Angel
*In a season five episode of Angel entitled The Girl in Question, Spike and Angel visited Buffy's apartment and instead found Andrew, who was wearing a black Strong Bad t-shirt. Later in the episode, Andrew wore the same Strong Bad shirt with a pore strip plastered on his nose.
*Incidentally, Andrew is the very same character who appeared in the Trogdor-laden Buffy reference. Since both shows are the brainchildren of creator/writer/executive director Joss Whedon, we can probably assume that the creator of Buffy is also a fan of Homestar Runner.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
In the series finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Ep. 722) Trogdor was used as a creature in a game of Dungeons and Dragons.
:XANDER: By the pillar, yeah. I'm protecting this area.

The Andy Milonakis Show
*On one episode Andy makes an awkward play named "MOOOOOOOOON!" This is said like the soy sauce drunk Strong Bad in personal favorites. The video for "MOOOOOOOOOOON!" can be found here
*One of Andy's older friends, Larry, is often coming to Andy when he's not around asking to borrow his can opener, just as Homestar Runner is often doing the same to Strong Bad regarding his fondue pot.

*In the episode "Bye Bye Nerdy", Bloo pulls off a jump similar to that in stunt double and dangeresque 3 by Strong Bad as the title character.
*At one point in the episode "Squeakerboxxx", Wilt calls the elephant "Harry Elefante", which Strong Bad calls Strong Sad in origins. TV.com said this about it:
**It also refers to two different items: The first comes from the "Friends" episode "The One That Follows The Super Bowl" in which Ross (David Schwimmer) says that Marcel (his pet monkey) has a favorite toy named "Harry Elefante", and was used in a Strong Bad E-mail entitled "origins" on homestarrunner.com that refered to Strong Bad's brother, Strong Sad, as "Harry Elefante".
*In "Duchess of Wails," there's an orange imaginary friend that looks suspiciously like Trogdor.
*In the episode "Bloo Done It," Bloo has a star sticker stuck to his head, and he takes it off and angrily stomps on it, similar to what Homestar does in different town.
*In the episode titled "One False Movie," the imaginary friend Wilt pronounces "robot" as "robit," such as The Homestar Runner does in 20X6 vs. 1936.
They announced that later this year they are going to release a DVD with the first hundred emails.
Survivor: Pearl Islands
When Ryan Shoulders picks up some tree mail (the show's system of getting messages to the castaways), he sings the opening to SB Email techno, singing it as "the tree mail, the tree mail, what, what, the tree mail."

The Tonight Show with Jay Leno
TBC knew that a wiki member was in the Flashforward audience. On the H*R Junkmail Filta, I'd like to think they were winking at us. &mdash; It's dot com 19:19, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

:Maybe that was just in there because TBC has stated multiple times that they don't answer emails on a previously covered topic (dangeresque 3 being the closest thing to an exception). --IT'S A LION! 20:14, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
::Sure, that's why "Draw Trodor again" is there, but I think the ";)" is directed this direction. &mdash; It's dot com 20:30, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
:::Nah, I don't think it was us in particular - more like the people who keep sending emails about things that have already been done. -- 20:32, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
::::Well, of course I can't be sure, but I'd still like to think so. :) &mdash; It's dot com 20:37, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
the intro was a definate reference to the Tom Hanks appearance on SNL; specifically the Wayne's World Sketch with Hanks as the roadie for Aerosmith. user:thereddestraddish
Nougat is the candy equivalent of veal
What is Strong Bad talking about? There's a Wikipedia entry on Nougat but I didn't get any veal equivalency there. --66.241.95.65 19:58, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
:He's just saying that Veal is like the best kind of meat, nougat is like a candy Veal. Its like.. a metafor? i dunno, one of those.--Collin 20:00, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
::Well, I could be wrong, but I think this was another job for making stuff up. Remember, that's one of Strong Bad's hobbies. 20:01, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
::I don't think so. The important characteristic of veal is it's made from baby cows, or at least that seems to me to be what he's referencing. Veal is only the best if you like it. Lots of people don't. --66.241.95.65 20:06, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
:::Veal is really tender, and nougat is soft and easy to chew as well. I guess. 20:07, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
:::Veal is also expensive and closely associated with cuisine. You may not like it, but that doesn't make it any less luxurious. There's no way he means that nougat is the candy that's made out of baby cows. That's just stupid and totally counter to the idiom he's using. Besides, he's trying to hype the candy bar, not get PETA on his case. PolarBoy
::::So nougat is the most expensive, luxurious candy? Finally, an explanation that makes sense! --66.241.95.65 20:43, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
"Sibilants"
I believe Strong Bad is actually saying "syphilis" at the beginning of this email.
Because: he is obviously doing a mike check, and "syphilis" is the word generally used in video production to do a mike test.
Trust me, I know. --IT'S A LION! 20:11, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

