Angel
*In a season five episode of Angel entitled The Girl in Question, Spike and Angel visited Buffy's apartment and instead found Andrew, who was wearing a black Strong Bad t-shirt. Later in the episode, Andrew wore the same Strong Bad shirt with a pore strip plastered on his nose.
*Incidentally, Andrew is the very same character who appeared in the Trogdor-laden Buffy reference. Since both shows are the brainchildren of creator/writer/executive director Joss Whedon, we can probably assume that the creator of Buffy is also a fan of Homestar Runner.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
In the series finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Ep. 722) Trogdor was used as a creature in a game of Dungeons and Dragons.
They announced that later this year they are going to release a DVD with the first hundred emails. STRONG BAD: {singing} So innocent and email-free.... That's you 'n me.

{He pulls up the e-mail and reads it aloud.}

Hey, yo there Strong Bad!
I was wondering why The Cheat is such
a diligent lackey. Did you save his
life one time and now he has to repay
you?

Steve
Victoria, BC

STRONG BAD: {typing} BC? Whoa! This is an old freakin' email. Most of the emails I get are ADs. And the occasional JD. Wow. I wonder if it was written on, like, a stone tablet. Or maybe some, uh, papyrus. Anyhow... {Strong Bad clears the screen and continues typing.} No, Steve, The Cheat is a good lackey because he "knows what's best" and "doesn't want to get left by the side of the road during a thunderstorm" or "taped to Pom-Pom again." {He clears screen and continues typing.} It probably also has to do with the fact that I "treat him like a brother that's not Strong Sad" instead of a "little yellow squeaky thing that somethetimes steals my ladytypes." I also pay him real nice. Which isn't very difficult considering The Cheat "thinks pencil shavings are legal tender." Check it out...

{Strong Bad sharpens a pencil with a small handheld sharpener.}

STRONG BAD: Hey, The Cheat!

{The Cheat walks in.}

THE CHEAT: {The Cheat noises}

{Strong Bad waves his hand over the fresh pencil shavings.}

STRONG BAD: I'll pay you all these precious pencil shavings if you go pilfer me a cantaloupe from Marzipan's melon patch.

THE CHEAT: {The Cheat noises, then runs out}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Ahhhh, look at him go. So excited, so naive... {Naive is said like the word "knave."}

{The Cheat runs back in with a canteloupe.}

THE CHEAT: {The Cheat noise}

STRONG BAD: Whoa, supa soivice! Thanks man. You can go back to whatever you were doin'.

THE CHEAT: {angry The Cheat noises while pointing to the pencil shavings}

STRONG BAD: Oh, right. Your "payment." Here ya go!

{Strong Bad scrapes pencil shavings onto The Cheat's head.}

THE CHEAT: {grateful The Cheat noises}

STRONG BAD: Awwww, that's almost adorable... Now, what am I gonna to do with all my tons of new stuff? A sharp pencil...and a can-ta-loo-pay. The possibilities are endless! I suppose I could use the pencil to draw a little guy on the cantaloupe.

{Strong Bad mumbles while drawing a face on the cantloupe.}

STRONG BAD: Ooh, and then if I jammed the cantaloupe on the end of the pencil... Hey everybody look! It's Doreauxgard! How ya doin', Doe?

DOREAUXGARD: Hey, there, Mister Strong Bad! Well, I'm fine, past couple days though...

{Cut to Bubs' Concession Stand with The Cheat.}

BUBS: Your total comes out to fifteen tooty-two!

THE CHEAT: {makes a The Cheat noise while pushing the pencil shavings onto the counter.}

BUBS: What's this malarkey?

THE CHEAT: {The Cheat noises}

{The Cheat points to a sign saying: "We'll Gladly Accept: Cash, Money, or Cash Money." "Pencil shavings" has been added at the bottom.}

BUBS: Well, if it's on the sign... Nice doin' business witchya!

