So I guess this is where I prove that I carved the Scary Bubs' Conces5ion Stand punkin.
Well, here's a link to my [http://www.flickr.com/photos/grumblepuff/4114275066/ flickr page] showing several photos of it. Browsing my photostream will also reveal the rotten Homestar punkin seen in the toon. That was carved by my girlfriend's boy, Zacharia. We're both very proud to have made it into [[Punkin_Show|the show]]. Also pictured, my Dangeresque punkin which didn't make the grade.

''{Opens to a silhouette of Homestar Runner sitting at a table with a coffee mug}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Don't look now kids, it's everyone's favorite knock-kneed weightlifter, Homestar Runner!"

''{Music and applause; scene zooms out and is lit.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Thanks silhouette! Today's letter comes from Chuck from Rochester. ''{reads}''

Hello, Homestar<br>
Can you tell me if there is<br>
some kind of Homestar<br>
Runner Center or Homestar<br>
Runner International Center<br>
for Cultural Advancement or<br>
something like that that I<br>
could bring my students to<br>
for a field trip?<br>
<br>
Chuck, Rochester

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Oh yes, most definitely, Doctor! ''{Cut to a black and white photo of a brick building}'' Established in 1994, the Homestar Runner "Bachieve to Alieve" foundition, commonly known as, ''{Scene zooms out to reveal the scene in a picture on an orange dresser''} this drawer, ''{fanfare}'' this drawer, ''{fanfare}'' this drawer! Would make an excellent field, road, or head trip for you and your studentia. Is that the plural of student, studentia? Anyway, lets see what the foundache has to offer!

''{Homestar opens drawer and reveals a dank inside with a half brown, half yellow crayon}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Ooh! Smell all that culture and education! First up on our tour, is this brellow crown! ''{Holds up the crayon}'' and what a rich history it has! It dates all the way back to this one time. Arturo, if you please!

''{Cut to a microfiche reader sitting on the desk}''

'''ARTURO:''' Coming right up, Mr. Runner! ''{Scene of Homestar walking to Bubs' Concession Stand comes on screen, zooms in to video}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Oh, I sure love my brown crown!

''{Cut to Strong Sad walking the other way, holding a yellow crayon}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' Oh yellow crayon, only you know what really happened!

''{Cut to Bubs at the concession stand holding a wrench}''

'''BUBS:''' Dangit, purple wrench!

''{Concession stand moves up and down}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' Oh!

'''BUBS:''' Alright young lovers! Knock it off back there!

''{Cut back to Homestar at the drawer}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' My brellow crown is instrumental in the drawing of buttered toast, ''{Holds up a picture with a drawing of toast on it}'', not quite hornets, ''{Holds up a picture of a brown and yellow "zornet"}'', and the sun, with a 'fro. ''{Holds up a picture of the sun with a brown afro}'' Next item up for tour, is my collection of old homestars! ''{cut back to drawer}'' They provide a unique cross section of my many facets! ''{holds up a star-shaped cotton ball}'' Roundy here, is from back when I was known as the popcorn lumper! ''{holds a glittery golden star}'' This one's from my brief stint as supreme emperor! Of... Marzipan's... rhinestone jazzler. ''{holds up a crusty paper star}'' And you won't believe why I had to replace this old guy! Talk about cultural! That mess was like, four score!

''{Cut to Homestar from the colonial days, with a powdered wig and writing on a desk with a quill pen. He's wearing the tattered paper star, which is still just as tattered as in the previous scene, but lacking the stain.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' And with that, I am done tickling my face! ''{Pulls out a sloppy joe burger}'' Mhm! Sloppy Joseph! ''{takes a bit out of it, some spills on his star}'' Aw, crap!

''{Cut back to Homestar Runner at the drawer}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Last up on the tour, is this photo of Marzipan and I, on a honeymoon! ''{Pulls out a photo of Homestar and Marzipan on a beach, with a coupon for an oil filter taped above Marzipan}'' Not ours! I think it was some couple from Canadas! Or, Cancun... nada. Ah, we were young and in every 3,000 miles back then!

''{Cut back to Homestar's desk, Homestar walks and sits down}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' So bring the kids all down, Chuck! Nothing like a little educache at the foundache! It's the best I could do on short notice. Unless you want to wait until 2012, When Homestar Dinoland will finally be complete!