:Um, no. It's Sibilance, clearly, and ref. Wayne's World skit on SNL with Tom Hanks and Aerosmith.
20:12, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

::Also, the whole point is to check that the sound system is properly reproducing sibilants (or sibilance). In the U.S., we don't pronounce the "T", so it's impossible to know whether he's saying sibilants or sibilance, but it's definitely not syphillis. --66.241.95.65 20:15, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
::::Well how i did it, was i made a new file in Flash MX and imported the SWF file, and on the frame that it had the newspaper, i just clicked the border and pressed delete. == Elements ==

Someone's mentioned that Pb and Al stand for lead and aluminum in the remarks section. It seems to me that this should be an all-or-nothing comment. So should we add Co (cobalt), Cr (chromium), Ca (calcium), and Mt (meitnerium)? Or should we delete the existing remark?
:It's been removed on those grounds, but I'm in favor of re-adding that fact with all the real elements listed. &mdash;BazookaJoe 20:53, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
::Yeah, that was me. I mistakenly noted "Ma" as a real element in my summary, didn't remember Cr, and have never heard of Mt before (it's one of those bottom-row post-100 elements) but yeah. -- 20:54, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
Kick The Cheat (game)

Theforumveteran: /* Trivia */

Kick The Cheat is a "game" that was accessible from the Flash Store. You hit the Kick button and a giant Strong Bad foot kicks The Cheat as he falls from a robotic arm. If you hit him successfully, he slams against a brick wall and falls to the ground. It is also possible to hit him so that he merely flies up into the air, but does not hit the wall for which you will earn no points. The score is calculated once The Cheat hits the wall, therefore if you press reset before he hits the wall the point will not be added. It uses Flash LSOs (similar to cookies) to save your score between sessions of the game (i.e., if you stop playing and come back later, your score is remembered).

Page Title: Kick the Cheat the Cheat! Rent to Own!

Fun Facts
Explanations
*This game came out as an advertisement for the Talking Kick The Cheat doll.

Trivia
*The game was originally going to be how far you could kick The Cheat. Using a Flash seek bar, you can view him flying through the air with a distance meter at the top of the screen.
*The Cheat will always land in the same position (with the top of his head pointing toward the viewer).
*If you hold the KICK! button while The Cheat is dropping, the leg will raise backward, building up power.
*To kick the cheat, wait about three seconds after you drop it.

Goofs
*Apparently, The Cheat will begin to scream about a split second before the Strong Bad foot hits him.

Inside References
*The doll and this game are references to Strong Bad's long-standing habit of kicking The Cheat.
I was gonna have all of everyone believing that I was you and that the teeming pile of whatsit was really a smoldering pile of money covered in whatsit. How'd you get in here anyways?

{Homestar Runner approaches from the left side of the computer, holding a hamburger.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: I let him in. {to The Poopsmith} Here you go. {hands him the hamburger} Oh, {turns to Strong Bad} and you're out of mayo.

{Homestar and The Poopsmith exit toward the left. Strong Bad turns and addresses the camera.}

STRONG BAD: Is there like a sign on my door that says {makes a sweeping gesture} "Wanted: Everyone I hate. Inquire within"?

{The King of Town approaches from the right side of the computer.}

THE KING OF TOWN: I didn't see one.

{Strong Bad utters some frustrated gibberish and turns back to the computer.}

STRONG BAD: {resumes typing} So apparently I'm not The Poopsmith. But I got lots of secret identities. Lately, I've been using this one: Tip Tappers: Expensive Briefcase Carrier. I use Mr. Tappers when I'm on tour and I want to check into a hotel and not be bothered by legions of fans.

{Cut to Bubs' Concession Stand, now labled Bubs' Motor Lodge, at night. On the sign is a neon caricature of Bubs' head with three neon Z's next to it, each of which light up in cascading fashon. Bubs is wearing a nametag and Strong Bad has with him a briefcase. A sign-in book is on the counter.}

BUBS: And what name will this room be under?

