<blockquote class="email">Yo yo, Strong Bad!<br />
Nashville, TN</blockquote>

STRONG BAD: Whoa. Took all three of ya to come up with that one, huh? You're some bright young men! {typing} You know boys, cowboys, I've never really given the ol' kingdom a thorough ghost check. {calling out} The Cheat! {The Cheat zips right up to Strong Bad} Meet me in the Strong Bad Cave!

THE CHEAT: {quizzical The Cheat noise}

STRONG BAD: Erm, well...meet me in the closet and, uh...we'll put on some costumes.

{We see an old Batman-style transition, with the eye portion of Strong Bad's facemask used as a logo to designate a scene change. Strong Bad and The Cheat walk out into Strong Badia at night, both dressed in Ghostbusters II T-shirts. Strong Bad has fake ears, while The Cheat has an afro.}

STRONG BAD: Okay, The Cheat, let's just turn on my ghost-detecting equipment here...see if we can't get any readings.

{Strong Bad turns on a flashlight and points it at the stop sign.}

STRONG BAD: Hey Sign! You haunted? {He turns it to Tire} What about you, Tire? Any ghosts? {He turns it to a box of chinese food} Chinese food! You a ghost?

{The top of the box of Chinese food opens up with a green mist escaping. The Cheat makes a screaming noise.}

STRONG BAD: IT'S THE GHOST OF GENERAL TSO! {He shines the flashlight on the chinese food} Oh wait. It's just grody and rotten. {He shines the flashlight on The Cheat. The Cheat raises his arms} The Cheat, will you please freaking clean up after yourself? Oh well, looks like Strong Badia is ghost-free, proud to be.

{The ghost of the Tandy 400 appears behind him}

STRONG BAD: Oh! Uh... My old computer! Umm... What's up, man? Sure is one... spooky sound you're making there...

{The Bad Graphics Ghost materializes on the Tandy screen}

STRONG BAD: Ooh, lookit that! Little...bad graphics ghost. {whimpers quietly} Hey, little guy... Look, old computer. Sorry I threw you out and everything but, uh...The Cheat, um...Chea-Chea-Cheat's got soccer practice, so uh... Did you remember your cleats, The Cheat? THROW THAT CHINESE FOOD AT HIM!

{The Cheat does, and they run off. The ghost computer flies away in hot pursuit. Cut back to the Compy. The Paper comes down, and the Bad Graphics Ghost appears on the Compy's screen}

Easter Eggs
*At the end of this one a "Bad Graphics Ghost" appears. The pixels disappear when the cursor is scrolled over them or the Tab key is held down.
*If all of the pixels have vanished at the same time, the computer will read "You killed the bad graphics ghost. Now Strong Sad will sing you a scary song." The scene changes to Strong Sad in outer space, where he will sing a song for you:
::Have you seen the ghost of John?
::All white bones with the skin all go-o-o-one!
::Whoo! whoooo! whooo!
::Wouldn't it be chilly with no skin ooonnnn...?
::{stops singing and looks around} Whoa, check it out. It's like I'm the master of time and space in here.

Fun Facts
Explanations
*Strong Bad comments, "Boy, is it ever Monday!" because this was released late, on a Thursday.

Trivia
*This is the first time the disk in the floppy disk container reads something. It reads "tongue of the fatman".

Remarks
*The Tandy 400 is apparently obsolete and can only display images of poor graphics, and yet it was able to clearly show a screenshot from Hairstyle Runner in homestar hair.
*The Chinese food isn't present when Strong Bad and The Cheat first walk into Strong Badia.

Goofs
*The Tandy's ghost still has the scorch marks and duct tape, but the cracks on the screen have disappeared completely.
*As Strong Bad and The Cheat enter Strong Badia, the logo on Strong Bad's shirt is reversed; it flips back to match The Cheat's once Strong Bad starts talking.
*As Strong Bad concludes that there are "no ghosts in Strong Badia", the brightness of his body from the neck down is at full, while his head is set at the proper brightness. This is corrected once the camera angle changes.

Inside References
*Strong Bad's old computer blew up in gimmicks and was eventually replaced with the Compy in invisibility.

Real-World References
*The printings on Strong Bad's and The Cheat's shirts are the logo for the movie Ghostbusters II.
*This email contains some very obvious references to the old Batman TV series from the 1960s, both in Strong Bad telling The Cheat "Quick! To the Strong Badcave!" and the scene transition between Strong Bad's computer room and Strong Badia.
*Strong Sad sings, with some instability of key, The Ghost of John, a folk song popular in music education curricula.
*General Tso's Chicken is a popular dish in Chinese restaurants in the U.S., despite being a classic example of American Chinese cuisine (foods that are purportedly Chinese but were invented in America for western consumers).

