Trogdor

SpamHumbug:

{{aboutcharacter}} {{forsong|Trogdor (song)}} {{forgame|TROGDOR!}} {{for|karaoke video|Trogdor (karaoke)}}

[[Image:A dragon.PNG|thumb|200px|"And the Trogdor comes in the NIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!!!!"]]
'''Trogdor the Burninator''' is an S-shaped wingaling dragon with a beefy arm that originated in the email [[dragon]] whose sole purpose in life is to burninate the countryside, peasants, and thatched-roof cottages of [[Peasantry]]. Trogdor sprung from the wild imagination of [[Strong Bad]] when he was asked to show his "skills of an artist".

In the email where he was first created, after Strong Bad finishes showing off his artistic skills, there is a heavy metal song about Trogdor with a music video drawn in pencil. According the the dragon's [[dragon#Commentary Transcript|commentary]], there wasn't supposed to even be a song, but after [[Matt Chapman|Matt]] started to sing one off the top of his head, [[The Brothers Chaps]] knew they had to put it in the email. Later, when [[Strong Bad Sings and Other Type Hits]] was released, an extended [[Trogdor (song)|version]] was made with a reference to [[guitar]] that was later referenced in the [[Peasant's Quest Movie Trailer]]. The song made [[Trogdor (karaoke)|its]] way to [[KaraokeFun]] where [[Homestar Runner]] got a score of 84 in it.

In the [[Stand up arcade games|arcade]] game called [[TROGDOR!]], found in [[Strong Bad's Basement]], the player controls the anti-hero Trogdor. The goal of this game is to squish enough peasants required to achive burnination and at the same time avoid [[The Red and Blue Knights]] and the siamese archers.

In the game [[Peasant's Quest]], killing the Burninator to get revenge is [[Rather Dashing]]'s quest. After Trogdor burninated his thatched-roof cottage and against the advice of the [[King of Peasantry]], he journeys to the Trog-Cave just to get burninated by the dragon like many before him. In this game, Trogdor's voice is an old speech synthesizer called the [[Wikipedia:Software Automatic Mouth|Software Automatic Mouth]], or S.A.M.

Trogdor has become more popular then [[The Brothers Chaps]] have ever thought. According to the [[Giant Magazine Interview]], the Trogdor shirt sold in the [[Store|store]] is the best selling item there, even more than [[strongbad_email.exe]]. Fans even dress up as the character as seen in [[Fan Costume Commentary]] and [[More Fan Costumes]], and even created some interesting [[Weekly Fanstuff|fanstuff]].

An abandoned [[20X6]] version of Trogdor called [[Trogador]] was revealed at the [[NYU Talk - 1 Mar 2005|NYU Talk]].
#Draw an S.
#Draw a more different S.
#Close it up real good at the top for his head.
#Using consummate V's, give him teeth, spinities, and angry eyebrows.
#You can add smoke or fire.
#Add some wings.
#Put one of those beefy arms for good measure.
#Write his name ''TROGDOR the BURNiNATOR''.
#Check out all his majesty.

[[Image:sucks trogdor.png|thumb|right|220px|Two beefy arms, but still no go]]
'''The S is for Sucks''' is the first attempt at drawing a dragon [[Strong Bad]] made in the [[Strong Bad Email|email]] "[[dragon]]." It was quickly rejected by Strong Bad, saying that it doesn't look natural. Its arms and legs could be styled after the action figures seen in the email [[action figure]], or they could be based on [[Strong Man]]'s arms. The more popular [[Trogdor]] retains a single beefy arm on the left and the shape of the body.
Bear Holding a Shark

SpamHumbug:

[[Image:bearholdingshark.png|thumb|Bear holding shark.]]

The '''Bear-Shark''' is a cardboard cut-out of a bear holding a shark, lurking [[Behind the Fence|behind the fence]] of [[Strongbadia]]. It is Strongbadia's "security countermethod", as [[Strong Bad]] puts it. It scares [[The Cheat]] often, as when The Cheat touches the [[Tire]], not only does he get an electric shock, but the Bear-Shark pops up. For reasons that are never really looked into, The Cheat seems to have a phobia of bears holding sharks. The Bear-Shark also plays the part of "headhunters" on Strong Bad's [[Strong Bad's Mount RidesPlace USA#Riverquest Safariventure|Riverquest Safariventure]]. It is scared off by firing a starting pistol in its general direction twice.

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{singing}'' Everybody loves this, everybody needs this, it's time for funny stuff. ''{reading, in a Teen Girl Squad voice}'' Dear strong bad, you are the coolest... ''{Strong Bad stops reading and clears his throat.}'' Oh! Excuse me.

''{reading}''

<blockquote class="email">Dear strong bad,<br />
you are the coolest, any way onto<br />
buisness. i think that you should<br />
make your own theme park.<br />
<br />
crapfully crap,<br />
Rafael FL.</blockquote>

''{Strong Bad pronounces "buisness" just as it is spelled, says "(sigh) Sincerely yours" instead of "crapfully crap," and "football league" instead of "FL."}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' Well, Rafi, being the distinguished buisnessman ''{continues with the misspelling/pronunciation used earlier}'' that I am, I've had a theme park in development for quite some time now. Almost as long as I've been growin' this mustache.

''{A 10,000x magnification of Strong Bad's upper lip appears, showing a growth of one hair.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' Anyways, it'd be called

''{Cut to view of a theme park by the Stop Sign and Cinder Block.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' Strong Bad's Mount RIDESPLACE! USA

''{As this is said, the appropriate words flash on the screen above the view of the theme park.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' And it will have more rides than you or your grandmother can handle.