STRONG BAD: Uh, Tip Tappers, please. Unless some girl asks what room Strong Bad's in. And she's at least a seven out of ten. Or uh {thinks} six if she's naked.

BUBS: That'll be nine hundred dollars Mr. {clears his throat loudly} Tappers.

{Homestar emerges from behind the building, carrying an empty ice bucket, face covered with cinnamon and dressed in a robe, a gold shirt, and pink bunny slippers.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Is there an ice machine around here?

BUBS: Certainly, Mr. Dee Williams.

{Cut back to the Lappy.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} And then there's Vance Mudgeman. I use that identity when I drop in on my secret second family over in Broiter Grove. Ahh, those kids love Daddy Mudgeman.

{Cut to the trailer home. Strong Bad is sitting in a green armchair watching TV. He is wearing a grease-stained A-shirt and has a couple of days' growth of beard stubble on his face. Kids' laughter can be heard in the background.}

STRONG BAD: {to someone off screen} You get back here with that remote, Jeffrey Beffrey Mudgeman. I'm not afraid to smack&mdash; {holds up his glove menacingly}

{Cut abruptly back to the Lappy.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Yes, well, you gotta be firm. {clears his throat} And then of course there's the secret identity I use to write my advice column for a popular women's magazine.

{An issue of Scarfgirl appears from the bottom of the screen.}

STRONG BAD: Using the pseudoname<!--[sic]--> Cara Carabowditbowdit, I'm slowly but surely making the girls of the world cooler for all us dudes.

{Cut to the journalist's office. Strong Bad sits at an old typewriter, wearing a brown wig with a skull and bone on it.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Dear Buttless in Bedstuy, Sounds like YOU need to play more video games, galpal. And not those girly ones where you pretend to be a dog or a frog neither. I'm talkin' about the explodey ones. The kind that make you dizzy when you play 'em. Then maybe your guy will stop talking about his ex. Eat a Steak, Cara Carabowditbowdit. {He finishes by typing "XOXOXO".}

{Cut to Marzipan's house. Marzipan and Homestar are sitting together on her couch, and Marzipan is reading Scarfgirl.}

MARZIPAN: {angrily} This lady doesn't know what she's talking about. And I don't like her pseudoname<!--[sic]-->.

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Aw, you're probably just jealous 'cause she gets all the hot boys.

{A crumpled ball of paper flies in from off screen and hits Homestar in the face.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Marzipan, mail's here.

{He reaches down and picks it up.}

MARZIPAN: What's it say?

{Homestar uncrumples it and reads the following. Strong Bad has scribbled over his own name.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: No I don't. Strong Bad. I mean, Cara Carabowditbowdit.

MARZIPAN: See, I told you.

{Cut back to the Lappy.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} So you see? Secret identities aren't just for superheroes and Garth Brooks anymore. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have several butts to jettison from my home.

{He gets up and goes off to the left.}

STRONG BAD: {grunts from off screen as he throws Homestar}

{Homestar flies across the screen and lands with a thud.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Thanks for having me overrrrr!

STRONG BAD: {grunts from off screen as he throws the King.}

{The King, too, flies across the screen and lands with a thud.}

THE KING OF TOWN: Worst mayonnaise party everrrr!

{The Poopsmith walks across while being prodded all the while by Strong Bad using a fondue fork.}

STRONG BAD: Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out.

{The Paper comes down.}

Fun Facts
checkstuffpage
Explanations
*Bedstuy is short for Bedford-Stuyvesant, a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn.
*A daemon, sometimes called a service, is a background process that serves an important function in a computer system. Common uses for daemons include such things as sending email or running web and FTP servers.
**The word "daemon" can be correctly pronounced "DEE-mon" (just like "demon"), or "DAY-mon", similar to how Strong Bad pronounces it in this e-mail.
*"Pseudoname" is a common misspelling of "pseudonym," a fictitious name used as an alternative to one's legal name.
*A cowboy is featured on the cover of "Laramie... Why?" because Laramie is a popular setting for westerns.

Trivia
*This is the first time The Poopsmith has been explicitly named with the definite article.
*Bubs' marquee reads:
<pre>BUBS' MOTOR
LODGE
(in small lettering:)
FORMERLY BUBSO'S CONCES5ION STAND</pre>
*Bubs' nametag reads:
<pre>My Name
BUBS</pre>
*Homestar's shirt reads:
<pre>I ♥
TOXIC
WASTE</pre>
*The Easter egg with Strong Sad was added several hours after the initial release of the toon.
*The label on the disk in the floppy disk container reads "sam and max."