{The Cheat walks off with his new "Boy's Hobby Kit." Doreauxgard shows up}

DOREAUXGARD: Hey, there, Mr. Bubs. I'm from the collection agency. You missed your last payment. Gonna have to bust your kneecaps if ya don't pay up!

BUBS: Oh, dag! You found me!

{Bubs slams down a metal shop gate, revealing "SB" graffiti.}

{The Paper comes down.}

STRONG BAD: Whoa! Forgot about that one! I mean...

DOREAUXGARD: Sure is some niiice graffiti!

No, dan, the Cheat is a good lackey
because he "(active verb phrase (i.e. "does some stuff."))"
and "(negative active verb phrase (i.e. "doesn't do some stuff."))" or
"(active verb phrase)." It probably
also has to do with the fact that I
treat him "(comparison phrase (i.e. "like an idiot"))"
instead of a "(noun)."
I also pay him real nice. Which isn't
very difficult considering the Cheat
"(another stupid active verb phrase)."
Check it out.

Fun Facts
Trivia
*When this email was first put up, you could click "Stone Tablet" and "Papyrus" to see fake emails written on said items. These have since been removed.
*In the StrongBad Libs Easter Egg, we can see Strong Bad's green tongue, introduced in Super NES.
*The floppy disk container was accidentally placed behind the flash border, and cannot be read in the toon. Decompiling the flash file reveals the title to be "maniac mansion".

Goofs
*Strong Bad misspells Pom Pom. (He spells it with a hyphen.)
*When Doreauxgard is in front of Compy 386, you can't see the contrast buttons.
*When Strong Bad contemplates what to do with his sharp pencil and cantaloupe, you can see another pencil behind Strong Bad's head. The pencil is resting on the keyboard, which is where Strong Bad was holding it earlier in the e-mail.

Inside References
*When The Cheat is buying the hobby kit, Bubs says, "and that comes out to fifteen-Tooty-two," which is an inside joke.
*When Strong Bad says The Cheat doesn't want to be taped to Pom Pom again he is referring to the e-mail your friends.
*In the Strong Lib easter egg, it calls the author of the email Dan.

Real-World References
*"JD" is a reference to Julian Date, an astronomical dating system that counts the total days from January 1, 4713 BC (for example, January 26, 2004 AD is 2453031 JD).
*Strong Bad's remark about "super service" (in a Brooklyn accent) is a reference to the Three Stooges short Violent is the Word for Curly

Fast Forward
*Doreauxgard is an actual cantaloupe in the Easter egg, but The Brothers Chaps later created an actual Doreauxgard puppet with a moving mouth that has not been used on the site but can be seen in their Comcast interview as well as an old Pulse interview.
*The Strong Bad Libs version of Strong Bad would later be seen in pop-up, as "Senor Muybueno".

DVD Version
*The Boy's Hobby Kit Easter egg is viewable using the angle button on your DVD remote.
*The Homestar Runner and Doreauxgard Show Easter egg is now fullscreen and in much higher quality video. It also adds a tiny bit of additional footage to the end (though sans any dialogue).
*The Strong Libs Easter egg now has Strong Sad moderating a Strong Lib and Strong Bad reluctantly playing.
Transcript
STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Awww, don't make me do this thing! They're only funny when you're, like, 4 years old.

STRONG SAD: {voiceover} No, we're gonna do it, and it's gonna be great! {booklet flips to page two} OK, I need an active verb phrase.

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Uhm... "brings the noise"

STRONG SAD: {He writes "brings the noise" in.} {voiceover} OK, now I need a negative active verb phrase.

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} "Never takes two."

STRONG SAD: {He writes in "never takes two."} {voiceover} O-kay... Uh, another active verb phrase.

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Uh, let me think about it, "gets busy."

STRONG SAD: {He writes in "gets busy."} {voiceover} OK. A comparison phrase. You know, like "like an idiot."

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} "Like a beard."

STRONG SAD: {He writes in "like a beard."} {voiceover} What? Oh, OK, I need a noun.