''{Cut to a postcard from Homestar Dinoland}''

'''NARRATOR:''' Homestar Dinoland opening July 2012. Actual attraction may just be a nightstand.

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER DINOSAUR:''' A whaaaaaaat?

'''NARRATOR:''' ''{Hastily}'' I-I mean a drawer.

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER NARRATOR:''' A whaat?

'''NARRATOR:''' I mean, a dwaw.

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER DINOSAUR:''' ''{Angrily}'' A WHAT?

'''NARRATOR:''' ''{Exasperated}'' Huhhh... a dweeoooowwwww.

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER DINOSAUR:''' That's better!
'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{singing}'' Green green grass... Pleasant ghost... Strong Bad Email, make us some toast! ''{brings up the email}''

<blockquote class="lappy email">
<div>subject: Sbemail Fan Club?</div>
Does your e-mail show have it<nowiki>''</nowiki>s own fan club? Whose the<br>
president of it? And what do they do?<br>
Best regards,<br>
David, Northern Ireland.<br>
</blockquote>
''{Strong Bad stutters the word "it<nowiki>''</nowiki>s" a little, and pronounces "whose" as spelled (with an S sound).}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' Ah, fan clubs. Sweet, innocent, restraining order-inducing fan clubs. Don't get me wrong, fans are great. It's the addition of 'club' that totally roons it. ''{clears the screen}'' Which is the opposite of how it usually works. For instance: turkey = ''{the word is typed in a dull brown colour; other voices accompany him}'' mrenh, turkey club = ''{the word appears in a rainbow of colours}'' mmmMMRENHhhhh! ''{the other voices cheer "Yay!"}'' But yes, there is a sbemail fan club. Its members call themselves 'Deleteheads' and in a chocolate-covered bit of Stockholm syndrome-esque irony, their president is brother Strong Sad!

''{cut to Strong Sad standing at a table in his room. He is wearing a hat styled after a computer's delete key, which reads "Del" on it}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' ''{singing}'' Popa-ulation: Tiii-iii-iiire! ''{sits, producing [[the Geddup Noise]]}'' All right, deleteheads. It's been a big week for the fan club.

''{cut to Strong Mad, The Cheat, and the Cinderblock sitting across from him, all wearing the same delete key hat}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' We finally switched over our web hosting from Geofire ''{cut back to Strong Sad}'' to Angelcities.

''{screen of the Deleteheads website, called "The Delete-Heads Website", pops up. There is a pixelated picture of Strong Bad dancing, as well as links to "Our friend Scott's website".}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' And they've upgraded all of our dead links to hyperlinks!

''{the website screen drops off again, showing Strong Sad once more}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' We also had several interesting discussions in the ongoing debate series "Non Sequitur Champion: Cardgage or Homsar".

''{scene cuts to one of the following, chosen at random:}''

*'''SENOR CARDGAGE:''' ''{standing next to a bag}'' Gardenias, monteljohn. Can you detect me to the nearest bus stamp?

*'''HOMSAR:''' ''{wearing a computer key hat that reads "Thump"}'' My name's Millions, and I'm the son of a chipwich!

''{cut back to Strong Sad}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' ...Well, debate's over! Oh, and I just received confirmation today that Abdi LaRue, ''{scene switches to the view of Strong Mad and The Cheat}'' sender of the first Strong Bad Email, ''{Strong Mad grins}'' is a lock for this year's FHQWHfest.

''{the flier for "FHQWHfest '08" appears}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' And there's a rumour going around that Stro Bro himself might show up to sign autographs!

''{Strong Bad waks by, seen through the doorway, carrying an overly-long submarine sandwich. The sandwich continues to go by the doorway after Strong Bad's line}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Yeah... I'm not coming.

'''STRONG SAD:''' Don't forget to bombard Strong Bad with emails on Sunday night. ''{thumps fist for emphasis}'' I think we should go with asking about Bubs's first wife. Some good potential there. ''{at this point, The Cheat can be seen through the doorway, carrying the end of Strong Bad's sandwich}'' She was a real firebrand, that one!

''{cut back to the Lappy}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' So that's fan ''clubs'', the next worst word you can couple with the word 'fan' is, you guessed it, ''{ominous, eerie music plays}'' the word ''{Strong Bad's voice distorts, and the camera zooms in on the word as he types it}'' 'fiction.'