Bubs' Motor Lodge Registry
Trivia
Remarks
*The sound when the Poopsmith is poking Strong Bad with his shovel and when Strong Bad is poking the Poopsmith to make him leave is the "Drip" error sound from the old Mac OS.
*Strong Bad and The Poopsmith have actually appeared together several times in the past, most notably in big white face, Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon, and at the end of most Holiday Toons.
*If he is to be believed, then Strong Bad is apparently the only of the main characters to have offspring, his second family as Vance Mudgeman. Before him, the character closest to having any kids was The King of Town who was originally going to be Marzipan's father, and Coach Z remarking he was a mother in garage sale.
*Unless the email is not in chronological order, Homestar already has a pseudonym ("Mr. Dee Williams") when he talks about getting one in the Easter egg.
*If the Mudgeman trailer is the trailer in the email portrait, then they have apparently redesigned since then. In portrait, there was a portrait of Strong Bad to the left of the "Born to be Danged" poster, and the Moose lamp at the right was originally on the left, and broken.

Goofs
*When the email was first released, the name in Bubs' register that reads "mr. allan poe" was incorrectly spelled as "mr. allen poe," a common misspelling of the name of American author Edgar Allan Poe. This was corrected later in the day.
*In the scene where Strong Bad is writing on a typewriter, the shine in his left eye is missing.

Inside References
*The book title "Laramie, Why?" is a reference to the similar title "Eww, Claire!! Why???" from origins, which was also written by Beverly Sportsinterviews.
*The room in which Vance Mudgeman is sitting (with the moose lamp and "Born to be Danged" poster) is in a double-wide trailer, first seen in the email portrait. The moose lamp is probably a reference to Homestar's "moose lamp" in the same email.
*"BUBSO'S CONCE5SION STAND" is a reference to geddup noise.
*Strong Bad prods the Poopsmith with a fondue fork to encourage him to leave. Homestar has borrowed Strong Bad's fondue set at least twice.
*Bubs' name tag is a reference to Puppets on the Road, where Shark-Tooth Bubs says "My name Shark-Tooth Bubs."
*Homestar's housecoat and stubble were introduced in caper.
*Strong Bad mentions that his secret family lives in Broiter Grove, a town also found on the back of the discontinued Limozeen concert T-shirt.
*Whaddaya Know, Haddi-Man? is playing on the TV in the Mudgeman home.

Real-World References
*The mention of Garth Brooks is a reference to his 1999 rock & roll alter-ego, Chris Gaines.
*"Strongbad_email.wad" and "Initiate sbemail-refresh daemon" are both homages to the PC game, Doom.
**WAD files contain level, graphical, and sound files for the game.
**"Initiate sbemail-refresh daemon," is similar to a line of text first seen in Doom and Doom II, which reads "Init DOOM refresh daemon."
Dear Strongbad,<br>
Do you have a secret Identity? cause you know that<br>
would be the kinda rockin' cool thing you'd have.<br>
Chris<br>
Laramie, Wy<br>
</blockquote>

{Strong Bad sings "Wy" as "why" in a soft high-pitched voice.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Chris, let me be frank. The term "rockin' cool" is so uncool it makes my face hurt.

{clears screen}

STRONG BAD: Okay, now all the "rockin' cool"s are off the screen.

{He shrieks as he realizes what he's typed, and clears the screen again.}

STRONG BAD: They're gone. Those things are vicious. Anyway Frank, I believe your question was about my secret identity. Well, let me ask you this: have you ever seen The Poopsmith and I in the same place at the same time?

{Cut to a wide shot of the computer room. The Poopsmith is standing behind Strong Bad and to his right.}

STRONG BAD: Dun dun DUUUNH<!--Note: this spelling was taken directly from the Flash file-->! That's right! It is I who dons the crappy orange gloves and shovels&mdash;

{The Poopsmith jabs Strong Bad a couple of times with his shovel. Strong Bad stops typing and turns to face him.}

STRONG BAD: What the?! What are you doing here? {shakes his fist a little as he talks} You ruined my scam, man! I was gonna have all of everyone believing that I was you and that the teeming pile of whatsit was really a smoldering pile of money covered in whatsit. How'd you get in here anyways?

{Homestar Runner approaches from the left side of the computer, holding a hamburger.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: I let him in. {to The Poopsmith} Here you go. {hands him the hamburger} Oh, {turns to Strong Bad} and you're out of mayo.