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} "Throat lozenge."

STRONG SAD: {He writes in "throat lozenge."} {voiceover} All right, and finally, one more active verb phrase.

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} I can't think of anymore!

STRONG SAD: {He writes in "can't think of anymore."} OK! Great! Let's see how it turned out! {turns page} "A Strong Bad Email. No, dan, the Cheat is a good lackey because he 'brings the noise' and 'never takes two' or 'gets busy.'" You see, that's... You told me to write that.

STRONG BAD: {voiceover, irritated} I know! Hurry up and finish!

STRONG SAD: {voiceover} Oh! "It probably also has to do with the fact that I treat him 'like a beard' instead of a 'throat lozenge.'" You see, that's good, you see, you wouldn't... you'd rather be treated like—

STRONG BAD: {voiceover, angry} Come on!

STRONG SAD: {voiceover} "I also pay him real nice. Which isn't very difficult considering that the Cheat 'can't think of anymore.' Check it out." See, that turned out pretty good! Strong Bad?

STRONG BAD: {voiceover, more distant} I'm already playing Nintendo in the other room!

Fun Facts
*Oddly enough, Strong Sad writes the phrases in Strong Bad's handwriting.
April Fools' 2006

Shadow El: /* Fixed Glitches */

On April Fool's Day 2006, The Brothers Chaps flipped the site upside down.
Fun Facts
Remarks
*The following pages / sites are exempt from the flipping because they are hosted separately from the main H*R content or are not Flash files:
**Strong Bad's Website
**Store
**Legal
**Strong Sad's Lament
**Stinkoman 20X6
***Note that if a HTML file is put together to try to do this, the "no Flash 7" warning appears.
**Podstar Runner
**Store Thank You Messages
**All the stuff in Museum.

*Seek bars do not work with the flipped toons.
*Amusingly, this makes Homsar's character page right-side up.

Glitches
*Any time that a second Flash file is overlaid on the first it is not flipped.
*Several toons that are not the usual 550x400 resolution are not centered properly:
**virus
***This email also suffers from its custom navbar missing, so Homestar pulls his words from nowhere.
**Not the 100th Email!!!
**Handheld Games Menu
**flashback and Main Page 22 are both correct, as they use their own flipper swf files, which handle the different size.
*Some pages have invisible or missing text:
**Under Construction
**Main Page 22 (games button is missing)
*TROGDOR! doesn't load up properly - the game itself takes up only the bottom right quarter of the usual frame, and the rest is filled in with gray.
*Many buttons and other scripts on some of the site do not work, as they use the
_root
property in ActionScript to access the main scene of the Flash file. However, with the flipper file loading the main scene,
_root
actually referrs to the flipper, not the scene itself. The Brothers Chaps could have gotten around this by using the
_lockroot
property in the flipper, but it seems they didn't know about it.
**Many of the rollover button effects on the Main Pages don't work. In most cases, the speaker simply says the name of the button that is hovered over (without moving his lips) and no visual effects or other sounds occur.
**The Eject button on the Characters page (which normally makes Homsar's video come out of the VCR) does nothing.
**Edgar's Baby's Daddy on candy product does not appear. Neither does the Old-Timey Easter egg in little animal.
**The video clips in HomestarRunner.com PAY PLUS! repeat themselves automatically.
**The rando link on the navbar does not work.
**The King of Town DVD, King of Town Main Page and anything linked from there loop at the end instead of stopping.
***Additionally, Revenge of the King seems to have a similar fate to TROGDOR! (with the broken screen), except you can not hurt The King of Town, nor does he shoot at you. The timer also doesn't work
**On the Decemberween Email Menu, none of the Easter eggs work.
**The buttons on Downloads don't work.
**The Telebision Toons Menu does not work.
**On any Strong Bad Emails featuring the Tandy 400 or the Compy 386, the contrast buttons don't work. This includes the Easter eggs in gimmicks. The ripples on the Lappy 486 appear and disappear much faster than normal, and do not stay if the mouse button is held down.
**In any of the Strong Bad's Message Bored Games, none of them work right. There is no possble way to score on any of them.
**In First Time Here?, the number of takes never changes.
**The Peasant's Quest Movie Trailers never load.
**The number of messages on Marzipan's Answering Machine never changes.
*In Peasant's Quest, Trogdor's voice doesn't work.
**When the Kerrek is encountered, his tune does not play.
**Trying to kill Poor Gary proves unsuccesful.
*Main Page 23 is missing the "What's New" and "Weeklies" buttons.
*It seems that the text in the Quote of the Week isn't bold, like before the 'flip'.
*Nothing in the Handheld Games Menu (except for Homestar Quiz), including itself, is fully playable.
**None of the buttons in the actual menu work (except for "new games").
**None of the buttons in Dancin' Bubs work.
**Homestar Talker does not lay out stars for each correct word, and never progresses to the Strong Bad Talker.
**Nothing but the bongos in Audition With Marzipan are playable.
**Bronco Trolleys is broken; you can click the "Play" button, but the timer doesn't work and the ingredients are missing.
**Neither the text boxes nor the finished libs work in Strong Libs.
**Hairstyle Runner is playable, but many things are not visible because the top frame is off-center.
**The fortune cookies in Fortune Cookies do not work.
**The Spin and Say does not spin.
**The buttons on the Astro Lite don't work.

