It is a dark day, Bubs is cooking weird burgers when suddenly the burgers go flying in the air and explode and get into the on-coming rain, while meanwhile it IS starting to rain when Strong Bad finds out he left his magazines outside in the rain and screams loud enough to get everybody outside wondering what happened? Everybody gets wet with the green burgers rain and while they are sleeping they get sent to an alternate universes and each alternate universe has another way to get out! If you want to find out what will happen you need to help get voices!!

'''Strong Sad''' is the youngest of [[the Brothers Strong]]. He stands somewhere between [[Strong Bad]] and [[Strong Mad]] in height, and has large, elephant-like feet he calls "[[soolnds]]", (in the past, poachers have apparently offered large sums of money to obtain Strong Sad's feet). His body is round and two shades of grey — a lighter grey from the waist up, a darker grey from the waist down. For some reason however, [[Coach Z]] thinks he is yellow.{{ref|1}} Strong Sad's body makes the sound of a inflated rubber ball when hit — and according to Strong Sad, it is hit often. In [[One Two, One Two]], it is hit in rhythm. His head is white and has an odd lump on the top, referred to as a "disturbing soft-serve flip" by Strong Bad in [[keep cool]] (a trait shared by [[Mr. Bland]]). It is unclear whether or not he has teeth. Strong Bad claims that he does not, but Strong Sad was seen brushing his teeth in [[narrator]]. He is usually very calm and soft-spoken, although he has become [[Hyperactive Strong Sad|hyperactive]] on occasion (at least once under the influence of [[Coffee|caffeine]]), and he has also temporarily (albeit ''involuntarily'') become a boisterous [[radio|radio DJ]] once or twice. The phrase "covered bridges" seems to be able to put him in some type of trance, as seen in "Fall Float Parade". He also has some sort of reaction to sunlight overexposure, causing him to become uncharacteristically happy,{{ref|2}} even if he did not enjoy it (at one point, he actually asks to be shot).

Strong Sad's main defining characteristic is his chronic depression — his high levels of intelligence and creativity are almost always overshadowed by it. His many interests include listening, books, listening to books, calligraphy, safety, being alone, arts, crafts, and arts [[b/w]] crafts. He has outstanding penmanship, often writing poetry, which he then recites at his own "poetry slams". Strong Sad is seen using both his right and left hands to write and play the guitar, implying that he is [[Left Handedness|ambidextrous]]. He has been seen practicing [[Wikipedia:T'ai Chi Ch'üan|T'ai Chi]]. Strong Sad also enjoys playing board games, and he seems to enjoy going to science-fiction and fantasy conventions, as seen in [[different town]] and [[TrogdorCon '97]]. He has an [[Strong Sad's iPod|iPod]], and he occasionally updates his [[Strong Sad's Lament|blog]] from time to time. Strong Sad's highly philosophical view on life has creeped out other characters more than once, most notably Strong Bad and [[Marzipan]]. Strong Sad may have a crush on Marzipan; he has occasionally lied to Marzipan just so he could spend time with her, as in [[Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 10.2]]. However, he might just be trying to make friends with anyone he can.

Strong Sad has a love-hate relationship with his brother Strong Bad. It appears that the two [[The Secrets That I Keep|got along quite well]] when they were younger, but nowadays, Strong Sad suffers almost constant [[Strong Bad and Strong Sad's Relationship#Strong Bad Hurting Strong Sad|abuse]] from Strong Bad. In particular, Strong Bad has quite a list of [[Nicknames#Strong Sad|names]] he has used to insult Strong Sad. Strong Sad has also been the subject of numerous practical jokes by Strong Bad, Strong Mad, and [[The Cheat]], ranging from being drilled a new navel by [[Lil' Strong Bad]] to being used as a [[The Stunt Double|stunt double]] for the [[Dangeresque (film series)|Dangeresque]] movies, to even having [[what I want|wildebeest pheromones]] washed into his laundry. In turn, Strong Sad holds a very low opinion of his brother and considers him to be a clueless weirdo. However, evidence from "The Secrets That I Keep" suggests that even though Strong Sad insults Strong Bad, he also looks up to him and misses the days when they got along. He seems to retain some degree of brotherly love toward Strong Bad: when the Tandy 400 exploded in the email [[gimmicks]], Strong Sad sincerely asked Strong Bad if he were all right, and wrote a letter wishing him well while Strong Bad was [[Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon|incarcerated]]. However, he also stated that his brother's absence caused him to feel far happier with himself than usual, and turned Strong Bad's computer room into his tai chi space. He was also eager to help Strong Bad with his 150th email in [[Sbemail 150?!?]], and even managed to provide the background music for Strong Bad's [[Strong Bad Email Intros|email intro]] in [[alternate universe]].