{Homestar and The Poopsmith exit toward the left. Strong Bad turns and addresses the camera.}

STRONG BAD: Is there like a sign on my door that says {makes a sweeping gesture} "Wanted: Everyone I hate. Inquire within"?

{The King of Town approaches from the right side of the computer.}

THE KING OF TOWN: I didn't see one.

{Strong Bad utters some frustrated gibberish and turns back to the computer.}

{Cut to Bubs' Concession Stand, now labled Bubs' Motor Lodge, at night. On the sign is a neon caricature of Bubs' head with three neon Z's next to it, each of which light up in cascading fashon. Bubs is wearing a nametag and Strong Bad has with him a briefcase. A sign-in book is on the counter.}

{Homestar emerges from behind the building, carrying an empty ice bucket, face covered with cinnamon and dressed in a robe, a gold shirt, and pink bunny slippers.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Is there an ice machine around here?

BUBS: Certainly, Mr. Dee Williams.

{Cut back to the Lappy.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} And then there's Vance Mudgeman. I use that identity when I drop in on my secret second family over in Broiter Grove. Ahh, those kids love Daddy Mudgeman.

{Cut to the trailer home. Strong Bad is sitting in a green armchair watching TV. He is wearing a grease-stained A-shirt and has a couple of days' growth of beard stubble on his face. Kids' laughter can be heard in the background.}

STRONG BAD: {to someone off screen} You get back here with that remote, Jeffrey Beffrey Mudgeman. I'm not afraid to smack&mdash; {holds up his glove menacingly}

{Cut abruptly back to the Lappy.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Yes, well, you gotta be firm. {clears his throat} And then of course there's the secret identity I use to write my advice column for a popular women's magazine.

{An issue of Scarfgirl appears from the bottom of the screen.}

STRONG BAD: Using the pseudoname<!--[sic]--> Cara Carabowditbowdit, I'm slowly but surely making the girls of the world cooler for all us dudes.

{Cut to the journalist's office. Strong Bad sits at an old typewriter, wearing a brown wig with a skull and bone on it.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Dear Buttless in Bedstuy, Sounds like YOU need to play more video games, galpal. And not those girly ones where you pretend to be a dog or a frog neither. I'm talkin' about the explodey ones. The kind that make you dizzy when you play 'em. Then maybe your guy will stop talking about his ex. Eat a Steak, Cara Carabowditbowdit. {He finishes by typing "XOXOXO".}

{Cut to Marzipan's house. Marzipan and Homestar are sitting together on her couch, and Marzipan is reading Scarfgirl.}

MARZIPAN: {angrily} This lady doesn't know what she's talking about. And I don't like her pseudoname<!--[sic]-->.

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Aw, you're probably just jealous 'cause she gets all the hot boys.

{A crumpled ball of paper flies in from off screen and hits Homestar in the face.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Marzipan, mail's here.

{He reaches down and picks it up.}

MARZIPAN: What's it say?

{Homestar uncrumples it and reads the following. Strong Bad has scribbled over his own name.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: No I don't. Strong Bad. I mean, Cara Carabowditbowdit.

MARZIPAN: See, I told you.

{Cut back to the Lappy.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} So you see? Secret identities aren't just for superheroes and Garth Brooks anymore. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have several butts to jettison from my home.

{He gets up and goes off to the left.}

STRONG BAD: {grunts from off screen as he throws Homestar}

{Homestar flies across the screen and lands with a thud.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Thanks for having me overrrrr!

STRONG BAD: {grunts from off screen as he throws the King.}

{The King, too, flies across the screen and lands with a thud.}

THE KING OF TOWN: Worst mayonnaise party everrrr!

{The Poopsmith walks across while being prodded all the while by Strong Bad using a fondue fork.}

STRONG BAD: Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out.

{The Paper comes down.}

Easter Eggs
*After Strong Bad says "Laramie.....Why?", click on the phrase to get a book of the same name, written by Beverly and Lem Sportsinterviews.
*After Strong Bad types "So apparently I'm not The Poopsmith," click on "The Poopsmith" to see a picture that is a cross between The Poopsmith and Strong Bad, with Strong Bad's head and feet, The Poopsmith's mouth and body, and a mix of Strong Bad and The Poopsmith's gloves.
*While Strong Bad is checking in to Bubs' Motor Lodge, click on the reservations book to see it up close.
*Click on the Lappy's screen at the end to see a scene with Homestar and Marzipan.
:HOMESTAR RUNNER: Maybe I should get me one of them pseudonames.
:STRONG SAD: {leaning in from the side of the screen, freaked out as though on caffeine} It's -nym! It's -nym! It's pseudonym! Not pseudoname! I can't take it any more! ==Fun Facts==
checkstuffpage

*Homestar's I &#9829; Toxic Waste shirt is a reference to the movie Real Genius.
<!-- The Comic Book Guy reference is currently in STUFF. Please do not add it until the voting has ended. -->

Dialogue questions
Does anyone has an opinion of the dialogue might be in the following lines?