Fixed Glitches
* Originally, the "What's new" button on the main pages did not appear in the correct location and was right-side up. This was fixed shortly after the "feature's" release.
* The Strong Bad Email menu originally did not list any emails. This was also fixed.
* The Weeklies popups originally appeared right-side up, but were later fixed so that they would appear flipped like the rest of the site.
*Many of the rollover button effects on the Main Pages don't work. In most cases, the speaker simply says the name of the button that is hovered over (without moving his lips) and no visual effects or other sounds occur. This was later fixed.

Real-World References
*The Flash file that causes the pages to be flipped contains the phrase "They call him Flipper", which is one of the lyrics to the Flipper theme song.

External Links
*View the Flash file for the flipped opening page
*Several toons with different sizes have their own flash file to compensate:
**View the Flash file for the flipped navbar
STRONG BAD: Ladies and gentlemen. I give you...a-da sbe-mail.

{reading}

Dear Strong Bad,

I was wondering if you have ever
thought of a children's book,
what it was about, and what kind of
words did you try to teach the kids.

Your fan,
Steve Buttz

{Instead of Buttz, Strong Bad says "Never mind. I'm not even gonna touch that one."}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Yeah, I wrote a children's book. {Strong Bad pronounces book "bük"} Who hasn't? I mean, kids can barely read as it is so how hard can it be to write for them? The book I wrote is called

{cut to the book itself. The name of the original author, Leomard Sportsinterviews, has been crossed out, and Strong Bad's name is in its place. We find this sort of thing throughout the entire book.}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Everyone is Different. So here we go.

{Strong Bad opens the cover of the book, where we can see that the book's original owner was Strong Sad.}

STRONG BAD: {reading} Everyone is different. No two people are the same.

{He turns the page. A picture of a kid riding a red bike is there, with Strong Bad having drawn a big truck behind him. The original text is "Some people have freckles. Frankie has freckles."}

STRONG BAD: {reading} Some people are about to be run over. Frankie has about 5 seconds.

{He turns the page. There's a picture of a tall African-American kid with a tennis racket, and added drawings of fighters and helicopters shooting at him while he smashes a city. The original text is "Some people are very tall. Quincy is very tall."}

STRONG BAD: {reading} Some people are very tall and merciless. Quincy is destroying San Antonio.

{He turns the page. There's a picture of a girl with glasses reading a book. The original text is "Some people wears [sic] glasses. Beth wears glasses."}

STRONG BAD: {reading} Some people wears glasses. Beth looks like a dude.