Strong Sad's troubled relationship with Strong Bad seems to have affected his social interaction habits with the rest of the community of [[Free Country, USA]]. He is generally reclusive and has only a few friends — his best friend appears to be [[Homsar]], and he plays Jenga with The Cheat on Tuesdays. Early in the site's history, [[Homestar Runner]] even counted Strong Sad as a friend, and still shows some signs of friendship towards him. He is often overlooked and ignored when he [[In Search of the Yello Dello New Version|has an idea]], and he is sometimes even [[Death#Strong Sad|believed to be dead]]. Despite all of this, he serves as a loyal officer in the [[Homestarmy]], temps at an unnamed computer company with Strong Bad and Homestar, and even has a [[Strong Sad Lookalike Contest]] held in his honor/insult each year.

Strong Sad seems to be the most rational of the characters, and often seems to react perplexedly to the others' cartoonish antics. He can often be found patiently correcting another's apparent mistakes, such as in [[TrogdorCon '97]] and [[technology]], or [[Happy T!|entirely uncomprehending]] of the nonsensical events around him. He was even featured as the sole "[[Bear Holding a Shark]] Skeptic" in [[myths & legends]].

There may be more to him than meets the eye, however. Occasionally Strong Sad has done things that are not in line with his usually calm temperament: He [[rough copy|threw snowballs]] at Strong Bad, being [[Strong Bad and Strong Sad's Relationship#Strong Sad's Revenge|physically violent]], and he had a long bout of maniacal laughter when it was revealed that he was behind the whole [[DNA Evidence]] event.

* [[Matt Chapman]] has said that Strong Sad is the most difficult character to voice due to how delicate he sounds. If Matt strains his voice too much before recording, he actually can't do Strong Sad at all (which led to Mike substituting for Strong Sad's one word in [[cheat talk]]).

I'm tempted to add back in the note that they're used to communicate with their own species. That is their natural purpose. It's probably not worth putting this on the main page, but it is very interesting to note that, by pure coincidence, there is actually a character in the Star Wars [[Wikipedia:Expanded Universe (Star Wars)|Expanded Univers]] (Books, etc.) whose name is [[Wikipedia:Talon Karrde|Talon]]. He actually becomes one of the major characters in a number of books. There are also a few names that are similar, but not the same as, Jendro, such as Jendorn, Jendon, and Endro, though the first was a very minor character and the second was a planet. The third, however, played a major part in the book "Planet Hoppers." To my knowlege, Talon and Endro have never appeared in the same book, though there are many (including Planet Hoppers, which is in fact an e-book... er, backstory?... written to go along with the Star Wars Roleplaying Game) that I have yet to read.