Fast Forward
*The Outer Space background is reused in One Two, One Two.

DVD Version
*You don't have to select all of the blocks on the Bad Graphics Ghost to kill it this time. You merely have to select the hidden Strong Bad icon in the lower left corner of the Compy 386 screen.
**As well, it sounds like reverb was added to Strong Sad's song and dialogue, for added creepiness.
*The DVD version features hidden creators' commentary. To access it, switch your DVD player's audio language selection while watching.

Commentary Transcript
(Commentary by: Matt Chapman, Mike Chapman)

{Strong Bad is heard in the background saying, "Boy is it ever Monday."}

MATT: That—

MIKE: Uh, I think we put it up on Wednesday that time.

MATT: Yeah, because Monday we did the, uh, Halloween cartoon, which was the Pumpkin Carve-nival—or maybe that was Tuesday—I don't even know, but yeah. So this was, uh, it's only—it's weird, the only themed, like, to a time of the year, Strong Bad Emails are Halloween ones. There's the halloweener one and this one.

MIKE: That's true—well, the flag day one.

MATT: That's true, that was on Flag Day, wasn't it?

MIKE: Yeah.

MATT: That's of course a reference to the old Batman TV show.

MIKE: Spider-Man.

MATT: What? It was Batman.

MIKE: Scrapeman. Scrape-on-the-knee-man. Uh, I like doing Strong Badia and the blue for night.

MATT: Yeah, this was good, there's the masking—

MIKE: Yeah, like three maskings right there.

MATT: Yeah, that's the good...

MIKE: Remember when the toons menu used to be an old Chinese menu?

MATT: I do.

MIKE: —Chinese restaurant menu? That was the dragon that we used on that menu.

MATT: I like that they're both wearing Ghostbusters II outfits. My friend Jamie still has a Ghostbusters II shirt, I think. Jamie's the guy that first said the words "Homestar Runner" all together. I like—all these sound effects are just me going {blows to make wind sound} and {pssswishyswish sound}

MIKE: You're so talented.

MATT: Yeah, listen how much more talented I am than Mike. {powacahoowachoo sound}

MIKE: {powankydoowow musical sound}

MATT: This is supposed to sound like a laser.

MIKE: A laser. {pee-oww musical sound}

MATT: Hey, I do— Watch; listen. {fweeowwoosh} Here it comes again. It's going to come back in. Ooh. {blows to make ghost sound}

(Commentary by: Matt Chapman, Mike Chapman)

{Strong Bad is heard in the background saying, "Boy is it ever Monday."}

MATT: I like that they're both wearing Ghostbusters II outfits. My friend Jamie still has a Ghostbusters II shirt, I think. Jamie's the guy that first said the words "Homestar Runner" all together. I like—all these sound effects are just me going {blows to make wind sound} and {pssswishyswish sound}

MIKE: You're so talented.

MATT: Yeah, listen how much more talented I am than Mike. {powacahoowachoo sound}

MIKE: {powankydoowow musical sound}

MATT: This is supposed to sound like a laser.

MIKE: A laser. {pee-oww musical sound}

MATT: Hey, I do— Watch; listen. {fweeowwoosh} Here it comes again. It's going to come back in. Ooh. {blows to make ghost sound}
Page Title: Not the 100th Email!!!

Explanation
The two weeks following different town were filled with much angst, as faithful Strong Bad Email fans woke up on those Monday mornings without a new Email. After being teased by Teen Girl Squad Issue 5, Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 10.2, and Puppet Time, many people were getting impatient waiting for the 100th Strong Bad Email. Several of these people went so far as to check the expected URL for the Email directly, in hopes that they could see the Email as soon as possible. The only way this could be done was to type "http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail100.html" into their address bar, since this address would follow the format used for the previous ninety-nine Emails. These users kept getting the usual 404'd page, until about 2:20 a.m. (EST) on Tuesday, March 16, 2004, which was when they were greeted by Not the 100th Email!!!.

Transcript
{Scene opens to typical Internet Explorer 6 error message. The sound of the wind blowing can be heard.}

{Strong Bad walks on to the screen from the left to confront the viewer.}

STRONG BAD: Oh, I suppose you think you're {sways his hips} pretty clever, huh? Thought you would find something you weren't supposed to see yet? Well, it's not&mdash;

{Homestar walks on from the right, interrupting Strong Bad.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Hey, is this where the hundredth email is?