{He turns the page. There's a picture of a kid in a baseball uniform and glove with Strong Bad having scribbled a squirrel on his left hand. The original text is "Some people are left-handed. Gregor is left-handed."}

STRONG BAD: {reading} Some people are squirrel-handed. Gregor is a weird name.

{He turns the page. There's a picture of a heavyset girl with braces and headgear, and Strong Bad has scribbled on a football jersey and a football field. The original text is "Some people have braces. Some people have headgear. Fran has both."}

STRONG BAD: {reading} Some people have braces. Some people have headgear. Fran could play linebacker for the Raiders.

{He turns the page. A picture of a red-headed kid on a pogo stick, which Strong Bad has changed to the detonator of a huge amount of TNT planted in an enemy base. A guy is flying out of the base saying "AHH! i'M BEiNG KiLLED!!" The original text is "Some people have red hair. Albert has red hair."}

STRONG BAD: {reading} Some people have rigged the enemy base with explosives. Albert has.

{He turns the page. There is a girl jumping rope with wavy lines drawn coming from her mouth with the word "HOTNESS." Strong Bad has also drawn himself next to her saying "hiya hotcakes." The original text is "Some people have a Southern accent. Trisha has a Southern accent."}

STRONG BAD: {reading} Some people have a Southern accent, and those are hot. Trisha is a severe hottie.

{He turns the page. What was once a girl twirling a hula hoop is now a girl being swallowed whole by a huge monster, with an expression of horror drawn over her face, one of her legs disintegrating into bone, and a bag of money in her hand. The original text is "Some people have curly hair. Hillary has curly hair."}

STRONG BAD: {reading} Some people are being fangoriously devoured by a gelatinous monster. Hillary's legs are being digested.

{He turns the page. We have a picture of everyone we saw before, and they're all being burned by fire. The original text is "Everyone is different. No two people are the same.}

STRONG BAD: {reading} Everyone is different. No two people are not on fire. Awwwww.

STRONG BAD: {typing} So there's my book {pronounced "bük" again}. Pretty good, eh Steve? And the words that we taught the kids were, uh, fangoriously, gelatinous, and um, {mumbling} linebacker {this is typed in very small text}. You know, education at its finest. Well, some people need to go get an ice cream sandwich. Strong Bad needs to go get an ice cream sandwich.

{Strong Bad stands up and leaves, and then The Paper comes down.}

Easter Eggs
*At the end click on "book" to see Strumstar Hammer, Strong Bad's revised edition of the Original Book.
*You can click on "eh Steve" to see a page about Eh! Steve. Click on it to see a revised edition.
**ORIGINAL VERSION: {a picture of Eh! Steve} Some people are named Eh! Steve. Eh! Steve is not exactly a person.
**REVISED VERSION: {a circular rope trap is drawn around Eh! Steve. The Wheelchair is faded in the background with the other end of the rope} Some people are <s>named Eh! Steve</s> talkin wheel chairs. Eh! Steve <s>is not exactly a person</s> will get what he deserves.

Fun Facts
Trivia
*On the page with Trisha, there is no period in the second sentence.
*According to the inside of the front cover, the original book belonged to Strong Sad.
*This is the first appearance of chairscoot. (See fast-forward)
*The summary on the Podstar Runner RSS feed for this video says "Strong Bad seriously defaces a children's book."

Remarks
*As Strong Bad progresses through the book, the stack of pages on the right never decreases, and the stack of pages on the left never increases.
*As each page is turned, you can still see it through the back of the paper on the left (reversed, of course).
*The book lacks page numbers and any publishing information, but it is possible that Strong Bad ripped out the publishers' page (Ususally the first page of a book, after a title page).

Real-World References
*The design of the children's book is very obviously based on the old Golden Books, right down to the yellow vined border on and near the book's spine.
*Strong Bad uses the term "fangoriously" in the email, probably in reference to the magazine Fangoria, which is dedicated to covering horror films and movie monsters.
*The Raiders are Oakland's team in the NFL. They have won the Super Bowl multiple times.