''{As this is said, the words "More Rides Than You Or Your Grandmother Can Handle!*" appear along with a "*please do not bring your grandmother" disclaimer on the bottom.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' Of course, our flagship rollercoaster would be

''{Cut to view of the rollercoaster, which is perfectly circular and spins continually without stopping. The Trogdor arcade game music is playing in the background}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' The Bowels of Trogdor!! ''{Pan out to see that The King of Town is riding the rollercoaster and screaming.}'' Which would like whip you around and around until you either throw up or catch fire somehow. ''{The King of Town catches fire somehow.}''

'''THE KING OF TOWN:''' Hooieooieooieooieooieooieooieooie!

''{Cut to Strong Bad and The Cheat and the entrance to the ride. A Trogdor sign is there that says "Peasants must be as tall as my beefy arm to ride this ride." The Cheat is clearly not tall enough.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Sorry, little guy, ''{The Cheat starts to stand on tip-toes.}'' I can't do nothing for you. ''{The Cheat puts on a top hat and starts to stand on tip-toes again.}'' Maybe you better head over to Sweet Cuppin' Cakes Land instead.

'''THE CHEAT:''' ''{He makes a thoroughly disappointed noise.}''

''{Cut to Strong Sad standing on a stage.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' And every hour, at the main stage, there'd be a performance of The Strong Sad Gets Decked Repeatedly Stunt Spook-tacular.

''{A banner lowers behind Strong Sad that says "The Strong Sad Gets Decked Repeatedly Stunt SPOOK-tacular!!" Strong Sad is wearing a witch's hat standing patiently. Strong Mad comes from stage right to flying tackle Strong Sad.}''

'''STRONG MAD:''' MAUHHH!

'''STRONG SAD:''' Oh!

''{Strong Sad climbs back up on the stage again standing patiently. Strong Mad comes from stage left this time to flying tackle Strong Sad again.}''

'''STRONG MAD:''' MAUHHH!

'''STRONG SAD:''' Oh!

''{Cut to Strong Bad behind a table with a layout of the theme park on it.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' To make sure you don't have any money left when you leave, ''{The words "not to scale" appear with an arrow pointing at the layout.}'' there'd be more games than you or your grand''father'' could handle.

''{Cut to Bubs working the "Throw Game."}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' You know, the ones where you throw hoops or rings or baseballs at different stuff and try to win cheap generic stuffed animal versions of ten-year-old cartoons.

''{During this voice over, Pom Pom plays the "Throw Game" while Bubs looks on. Pom Pom successfully gets all three rings that he tosses around the "[[Cold One|Xtra Cold One]]" bottle. Strong Bad's arm appears, holding up a cheap stuffed animal.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Like this Bubs with a horn.

'''BUBS:''' No, no, no. You gotta get those rings ''inside'' the bottle.

'''POM POM:''' ''{He makes aggravated bubble noises.}''

''{Pom Pom picks up a baseball and throws it at the bottle in frustration. Cut back to Strong Bad behind the layout of the park.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' No theme park would be complete without a bunch of costumed mascots running around antic-ing... ''{scratches head}'' antique-ing... Whatever.

''{Cut to view of an area behind some fencing. The King of Town still rides "The Bowels of Trogdor!!" in the distance.}''

'''THE KING OF TOWN:''' ''(''distant'')'' Hooieooieooieooie!

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' You know, there'd be one of the Stop Sign,

''{Coach Z appears wearing a costume that has a cartoonish looking Stop Sign design}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' call him "Stoppy", Stoppy the Sign, and then there'd be the tire...

''{Homestar appears wearing a costume that has a very cartoonish-looking Tire design.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' call him "Poppy the Tire"... And who could forget "General Tso's Chicken"?

''{A carton of what could only be General Tso's Chicken falls from the sky. It has "Ryan S." written on the side. Homsar's feet appear beneath it.}''

'''HOMESTAR:''' Hey, Stoppy, is your suit chafing you like crazy?

'''COACH Z:''' Well, to tell ya da truth dere Poppy, I've always enjoyed a good chafe.

'''HOMSAR:''' AaAaAaAaA! It's time for tasteball.

'''HOMESTAR:''' Oh, crap! It's tasteball already?

''{Cut to Strong Bad back at the Compy.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' But yeah, it's a pretty unrealistic vision. I'm gonna have to start robbing WAY more hot actresses if I ever hope to make that dream a reality. But for now, I'll settle for giving tours on The Strong Badian Riverquest Safariventure.

''{He gets up. Cut to Strong Bad standing in a box in Strongbadia. He holds some sort of microphone.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{Strong Bad makes a microphone click noise and speaks in a theme park tour guide-styled monotone voice}'' Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen my name is Strong Bad and welcome to The Strong Badian Riverquest Safariventure. ''{Strong Bad makes a click noise again.}''

''{Cut to wide view of Strong Bad standing in a box labeled "riverquest safariventure." Homestar sits in front of him in the box. To the left is a running hose. The water from the hose forms a puddle around the box.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{click}'' Please keep your arms legs and valuables inside the vehicle at all times and get ready to experience the fury of: The Strong Badian Riverboat Superfun...ride. ''{Strong Bad inches closer to Homestar as he says this, while Homestar backs away.}'' ''{click}''

''{[[The Paper]] comes down. About five seconds later, it zooms in on Strong Bad and Homestar and the tour continues.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{click}'' And first up on our tour if you look to your right ''{Homestar looks to his right}'' experience the fury of: ''{cut to wider view}'' a big rock is going to fall on uuuus. ''{An obviously fake rock pops up behind the fence, mounted on a stick.}''

'''HOMESTAR:''' Ooooh. ''{The rock goes back down behind the fence.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' That was a close call, I hope everyone is okaaaay.

'''HOMESTAR:''' I'm not OK&mdash;

'''STRONG BAD:''' Shut up. ''{click}''

''{Cut to closeup of Strong Bad.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{click}'' And if you look up the river here comes another one of our tour guides his name is The Cheat ''{Cut to wide view again. The Cheat walks by in his own box, which is labeled "R.Q. 2".}'' everybody say "Hi, The Cheeeeat."