''{cut to a sheet of paper. The words appear typed on the paper as Strong Sad says them}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' ''{voice-over}'' A Grade A Gray Day, a sbemail fanfic by S.Sad

''{pan down to show the Lappy from the back. Strong Sad's words appear above the scene now}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' ''{voice-over}'' The Lappy hummed quietly to itself.

''{the scene changes to show Strong Bad rubbing his chin and puzzling over the Lappy. Strong Bad mouths the dialogue Strong Sad gives him.}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' ''{voice-over}'' "Curious," said Strong Bad, "Very curious indeed."

'''STRONG BAD:''' Since that's totally the way I talk.

''{cut to a shot of the Lappy's screen, showing the message "Your inbox has 0 new messages".}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' ''{voice-over}'' His inbox flickered "0 new messages" back at him.

''{cut back to a long shot of Strong Bad and the Lappy, with empty space on the left side}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Oh, this is definitely fiction.

''{Homestar walks in, also mouthing the dialogue Strong Sad narrates. After the word "striding", the words no longer appear at the top of the scene.}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' ''{voice-over}'' "Ahoy, Strong Bad," said Homestar Runner striding casually into the room. "You'll never have to answer another email again!" "Grandiose," replied Strong Bad, eyelids lowered. ''{Strong Bad lowers his eyelids}'' "What did you do this time?"

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Hey, Strong Bad. Check out my Strong Sad impression. Ahem.

'''STRONG SAD:''' "I turned them all over to Twelve-Times-A-Day Man!"

''{Twelve-Times-A-Day Man, who is Strong Sad dressed in a yellow mask and cape, with a logo reading "12X" on his chest, flies down from the top of the screen and lands behind Homestar}''

'''TWELVE-TIMES-A-DAY MAN:''' I can do it! I can do it twelve times!

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Hey, Strong Sad.

''{cut to Strong Bad}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Twelve-Times-A-Day Man? You can't just start making up terrible new characters!

'''STRONG SAD:''' ''{voice-over}'' ...he said, putting on a bonnet, ''{a bonnet appears on Strong Bad's head}'' and giving Homestar a deep-tissue massage. ''{the Lappy flies up out of Strong Bad's way, as he raises his arms and approaches Homestar unwillingly}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Wah! No!!

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Oh, this gon' be good! ''{turns away so Strong Bad can rub his back}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' That's it. Two can play at this extremely nerdy game!

''{a piece of notebook paper comes down instead. His words also appear as he says them, while dialogue appears in word balloons}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voice-over}'' INTO the MORONOSPHERE!! A deleteheads fan ''fiction'', ''{the following does not appear}'' because I have plenty of time to say both syllables. By Strong Bad.

''{cut to a rough drawing of Strong Sad sitting at a table, with a poorly drawn The Cheat and an angry rectangle}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voice-over, speaking as Strong Sad}'' "And that's why I like ALL them Star Tracks!" ''{normal voice}'' ...said Strong Sad, an entire bag of Twizzlers falling out of his mouth.

'''STRONG SAD:''' Hey! You know I can't eat Twizzlérs!

''{cut to a drawing of Strong Sad being menaced by a long sandwich with eyes and fangs}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voice-over}'' Suddenly, an eight-foot sandwich constricter eng...sm...sploded out of nowhere! ''{the caption "engsmsplode!" is added to the drawing, with a burst around the sandwich constrictor for emphasis}''

''{cut to Strong Sad, who is very poorly drawn}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' You can't just start making up terrible new words!

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voice-over}'' ...whined Strong Sad, already up to his waist&mdash;

''{scene changes to a picture of the sandwich constrictor partially wrapped around Strong Sad}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voice-over}'' &mdash;in braided hoagie roll.

'''STRONG SAD:''' Okay, okay! I'll go easy on the fan fic!

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voice-over}'' Just then,&mdash;

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{singing}'' I'm doin' a party, I'm makin' it happen, on Strong Bad Email.
<blockquote class="lappy email">
<div>subject: the cheat</div>
Dear Strong bad,<br>
For a long time i've been wondering... How far can you<br>
throw the cheat? If you don't want to do that, could you<br>
beat the crud out of homestar for no reason?<br>
<br>
Lewis Rudkin<br>
Essex, England.
</blockquote>
''{Strong Bad reads Essex as 'S X'}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' Y'know, it's funny how this always seems to work out, Rudkin... ''{clears screen}'' but those just happen to be the first two events in the Strong Badathlon!