Fast Forward
*A holiday edition of the book would appear in Decemberween In July.
*In the email geddup noise, Strong Bad reveals that this is the email in which The Geddup Noise left and was replaced by Chairscoot.

DVD Version
*The Strumstar Hammer Easter egg is not only accessible (and viewable on the old Toons menu TV), you get to hear Strong Bad read it!
*You also get to hear Strong Bad and Bubs as the Talking Wheelchair read the Eh! Steve Easter Egg in turn.
*The DVD version features hidden creators' commentary. To access it, switch your DVD player's audio language selection while watching.
Commentary Transcript
(Commentary by: Mike Chapman, Matt Chapman)

MIKE: All right, this is the... commentar— {starts laughing} Sorry, let's start that over.

MATT: No, let's get going!

MIKE: So this was a fun one to make. Anytime there's an email where you get to do some drawings or do some, just kind of, non-regular Homestar Runner, Strong Bad type illustrations... it's kind of fun.

MATT: Yeah. Mixes it up.

MIKE: We had to go buy Prismacolor... Prisma... Prismacolor markers for this one.

MATT: Yes. To color.

MIKE: I brought, uh, I bought colored pencils and Prismacolors.

MATT: That's the another appearance of Lem— That's when you see what Lem Sportsinterviews' full name is.

MIKE: {simultaneously} full name.

MATT: Leomard. So there's the Alamo down there, that's how you know it's San Antonio. She looks kind of like Marcie, from Peanuts, too.

MIKE: I don't... {mumbles in agreement} He's on the S Team.

MATT: Did I draw that one? Basically, that was just Mike making fun of my drawing {Mike laughs} 'cause I gave that that girl some broad shoulders, and a big chest. I like Strong Bad's depictions of himself, they're always good.

MIKE: Mmm-hmm.

MATT: That gelatinous monster is...

MIKE: I like how she's dropping money. She's walking around with a bag of money.

MATT: His "book."

MIKE: Um... why didn't we have more to say about this one?

MATT: I don't know. I thought we picked this one because I thought we'd have a wealth of things to say.

MIKE: I like how the text gets small anytime when Strong Bad mumbles things.

MATT: {laughing} Yeah. The Shift key.

MIKE: The function key.

MATT: {laughing} The mumble key.

The Yearbook Character Page was a school-themed biography page. Selecting each character brings up a short description of his or her personality and role within the group.

There is an "autographs" portion of the yearbook where some of the guys have signed "your" book for you. Their character traits are further emphasized by their comments and handwriting. Strong Sad's superb penmanship is seen here, as well as Pom Pom's phone numbers. It can be noted that Strong Mad can write, but spelling remains a hurdle.

This page marks the cementing of The Poopsmith as a core member of the group.

Page Title (autographs page): This year was the best!
Bubs
{Bubs is standing in front of a silhouetted concession stand, throwing a can and kicking it back to his hand.}

Bubs is an entrepreneur,
but he can't spell that, so
let's just say he's awesome.
He runs the concession stand
down at the sports fields.
That's why come he's so fat.
He keeps eating all his profits.
But then he goes out and
dances all the pounds off at
Disco Tech, where he attends
night courses. In his spare time he has boring
conversations with Coach Z and reads back issues
of Motor Trend magazine.

The Cheat
{The Cheat is standing in front of some blue spots, narrow his eyes, shift to both sides and smiles.}

Nobody knows what the Cheat
is exactly or where he comes
from but my guess is Space. He
sure does like to cheat though.
His personal motto, "No rule is
solid" and his love of all that is
untrue and incorrect keep him
from accomplishing very much.
He gladly does all the dirty work for the Brothers
Strong, and nobody ever seems to blame the
Cheat for what he done. I mean he's the Cheat.
Come on. When all is said and done, and your
grandkids live on Mars, the Cheat'll be doin alright.