STRONG BAD: No. Get outta here!

HOMESTAR RUNNER: When are you going to do one already?

STRONG BAD: Hey, just keep your pants on.

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Pants? Hmm...

STRONG BAD: Yeah, chew on that one for a while... {mumbles as he walks off} Teach you to poke around in my HTML...

{A handwritten sticky note, which is supposed to be a system alert message, is slapped onto the screen, that reads:}

<pre>
This is real.
System report:
Keep your pants on.
For real.
[ ok ]
</pre>

Fun Facts
Trivia
*This is probably the only secret page on the site that is supposed to be found, but was never purposefully linked to at any time. However, for a short while, the links to Strong Bad E-mails on Broken Compy Menu were one lower than they should've been, so clicking on car brought you to Not the 100th Email.

Remarks
*Since the file for this animation is named sbemail100.html, the actual hundredth email's file name is sbemailahundred.html.

*If you use a Flash player that is able to show the number of frames in a file, you'll find that the total number of frames in this file is exactly four hundred four (404). (29 frames have been added in after the Flash file stops to bring it to this count.)
*The "Ths page cannot be found" page is for Internet Explorer, so if you use Firefox, You might not recognize that page.

Inside References
*The fake system report is from 50 emails. Homestar put up a nearly identical one when he caused an error on the Compy.
*The wind-like sound effect at the beginning of the toon is from the sbemail ghosts. In the email, it plays shortly before and during when the little Bad Graphics Ghost appears on the Tandy 400, and for a short time when it also shows up on the Compy 386 screen. Both the background screen and sound effects were also used in The System is Down.
*This is another reference to Homestar Runner's Pants.

<blockquote class="lappy email">
<div>subject: records</div>
dear strong bad,<br>
i was wondering if you were in the record book. if so,<br>
what for?<br>
nathan, tx</blockquote>

{Strong Bad says "tx" as "Tee-Ex" (that is, as the individual letters).}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Oooh, the Nathan TX! That has, like, way four more cylinders than the standard Nathan. Better Blue Book value, too. I can't remember if I'm in the record book or not. Seems like I should be. Let's take a look. A book-look. {pronounced like "buuk luke"}

{Cut to a table. Strong Bad places "THE RECORD BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS The Book!" on the table.}

STRONG BAD: All right, let's see what we got in here.

{He opens the book to page 42. The page shows a picture of a really dirty Coach Z with an afro and mustache, and reads "Chapter 4 - Records of Smell, Longest Showerless Streak 65 Days, 3 Hours, 42 Minutes: COACH Z."}

STRONG BAD: Sixty-five days?! That's way outdated! I'm pretty sure he's surpassed that one by several fortnights at this point.

{Turns to page 116. This page shows young Strong Bad in a diaper and reads "Chapter 4 - Records of Smell, Dirtiest Diapey, Very, Very Dirty: LIL' STRONG BAD."}

STRONG BAD: Dirtiest Diape&mdash; Whoa! {throws coffee, eggs and bacon on the page and makes coughing noises} Coffee, eggs, bacon! Oh, too bad, I accidentally made breakfast all over whatever that record was for.

{Cut back to the Lappy}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Clearly, this book is in serious need of an update. Let's begin with the title. How about: Count Longardeaux's Book of Party Tricks, Redneck Jokes, and Worldly Records. {The book appears} Now that sounds like a book worthy of every toilet-side magazine basket. Now let's go see about updating some o' them records.

{He gets up. We now see Strong Sad, holding a magnifying glass and humming softly, writing on a grain of rice. His face is magnified. Strong Bad walks up.}

STRONG BAD: 'Sup, double-bottom? How much you weigh?

STRONG SAD: What do you wanna know that for?

STRONG BAD: Count Longardeaux has me out gathering new records {holds up a clipboard, which has a paper on it that reads "who the fattest?"} for his record book.

STRONG SAD: Oh! Well then this should interest you! I've transcribed Paradise Lost onto this single grain of basmati rice! {Cut to a view of the rice grain through the magnifying glass.} In four languages!

STRONG BAD: Oh, yeah! That definitely deserves a record!