''{cuts to Strong Badathlon logo}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' Unfortunately, they also happen to be my worst two events. The Cheat Chuck is consistently dominated by the Kenyans. I mean the Poopsmith. Ever since he devised the Whatsitburied Slop

''{As he says this, it cuts to the Poopsmith next to a pile of whatsit, and then continues to fling The Cheat out of the pile.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ...that guy's unbeatable!

'''THE CHEAT:''' ''{Cheat noises as he flies through the air}''

'''COACH Z:''' Holy gorsh! It looks like a new record!

''{Cuts to Homsar and Marzipan sitting at a table having tea}''

'''MARZIPAN:''' And that's why I believe the DNA evidence had been tampered with.

''{The Cheat flies onto the table, causing whatsit to fly all over the place.}''

'''HOMSAR:''' Well, hello, chocolate cake!

''{Cuts to results board of the Strong Badathlon}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voiceover}'' Greco-Roman Homestar Crud-Out-of-Beating is another event you'd think I'd be the best at. But the reigning champion seems to have intimate knowledge of Homestar's weak points.

''{As he speaks, it cuts to Homestar walking onto the screen with a sweat band and outfit on.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{punches himself in the stomach}'' Come on you little so and so. ''{slaps himself in the face, then punches himself in the stomach}'' Is that all you got? ''{punches himself in the side then the face}'' Oh yeah? Oh yeah? You think you got it like that? ''{punches himself 3 times}'' Whaddya think this is, you little place mat? ''{gets hit once}'' A diaper show? ''{gets hit once more}'' It's not a diaper show. ''{gets hit again}'' I think that's pretty obvious.

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' Man, man, we should start putting those Homestar Vs. Homestar fights on pay-per-view. Instant classics! And speaking of pay-per-view,

''{Cuts to Strong Bad sitting in the Basement, with a 'Remote Put' graphic in the upper left hand corner.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voice over}'' Next up is the Remote Put.

''{Cuts to the TV with a 'Ready?' graphic on the screen.}''

'''ANNOUNCER:''' ''{voice over, reading text that appears on screen}'' Cute little girl from sit-com sings patriotic song.

'''STRONG BAD:''' Argh, I freakin' hate that little kid! Why'd they ever bring her on the show?! ''{throws remote}'' Agh!

''{Graphic comes on screen, accompanied with a buzzer noise, graphic reads 'DISQUALIFICATION! BATTERY FAULT!}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' What? These games are fixed! Check the East German's pants! Check the--

''{Cuts to results screen}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voice over}'' Our coverage of the 2007 Strong Badathlon continues with the Clean and Jerk... Strong Mad's Underwears... Over His Head. Fortunately, you don't really have to clean them.

''{Cuts to Strong Bad and Coach Z standing behind Strong Mad, whose underwear is sticking out of his singlet, with a ruler against his back.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Uhh, are you trying to tell me that this man doesn't already have a wedgie of illegal proportions?

'''COACH Z:''' Nope, that's the regulation starting point.

'''STRONG BAD:''' That's it, I'm boycotting these games.

'''STRONG MAD:''' THANK THE LORD!!

''{Cuts to results screen}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{voice over}'' And finally, my strongest event, ''{graphic appears, and adds new picture with each word}'' Probably Something with Guitars, lasers, Robots, and Hot Girls.

''{Cuts to Powered By The Cheat cartoon of Strong Bad with laser arms, and robots walking in the background.}}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{laser noises, shoots robots}'' Hey, wait, look Iconic I got I won the Good medal.

''{Cuts to a Powered By The Cheat version of The Cheat playing the guitar. The word 'Streisand' appears across the screen as someone says it.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' And after all the medals have been given to the wrong athletes, we come to the ending closimonies, celebrating poor sportsmanship, drug testing, and good ol' fashioned people twirling ribbons.

''{Cuts to Strong Sad and Marzipan twirling ribbons on a stage.}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' ''{singing}'' Togetherness.

'''MARZIPAN:''' ''{singing}'' Togetherness.

'''MARZIPAN AND STRONG SAD:''' ''{singing}'' Encircling the World.

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{singing and dancing}'' Just take those old glasses off the shelf...