<blockquote>
STRONG BAD: {singing} It's an email, baby. (HERE)
</blockquote>

<blockquote>
BUBSAMECIUM: Certainly! Six tubes (HERE) of coming right up!
</blockquote>

<blockquote>
HOMESTARMECIUM: Oh, (HERE). Um, these are for my twin brother!
</blockquote>

EDIT: Just gotten word it may be Strongbadophage.

It would be great if anyone knew. &mdash; 05:34, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
:Here's one: I'd bet my important object that Bubsamecium is saying "rear-end cream". --DorianGray

:The "Bubsamecium" line sounds like "rear-end cream" to me. Provided the "(HERE)" was put in the right spot up there. Also, I think Baby Strong Sad said "Diapersmith" (as it's the baby Poopsmith and all...) -YK 05:40, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
::Ditto that, YK. I'd further like to add that I think that the Strong Bad virus-looking thing is called "Strongbadophage". That's what I put on Twin Characters. I had to watch it several times to figure that out. --DorianGray
:::Absolutely no clue what the word after "It's an e-mail, baby!" is, though. Sounds like "lunge juice"... that can't be right. -YK 05:44, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
::::Sounds like "love juice" to me... Or "lunch juice". Which are just as weird. --DorianGray

:::::I heard "lunch juice" and thought I was nuts until I saw you guys had similar things.&nbsp;-- Tom 05:52, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
::::::Sigh&mdash;I feel a long and uncivil STUFF (or at least Talk battle) coming on. Currently the article reads "And the email baby loves juice". While this comes the closest to making any sense, it's just not what I hear. My hearing (though I don't assert it as the only possible one) is "It's a e-mail, baby! lunch juice." &mdash;AbdiViklas 15:42, 9 January 2006 (UTC)

Here's another: On first viewing, I heard Baby Strong Bad's line as "I'm pretending I'm playing violent video games!" What's in the article is "better video games"; on closer listening it does sound like that, but is pretty difficult to make out anyway. It could be "vinyl" as far as we can tell! So: "violent" certainly makes more sense. But is it simply for that reason (contextual suggestion) that I "heard" it? &mdash;AbdiViklas 16:02, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
:I heard better on multiple viewings 16:17, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
::i agree with abdiviklas. it's what i heard. plus, we know half of the strong bad email intros don't make sense. Seriously 20:32, 9 January 2006 (UTC)

SOUNDS! 20:33, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
Continuity
This could probably go without saying, but I think we need to consider all of the flashbacks from this toon (and probably the one from flashback, too) to be apocryphal. They just don't jive with established continuity. I think stand-up probably actually happened in their timeline, as well as The Secrets That I Keep. &mdash; It's dot com 05:45, 9 January 2006 (UTC)

:The Muppet Babies-style flashback in particular closely resembles the Muppet Babies show in terms of discontinuity. You have a collection of characters who are of varying ages in the original toon, PLUS other movies in the Muppet series that establish different scenarios of how the characters met each other. I think it's a parody of the Muppet chronology as much as it is Strong Bad's really bad memory.Spell4yr 20:17, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
The whole deal seems pretty simple to me. The first Easter egg sums it up. :The reason I reverted it is that we usually don't note recurrences of strange words or pronunciations. :At first I didn't think about this issue, but I actually agree, Terlet Brush. First of all, when I listened to it again, I detected that Strong Bad and Homestar put unusual emphasis on the word. It's more like "stripe-ed" than "stripèd" (as it's listed). It just doesn't sound quite natural. Also, Strong Bad referred to the bird that flew by at the end of "Huttah" as, "my wingèd friend". I think there is a good case for mentioning Strong Bad's pronunciation of the -ed suffix somewhere, though not necessarily here. The Foreign words section is the closest thing I could find, but it would have to be expanded into a "mispronounced words" section. I think the deciding factor is whether anyone can find an instance of "striped" (or maybe a similar word) pronounced the common way in one of the 'toons or interviews. --Bobo the King 21:12, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