The reason it appears like it to you, most likely, is because the image is surrounded by white. Due to the fact that the logo is darker than most the others. As far as the logo goes, I like the idea, the logo itself isn't that simple though, or really all that clear. But it is a good general idea for a design focus. :I'll concur that this is a GREAT logo, everything I'd want in a logo if it was my company (simple, easily identifiable, very well connected to the subject represented, presenting a positive and professional image.) Yet, the branding issue is a major problem, there's unfortunately (at least in my mind) no real way to get around it, to make enough changes to avoid potential trademark infringement (or at least intellectual property infringement if it's not a trademarked logo) we'd be cheapening our brand to that of a cheap rip-off of an original (see lots of store brand sodas or "fake" watches and jewelry brands.) Also I stand by the fact that to move too far from what the logo we've got now is not just changing our logo, but rebranding our entire effort, which I do not see as being something we need right now. (If we had changed our mission or our way of operating or something else then yes, we should look at rebranding ourselves, but we haven't.) I'm not sure how much this crosses the boundaries of too much. But I thought it'd be kind of neat if the logo could switch back and forth between the original design for Homestar and the current. The 15 second is just so you don't have to wait around forever to see it. The 30 or 60 is the actual timer I think it should have. Most people would see it as it is. Just a regular logo, those who stick around for awhile might notice it changed. They'd be like, wait a second... wasn't that a diff. Homestar? It will loop back and forth every 30 or 60 seconds from the original design to the current. It's not a very big file size either. I made a brand new logo that I think works very well. Everyone's opinion is always different but I like it. For one thing, it incorporates a globe behind Homestar... we're like an encyclopedia to the world about Homestar Runner, many people using the Wiki are from all around the globe. This shows that. It uses the fictional globe in which Free Country, USA exists, so it also doubles as a symbol of the HR world. Homestar is standing there. Obviously. And it stands out from most of the other ideas, the website itself and is very different from the original logo. I made a few different colors for the background. A grey, blue and brown one. I tried other colors and trust me, they don't look as good.

The gradient is what helps give the globe a three dimensional feel. Things can have multiple shadows. Getting rid of the world's shadow would be a very difficult photoshop edit that would require a lot lot lot of time and probably not even look very good. I tried increasing the brightness... that didn't work. :I'll concur that this is a GREAT logo, everything I'd want in a logo if it was my company (simple, easily identifiable, very well connected to the subject represented, presenting a positive and professional image.) Yet, the branding issue is a major problem, there's unfortunately (at least in my mind) no real way to get around it, to make enough changes to avoid potential trademark infringement (or at least intellectual property infringement if it's not a trademarked logo) we'd be cheapening our brand to that of a cheap rip-off of an original (see lots of store brand sodas or "fake" watches and jewelry brands.) Also I stand by the fact that to move too far from what the logo we've got now is not just changing our logo, but rebranding our entire effort, which I do not see as being something we need right now. (If we had changed our mission or our way of operating or something else then yes, we should look at rebranding ourselves, but we haven't.) The 15 second is just so you don't have to wait around forever to see it. The 30 or 60 is the actual timer I think it should have. Most people would see it as it is. Just a regular logo, those who stick around for awhile might notice it changed. They'd be like, wait a second... wasn't that a diff. Homestar? It will loop back and forth every 30 or 60 seconds from the original design to the current. It's not a very big file size either. I made a brand new logo that I think works very well. Everyone's opinion is always different but I like it. For one thing, it incorporates a globe behind Homestar... we're like an encyclopedia to the world about Homestar Runner, many people using the Wiki are from all around the globe. This shows that. It uses the fictional globe in which Free Country, USA exists, so it also doubles as a symbol of the HR world. Homestar is standing there. Obviously. And it stands out from most of the other ideas, the website itself and is very different from the original logo. I made a few different colors for the background. A grey, blue and brown one. I tried other colors and trust me, they don't look as good.

::::::Nah, I think the gradient around the globe is necessary. It makes it look nicer than without. I tried it without and I didn't think it looked very good. The gradient is what helps give the globe a three dimensional feel. Things can have multiple shadows. Getting rid of the world's shadow would be a very difficult photoshop edit that would require a lot lot lot of time and probably not even look very good. I tried increasing the brightness... that didn't work. You will notice 4 times where we've used the official h*r logo. #'s 2, 3, and 4 can be argued as legit because they do link the official site, but #1 (the icon at the top which also appears in your bookmarks) doesn't have anything to do with the official but our site.