{A buzzer is heard and a page of the book is shown. It reads "Chapter 7 - Records of Loneliness, Biggest Waste of Dump: Strong "The Biggest Waste of Dump" Sad." The picture shows Strong Sad looking through his magnifying glass at the camera, smiling.}

{Cut to the King of Town's castle. The King of Town is seen with a giant pile of salt in front of him. Strong Bad walks up.}

STRONG BAD: All right, King o' Town, I need some disgusting eating records. Why don't you just, uh, have lunch, and I'm sure you'll set several without even trying.

THE KING OF TOWN: Ooh! I like eating lunch! Today I'm having a giant pile of salt!

{The camera pans over, and we can now see the entire pile. We can also see a salt shaker labeled with the number "7" sitting near the pile.}

THE KING OF TOWN: Vwoooooooooooooooooo-foop!

{The King sucks it all in in one gulp, like a vacuum cleaner, including the salt shaker.}

STRONG BAD: Whoa! Nice woik!

{The King seems to hiccup three times.}

STRONG BAD: What, you got-a some hiccups?

{The King "hiccups" again.}

THE KING OF TOWN: Nope. Those, my friend, are heart attacks!

{Another buzzer, another page that reads "Chapter 3 - Disgusting Eating/Old Person Records, Least Healthiest (Man?): The King of Town." The King "hiccups" again.}

{Cut to Homestar Runner in The Field on his soapbox, which now reads "THIRTEEN, Y'ALL."}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: What do you call a redneck, with no teeth, that watches stock car racing all day? Ba-ha-ha-haaa! Man, they do not wear shirts!

{Cut to Strong Bad and Coach Z, also in The Field.}

STRONG BAD: So, Coach Z, what kind of wonderment do you have in store for us? That's not shower-related?

COACH Z: Well, I'm gonna set the world record for puttin' nine pieces {starts putting chewed gum on his face} of chewed gum up on my face and singin' the "I'm Just Me" song and hoppin' around on one foot! {He starts hopping on one foot.}

STRONG BAD: Coach...

COACH Z: {singing} I'm just me! {Strong Bad shakes his head.} Can't you see? {Strong Bad starts hitting himself.} I'm just a silly little bumblebee!

STRONG BAD: Oh, please stop! {Coach Z stops hopping and singing, but remains on one foot.} Look, you can't just make up some random crap that no one else will ever do and call that a "record." {Cut to Homsar, hopping on one foot with nine pieces of chewed gum on his face. The music from Homsar's character video plays.} Count Longardeaux would not stand for&mdash;

HOMSAR: I'm just me! Can't you see? I'm just a silly little bumblebee!

{Homestar pops up.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: What does a redneck man call a dead possum lyin' in the middle of the road? Ba-ha-ha-haa! Probably sushi!

{An unseen audience groans.}

{Cut back to the Lappy.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Well, I think we're just about done here. Strong Mad set the record&mdash;

{A page of the book that reads "Chapter 2 - Special Records, Most Macaronis Nailed To A Paper Towel Tube... By Strong Mad (Just One!): Strong Mad." The picture shows Strong Mad holding his tube. It has many holes in it and at the top is one macaroni nailed into it }

STRONG BAD: &mdash;for Most Macaronis Nailed To A Paper Towel Tube...By Strong Mad.

{Another page, "Chapter 11 - Records of Smell/Track and Field, Pole Vault, 20 ft. 1.5 in.: Marzipan" appears. This one has no picture, and instead there is a black box that reads "Suprisingly, No Photo Available."}

STRONG BAD: Marzipan set the World Record for the pole vault. And Bubs won Cutest Couple.

{Yet another page, this one reading "Chapter 9 - Superlatives, Cutest Couple: Bubs" with a picture of Bubs (and no one else) trying to look cute.}

STRONG BAD: Oh, wait, I forgot about me. I gots to get in this record book somehow. I'll get the record for...

{Cut back to show The Cheat standing nearby.}

THE CHEAT: {makes The Cheat noises}

STRONG BAD: What?! "Most rectangular mouth?!" My mouth can be round!

THE CHEAT: {makes The Cheat noises and puts his hands on his hips}

STRONG BAD: What a bunch of bull {making his mouth as round as possible} hOOOOOOOOoooooooOOOOOOOOOO&mdash;

{A buzzer is heard, followed by a page appears that reads "Chapter 7 - Saying Words For A Long Time Records, Longest 'Bull Honkey', 13.4 Seconds: The Human Strong Bad." The picture shows Strong Bad in the same position he was just seen in.}

STRONG BAD: &mdash;nkey. Bull honkey.

