'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{rapping}'' I was born to check emails and eat lots of cake!

<blockquote class="lappy email">
<div>subject: dream book</div>
Dear Strong Bad,<br/>
I had a dream that my friend had a Strong Bad<br/>
pop-up book. It was the book of my dreams.<br/>
Kat<br/>
Spokane, Wash.
</blockquote>

''{After reading the main part of the email once, Strong Bad repeats it twice as a rap. He says "Wash." as the word "wash".}'' <!-- However, he pronounces "Spokane" correctly. It is NOT pronounced Spo-kain. -->

'''THE CHEAT:''' ''{The Cheat noises from offscreen}''

''{Cut back to show The Cheat next to his keyboard}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Oh, all right. One more time.

'''THE CHEAT:''' ''{approving The Cheat noises}''

''{Strong Bad jumps on his stool and dances as The Cheat plays on his keyboard and dances.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{rapping}'' I had a dream that my friend had a Strong Bad pop-up book! It was the book of my dreeeams! ''{on "dreams", he jumps up and nearly hits the ceiling}'' There you go, little one. Now get back in there and win me a car!

'''THE CHEAT:''' ''{affirmative The Cheat noises; he rushes off.}''

''{Cut back to the Lappy}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' You know, I feel like that sentence could really apply to anything. ''{moves the cursor up to "pop-up book" and replaces it with "salad".}'' Like, uh, "I had a dream that my friend had a Strong Bad salad. ''{scrolls over toward the other "book" and replaces it with "salad" as well.}'' It was the salad of my dreams." Or maybe like, ''{adds "taco" before each "salad"}'' "I had a dream that my friend had a Strong Bad taco salad. It was the taco salad of my dreams." ''{moves the cursor below the email, types}'' Anyways, a Strong Bad pop-up book. This sounds like a job for: makin' stuff up.

''{Cut to an image of a pop-up book. The inside cover reads "From the libarry <!--sic--> of D. Squirrel" with a dead squirrel drawn in. The first page reads "STRONG BAD'S POP-UP BOOK of your dreams by Strong Bad, for Strong Bad".}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' The Strong Bad pop-up book would obviously feature...

''{The page turns to show Strong Bad near two cherubs. The text reads "This is a good kid." A tab is seen under Strong Bad's head.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ...me hangin' out with some of those wingaling babies! ''{The cherubs bob up and down}'' And I'd have a little tab on my flesh-tangle so you could make me talk! ''{As the pop-up Strong Bad, who waves his arms}'' You little almost-naked babies are so cute, I could just dip you in beer batter and fry you right up! ''{As the cherubs, who bob up and down}'' Okay, Mr. Strong Bad! ''{as himself}'' Oh! And don't forget the ab-tab!

''{The tab moves over and Strong Bad's chest obtains Sharpie abs. The page turns to reveal an image of the Tandy reading "HOW TYPE BOX GLOVES?" Two tabs are seen, one to the right of the screen and one on the keyboard. A speaker can also be seen on the keyboard.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Hey look! It's my crappy old computer! Asking the same crappy old questions!

''{The tab on the screen moves and the screen changes to "DELETED!!"}''

'''SPEAKER:''' ''{very indistinctly}'' Deleted!

'''STRONG BAD:''' The lake head? What does that mean?

''{The tab goes back, taking the screen with it, and changes to "DELETED!!" again.}''

'''SPEAKER:''' Deleted!

'''STRONG BAD:''' Police quest?! This thing is obviously broken.

''{The other tab is pulled, and smoke appears above the computer.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' No wonder I got rid of that old buncha beige.

''{The page turns. Strong Sad is seen covered in cement. A backhoe, cement mixer, and Strong Bad in a construction outfit are seen in the background. The text reads "Strong Sad is covered in Gray cement" with "Gray cement" in a box. A turning wheel is seen on the right, and another tab is seen at the bottom.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Oh, look! Strong Sad has wandered onto my construction site. What sweet fate did I bestow on him from the cement mixer? ''{The wheel turns, the liquid on Strong Sad turns red, and the box reads "Ram's blood".}'' Ram's blood? ''{The wheel turns, the color becomes light yellow, and the box reads "Boston Cream".}'' Boston cream? ''{Again, to a transitional color and "Magic Eye".}'' Magic Eye? Don't forget the flab-tab! ''{The tab is pulled out, and Strong Sad's upper body flips down to make him look flabbier.}''

''{The page turns to a "NegativeZero" fridge. It has a sticky note on it that reads "2 more eggs!"}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' The next page is snack time! What am I gonna have to eat today?

''{The door opens to reveal a single burger patty with two pickle slices on it. A carton of "mmmilk", two eggs, a small paper box, a bottle of "pop!", and a jar of mayo are drawn onto the back.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Whoa! A real-live burger! Do I get one of these every time I turn the page?!

''{The page turns back to the last one, and then to the fridge again. When the door opens this time, there are two burgers inside.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Whoa! ''Two'' burgers! ''{Gavin appears from under a flap and crawls around a little}'' Clearly, this pop-up book ''{The fridge door closes, and Gavin crawls out from under it a moment later}'' is a source of unspeakable power.

''{Spooky music plays. The page then turns to Homestar Runner's image, which has a black eye and two saws stuck through him.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Why look. It's the Homestar Runner! ''{pauses for a moment}'' Bye, the Homestar Runner!

''{The page turns to extremely cartoony images of Strong Bad and The Cheat in front of a cave. The sun can be seen overhead, and there's a tree in front of the cave. There's a tab above the cave and one at the bottom of the page.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{rapidly decreasing volume}'' SeeyalaterStrongBaaa...

''{A wheel under the cutouts of the sun rays starts moving back and forth.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Uh-oh! It looks like The Cheato Bandito has stolen all of Senor Muybueno's gold!

''{The tree flips down, revealing a pile of gold underneath.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Let's help him get some Cheatsabution.

''{The lower tab is pulled and pushed back several times, and as it does, "Strong Bad"'s foot rises and The Cheat moves upward.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Boot 'em up, boot 'em up, boot 'em up, y'all. This is like kicking The Cheat light! All of the flavor, with only half the chance of rabies!

''{The upper tab is pulled, and a bear pokes down in the cave. The tree goes back to normal, and the page turns. Strong Bad's head, with flashing lights for eyes, is in the center. Two towers with ropes between them, and The Tire hanging from them, is in the upper-left, with a sliding tab below it. A "Cold One" is seen to the right of that, with a turn wheel above it. Near it is the BMW Lighter, with a pull tab to its right. A box is in the lower right. A cherub over a "FAT FRYER" is in the lower right, with a tab to its left. In the background, it reads "Slide! Spin! Grasp! Pull! His Head! Tap the flabs! Pull!!!" near each object.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' And the last page would be a veritable cornucop-pourri of pop-up mastery!

''{The various objects all move. The Tire simply falls off its wires. The Cold One has its label replaced over and over. The BMW opens up with a flame, and closes. The box flips over, revealing the same box tipped the other way. The cherub moves into and out of the fryer.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' There'd be tabs and flaps, flabs and taps, a string thing that doesn't work, and some more sound chips and dips.

'''SPEAKER:''' Holy crap!

'''STRONG BAD:''' Sounds like they improved on the technology since page 2! Aaaaaand, don't forget the crap-flap!

''{A flap turns down with a pile of whatsit underneath. Cut back to the Lappy.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' So now the pop-up book is primed and ready for the four year-old<!--sic-->, or The Cheat, in your life to use as a tissue! That thing'll provide seconds of non-ripped apart fun! Speaking of seconds, I'm gonna go eat my burgers.

''{He leaves. [[The Paper]] comes down.}''

==Easter Eggs==
* Click ''Kat Spokane, Wash.'' after Strong Bad raps for The Cheat to reveal a [[Beverly Sportsinterviews]] book titled ''"Cat," spoke Anne, "Wash!"''.
* Click on the pop-up Tandy 400 after Strong Bad says "The Lake Head" to see a comparison between Strong Sad's head and [[Wikipedia:Manicouagan Reservoir|Manicouagan Reservoir]] in Quebec, a circular lake formed by a meteor impact in the late Triassic.
* At the end, click ''The Cheat'' to see a clip of The Cheat, Strong Sad, and Bubs playing dominoes. Bubs is smoking a cigar.

:'''STRONG SAD:''' Ugh, The Cheat wins again. Pay up.

:'''BUBS:''' Well, she's all yours! ''{He hands The Cheat a car key. The Cheat squeals in happiness and does a dance.}''

==Fun Facts==

{{checkstuffpage}}

===Explanations===

*While the name "Senor Muybueno" has no inherent meaning by itself, the corrected Spanish name "Se&ntilde;or Muy Bueno" means "Mister Very Good" in English.
*The "string thing that doesn't work" is most likely a reference to many real life pop-up books that sometimes contain a piece of string that you pull to make something happen instead of pulling a tab or turning a wheel. This contraption does, in fact, almost always break.

[[Image:magiceye.jpg|thumb|right|Magic Eye]]

===Trivia===

*This is the first time we see the main floor ceiling of the [[House of the Brothers Strong]]. <!-- couch patch only showed the basement's ceiling -->
*The [[Floppy Disk Container]] reads [[Floppy Disk Container#codename iceman|"codename: iceman"]].
*Decompiling the SWF reveals that the Magic Eye image is a working stereogram of Saturn<!-- no, it's not a particularly good picture of Saturn, but that's what it is in the book -->, from [http://www.vision3d.com/book.html ''Magic Eye: How to See 3-D''].
*This is the first time that we have seen Strong Bad's tremendous jumping abilities.
*Beer does exist in the Homestar universe, as explained by Strong Bad.

===Remarks===

*Although smoke is shown coming out of the Tandy, the Tandy actually met its demise due to an explosion, not overheating.
*While on the page with the Strong Sad and the cement mixer, pulling the "flab-tab" causes the Strong Sad's torso to come down from the top, which is impossible considering the holes that show the various patterns changed by the wheel are there.

===Inside References===

*This email confirms Strong Bad's statement in [[different town]] that his house has recessed lighting.
*Strong Bad calling the cherubs "wing-a-ling babies" is a reference to the email [[dragon]], where Strong Bad calls [[Trogdor]] a "wing-a-ling dragon."
*The "ab tab" is a reference to the [[Ab-Abber 2000]].
*The following [[Running Gags|running gags]] make appearances in this email:
**[[How Do You Type With Boxing Gloves On?]]
**[[DELETED]]
**[[Kicking The Cheat]]
**[[Strong Bad Hurting Strong Sad]]
**[[BMW Lighter]]
**[[Sticky Notes]]
**[[Smoking]] (Bubs' cigar in the Easter egg)
*The odd-looking Strong Bad in the second-to-last section of the book comes from the Strong Bad Libs Easter egg in [[lackey]].
*"2 more [[Eggs|eggs]]" was an ingredient in [[Strong Bad's EGGS]] in [[morning routine]].
*The label "Negative Zero" on the fridge is a reference to [[Stinkoman 20X6 Walkthrough Level -0|Level -0]] in [[Stinkoman 20X6]], as well as a pun on the high-end refrigerator brand [http://www.subzero.com Sub-Zero].
**Its location on the fridge may be a reference to the weak point of its boss, Ekersby.
*The term "flesh-tangle" is a reference to the fact that Strong Bad's mouth is a rectangle the same color as his flesh, and to the "breadtangle of pizza" from [[Teen Girl Squad Issue 8]].
*Most of the Cold Ones on the last page of the book are from [[property of ones]].
*Strong Bad was also drawn as a construction worker in [[Teen Girl Squad Issue 10]].
<!-- Please don't add the "spooky sound" as an Inside Ref to "myths & legends" or "bottom 10". This goes on the "Sound Effects" page. -->

===Real-World References===

*The Cheato Bandito is a reference to Tex Avery's famous "[[Wikipedia:Frito Bandito|Frito Bandito]]", a character featured in many [[Wikipedia:Fritos|Frito]] commercials back in the 1970s. Cheetos and Fritos are both brands of snack foods.
*[[Wikipedia:Police Quest|Police Quest]] is a series of adventure games published by [[Wikipedia:Sierra Entertainment|Sierra]] between 1987 and 1993.
*[[Wikipedia:Magic Eye|Magic Eye]] is a series of books that feature [[Wikipedia:autostereogram|autostereograms]], which allow people to see 3D images by focusing on 2D patterns. The viewer must diverge their eyes in order to see a hidden 3-dimensional image within the pattern.
*The "Gold Circle" award on the book in the easter egg satires the fact that many childrens' books (which might seem undeserving of an award) get generic 'awards' in the form of a gold circle on the cover.
So how about writing what the edit is actually about? When I check my watchlist or the recent changes, I want to see what edits are about, not some witty comments. Leave those to STUFF headings. {{User:E.L. Cool/sig}} 19:21, 7 January 2006 (UTC)

I have noticed in many edit summaries on the Wiki that their is grey text showing an articles category on its page and a arrow linking to the category. Can you teach me how to do that? [[User:Beat|Beat]] 22:59, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
:Soitenly! First off, I might as well tell you that you don't always have to click on the edit tab at the top of the screen to edit a page and fish through all that text to find what you want. If you want to edit just one section of a page, like, say, inside references, there should be a link that says "edit" on top of the Inside References heading. Click on that, and you'll only be editing that section, making things a whole lot easier. Doing that will automatically generate <nowiki>/* Inside References */</nowiki> in the edit summary, so it shows up grey in Recent changes. To manually make it grey with a link to the section, just put the brackets and the asterisks outside the text. Hope this answers your question! {{User:Has Matt?/sig}} 23:05, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
:Sure! You can use those images for just about anything, even if their main use is for the actual Wiki. If you couldn't use those images on user pages, just think of all the personal images that would have to be needlessly uploaded! {{User:Has Matt?/sig}} 00:51, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

Hey, I was wondering about the song that Strong Bad sang in portrait. You know, the "musical" part? Except for the last couple of notes, it sounds like the song from Fall Float Parade. I was considering getting this fact STUFF'd, but there's a few things:

1. I do not know how to STUFF a fact.

2. I'm nervous because I just ''know'' it will be rejected.

3. I wanted a third-party opinion to see if it would be worth it.

:Well, if you think they sound similar, go ahead, and put it on there. I might as well tell you, though, it's probably just a coincidence. == Will you help me? ==

== What do you think? ==

Do you think the musical part of portrait sounds like Fall Float Parade? Check it out if you need to, and reply to me on my talk page. Get back to me ASAP. --[[User:Nintendostar_Runner|Nintendostar_Runner]]

:Well, if you think they sound similar, go ahead, and put it on there. I might as well tell you, though, it's probably just a coincidence. If a toon is this old and there are still inside references that haven't been noticed, it usually is not a reference. But if you want to know how to STUFF a fact, go to [[HRWiki:STUFF]]. {{User:Has Matt?/sig}} 20:17, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
==Transcript==
'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{singing}'' I'm livin' the Strong Bad life, I take an email for my wife. I take an email for my wife. ''{brings up and reads the email}''

<blockquote class="lappy email">
<div>subject: Hey Strongbad!</div>
Hey Strongbad,<br/>
Does Strong Badia have any Mysterious Myths or<br/>
Legendary Legends?<br/>
Cephas<br/>
Cornwall, CA<br/>
</blockquote>

''{Strong Bad says "Strongbad" as "Two words. Two different words. That are not one word. That are 'Strong' and 'Bad'." and the name and location as "Cephas Cornwall of the Corn Army".}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' Mysterious Myths or Legendary Legends? Isn't that a show on one of those channels up in the high hundreds? Ya know, like between the CG Dinosaur Channel and the Homes with Rollercoasters in Them Network? Well, if not, it should be! ''{makes a static-like sound}'' Come on! ''{makes it again, but this time the screen cuts to static}'' There we go.

''{Cut to Strongbadia. Strong Bad carries a stick.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Strongbadia. An idyllic fruit-opia. Rich in madeupstories and nottrueities. The nottrue-est of which...

''{He prods The Tire with his stick. The Bear-Shark pops up. The Cheat runs by, panicked.}''

'''THE CHEAT:''' ''{screams in The Cheat}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ...is the mighty bear holding a shark. ''{spooky music starts}'' More than a mere security counter-measure, its origins lie in the skies of old.

''{Cut to a starry sky. Constellations of the Strongbadia flag's snake, the guy with the big knife, a hand giving the "OK" symbol, a board with nails in it, General Tso's chicken, a fish with an afro, and a marathon runner.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' The stars tell us that two of the seven elemental spirits of Strongbadia, the fish wearing a 'fro wig and the British distance runner, combined forces to defeat the others.

''{The two constellations in question fight, and in the end, the runner holds the fish over his head.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' In paintball... or maybe Red Rover.

''{Cut back to Strong Bad}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Then, through years of bad story-telling and the telephone game,

''{Over the following, images of a satyr holding a fish, labeled "Wildernessman withst Sea-Beast", an elk with a fish in its antlers, and a bad drawing of the bear-shark on the fence appear.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' The mythic beast transformed into the bear holding a shark we know today. These ancient fence drawings show evidence of destroyed crops, stolen babies, and family bike-rides. ''{The screen pans over to show bad drawings of the same.}'' Or family pie-sitting contests. Bear-holding-a-shark fever gripped the nation.

''{Cut to Bubs' Concession Stand, with various Bear-Shark paraphernelia.}''

'''BUBS:''' ''{holding up an ice cream bar}'' We got Bear-holding-a-shark frozen delights, ''{looking at a pile of glasses near him}'' and these shot glasses are always popular with the kids. Oh, and my favorite: ''{reaches down and produces a necklace}'' these Bear-tooth-holding-a-shark-tooth necklaces!

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' Of course, not everyone caught the fever.

''{Music starts and Bubs dances. Then, cut to Strong Sad. The screen reads "Bear Holding a Shark Skeptic".}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' I'm sure it's just a weather balloon or a foreign exchange student. These strange beasts just aren't real!