''{Fireworks go off in the background, then a cut to Strong Bad sitting at the Lappy.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' ''{typing}'' There you have it, Rudkin Shampoo. Someteen Days of Glory! And after the closimonies, most BadAthletes immediately begin filming product endorsements while their names are still fresh in our minds.

''{Cuts to Strong Bad sitting in a kitchen with a box of cereal and a bowl.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Whoa, wipe my brow. Winning gold medals takes a lot of hard cereal, and dedication. That's why I eat ''{hold up box}'' Temporarios! The official cereal of athletes you won't remember in two weeks! ''{cuts to a shot of the box and bowl of cereal with two gold medals hanging off the side of it}'' Temporarios, ''{speech bubble comes out of box}'' "Cause I'm Don't Get Paid!"

''{[[The Paper]] comes down.}''

==Fun Facts==
{{checkstuffpage}}

===Explanations===
*East Germany, or the [[Wikipedia:German Democratic Republic|German Democratic Republic]], was a socialist state that existed prior to the fall of the [[Wikipedia:Berlin Wall|Berlin Wall]] and dominated several Olympic events, in part because of their athletes' prolific use of [[Wikipedia:Steroids|steroids]].
*Olympic athletes often rely on product endorsements for income due to [[Wikipedia:Olympic Games#Amateurism and professionalism|Olympic amateurism regulations]].

===Trivia===
*For a split second, before The Paper comes down, you can see the words "Side Words" on the side of the Temporarios box.

===Goofs===
* Strong Bad's arm disappears briefly when he wipes the sweat off his forehead.

===Fixed Goofs===
[[Image:Temporarios.png|thumb|"Cuz I'm don't get paid!]]
*The [[Mottos and Slogans|slogan]] for Temporarios cereal, "Cuz I'm don't get paid!" was missing the closing set of quotation marks (see right); this was quickly [[:Image:Temporarios fixed.png|corrected]].

===Inside References===
*Cableman Jorge was Strong Bad's alias in [[Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 9.2]].
*"Someteen days of glory!" is a reference to [[Teen Girl Squad Issue 10]], where [[The Ugly One]] has a "Sweet Someteen Birthday".
*Strong Bad's endorsement of [[Minor Foods#Temporarios|Temporarios]] [[Breakfast Cereal|breakfast cereal]] is a reference to his endorsement of [[Schenectady Crispies]] in [[labor day]].
*Guitars and lasers is possibly a reference to [[new hands]], where, near the end, Strong Bad laments not having chosen guitars and laser guns as possible prosthetics.

===Real-World References===
*The "Greco-Roman Homestar Crud-Out-of-Beating" event takes its name from [[Wikipedia:Greco-Roman wrestling|Greco-Roman wrestling]], one of the three styles of wrestling contested in the [[Wikipedia:Olympic Games|Olympic Games]].
*The song Homestar starts to sing during the "ending closimonies" is sung to the tune of the song "[[Wikipedia:Old Time Rock and Roll|Old Time Rock and Roll]]" by [[Wikipedia:Bob Seger|Bob Seger]]. He replaces the word "glasses" for "records" in the song, referencing a commercial from the 1980's for the Hardees fast food franchise's collectible set of Alvin and the Chipmunks glasses. The song lyrics were changed in this commercial (and sung by The Chipmunks) to "Just take those old glasses off the shelf / Get down to Hardees and help yourself / Those other glasses ain't got the same class / I want an Alvin and the Chipmunks glass"
*"Rudkin Shampoo" is a reference to the actual brand "Redken Shampoo".
*The half-circles and circle on the corner of the Strond Badathlon logo resemble those of the [[wikipedia:CBC|Canadian Broadcasting Corporation]] logo. <!-- Usable or not? -->
Strong Bad sleeps on [[The Couch|the couch]], as shown in the emails "[[cheatday]]", "[[other days]]", "[[morning routine]]" and in the short "[[The Lil' Brudder Show]]". There must be two ways into the basement, as characters have been seen entering from both sides of the room. The basement has drop ceiling and fluorescent lighting (as shown in [[couch patch]] and [[Strong Mad#Character Video Transcript|Strong Mad's Character Video]]).