Two Things: Plastic Chicken 04:36, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

a) More specifically, Strong Bad looks like a T-Even bacteriophage. (IIRC the T bacteriophages were numbered in order of discovery and the even ones happened to look alike.)

b) Paramecium are eukaryotes, and therefore reproduce by mitosis (technically, mitosis followed by cytokinesis -- mitosis is only the process of separating the DNA after it has been duplicated. Muscles cells (for example) become multinucleated by lots of mitotic divisions that are NOT followed by splitting the cytoplasm). Binary fission is a different process limited to prokaryotes (bacteria).
:Thanks, P.C.; I'd seen that go back and forth several times. Most recently the explanation was that since Homestarmecium lacked a nucleus he was unable to commit mitosis; now biology is thin ice for me, but I might suppose that the logical conclusion is rather that he's simply an inaccurately-portrayed paramecium. &mdash;AbdiViklas 06:38, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
Preserved for posterity
There were a couple of edits that got reverted; I wanted to save them from oblivion and preserve them here on the talk page, since I at least found them intriguing and noteworthy, if not worthy of inclusion in the article.
*Homestar as the matronly nursery character saying "Now you children skedaddle" is a reference and a hybrid of both Nanny from Muppet Babies and the Mammy-Two-Shoes character from the massively successful series of theatrical short cartoons Tom and Jerry. The costume and dialogue are indicative of Tom's African American owner, who usually wallops the cat with a broom when he misbehaves. "Nanny" was a kind mentor only shown from the waist down.
*The Old Timey Romans Easter Egg may be a reference to "The Roman Holidays", a Hanna-Barbera animated sitcom from the 1970s. Like "The Flintstones" and "The Jetsons", the basic premise was "funny business in another time period".
On the Nanny/Mammy fact, I am pretty sold on its validity, though I'd prefer it rewritten (e.g. "Homestar... (bla bla) wast down... (bla bla) ...characters in many cartoons, most notably Nanny in Muppet Babies and various owners in Tom & Jerry (bla bla)"), preferably a little more streamlined (losing phrases like "massively successful series of theatrical short"). The Muppet Babies connection I see as justified by the overall allusion; the Tom & Jerry connection by the broom and nature of the line (Nanny never had a broom, right?). Note that Mammy was later replaced by the feet of a Caucasian owner, so she wasn't the only one in Tom & Jerry portrayed at that angle. &mdash;AbdiViklas 06:47, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
But for reference, there are two sound effects on Main Page 13 that ARE taken from that game: When you mouse off of the Characters button and Strong Bad disappears (effect is played while the ghosts are under the effect of a power pill), and the "donk!" sound on the Downloads button is the sound played when you eat a dot.

I don't know exactly which games the SFX in this cartoon came from, but I can say with high certainty (with my much-more-photographic-than-Strong-Bad's memory) that they're not Pac Man. :) 17:35, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

Flashback?
Another remark reads:

* In his flashback, Strong Bad recalls Coach Z being up to 2 years older than himself, but in the video Strong Sad showed in stand-up, Coach Z was already an adult when Strong Bad was a little kid.

What flashback? Where did Strong Bad say Coach Z was 2 years older than himself? 17:47, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

Easter egg pic
Why is there a picture of the "doodle memory" Easter egg (shown to the right) actually listed in the Easter egg section? I thought we only did that when the picture was hard to see or went by too fast or the words were hard to click on. This one doesn't seem to meet any of those criteria. &mdash; It's dot com 17:56, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
:I dunno, but I appreciate the chance to see it. It go by too fast for me, anyway. (And no, I didn't upload it. Goes by too fast, remember?) --DorianGray

Really Unphotographic
Something must be seriously wrong with SB's memory. How else could he be Homestar's age in highschool, yet be a baby with Homestar as a nanny? -Marth 99 20:14, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

Tamborine?
I don't hear any of Marzipan's tamborine in the band part. Am I alone? If not, is this a goof? -- 21:41, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

Current User Page= CRAP.
Hello, I'm Theforumveteran,and if you compare my userpage to others, you'll notice it stinks. I am in desperate need for some kind of template for it.-Theforumveteran
:I'm afraid that I don't understand, and probably no one else does either. What excactly do you mean by "template"? If you want to learn about what you can put on your user page, go here. 01:14, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
::I think he means some kind of format that he could use to create a good user page. Well, my user page is full of mostly nonsense, but you could check it out for ideas if you want. Just don't directly copy from it. While there is no official template for user pages, a basic format most users follow is this:
#An Introduction that tells others who you are
#How you were introduced to Homestar Runner
#How you were introduced to the Wiki
#Things you have done to help the Wiki
#Favorite H*R Related Toons, Characters, Quotes, Etc.
#Favorite Non-H*R Related things
#Guestbook for others to sign.