Coach Z
{Coach Z is standing in front of a silhouetted writing board and spinning a whistle with his hand.}

Coach Z is a crazy man from
another country that sleeps
in the locker room. He's also
the best hope we've got for
making it to state this year.
The Coach knows how to
get 110 percent out of
Homestar and the rest of
the team. He's the master
of all the big sports. You know
the ones I mean. The BIG ones. Coach also claims
to have been a chart topping rapper back in his
home country. We'll see about that.

Homestar Runner
{Homestar's torso is shown inside a blue star. He is inhaling, holding his breath, turning red and then blue and exhaling.}

This guy is everyone's best friend.
He is 2 to 3 times better than
the next best person in
the world. That's why he
wins everything and why
everyone loves him so much.
he can be pretty dumb, sure,
but it's just cause he's so
danged nice. His main man
Pom-Pom is always there
picking up the slack for him. Asked what his
favorite season is, Homestar responded, "Sure."
You can't beat that with a stick, can ya?

The King of Town
{The King of Town is stading in front of a silhouetted tower. He is falling asleep, waking up and his crown jumps a little.}

The King of Town is the elder
statesman of [[Free Country, USA|Free Country
USA]]. He doesn't really do
anything other than eat and
sleep. Come to think of it, he
doesn't even sleep. He only
eats. And talks about eating.
His reign as king dates back
to before any of you were
born, so don't worry about it.
Also, he employs The Poopsmith for reasons
no one is sure of, and he has a flock of sheep,
also for reasons no one is sure of. Weird old man.

Marzipan
{Marzipan is standing in front of several yellow flowers. She is holding a book, flipping a page and jumping a little.}

Marzipan is [[Homestar and Marzipan's Relationship|Homestar's
girlfriend]]. No wait, she's not.
Or she is, but don't tell her I
said that. Anyway, Marzi can
often be seen swimming with
the dolphins in the swampy
marsh or tending to her
substantial herd of goats. Other
hobbies include: BBQing, fencing,
songwriting and oil painting (many of her
paintings are laden with symbolic images). I think
Strong Bad put it best when he described her as
'a dirty hippie...without the dirt'.

Pom Pom
{Pom Pom is standing in front of a large blue spot. He is pointing at one direction, winks and repeat in on the other direction.}

Pom Pom is a pom, which
means he comes from the
Isle of Pom, where all [[Pom Pom's girls|27
of his girlfriends]] live. He's
Homestar's best friend for
sure and for true. His IQ is
off the charts as is his
attendance. His sharp wits
often get ol' Homestar out of some pretty tight
jams. I don't mean to call Homestar stupid or
nothin but sometimes his excessive niceness
can cloud his better judgement. And Pom Pom's
always there to turn that cloud upside down.

The Poopsmith
{The Poopsmith is standing in front of a silhouetted whatsit. He blows a bubblegum, and pops it.}

Here's what we know about the
Poopsmith currently:
He shovels crap for the King of
Town. And he smells really bad.
And that's it. Everything else
is a mystery. Like what are
those stains on his gloves?
And how come he smells so
bad? Homestar thinks he could be
over 1,000 years old. And Strong Bad says he has
crap for brains. But he's been calling everybody
'crap for brains' lately so I wouldn't give that one
too much thought.

Strong Bad
{Strong Bad is standing in front of a yellow explosion. He lifts his arms, looks up and begin to shake his arms while the background flashes a few times.}

"I cannot tell a lie. You are so
stupid." That's our Strong Bad,
always charmingly irreverent,
always a big jerk. He tries so
hard to be lowdown and
rotten but usually ends up
being hilarious and in last
place. With the help of his
brother Strong Mad and their little
yellow thing the Cheat, Strong Bad does everything
he can to ruin Homestar's day, despite their
one-time plans to get matching tattoos. All in all,
Strong Bad will spit in your food and ask for a bite.