{The Paper comes down. Instead of the normal Back button, Count Longardeaux's image has a speech bubble reading "Back" in its place.}
*Near the beginning, click on "standard Nathan" to see a drawing of "Standard Nathan" (some generic man) on an index card.
**As the picture zooms in, it shows "the Nathan TX," which shows a weird smiling car in front of Standard Nathan. It is labeled "built-in smoke" (pointing to smoke from the tires), "3 front wheels" (pointing to its multiple front wheels), and "nathan" (pointing to Nathan).
*When the King of Town is eating the salt, click on the salt shaker to see a can of "Standard Nathan" Brand salt. (The link continues to work after the King has sucked up the shaker)
*While Homestar Runner is telling his second redneck joke, click on Homsar in the background to see his record page. It reads "Chapter 81 - Awkwardnesses, The Semi-Annual Mustard Man Award Or Best Offer!: Homsar" and shows Homsar with the gum on his face and his hat over his eyes.

Fun Facts
Explanations
*The King of Town had a heart attack after eating the pile of salt because it contains sodium, a chemical element linked to high blood pressure. Persistent high blood pressure is a risk factor for heart attacks.

Trivia
*The label on the disk in the floppy disk container reads "crush, crumble, & chomp".

Remarks
*As of July 25, 2005, the women's world record for pole vault was 16 ft, 5 in. That record was set on July 22, 2005. Marzipan's world record is just one-quarter inch short of the men's world record of 20 ft, 1.75 in. However, that was set indoors, and the outdoor record is 20 ft., 1.25 in., which Marzipan beat.
*Though Strong Bad's record says "13.4 seconds", he only says "Bull Honkey" for 10.8 seconds, counting both "Bull" and the silent pause before "key". Just the Hooo&ndash; part lasts for 8.1 seconds. However from the time he starts saying "Bull Honkey" to The Paper coming down is 13.4 seconds. The number is more likely to refer to the fact that this is email #134.
*When Strong Bad was turning to the "Dirtiest Diapey" record, it looked like he was turning two pages, but instead, he turned seventy-four pages. Also, the same chapter (Chapter 4 - Records of Smell) continues 74 pages further.
<!-- We've seen Strong Sad smile in the past, and it's not so much of a rarity these days, so don't put it here. -->

Goofs
*Count Longardeaux's book apparently has two chapter sevens &mdash; one for "Records of Loneliness" and one for "Saying Words For A Long Time Records."
*Even after the King of Town swallows up the Salt Shaker and the record page appears, you can still activate the Easter Egg. However, after the record page comes up, you cannot see the easter egg behind the record page.
*While Strong Bad is turned away from the lappy part of the screen is going over the outside of it's normal area.
*In the original record book, It says the Coach Z record is page 42, and we only see Strong Bad turn about ten pages. It would be impossible to get to page 118 from there.

Inside References
*Strong Bad spills eggs, coffee, and bacon on his outdated record book.
*The tune which Strong Bad sings during the email's intro is similar to the tune which plays whenever a recipe card appears during the email secret recipes.
*Coach Z was seen with an afro and mustache in stand-up.
*The salt shaker labeled '7' that the King of Town is seen eating from is also used in Meet Marshie.
*"You got-a some hiccups?" is the same line Strong Bad used in Halloween Fairstival when The Cheat got the hiccups.
*The Soapbox Homestar stands on has been seen before in fingers and army, with labels containing "eleven" and "twelve", respectively (in this email it contains "thirteen").
*The music played while Homsar hops on one foot is from his character video.
*The buzzer that is played when the pages appear on the screen is that same one that's used for the DELETED screen.
*The groans heard when Homestar tells his second redneck joke are from Senorial Day.
*Coach Z has the record for "longest showerless streak."
*Strong Bad saying "nice woik" is example of "Er" pronounced as "Oi".

Real-World References
*"Blue Book" refers to the Kelley Blue Book, a resource book for people who want to buy or sell used cars. When discussing the price of a used car, people will often check the Blue Book for the car's value.
Luxury editions will usually be differentiated by a series containing an "x', such as EX, LX, EXT etc.
*Strong Bad's beginning "Drape it over your arms..." song is sung to the opening notes of "Super Trooper" by The Oceans which is the theme to the 1985 film "Poliziotto superpiù" A.K.A. "Superfuzz".
*Strong Bad's remark that you can't just "make up some random crap that no-one will ever do" and call it a record is a possible reference to the Guinness World Records TV show, which depicted several obscure records, such as "Most bubbles blown with a tarantula in the mouth" or "Furthest distance of milk squirted from eye."

Fast Forward
*Bull Honkey is later seen in road trip as an energy drink.