'''HOMESTAR:''' Hide and seeeeek.

''{Some drum sounds can be heard.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{click}'' Oh, what's that I hear is it the sound of island drums? Oh no, it's headhunteeerrrs. ''{The cardboard cutout of a bear holding a shark, posing as a "headhunter," pops up from behind the fence.}'' ''{click}'' Everyone stay in the boat, I'll take care of thiiis. ''{click}''

''{Strong Bad pulls out a flare gun, and turns his head away as he fires up into the air twice. The cutout goes back down behind the fence.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{click}'' Looks like we scared those headhunters. Let's hope they don't come baaack. ''{click}''

''{Cut to closeup of Strong Bad again.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{click}'' Well folks we've made it back safely did everyone have a good time?

'''HOMESTAR:''' Not really.

''{Strong Bad continues to talk while Homestar answers.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Goooood. Please leave your valuables under your seat and exit to your riiiight. ''{click}''

''{Cut to wide view again.}''

'''HOMESTAR:''' Strong Bad, I gotta level with ya. That might have been the worst three thousand dollars I ever spent.

''{The Paper comes down again. After another pause, Strong Bad speaks again.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{click}'' Don't forget to experience the fury of: our gift shooop. ''{Once again, Strong Bad moves closer to Homestar as he says his while Homestar backs away.}'' ''{click}''
* Click on the second Bubs doll in full sight in the "Throw Game" stand to see a almost 270 degree spin of a real Bubs plushie, [[Shark-Tooth Bubs]].

== Fun Facts ==
===Trivia===
*The paper on Strong Bad's desk is labeled "plans for stuff."
*The box in the throw game appears to be labeled "BOX FOR THROW GAME," in all capital letters.

===Remarks===
*Strong Bad pushes his thumb far out of his boxing glove when he sends the Cheat to Sweet Cuppin' Cakes land. This wouldn't usually be possible with a real boxing glove.
**He does this in [[ghosts]] as well.
*In the email "[[2 years]]," it is implied that the Stop Sign is female, yet in this email, "Stoppy" is referred to with male pronouns. Of course, this may have been due to a lack of any female workers willing to play the part of Stoppy.
*This is the first email where [[The Paper]] has come down twice.

===Goofs===
*The Bowels of Trogdor is not visible in the panoramic view of the park.
*When Pom Pom hits the bottle with the ball, a crashing sound is heard yet it doesn't break. Also, the crashing sound is played right after Pom Pom throws the ball, but before it reaches the bottle.
*At the end of the Strong Bad's Riverquest Safariventure, the [[Stop Sign|stop sign]] is not there. It disappeared sometime between the pause the first time the paper came down, and the fake boulder.

===Glitches===
*When the Strong Bad Riverquest Safariventure is over, the water stops flowing from the hose.

===Inside References===
*This is the first time since [[vacation]] (email 40) that Strong Bad has received an email with a [[Crapfully Yours]]-style signature.
*The "headhunter" is the [[Bear-Shark]] from [[date]].
*Pom Pom throws rings around an "Xtra Cold One," first seen in [[Cheat Commandos (toon)|Cheat Commandos]].
*The music played during Strong Sad's "Stunt Spooktacular" is the same music that was used in both [[Homestarloween Party]] and [[The House that Gave Sucky Treats]].
*The music that plays when Strong Bad is describing the "Bowels of Trogdor" rollercoaster is from the game [[TROGDOR!]].
*"Ryan S." on the box of General Tso's chicken is a reference to [[Ryan Sterritt]], a friend of [[The Brothers Chaps]], who helps them with the website and the [[strongbad_email.exe]] DVD.
*This is another reference to Homestar's [[Best/Worst_X_bucks_I_ever_spent|best/worst money spent]].

===Real-World References===
*The Strong Badian Riverquest Safariventure is reminiscent of the [[Wikipedia:Jungle Cruise|Jungle Cruise]] found in [[Wikipedia:Walt_Disney_Parks_and_Resorts|Disney theme parks]]. Strong Bad does not breathe or show any expression and this monotone delivery is reminiscent of Jungle Cruise tour guides who give the same tour over and over again. The shooting of a warning shot (in this case a starter's pistol) to scare off the [[Bear-Shark|bear and shark]] "headhunters" is directly from the tour guide script. Most of Strong Bad's speech correlates to the tour.
*Poppy the Tire looks very similar to [http://www.bcdb.com/bcdb/cartoon.cgi?film=14550&m=s Peter Puck], a cartoon hockey puck from a 1973 Hanna-Barbera Cartoon.

===Commentary Transcript===
('''Commentary by:''' [[Mike Chapman]], [[Matt Chapman]])

'''MIKE:''' ''{singing}'' Theme paaaaark!

'''MATT:''' That's a good one.

'''MIKE:''' That's my theme park... theme song.

'''MATT:''' I like that. Oh, Mike, Strong Bad's talking in the wrong voice.

'''MIKE:''' He's talking like one of the Teen Girl Squads.

'''MATT:''' Which one do you think it was?

'''MIKE:''' The original Teen Girl Squad. Uh, I think that was... So and So? Yeah? Nah, it was either The Ug... I think it was The Ugly One. All right, let's talk about something else.

'''MATT:''' Okay. I like "buisness."

'''MIKE:''' Buisness. Didn't we record, um, 'cuz there's a little Easter egg with him saying "Why you're all up on my buisness."

'''MATT:''' Oh, yeah.

'''MIKE:''' Teen Girl Squad.

'''MATT:''' We never put it out. We were gonna make it the Quote of the&mdash; Let's do that this week, make it the Quote of the Week.