Hope this helps!

01:20, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
:Plus, you can add a lot more. The user page is basiclly all full of stuff you want people to know. Add whatever you want, as long as it's appropriate. (No profanity). 01:24, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
::Hey, thanks guys, I now have a userpage that at least can hold its own. and thanks to you, Bubsty, I used your sig as a template for mine. Thank you all!
:::No problem. I like it! 23:42, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
Hey there everypeoples
Hiya chaps, I'm Bubsty. AKA madmanwithaknife, shmebb, shmebber8, Justatest7, and Bubsters108. *Phew!*
So... take a look around. I strongly suggest checking out my favorites. And this quiz that I made's not bad. And this guestbook is pretty fun. I mean, I signed it.

The Wiki
How this started/my goals
: I found out about this wiki when I was google-ing all the main characters of homestar at school. That was around April or March 2005. So I haven't been here for very long.
:Anyway, I really like the wiki. I love homestar, and I like editing on a computer, so this definately is the place for me. Someday, I hope to be a sysop. But before that ever happens, I need to know a lot more about editing. My stupid computer won't let me upload images yet, which kinda sucks.

What I do
:Some of the things I do do are:
*Patrol the "recent changes" page.
*Catch trolls. (I've caught 7 so far. Not including all my NSMC reverts).
*State my opinion in the "stuff" page.
*Do gnome work.
*Post questions/comments on the talk pages of... pages.
*Constantely upgrade this page.
:I joined the welcoming commitee in July sometime, then quit, and then joined again.
:I've also made a Homestarrunner quiz that you can check it out here. If you get 9 out of 9, and you never guessed or cheated, then... congratulations.

Things I've Done
I use this wiki a lot, and therefore have made many contributions (although not all of them were for the better). Here are some of my favorites:
*I worked on the transcript for the "More Fan Costumes" page. (Not that much, however).
*I started the transcript, and did a lot of it, on Fall Float Parade.
*I worked on the transcript for portrait.
*I had the idea to put the transcript for "The Sun Almost Rises" on the Mellow Mushroom page, and did all of it.
*I worked a lot on the new format of the Secret Pages page.
*I worked on the History page before it was completed.
*I was patrolling recent changes when I noticed someone just replaced a page with ----- STOLE MY COW!! It was the first stage of the NSMC. I was the first to revert a page, and did a lot of reverting. I also won a cool award. (Thanks Abdi)
*I've welcomed 59 people.
*I created Moses MaloneLand, Nuclear Class Submarine "Soccermom", Fat Bluebird, and Outer Space.
*It isn't something I've done, but it's still pretty cool. Finally, after counting every single password reminder e-mail I got, I found out that I hold the record of the most, at 4,992 password reminders. DorianGray came in a close second.
*I currently rank #11 on The most linked to page. And with 11,334 articles, thats pretty good.
**I'm also the 3rd most linked to user. Including sysops.
*Also not something I've done, other users did it. I am pretty sure I have the largest guestbook on the wiki.

2. People who don't sign their posts. (You don't need a link, I just wanna know who I'm talking to! It doesn't matter if you're annonymous).<br>

Hello! my name is theforumveteran, in relation to my previous forum account, which still exists, but that I don't use. I like Stinkoman Sprite Comics a lot and have been an anonymous editor for quite a while. I was introduced to Homestar Runner around 2 years ago, around the time of caper.I found the wiki about 1 year ago, while I was Googling Homestar Runner. I have mostly been a minor editor, not even making a puny subpage.<strike> (even my sig isn't complete!)</strike> As of today, My favorite 'toon is Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon, favorite email is bedtime story, and my all-time favorite quote is STRONG BAD: And if all that doesn't work, we call out the big guns: 2 or 3 roach foggers!Some things completely non-H*R related that I still think are just as cool are some books like Batman:Year one, The Amulet of Samarkand, and The whole Artemis fowl series.
And of course for those of you who stumbled upon my page, sign this guestbook:
