically catered for (eg 1-Up kicking a Stafulter) it should not be mentioned here (though it could be mentioned on the fanstuff entry's page). If there is something intentional that can only be accessed this way (like the cabbage enemy was) then it should be mentioned, as a remark or as appropriate on another Stinkoman 20X6 page. Linking to the custom levels here would in my mind be the same as linking to Other Character Email or suchlike from the Strong Bad Email page, and would easily set a precedent for every fanstuff (or even just each category of fanstuff would be bad enough) being linked to from the H*R thing it was inspired by. 17:09, 17 Sep 2005 (UTC)

:There's a difference between "linking to the fanstuff site from this site" to "linking to a fanstuff page from an article on this site" - the articles are supposed to make a knowledge base containing facts about H*R. However the site as a whole contains the knowledge base, the forum, the fanstuff, the chat channel, etc... so links between them outside the articles themselves are still good.
:So what, we have to be actively posting here all the time saying "I still don't want the fanstuff links there" after the discussion seems settled? == Stinkoman Labels ==
Personally, I think there should be some kind of consistency among the level titles. If we are to change the level 8's to level -0's, we should do that throughout the entire page and not just to one of the titles. I changed it back because, having two dashes -0-9 doesnt' exactly look pretty, and it would look even worse if we had (-0)-9, as I had seen once before (if my memory serves me right). Please accept my apologies but I will change it back to the way I had it for the aformentioned reason. If it is deemed better to have all level 8 labels turned into -0 label, then it should be done across the board. Thanks.--Stux 17:36, 13 October 2005 (UTC)
:My vote is too change all -0 tags into 8s. I find the -0 title confusing when being used among other levels. This is probably especially true for newbies. 8 is just much simpler. Ya, proably a Japanese Coach Z. there is s HRWiki article that mentions this.- Not currently a user, 11:02pm, 9th November 2005 (AEST)

Though I have a feeling it's so obvious that it's Coach Z, it might not be Coach Z at all. Just a theory. -FaceCrap 17:53, 24 November 2005 (UTC)

I think that it is Coach Z. In some of the cartoons, Coach Z is represented like that (I cannot remember where). When he was, he looked extremely similar to the end boss.
-Zyborg

Maybe the final boss is an armored Sticklyman. After all, maybe only the cape and armor are shadowed, and the "hat" may be some kinda visor.
:I changed my mind. I do think the Shadowy Figure is 20X6 Coach Z. On the fanstuff wiki, he has many names relating to Coach Z, like "Emeperor Z" and the popular "Master Z". In a Stinkoman comic called "Stinkoman 20X6: The Second Wave" he is called "Evil Z". I do think it is just 20X6 Coach Z, wearing sholder plates and a cape. His sprite is avalible in "Make-O Your Own Stinko", but it has no cape.

Messy Page
The whole fun fact section of this page is a mess. I'm thinking we need to delete some facts, maybe move some pages, stuff like that. Like individual boss fun facts chould go in their own section in the enemies page. And I think a page should be set up of a list of all the "Try Level" "Game Over" and "More Levels To Come" scenes. - <font color=green>Joshua</font>

:It is a bit messy. I'll try sweeping the floor.
:...
:But seriously, yea. Too much info. We need to have a garage sale or something. I'll maybe try to do a bit of work on the page. Probably a few more Fun Facts subsections are needed, as well as maybe an 'updates section', for the little things they change every time they update. 04:07, 8 Sep 2005 (UTC)

::We have precedent for keeping records of when things change, but that's mostly because the toons and such don't change often - this game changes regularly... Perhaps split them off to yet another page? I'm willing to do that now if there's no objections. 03:56, 25 Sep 2005 (UTC)
:::I had another look - I don't think there are enough "in a previous version..." facts to warrant its own page, but I still don't think they should be removed. Perhaps group them all together under a "changes" heading or something... 11:10, 25 Sep 2005 (UTC)

:Hi! I have two points I'd like to talk about (sorry, I'm not really mentioning anything new).
:*This TALK page is indeed still messy. I think we should archive again everything except the Closed (STUFF), XML and couple of most recent (like level 9) conversations. Oh! and this section of course. I'd do it, but um, I hate to ask... how do you archive things again?
::*The Main page has its archives broken in pieces of 20, and has its own template and everything, I think this talk page merits that kind of organization.
:*Um yeah the page is kinda bloated. I was thinking making actual level pages for most stuff (we already have the walkthroughs, which the level pages can point to) like It's dot com suggested. I think it's doable at least for the early stages, and since the game is presumably nearly complete. That or Real World references should have its own page. So what should it be, individual level pages or Real World references? :D
::*Organizing the page now, will save us the headache of updating it later, when it's even more bloated. Adding to a new infrastructure isn't necessarily that much harder.
: Thank you guys for your time!
::It is not even close to being clean. You have been doing a great jorb on this, but it is still to big for its own good. We should probably take out the updates and break the FFs into smaller sections. 03:23, 5 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Some good examples of shortening is that we need to make either A: A Big Fun fact page or B: Seperate articles for all the facts and references.

Separate Fun Facts Page
I have a (possibly controversial) suggestion: why not move *all* of the Fun Facts section to its own page? It is big enough to merit it, and that way we can leave the Stinkoman page short and clean. --Stux 08:56, 29 October 2005 (UTC)

On another note, can the Closed STUFF have its own independent page? It has its own page now which is inserted as a template to make it look like the way it was, since I didn't know if it should be kept here for easy access. I was thinking it could be prominently displayed in the Archive Nav bar. --Stux 08:56, 29 October 2005 (UTC)

:You know, I was thinking that we should move all of the fun facts to an independent page. But STUFF'd facts having there own page, and still being displayed here is over kill. 13:26, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

::Ok. I just didn't know if there was any reason for the STUFF to be visible immediately from the main talk page. Note that this is the same way STUFF is injected into the main STUFF page. As for the FF, if other ppl think it should be done then I'll go ahead and do it (later). --Stux 17:29, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
It would be cool to have a new Stinkoman game with Megaman 7 graphics. It could even have a parody of the MM7 plot (Stinkoman's rival does a horrible attempt to trick Stinkoman into being his "friend", and Stinkoman easily falls for it) the Stinkoman version of Rush would be The cheat and Treble could be a rival The Cheat (The Cheat is a The Cheat, according to "Origins" and other sources"). :#The entire Stinkoman 20X6 is based off the NES Mega Man, with the sprites based off of Mega Man's.
:#True. So maybe Pan Pan could be this "pompom character". Although I don't think he'll float...
:#I agree. It's kind of too late to introduce 20X6 Marzipan. Pan Pan's still a possiblity, though. I highly doubt they're ever going to make a Stinkoman 20X6 II though.

On the fanstuff wiki, I've started a Stinkoman 20X6 2 thing and DonZabu says he'll make it a reality using Game Maker Version 6. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the current subject, but I just thought you'd like to know. 20X6 Marzipan should make another appereance. I mean, I'm sure that TBC wouldn't abandon the character. They might improve it's design like with Old-Timey Strong Sad, but hopefully not abandon it. -Mitchell00 11:12, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
Last Boss Ideas
Is anyone thinking about what the final boss is? I think it has 2 forms. The first one would be the Shadowy Figure, and he could take 30 hits. But after you defeat him, you'll be transported to a the roof of the Evil Castle, and you'll fight Sol Giant, this GIANT robot that takes 50 hits to kill, and takes TWO hits to register an actual hit, making it really take 100 hits to kill. Here's the transcript:

:::Now that I think about it, it was pretty stupid and pointless. But just look at 500 The Cheats! -FaceCrap 14:19, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Here's my second idea. Level 10's boss is the Shadowy Figure/20X6 Coach Z, and he fights using a laser sword. After you beat him, there should be like a "Level Final" where the Shadowy Figure/20X6 Coach Z is in the Z-Wing(the name I gave to the Coach Z ship on the games menu), and he's trying to make a getaway. Is this better?

A third idea. Shadowy Figure/20X6 Coach Z with laser sword like Idea#2, but this time, when you beat him, he reveals this 4-legged mech that looks like something Dr. Wily from Megaman yould use, called the Z Machine(considering he is 20X6 Coach Z). Well, the Z Machine would have 3 forms. Form 1 just has 4 legs, Form 2 would have no legs, but would have 2 mechanical arms and would float about. Form 3 would just be the hovering Z Machine without arms or legs. This idea is a good one.

Is Level 10 Ever Coming?
Apparently so. I just stumbled across this in the forum, figured I'd bring it to the wiki if it's not already here yet, since it seems somewhat legitimate, what you might glean from an interview or the like, in the form of an email from Matt to Power Crunch:

<blockquote>And don't sweat Stinkoman level 10. It's coming. For real. Our<br>
games together but we've got level 10 all figured out and hopefully it<br>
will rule.</blockquote>

::I am in fact, Power Crunch on the forum. And I in fact, apologize if that's confusing. But I in fact, must say, that if you'd like to read the whole letter.

<blockquote>Hey Daniel,
Sadly, we probably won't ever get a talking Homsar. The toys were all a
pretty big pain in the butt to get made and cost a buncha money. I did
recently find this awesome company that makes the little voice box type
things for talking plush dolls:<br><br>

http://www.gmkmg.com/recordable_products.htm<br><br>

So if you happened to be able to sew or knew someone who could sew, then
you could make a Homsar, stick one of those voice boxes in him and put
your fav Homsar jams on it. I know that's kind of a ridiculous thing to
suggest but I just thought of it cause I want to make a musical stuffed
Epona (Link's horse from Legend of Zelda) for my brother's baby that
plays Epona's Song when you squeeze it.<br><br>

And don't sweat Stinkoman level 10. It's coming. For real. Our
programmer guy moved away a year or so ago so it's been harder to put
games together but we've got level 10 all figured out and hopefully it
will rule. We're also working on a big adventure game like Peasant's
Quest except more like the Lucasarts point n' click style games. And
this one will feature the actual characters from the website, not made
up characters like Thy Dungeonman and Peasant's Quest.<br><br>

High five and thanks for writing.<br>
Continute
You expect this game having to let you skip levels? Well, I say that is cheating! I expect NO cheaters allowing to make this game, even if it takes me 40 days and 40 nights! What kind of garbage makes no passwords acquired to activate CONTINUTE, huh?
- From a loyal, somewhat etiquette fan, 21:00, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

:Stinkoman uses Local Shared Objects to store where you're up to in the game, so you can leave and come back and Continute still remembers where you are. One of the restrictions of LSOs is that they're restricted to one URL - when the game moved to a <code>/v2/</code> subdir, it could no longer access the continute data from before. Thus TBC had two choices &ndash; either force everyone who's beaten the game to beat it again every time a new level comes out, or let them start from the new level wherever they were up to before. They understandably chose the latter, because the former would be much more annoying. If you consider it cheating, feel free to not use the feature, and play the game from Level 1.1 every time; I'm not stopping you. 03:59, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Level 10
Looking at this week's fanstuff, does anyone else think that TBC are giving us like, a hint at something?