'''MIKE:''' Maybe, it'll seem like we're talking about something really old when they hear this on the DVD.

'''MATT:''' Perhaps.

'''MIKE:''' But we're ''really'' talking about the future.

''{pause}''

'''MATT:''' So, at least, I feel like we should start over on this commentary already.

'''MIKE:''' That's... let's keep going.

'''MATT:''' All right.

'''MIKE:''' Let's plug on through.

'''MATT:''' We'll give it a shot.

''{Pause until Strong Bad mentions "Sweet Cuppin' Cakes Land"}''

'''MATT:''' I'd like to see what Sweet Cuppin' Cakes Land looks like.

'''MIKE:''' Yeah, I think maybe originally that was gonna be in the email; I think we talked about showing, you know, like the teacups that were the spinning-around teacups that were Eh! Steves or something.

'''MATT:''' Yeah. But then the email would be nine minutes long.

'''MIKE:''' Yeah, it was really long already. So, back in the background there is a Shark-Tooth Bubs, um, which is a real plush, plush doll that a factory in China made for us. It was a prototype. They misinterpreted Bubs's eyes and teeth, and... pretty much everything!

'''MATT:''' As his fangs.

'''MIKE:''' ''{laughing}'' His fangs.

'''MATT:''' And a horn.

'''MIKE:''' Yeah.

'''MATT:''' I like that the box there, that he just that knocked over on, says "Box for Throw Game" stenciled on the side of it. It's mass-produced somewhere and shipped to Mt. Ridesplace... for that sole purpose. ''{lets Coach Z as Stoppy appear}'' Stoppy has some things in his cheeks, maybe.

'''MIKE:''' Yeah, he's got some nuts, maybe he's saving up acorns for the winter.

'''MATT:''' ''{at Homsar as General Tso's Chicken}'' Now ''that's'' a reference to our friend Ryan Sterritt, who has authored this very DVD you're watching.

'''MIKE:''' He's sitting in the room right next to us. Unbeknownst to him, we're talking about him.

'''MATT:''' Yeah, let's go in... let's throw stuff at him next time we see him.

'''MIKE:''' We should. I like to throw stuff at Ryan.

''{pause}''

'''MATT:''' What should we talk about on this part?

'''MIKE:''' Oh, this is a good... this is, this is my favorite part.

'''MATT:''' Yeah, we... this should have been two emails, I feel like.

'''MIKE:''' Yeah, 'cuz it was done up to this point, and then there's another ten minutes.

'''MATT:''' So there's a particular visit, uh, to Busch Gardens I took, and I believe there's a roller-coaster called The Scorpion, where&mdash; that I'm basing this, I mean, definitely, it's obviously based on...

'''MIKE:''' No! You can't say it!

'''MATT:''' What?

'''MIKE:''' Sorry. I was just saying that my name was ''{indecipherable}'' and that I was The Scorpion... Sorry.

'''MATT:''' Does this keep going? Yeah, we can keep talking.

'''MIKE:''' Is this a waiting egg?

'''MATT:''' Yeah, it's just gonna start playing again I think, isn't it? ''{The email continues after The Paper comes down}'' Yeah, see?

'''MIKE:''' Yeah, okay, I couldn't remember how it worked on the DVD...

'''MATT:''' You just wait.

'''MIKE:''' Yeah, okay.

'''MATT:''' ''{of the fake rock}'' I like, uh, the damage, obviously, when I see that.

'''MIKE:''' Yeah, it's fiberglass.

'''MATT:''' Mm-hmm. Chicken wire. Uh, anyways, uh I went... Mike and I went...

'''MIKE:''' Oh, yeah, you were at Busch Gardens!

'''MATT:''' Yeah! And I just remember that guy being particularly unenthusiastic about us experiencing the fury of The Scorpion. ''{Mike laughs}'' It was wonderfully scripted.

'''MIKE:''' So was it just a roller coaster, or was that a ride...

'''MATT:''' No, it was just a roller coaster.

'''MATT:''' And so they have the the guy just before it starts...<br>
'''MIKE:''' ''{simultaneously}'' Okay, yeah, at the beginning, right.

'''MATT:''' You see, we were just talking over each other again.

'''MIKE:''' We can talk at the same time.

'''MATT:''' I know, but it's probably hard for people to understand what we're saying. <!-- Ain't that the truth. --> Go! Go! I take! I take! Hi Lois! Raise your arms watching these, exit to your right, please! They did that at Six Flags all the time, I remember.

'''MIKE:''' Six Flags over Georgia, that is.

''{The Paper comes down in the email for the second time.}''

'''MATT:''' Wait for it, wait for it...

'''MIKE:''' Is it still going?

'''MATT:''' Yeah, hang on! ''{pause for the end}'' Now it's done.

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{singing}'' Everybody loves this, everybody needs this, it's time for funny stuff. ''{reading, in a Teen Girl Squad voice}'' Dear strong bad, you are the coolest... ''{Strong Bad stops reading and clears his throat.}'' Oh! Excuse me.

''{reading}''

<blockquote class="email">Dear strong bad,<br />
you are the coolest, any way onto<br />
buisness. i think that you should<br />
make your own theme park.<br />
<br />
crapfully crap,<br />

'''HOMESTAR:''' Hide and seeeeek.

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{click}'' Looks like we scared those headhunters. Let's hope they don't come baaack. ''{click}''

== Easter Eggs ==

* Click on "buisness" after Strong Bad says it in the first part of the email to see a picture of The Ugly One and Cheerleader.
** '''CHEERLEADER:''' ''{Her shirt reads "kiss boys."}'' The Ugly One, why you always gotta be all up in my bweez-NASS? ''{Cheerleader looks angry as The Ugly One looks sad.}''

* Click on "Rafi" to see a mock NFL patch.