''{Cut back to Strong Bad}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ...said the elephant-footed ghost man. And then, one day, the Bear-holding-a-shark got the break all made-up creatures dream of. ''{The screen becomes more and more blurry, and zooms further and further into Strong Bad, on each word in:}'' Blurry photographic evidence.

''{Cut to Homestar Runner}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Now, I'm a little fuzzy on the details, but I was in the woods, walking my dog Pom Pom. All of a sudden, he started growlin' and poopin' all over the place. And that's when I saw him.

''{Static, then cut to a very fuzzy video reel of the Bear-Shark walking through the woods.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{voiceover}'' A very. Scary. Monsterman.

''{More spooky music}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' Now that we've seen all the evidence, it's up to you to decide: ''{the following words appear on the screen}'' Mysterious Myth? Or Legendary Legend?

''{Cut back to the Lappy}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' Join us next week when we examine startling new evidence in the Biscuitdoughhandsman conspiracy.

''{More spooky music. [[The Paper]] comes down.}''

* By viewing the flash file when the "ancient fence drawings" are going by, you can see the following text written in sloppy, childish handwriting outside of the typical viewing area.
<blockquote>by strong<br />bab<br />ag<small>9</small> 5
:'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{holding one of the Bear-Shark ice cream bars}'' So this is supposed to be the bear holding a shark? Looks more like...Morgan Freeman.
:'''BUBS:''' Oh, right! That's what it is! Now gimme twenty extra bucks for that Shawshank style.
:'''COACH Z:''' ''{with voice digitally altered}'' So there I was, minding my own creepy business, when I found this severed hand in the locker room! ''{He holds up a biscuit with a bite taken out.}''

==Fun Facts==
{{checkstuffpage}}
===Explanations===
*"CG" is short for "Computer graphics".
*"Telephone Game" is a game for children where a message is whispered from one participant to another, along a group, causing the message to be distorted more and more.

===Trivia===
*The TV show sound effect incorporates the same musical notes as [[The Geddup Noise]].
*This is another appearance of [[Pie|pie]].

===Remarks===
* If you look at the Bear Holding a Shark's feet during the blurry footage, you can see that they are white with blue soles, indicating Homestar's footage is not quite authentic.
* On the [[FAQ|Frequently asked questions]] page, where it show the eyes of all the characters and allows you to fill in the names, Biscuit Dough Hands Man is multiple words. This is contradictory to the end of this email in which it is spelled "Biscuitdoughhandsman", which in turn is probably a nod to "Strongbad" at the beginning.

===Inside References===
*The Mighty Warrior discussing corn is a reference to [[Teen Girl Squad Issue 10]].
*Coach Z's voice was digitally altered before in [[couch patch]].
*The Cheat was revealed to be scared of the Bear-Shark in [[date]].
*Strong Sad's [[Soolnds]] are mentioned again.
*One of the girls seen on a bicycle in the "ancient fence drawings" bears a resemblance to [[What's Her Face]].
*The "Bear Holding A Shark" ice cream bar is similar in style to the actual [[Ice Cream|ice cream bars]] of Homestar Runner, [[Pom Pom]] and Strong Bad, as seen in the [[Museum]].
*Biscuitdoughhandsman is a reference to "[[Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon]]." Bubs drew him from the [[King of Town]]'s description of the criminal who stole his crown, who was actually Strong Bad.
*"Strong Bab" is a reference to [[The Secrets That I Keep]], in which [[Strong Sad]]'s birthday card was signed the same way by [[Lil' Strong Bad]].
*[[Wikipedia:Fruitopia|Fruitopia]] is a fruit drink manufactured by [[Wikipedia:The Coca-Cola Company|Coca-Cola]].
*Strong Sad dismissing the existence of the Bear holding a Shark, claiming what people actually see is a weather balloon is a reference to the U.S. Government's (and skeptics') common reaction to any UFO sighting or other supernatural event.
*The "Homes with Rollercoasters in Them Network" is likely a reference to the many home improvement shows that exist on channels like [[Wikipedia:TLC|TLC]] and The Discovery Channel, in which rooms are redecorated to fit a specific theme. ''{Strong Bad stretches out "Hey Strong Bad!", says "high-shool... er, highs- high school. highschool (as one word)" instead of just "high school", and reads "Cowiche WA" as one word.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Well, cowichewa to you too, Patrique. Now, I have an extremely unphotographic memory. So, I guess that'd be more like a drawing, or a doodle. Like a doodle memory. ''{clears screen}'' But I would hazard a guess that we were probably just like other cartoons were in high school, i.e. we were a team of super sleuths.

''{Cuts to a splash screen titled "The Homestar Runner Mysfit-steries" with "story by Youdbetterbelieveit Chimendez" in the lower right. Crudely drawn teenage versions of Homestar Runner, Marzipan, Strong Mad, and Strong Bad stand abreast in the center. Dissolve to teenage Marzipan in an old building.}''

'''TEENAGE MARZIPAN:''' Stampers! My long lost uncle's abandoned pie factory sure is mysterious.

''{Cut to a wider shot showing the entire gang.}''

'''TEENAGE STRONG BAD:''' Ah, there's no such thing as "mysterious".

'''TEENAGE HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' I don't want to take any chances. ''{close up shot}'' We should play in a band, just to be safe.

''{Cut to teenage Strong Bad, Strong Mad, Marzipan, and Homestar Runner playing the keyboard, the drums, the tambourine, and the bass guitar, respectively, on a blue backdrop.}''

'''TEENAGE HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{singing without his usual speech impediment}'' Havin' fun with my friends. Words about a mystery. Shakin' hands with my man...

''{Cut back to the Lappy 486.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' And when we weren't debating the existence of mysterious, Strong Mad and I were all the time trying to liberate Homestar from those ridiculous striped ''{pronounced stripèd}'' pants.

''{Cut to teenage Strong Mad, Homestar, and Strong Bad near some lockers. Strong Mad and Strong Bad hold ropes attached to hooks in the ceiling and floor, which then run through hooks on Homestar's waistline. A magnet lies next to Homestar's feet.}''

'''TEENAGE HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Now you guys are sure this won't emancipate me from my ridiculous stripèd pants?

''{Cut back to the Lappy 486.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' So that's what high school ''{pronounced "high-shool", as before}'' was like. In, um, middle school we were a bunch of melon-headed babies with gigantic eyes and enormous...

''{A baby-sized Coach Z tosses with a box marked "NOT A BALL!" up and down, with a plush football beside him. Strong Bad continues, voicing over.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ...imaginations.

'''BABY COACH Z:''' ''{high-pitched, childish voice}'' I'm pretending I'm the craptain of the foortball torm!

''{As Coach Z says this, the nursery-school style background is replaced with a black and white image of a football field.}''

''{Push pan to a baby Strong Bad in a diaper with a small blue cap on his head. He sits holding a video game control pad.}''

'''BABY STRONG BAD:''' ''{high-pitched, childish voice}'' I'm pretending I'm playing better video games! ''{Atari 2600 sound effects play in the background.}'' Aw, man! That freakin' duck swallowed both my pixels!

''{Push pan to a baby Strong Sad and a baby The Poopsmith. Baby Strong Sad has a pink bow in his hair, long eyelashes, and a frilly divide between his torso and trunk. The baby Poopsmith wears a blue baby bonnet and holds a stained rattle, with a large pile of dirty diapers behind him.}''

'''BABY STRONG SAD:''' I'm pretending I'm not sitting next to The Diapersmith.

''{As Strong Sad says this, the background, including The Diapersmith's diapers, is replaced by a black and white image of a bi-plane.}''

''{The Diapersmith turns to baby Strong Sad and blows a raspberry.}''

''{Black and white image vanishes. Pan to the legs of Homestar Runner, who is wearing puffy red and white pants and holding a broom.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Now you children skedaddle. ''{pushes sweeping end of broom at The Diapersmith and Strong Sad}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voicing over, in normal voice}'' And going even unnecessarily further back, ''{as Strong Bad says this, baby Pom Pom bounds by the screen, with a Bumble Ball body form and no distinguishable head.}'' we were all a bunch of plucky parameciums <!--{sic}--> living in Free Petry <!--{sic}--> Dish USA.

''{Cut to a petri dish with a liquid inside resembling the shape of the United States of America.}''

''{Cut to a paramecium Bubs floating in a box marked "BUB5AMECIUM'S PROTOZOA STAND". A paramecium Homestar floats up.}''

'''HOMESTARMECIUM:''' Hey there, Bubsamecium. I need to buy some embarrassing items for my embarrassing body parts.

'''BUBSAMECIUM:''' Certainly! Six tubes of rear-end cream coming right up! ''{He brings out a bag with said tubes of cream, and gives it to Homestarmecium.}''

''{Cut to a close-up of a viral Strong Bad.}''

'''STRONGBADIOPHAGE:''' Oh ho ho! Whatcha buying there, Homestarmecium?

''{Cut to a wide shot. Strongbadiophage "walks" in from the left.}''

'''HOMESTARMECIUM:''' Uh-oh, it's Strongbadiophage. Um, uh, these are for my twin brother! ''{Homestarmecium divides into two of himself, and both speak in unison}'' These are for my twin brother! ''{the two Homestarmecia divide into four}'' These are for my twin brother! ''{the four divide into eight}'' These are for my twin brother!

'''STRONGBADIOPHAGE:''' Aaaahh!! ''{he runs off}''

''{Cut back to the Lappy 486.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' And then, of course, before that we were ''{pause}'' Romans...living in Roman times. And Don Knotts was always showing up. So there you go, Patrice. Just the facts. ''{types the score on different lines}'' Strong Bad Emails: 1, Not Strong Bad Emails: 0. ''{stops typing}'' You guys keep score at home. I'll see you next time. ''{runs off singing}'' Oh, havin' fun with my friends...

''{[[The Paper]] comes down.}''
*Click on the word "unphotographic" to reveal a photographic memory of the [[caper|jumble caper]].
**Click on the resulting image to reveal the doodle memory version of the same event. Strong Bad is carrying a large gemstone out of a vault, [[The Cheat]] is drawn as a rattlesnake-like creature carrying a turkey on a platter, and a sign points to the right reading "Subwoofers."
*Click on "Roman" to see what those times were like.
:'''THE HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Oh... aqueduct.
:'''OLD-TIMEY STRONG BAD:''' Hm... yes! Vomitorium!

==Fun Facts==
{{checkstuffpage}}
===Explanations===
*"Cowichewa to you too" is an aural allusion to "[[Wikipedia:List of common phrases in various languages#Japanese|konnichiwa]]", a basic Japanese greeting.
*Homestarmecium, despite his name, is drawn without a nucleus. This suggests that he could actually be construed as a [[Wikipedia:Bacteria|bacterium]] (a [[Wikipedia:Prokaryote|prokaryote]]), rather than a [[Wikipedia:Paramecium|paramecium]] (a [[Wikipedia:Eukaryote|eukaryote]]), and that he replicates himself using [[Wikipedia:Binary Fission|binary fission]] (eukaryotes replicate via [[Wikipedia:Mitosis|mitosis]]).
**On the other hand, the "hairs" on his head area may suggest he's a [[Wikipedia:Ciliate|ciliate]], which would rule out the possibility of being a bacterium. While Bubs also has "cilia" patches, his outline suggests the stereotypical image of an amoeba rather than the typical "footprint" shape of a paramecium.
***However, since some bacteria have cilia as well, this option is still possible.
*Strongbadiophage, which has a hexagonal head upon a column ending in 6 legs, appears to be a T4 Phage [[Wikipedia:Bacteriophage|bacteriophage]]. This type of [[Wikipedia:Virus|virus]] attacks bacteria, not paramecia, and forces the host cell to create copies of the virus by modifying the cell's DNA.
**The [[Wikipedia:T4_phage|T4 Bacteriophage]] was likely chosen to represent Strong Bad because it is by far the most easily recognised virus, not necessarily because of its nature.
**Just as "bacteriophage" means "one who devours bacteria," "Strongbadiophage" may be taken to mean "one who devours [[Strong Badia]]" or simply "one who devours Strong Bad".
*The Homestar Runner mentions [[Wikipedia:Aqueducts|aqueducts]]. The Roman Aqueduct system is perhaps the most famous ever built, running over 250 miles across their empire and supplying over a million gallons of water a day to ancient Rome alone.
*A Roman [[Wikipedia:Roman eating and drinking#Vomitorium|vomitorium]] was a passage situated below or behind a tier of seats in an amphitheatre, through which the crowds could "spew out" at the end of a show. Contrary to popular belief, it does not refer to a place where people would go to vomit.
*In the Roman easter egg, Sickly Sam is wearing a sack that says OLIVES. Olives were valuable back in that era.

===Trivia===
*When this email was released, the [[Main Pages|main page]] button read "new strong bad email" and "nothing else!". The site had just experienced an unusually long hiatus, 35 days, since the last major update.
*"[[The Homestar Runner Mysfit-steries]]" is written by Youdbetterbelieveit [[A. Chimendez|Chimendez]].

===Remarks===
*Strong Bad [[Fourth Wall Breaks|breaks the fourth wall]] by acknowledging the fact that he is a cartoon character.
*This email appears to support the idea that Strong Bad and Homestar were once friends, as was first suggested by Homestar in [[The Best Decemberween Ever]].
*Teenage Homestar plays a left-handed bass guitar.
*Baby Coach Z wearing green pajamas supports the theory that he wears a green body suit, as Strong Bad questioned in [[labor day]].
*Strong Bad seems to be a little confused on Coach Z's age: In his "middle school" flashback, Coach Z appears about the same age as him, but in [[stand-up]], Strong Sad's video tape reveals that Coach Z was already an adult when Strong Bad was a little kid.
*[[Wikipedia:Petri dish|Petri dish]] is misspelled in "Free Petry Dish USA" as a reference to [[Free Country, USA]].
*This is the first time we've seen Marzipan's legs.