Strong Mad
{Strong Mad's head is seen inside a large M. He is inhaling and exhailing while slowly falling asleep, drools on himself and wakes up again.}

If anyone is truly a big lug,
Strong Mad is. This guy is
dumb and strong, and that's
pretty much the definition of
a lug. One time, his brother
Strong Bad asked him to pick
up this one car. And so he did,
but it was the wrong car. See?
Dumb and strong. He'll do just
about anything Strong Bad
tells him to do. One time, he asked him to pick up
this one car... oh wait, already said that one. Strong
Mad and the Cheat are best friends. Hi-Five.

Strong Sad
{Strong Sad is standing in front of a big tear. He picks his eye and exhales.}

Strong Sad is a depressing lump.
A fat, gray, elephant-footed
depressing lump. But look at
how cute he is. Awww. His
brothers Strong Bad and
Mad disowned him a while
back because he refused to
help them cheat. Plus they
thought he was a total drag.
Pretty much everybody thinks
he's a total drag. But Homestar and the gang still
love him even though he tends to worry too much
and bring everybody down... and be a total drag.

Fun Facts
Explanations
*In Strong Bad's autograph, "RHTS" is an acronym popular in yearbooks of bygone decades, and stands for "Raise Hell This Summer", or "Rock Hard This Summer".

Trivia
*On Marzipan's page, she's reading a book called "The Chronology of Moths."
*Strong Bad's handwriting is in a different font than usual. Usually, it is in AhnbergHand.
*Homsar is not in the yearbook since he was not considered a main character at the time.
*On the Homestar Quiz, one of the questions is "where does Bubs attend night classes?", with the answer being "Disco Tech". When they updated the Characters page they didn't update the quiz, meaning the answer isn't linked to anywhere on the site.

Remarks
*Although the word "the" is considered part of The Cheat's name here, it is not capitalized like it usually is.
*The old pop-up menu appears on all the pages of the yearbook (at the bottom). All the buttons still work. Only these pages, A Jorb Well Done, Chinese Food Toons Menu, Broken Tandy Menu, and the Where's The Cheat? seem to still have it.
*The Cheat being from space isn't very supported in any cartoons.
**In the email flashback, Strong Bad believes The Cheat is from a giant egg filled with fish sticks.

Goofs
*Unless she's reading the book backwards, Marzipan turns the pages of her book in the wrong direction.

Inside References
*On Bubs's page, he is throwing around the can from "Kick the Can."

Fast Forward
*Strong Mad's picture and some of the text is what he turns into in virus.
*Homestar has a much easier time holding his breath here in the yearbook than he does in Halloween Fairstival, when Strong Bad pays him to stop breathing.
Sweet Cuppin' Cakes

Shadow El: WAS used in the D-Ween toon at the beginning.

Sweet Cuppin' Cakes is a strange and crazy cartoon that Strong Bad thought up. It originated in the Strong Bad Email crazy cartoon, in which "monkeydude" asks Strong Bad to make a crazy cartoon.

The first official episode, entitled Decemberween Sweet Cuppin' Cakes (or, as the toon itself calls it, "Cactus Coffee and the No Tell Motel"), arrived in Decemberween In July. The email theme park refers to a "Sweet Cuppin' Cakes Land" in Strong Bad's Mount RidesPlace USA that we do not get to see. Eh! Steve and The Wheelchair appeared with Cheerleader, The Ugly One, So and So, and Arrow'd Guy in an extra free sample of HomestarRunner.com PAY PLUS!.

A detail that makes the "Sweet Cuppin' Cakes" characters distinguishable from others is that all the characters (except the ones that are based on actual characters from the Homestar Runner world (i.e., Keyboard Strong Bad and Prime Time) have cartoony black outlines, whereas the "real" characters have outlines a darker shade of their natural color.

The theme song, which was not used in the email, appears in full on the CD Strong Bad Sings and Other Type Hits. The guitar introduction can be heard on Main Page 18.