* Click on "Mount" in "Mount Ridesplace USA" after Strong Bad says "USA" to see [[Monkey D]]'s season pass.
<pre>Strong Bad's Mount Ridesplace USA
Season Pass
Name: Monkey D
Has: Fun
Valid thru 9/04
(signed) Monkey D</pre>

* Click on the second Bubs doll in full sight in the "Throw Game" stand to see a almost 270 degree spin of a real Bubs plushie, [[Shark-Tooth Bubs]].

== Fun Facts ==
===Trivia===
*The paper on Strong Bad's desk is labeled "plans for stuff."
*The box in the throw game appears to be labeled "BOX FOR THROW GAME," in all capital letters.

===Remarks===

===Goofs===

===Glitches===
*When the Strong Bad Riverquest Safariventure is over, the water stops flowing from the hose.

===Inside References===

===Real-World References===

===Commentary Transcript===

<br />
crapfully crap,<br />

'''HOMESTAR:''' I'm not OK&mdash;

== Easter Eggs ==

== Fun Facts ==
===Trivia===
*The paper on Strong Bad's desk is labeled "plans for stuff."
*The box in the throw game appears to be labeled "BOX FOR THROW GAME," in all capital letters.

===Remarks===

===Goofs===

===Glitches===
*When the Strong Bad Riverquest Safariventure is over, the water stops flowing from the hose.

===Inside References===
*This is the first time since [[vacation]] (email 40) that Strong Bad has received an email with a [[Crapfully Yours]]-style signature.
*The "headhunter" is the [[bearshark]] from [[date]].

===Real-World References===

===Commentary Transcript===

[[Image:stopsign.png|thumb|The Sign doin' what she does best]]

The '''Stop Sign''' proclaims the population of [[Strongbadia]] to all who look at it. She is currently held up by the [[Cinderblock]], but according to the [[Strong Bad Email]] "[[2 years]]," the two would go their separate ways by September 2005. So far, this has not come to pass.

As revealed in the Strong Bad Email [[monument]], a grand statue of [[Strong Bad]] was to be constructed with the Stop Sign and Cinderblock as part of the right foot. In the email, Strong Bad says, "It's got all the rightness of a foot, without all the footdom of a right."

Stoppy the Sign is one of the [[Mount RidesPlace USA Mascots]].

'''Current Population''': [[Tire]]

'''Predicted Population in September of 2005''': Tire, a Bundt Cake Pan, and [[Coach Z]]

== Transcript ==
''{A leaf logo appears with the words "The 4Tst Annual Fall Float Parade".}''

'''ANNOUNCER:''' We now return to the firty-tirst annual fall float parade.

''{Cut to Coach Z and Marzipan wearing scarves and ear muffs. Marzipan is holding a mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows, and is glaring at Coach Z.}''

'''COACH Z:''' Okay, den, welcome back. First, please allow me to apologize to my co-host, here, for any inapprapriate comments I may have made while we was at commercial.

'''MARZIPAN:''' ''{nearly under her breath}'' That's two strikes, Coach Z.

'''COACH Z:''' Yes, yes, what fun!

'''MARZIPAN:''' ''{suddenly cheerful}'' So, next up is good old Bubs.

'''COACH Z:''' Yes, good old my favorite type o' guy who I'm just all the time hangin' around and doin' stuff with, Bubs!

''{Cut to Bubs on a giant float with the words "COACH Z, YOU JERK" written on it, next to a model of Coach Z's head with a [[Wikipedia:No symbol|no symbol]] over it. There is a banner hanging on the float that reads, "Happy Thanksgiving!!"}''

'''BUBS:''' ''{through a megaphone}'' Coach Z, you jerk!

'''MARZIPAN:''' ''{surprised}'' Ohhh.

'''BUBS:''' Coach Z, you jerk!

'''COACH Z:''' Oh, I see then...

'''BUBS:''' Coach Z&mdash;

'''COACH Z:''' That's very&mdash;

'''BUBS:''' ''{with more emphasis than before}'' &mdash;you jerk!

'''COACH Z:''' &mdash;overt.

''{Cut to a close-up of a giant balloon in the likeness of Pom Pom.}''

'''COACH Z:''' Oh, now here's somethin' that doesn't appear to be makin' fun of me. It's the Pam Pam b'loon!

'''MARZIPAN:''' That's "Pom Pom balloon" for those of you who don't speak Coach Z. Always a hit with the ladies, that Pom Pom.

''{Cut to a wide-shot with the Pom Pom balloon being led offscreen by Pom Pom. A pair of fez-wearing Homsars are coming in behind the balloon driving miniature red cars.}''

'''MARZIPAN:''' And never a hit with anyone, it's Homsar! Oh, and there's another Homsar.

'''HOMSARS:''' ''{both of them in unison}'' Let's sing a song of Pennzoil!

''{A new float enters the frame behind the two Homsars. This float has a big pile of sweatshirts in the center, a giant shooting star on the front, and a bee suspended by a giant spring on the back. "SWE ATSHIRTS" is printed on the base of the float. Homestar Runner is buried in the pile of sweatshirts with only his head visible.}''

'''COACH Z:''' Oh, now this is just adorable. Homestar Runner's sweatshirt float.

'''MARZIPAN:''' ''{referring to the noticeable space in the float's wording}'' Looks more like a "swee-atshirt" float to me.

'''COACH Z:''' You say tomater, I zader matermorts. <!--don't change this. see the quote of the week for the correct spelling-->

''{Cut to a close-up of Homestar buried in the pile of sweatshirts.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Marzipan, help! I woke up in this pile of swee-atshirts and I don't know how to stop it! I'm s'posed to be watching Bubs' concession stand while he's in some ridiculous parade! ''{looks down}'' And I'm pretty sure a rat just bit my knee.

'''MARZIPAN:''' Oh, that's great, sweetie. Say hi to that bee for me.

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{annoyed}'' Hi, bee.

''{Cut back to the wide shot. Strong Mad walks into the frame carrying Bubs' Concession Stand, which has clearly been ripped out of the ground recently, as there are missing bricks and bits of sod still hanging from the bottom.}''

'''COACH Z:''' Well, it looks like Bubs has come to his senses and entered a proper float in the parade. 'Attaboy, Bubs!

'''MARZIPAN:''' I'm pretty sure that's just Strong Mad absconding with Bubs' Concession Stand.

'''COACH Z:''' Oh. Serves him right, then.

''{Cut back to Coach Z and Marzipan.}''

'''COACH Z:''' Oh, and here comes one of my favorites: the K.O.T.H.S. Junior Varsity Marching Band!

''{Cut back to the parade. The band enters, made up of The King of Town waving The Poopsmith's shovel like a drum major's mace, The Poopsmith playing cymbals, The Hornblower blowing his horn, and the Knight playing a bass drum. The band comes to a halt. Cut to a close up of The King of Town.}''

'''THE KING OF TOWN:''' A-break it down for me, fell-as!

''{Cut to a wide shot of the band again. They face the camera and resume playing, now in a hip-hop beat.}''

'''COACH Z:''' Oh, yeah! I'm feeling this! ''{begins rapping}'' One two, one two, keep it "flond"! Listen to me cause Coach Z's, he's got it goin' on!

''{Cut to a close-up of Coach Z as he continues rapping.}''

'''COACH Z:''' I'm a pretty nice guy with fairly good teeth! C'mon, watch me&mdash;

'''MARZIPAN:''' ''{breaking into the frame}'' No more free-styling. It's really annoying.

''{Cut back to the parade route. A new float enters. Strong Bad is on the float standing between two snowmen and beating them with nunchaku. The base of the float, which appears to be a mattress on a wagon, reads: "Celebrating 04 Glorious Seconds of Nunchucking Snowmen." The "04" is a digital sign that counts up as the scene continues.}''

'''COACH Z:''' Ah, and here's Strong Bad's annual not-even-remotely-fall-related float.

'''MARZIPAN:''' Is it just me, or does one of those snowmen look suspiciously like Strong Sad?

'''COACH Z:''' Nah, Strong Sad's yellow.

''{Cut to a close-up of Strong Bad and the snowman on the left, who is in fact Strong Sad. He spits out the carrot that had been in his mouth.}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' Ptooey! Strong Bad, I thought you said our float was going to be "Celebrating Our Nation's Covered Bridges!"

'''STRONG BAD:''' No, I said our float was going to be "Sticking-You-in-a-Fake-Snowman-and-Beating-You-Senseless-With-Nunchucks... Covered Bridges."

'''STRONG SAD:''' Well, how on earth did I misunderstand all that?

'''STRONG BAD:''' I don't know, man. You hear the words "covered bridges" and you just go into a trance.

'''STRONG SAD:''' ''{eyes widen as he goes into a trance}'' Ohhh, covered bridges...

''{Strong Sad starts moaning, but snaps out of it when Strong Bad resumes beating him with the nunchaku. A looming shadow crawls across the scene and ominous music plays.}''

'''MARZIPAN:''' And, as always...

''{Cut to a close-up of a giant balloon in the shape of [[Marshie]].}''

'''MARZIPAN:''' ...bringing up the rear, it's the Marshie balloon!

'''COACH Z:''' Man, that thing has got to frighten some children!

'''MARZIPAN:''' Is anyone guiding that balloon?

''{Ominous music plays again as the camera pans down and The Cheat can be seen hanging from one of the balloon ropes, clearly not in control of the balloon. Cut to a wide shot of the platform Coach Z and Marzipan are standing on.}''

'''MARZIPAN:''' Run for your lives!

''{The Marshie balloon collides with the platform, knocking Coach Z and Marzipan off.}''

'''COACH Z:''' Argh! I regret everything!

''{The television signal cuts out as the platform collapses. It is quickly replaced by a technical difficulty screen with a turkey pulling a plug. The caption at the top reads "Pardon our problems..." and "The End" appears at the bottom.}''

== Easter Eggs ==
*Click the top left question mark at the end to see what happened to Bubs' Concession Stand.
:''{Strong Mad and Strong Bad are in what seems to be their laundry room, as there's a dryer nearby. Strong Mad is still holding the concession stand.}''
:'''STRONG MAD:''' CAN I KEEP IT?
:'''STRONG BAD:''' No, you can't keep it. Now go put that thing back.
:'''STRONG MAD:''' IT FOLLOWED ME HOME!!!
:'''STRONG BAD:''' Uh, yeah. ''That's'' not true.

*Click the top plug outlet at the end to see an additional scene with Homestar Runner.
:''{Homestar is standing in what seems to be the Field.}''
:'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Homestar Runner, you have truly outdone yourself!
:''{Pan out to reveal Homestar in a box labeled "blue face man's store" over the removed Bubs' Concession Stand's foundation.}''
:'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Old Mr. Bubs will never know the difference!

== Fun Facts ==

===Explanations===
* Marzipan requested that Homestar say hi to the bee for her because she is very [[Sensitive To Bees|sensitive to bees]].
* K.O.T.H.S. stands for "King of Town High School". Most American high schools have marching bands.
* A [[Wikipedia:Covered bridge|covered bridge]] is a bridge with enclosed sides and a roof, usually made of wood. These single-lane bridges are found throughout rural areas of the Northeastern and Midwestern United States.

===Trivia===
*Due to a discrepancy between the names of the HTML file and the Flash file, this toon didn't load properly when it was first released. A corrected version of the HTML file became available about two hours later.

===Remarks===
*Marzipan's smile reverts to [[Marzipan Evolution|an earlier form]] temporarily while Coach Z is announcing the K.O.T.H.S. Marching Band.
*Although the Hornblower seems to be playing when the K.O.T.H.S. Marching Band "breaks it down", there is no sound of the horn.
*While the foliage in the background of the parade has changed to fall colors, it is still green in the Homestar Easter Egg.
*The text on the "blue face man's store" box is in Strong Bad's handwriting [[Fonts|font]], AhnbergHand, even though it is Homestar's work.
*Either Bubs' Concession Stand does not have a basement (contradicting [[geddup noise]]), or Homestar's box is covering the hole that leads to it.

===Goofs===
*At the end when the Marshie balloon crashes into the stand, and Strong Bad's float is visible in the background, the seconds counter showing how long he's been "celebrating glorious seconds of nunchucking snowmen" has nothing on it. Also, the carrot is back in Strong Sad's mouth.
*After Marzipan drinks from her hot chocolate, the mug is still full.

===Inside References===
*The two Homsars are another instance of [[Twin Characters|twin characters]].
*The "pardon our problems" screen is in the same format as the "technical difficulties" screen from [[pizzaz]].
*The [[Wikipedia:Nunchaku|nunchaku]] Strong Bad uses is from [[Dangeresque (character)|Dangeresque's]] "nunchuck-gun" in [[dangeresque 3]].
*This is another appearance of [[Sticky Notes|sticky notes]].
*The wagon supporting Strong Bad's float is the [[Wagon Fulla Pancakes]] without the pancakes.
*When the K.O.T.H.S. band first appears, it plays the theme song from [[The King of Town DVD]].

===Real-World References===
*The theme of a "Fall Float Parade" is a reference to many holiday parades, most notably the annual [[Wikipedia:Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade|Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades]] in New York.
**In a striking coincidence, an errant balloon knocked over a light pole and injured two people during the 2005 Macy's Parade, just three days after this cartoon was released. A similar event also occurred in the 1997 Macy's Parade.
*The fez-wearing Homsars in the little cars are modeled after the [[Wikipedia:Shriners|Shriners]], who also appear often in parades.
*[http://www.pennzoil.com Pennzoil] is an American motor-oil company, which has sponsored many holiday parades and sports events.
**Homsar's line "Sing a Song of Pennzoil" is a reference to the old [[Wikipedia:Nursery rhyme|nursery rhyme]] "Sing a Song of Sixpence," also commonly known as "Four and Twenty Blackbirds".
*"You say tomater, I zader matermorts" is a reference to [[Wikipedia:George Gershwin|George]] and [[Wikipedia:Ira Gershwin|Ira Gershwin]]'s 1937 hit song "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off", which compares the pronunciations of several words, including "[[Wikipedia:Tomato#Pronunciation|tomato]]" (''"to-may-to"/"to-mah-to"'').
== I'm in! ==

Thanks for welcoming me. I'm glad to be here. [[The 386]]

==Signatures==
Hey, The 386! I have been noticing that, when you are on talk pages, you sign your name like this <nowiki>[[The 386]]</nowiki>. That isn't how you sign. Here is how you sign. <nowiki>[[User:The 386|The 386]]</nowiki>. Just want to let you know! {{User:Rogue Leader/sig}} 22:28, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)

:And the easy way to do that is to use four tildes: <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>. Generally we use four tildes to sign on a talk page and three tildes to vote on STUFF (four tildes is a signature with a timestamp). {{User:Homestar Coder/sig}} 22:30, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Oh, crud. I'll try though. Is this better? [[User: The 386|The 386]]

Oh, crud. I'll try though. Is this better? [[User:The 386|The 386]] 22:33, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)[[User: The 386|The 386]]

Yep. {{User:Rogue Leader/sig}} 22:35, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Were good. [[User:The 386|The 386]] 22:37, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)[[User:The 386|The 386]]

It's fine, but you don't need to use the tildes and then put [[User:The 386|The 386]], just the tildes. It's no big, but it looks like you're signing twice. :) {{User:Homestar Coder/sig}} 22:38, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Right. [[User:The 386|The 386]] 22:39, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Perfect! {{User:Homestar Coder/sig}} 22:40, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)

It has been decided! [[User:The 386|The 386]] 22:40, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)

:Uh, ''what'' has been decided? {{User:Homestar Coder/sig}} 22:41, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)

My name, dude. [[User:The 386|The 386]] 22:42, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)
== How to do custom sigs. ==

Likes you asked...

Go to [[User:The 386/sig]] and edit it as you please. You could make it <nowiki>[[User:The 386|The 386]][[User_talk:The 386|(talk)]]</nowiki> or anything you want. Then go to your preferences and in the "Your nickname (for signatures)" box put <nowiki>{{User:The 386/sig}}</nowiki> and make sure you have the "Raw signatures (without automatic link)" checked. Then everytime you put <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>, it will put that sig. {{User:Camalex/sig}} 01:35, 4 Oct 2005 (UTC)

For real? I'll try... {User:The 386/.sig}

The 386, with your several frustrated reverts of your signature, it has come to my attention that you may simply be having a cache issue. For your signature to appear the way you've updated it, the caches on the pages it was linked to from will need to be purged. &mdash; {{User:Lapper/sig}} 21:11, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
==Signatures==

Just popped in to say hello.--{{User:Homsarroks/sig}} 02:17, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

<blockquote class="tandy email">Uhh... how come? Well, for starters, someone like you, may be good.<br />
Well, I'll let it slide for now.<br />
Is there anything else you'd like to say?<br />
{{User:The 386/sig}}</blockquote>

I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. That's all. I would also like to ask you about your opinion of Homsar. That's about it.
Oh, just out of curiosity, what did you mean by "may be good"?--{{User:Homsarroks/sig}} 00:37, 9 December 2005 (UTC)