===Goofs===
[[Image:20060108_highschool_masking_goof.png|thumb|Masking goof]]
[[Image:Mysfit-steries.PNG|thumb|An unsettling mistake]]
*When the email was released, Strong Bad's reflection went outside of the Lappy's screen as he got up. This occurred due to lack of using a masking effect. This was corrected shortly after it was released.
*Originally, on the Mysfit-steries title screen, Strong Mad's fist was visibly protruding from between Marzipan's thighs. This has since been fixed. His other fist features a similar problem by going in front of Strong Bad's left arm, and this has yet to be fixed.

===Inside References===
*The photo from the "[[Wikipedia:Eidetic memory|photographic memory]]" Easter Egg is a screen shot from [[caper]].
*There is another reference to [[Homestar's Pants]].
*The "[[Pie]] [[Pie Factory|factory]]" was originally mentioned in [[stunt double]], though the location bears a resemblance to Eustice Pietimer's estate in [[That A Ghost]].
*The horizontal lines on the wall of the middle school may be a reference to the lines on the wall of [[Strong Bad's Basement]].
*During his song, Homestar mentions "shaking hands with my man," possibly supporting the notion that he has [[Lack of Visible Arms|invisible hands]].
*The "freakin' duck" is a reference to one of the deleted scenes in [[In Search of the Yello Dello Deleted Scenes|In Search of the Yello Dello]], and also to [[Main Page 13]]. In this context it most likely refers to the [[Atari Dragon]].
**It is also another mention of [[Ducks|ducks]].
*Baby Strong Bad's left eye has a star-shaped reflection, which is also seen in the [[Strong Bad 404 Error Page|Old 404 page]].
*Bubsamecium's Protozoa Stand reads "Bub5amecium's", making this another instance of [[Internet Slang|Leetspeak]].
*The multiple Homestarmeciums are an instance of [[Twin Characters|twin characters]].

===Real-World References===
*"The Homestar Runner Mysfit-steries" parodies ''[[Wikipedia:Scooby-Doo|Scooby-Doo]]'', as well as numerous other [[Wikipedia:Cartoon Network Studios|Hanna-Barbera]] cartoons such as ''Jabberjaw'', ''Josie and the Pussycats'', and ''Speed Buggy''. These cartoons featured common themes of teenagers and young adults solving mysteries and playing together in bands.
*"Stampers" is a parody of the ubiquitous nonsensical Scooby-Doo exclamations, such as "Jinkies!", "Jeepers!", and "Zoinks!"
*Strong Mad's "Mysfit-steries" design is likely a reference to Red Herring, a punk kid with similar curly red hair and acne (but no glasses) from the Scooby-Doo spin-off A Pup Named Scooby Doo. Young Freddy almost always accused Red of whatever crimes they were investigating during the episode.
*The "middle school" portion of the email parodies ''[[Wikipedia:Muppet Babies|Jim Henson's Muppet Babies]]''.
*Based on the "freakin' duck", Baby Strong Bad is most likely playing [[Wikipedia:Adventure (Atari 2600)|Adventure]].
*The black and white picture behind Baby Strong Sad and The Diapersmith is from the historic [[Wikipedia:Image:Wrightflyer.jpg|first flight]] made by the [[Wikipedia:Wright brothers|Wright brothers]] in 1903 at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
**Live action backdrops such as this one and the football field behind Baby Coach Z were used in Muppet Babies when the babies would use their imaginations.
*Homestar as the matronly nursery character saying "Now you children skedaddle" is a reference to and hybrid of both Nanny from Muppet Babies and the Mammy-Two-Shoes character from [[Wikipedia:Tom and Jerry (MGM)|Tom and Jerry]]. The costume and Southern colloquialisms are suggestive of the African American "Mammy", who often wallops the cat with a broom when he misbehaves. "Nanny", likewise, was only shown from the waist down.
*[[Wikipedia:Don Knotts|Don Knotts]] is an actor best known for playing [[Wikipedia:Barney Fife|Barney Fife]] on [[Wikipedia:The Andy Griffith Show|''The Andy Griffith Show'']]. He also twice guest-starred in the ''New Scooby-Doo Movies'' cartoons.