<blockquote class="tandy email">Whoops, I didn't mean "may be good."<br />
But still, thanks for the introducement.<br />
Do you think I should have a guestbook?<br />
{{User:The 386/sig}}</blockquote>

Hmm...Yeah, probably. I have one. It's fun to see who checks out your page. I also like to encourage people to make comments about my userpage on my talk section. It's always nice to get feedback.--{{User:Homsarroks/sig}} 18:25, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
Dear Sir 386, '''Stop'''

In order for you to successfully join the gang I need a black and white profile image of yourself. '''Stop'''

Thank you oh so. '''Stop'''

Dapperly yours,
:According to your stress template, you're pretty stressed. Hope things turn out a bit better. (And I hope you also get that vacation you need). {{User:Bubsty/sig}} 04:44, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

:Me too. {{User:The thing/sig}} 8:58, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

I have it, but I'm still active. I'm going to stay active, even though I'm on vacation. I'm gonna return soon. Okay, guys? --{{User:The 386/sig}} 20:21, 24 December 2005 (UTC)

== Signature ==

I'm going to leave my sig as is, so, I'm giving up on it. I'll try later. --{{User:The 386/sig}} 21:13, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

== About that warning. ==

You don't have to worry about spam from me. I didn't even think of that when I made that name. It's a reference to Ultima 6, where one of the cheat codes was talking to a character and saying "SPAM SPAM SPAM HUMBUG".

Holidays

SpamHumbug: /* Cheatday (April 18th) */

[[Image:Holiday_Toons_Pic.PNG|thumb|Holiday In Free Country]]

'''Holidays''' are a big part of [[Free Country, USA]], with holidays such as Mother's Day and Flag Day. Some of the more prevalent holidays are unlikely choices, such as April Fool's Day and Labor Day, also known as Labor Dabor. The most celebrated holidays, however, are Halloween and [[Decemberween]], the latter of which appears to be a euphemism for Christmas, possibly created for viewers of religions other than Christianity.

== Holidays ==
=== New Year's Day (January 1st)===

A day to set goals for the next year, with no intention whatsoever of following them.

*[[Homestar Presents: Presents]] (Mentioned by Strong Bad near the end)
*[[Where's The Cheat?]] (The Cheat's resolution mentioned)
*[[Strong Sad's Lament]] (Strong Sad talks about several people's resolutions, and his own)

=== Super Bowl/The Big Game (last Sunday in January or first Sunday in February) ===

A day of rest, of putting off until tomorrow what you could do today.

*[[Superbowl Dealie]] (2003)

=== Valentine's Day (February 14th) ===

A depressing time for [[Strong Sad]], and possibly even [[Strong Bad]], Valentine's Day is the day the citizens of Free Country USA realize just how empty their lives really are.

*[[Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 6.0]] (Mentioned by Strong Bad)
*[[Strong Sad's Lament]] (Strong Sad Laments about Valentine's Day, via a short [[Powered by The Cheat]]-style animation depicting Valentine's Day: [[HR:sadjournal/vday.swf|'vday.swf']])

=== April Fool's Day (April 1st) ===
A time of tomfoolery for [[Homestar Runner (Flash cartoon)|Homestar Runner]].

*[[King of Town Intro|kingoftown.com]] (2003)
*[[Under Construction]] (2004)
*[[HomestarRunner.com PAY PLUS!]] (2005)

=== The Cheat's 'Cheatday' (April 18th)===

Free Country's biggest birthday bash is The Cheat's Cheatday, celebrated on April 18th, the date on [[The Cheat's Fake ID]], because that's the only day Strong Bad is sure is ''not'' The Cheat's birthday.

*[[cheatday]] (2004)
*[[Strong Bad's Room Main Page]] (refers to Cheatday)

===Birthdays===

General birthday references also abound. All of these toons mention someone's "birthday".

*[[In Search Of The Yello Dello DVD]] (Marzipan's birthday)
*[[flashback]] (Homestar Runner mistakenly thinks it's Strong Bad's birthday.)
*[[bottom 10]] (Marshie thinks it's his birthday. Nibbles corrects him.)

=== Mother's Day (second Sunday in May) ===

A day to recognize the hard work of the women who never have, and likely never will, appear in Free Country USA.

*[[A Mother's Day Message]] (2002)

=== Senorial Day (last Monday in May) ===

A day that seems to correspond to [[Wikipedia:Memorial Day|Memorial Day]]. Apparently, all the big stores in town (at least, [[Senor Cardgage]]'s and [[Bubs]]') have sales that weekend.

*[[Senorial Day]] (2005)

=== Flag Day (June 14th) ===

A day to proudly raise the Strongbadia flag, and sing along to the Strongbadia national anthem.

*[[flag day]] (2002)

=== Fourth of July/Independence Day (July 4th) ===
A time of patriotism, retrospect, and, of course, fireworks.

*[[Main Page 12]]
*[[Happy Fireworks]] (2005)

=== Labor Day (first Monday in September) ===
Labor Day (aka Labor-Dabor) is a day of no work, enforced by the [[Homestarmy]].
*[[Labor Dabor]] (2004)

=== Halloween (October 31st) ===
A popular holiday in Free Country. The [[Characters#Main_characters|main characters]] are always seen in a [[Halloween Costumes|different costume]] at this time.

*[[More Fan Costumes]] (2005)

=== Thanksgiving (fourth Thursday in November) ===
A time of feasting and reminiscing.

*[[Some Stupid Turkey]] (2001)
*[[Happy T]] (2002)
<small><nowiki>*</nowiki>Strong Bad is asked if he celebrates Thanksgiving, but tells us about his own Thanksgiving-like holiday.</small>

=== [[Decemberween]] (December 25th) ===
A made-up holiday that takes place 55 days after Halloween. It is no doubt parodying Christmas, or avoiding religious issues for the non-Christian audiences.