[[The Brothers Chaps]]' office, shown in [[Making of Email 100]], has the walls painted with the same design as Strong Bad's basement.
Strong Badia's Seven Elemental Spirits

Unmutual: /* A hand giving the "OK" symbol */ - Awexome Cross

[[Image:7ElementalSpirits.PNG|right|270px|thumb|The seven elemental spirits]]
In the [[Strong Bad Email]] [[myths & legends]], [[Strong Bad]] revealed the '''Seven Elemental Spirits of Strong Badia''', seen as constellations in the starry night sky. Many of these are important elements in [[Strong Badia|Strong Badian]] [[Strong Bad Lore|history]].

==The Spirits==
===Snake===
Not much is known about the snake, except that it evolved into the [[flag day|Strong Badia national flag]].

===A Guy Holding A Big Knife===
A guy holding a [[Big Knives|big knife]] is a recurring theme in [[Homestar Runner (flash cartoon)|The Homestar Runner Universe]], mainly with its appearance with Strong Badia. It's obviously a main element of Strong Badia. It evolved into [[Painting of a guy with a big knife]].

===Chinese takeout box===
The box of Chinese food has made several appearances important to Strong Badia, including being mistaken for a [[ghosts|ghost]], and becoming a mascot for [[Strong Bad's Mount RidesPlace USA]]. It evolved into [[General Tso's Chicken]].

===A piece of wood with some nails in it===
A piece of wood with some nails in it became what now holds up the Strong Badia national flag, shown in the Strong Bad Email [[flag day]].

===A hand giving the "OK" symbol===
Yet to make an appearance in Strong Badia though the [[Videlectrix]] guy gives the "OK" symbol after being run over at the beginning of [[Awexome_Cross]].

===A fish wearing an afro wig ''and'' A British distance runner===
The pair are very well known as the [[Bear holding a Shark]], which it had evolved into. They had battled the other elemental spirits in paintball, or maybe Red Rover. They came out victorious.

'''BUBS:''' Well, hello, Marzi-person! Welcome back.

'''MARZIPAN:''' Well, howdy, stranger!

'''BUBS:''' Stranger? I'm Bubs, remember?

'''MARZIPAN:''' ''{unimpressed}'' Uh, I know. It's a joke.

'''BUBS:''' That's hilarious. How was your vacation?

'''MARZIPAN:''' It was tout de suite! I took the Cool Tapes on a midwestern tour ''{the tour map pops up}'' of bead shops and topiary gardens.

''{Cut to a topiary garden; Marzipan, Strong Mad and The Cheat are playing in the band}''

'''MARZIPAN:''' ''{singing}''
:Cool tapes are cool, and we're better than ever,
:Cool tapes are cool, 'cause we're light as a feather.
:Keep it down with that real cool flavor,
:Me and The Cheat and our bass player.
:Rockin' the spot.
:Yeah, we're rockin' the spot.

'''MARZIPAN:''' Thanks, jah! And don't forget we've got cool 7-inches for sale over at our merch table.

''{Cut to the merchandise table. Homsar is standing on it, it has a sign reading "Merch Masala" and another reading "Steven Inches $<span style="font: italic 120% serif">&pi;</span>"}''

'''HOMSAR:''' I'm a little light in the leftovers!

''{Homsar's hat flies off the left of the screen, and comes back on from the right and settles on his head. Cut back to Bubs and Marzipan at the coffee table.}''

'''BUBS:''' I bet you drove the shape-ed plants wild.

'''MARZIPAN:''' Yeah, they were way into it. So what did you do?

'''BUBS:''' I drove my baloney sandwich truck down to the beach.

''{Cut to the tropical island. Bubs's "Baloney Sammich Truck", which resembles an ice-cream truck, doesn't quite fit, and the rear wheels are in the water.}''

'''BUBS:''' Baloney! Come on, people! Come on, palm tree! I'm-tryingtosellabaloneysammich!

''{An Atari seagull flies past.}''

'''BUBS:''' You shut your face!

''{Cut back to the coffee table.}''

'''BUBS:''' I sold exactly zero baloney sandwiches!

'''MARZIPAN:''' Well that's great!

'''BUBS:''' Yeah, it was pretty much my best summer ever.

'''STRONG SAD:''' ''{walks in}'' Same here. I spent two glorious weeks at Gluten Camp. I learned more about this oft-misunderstood plant protein than I ever thought possible.

'''THE KING OF TOWN:''' What''eva!'' ''{puts a time card in the time clock}'' I was across the lake at Glutton Camp. And we challenged those pansies to an obstacle course!

''{Cut to the obstacle course, pan across to see Strong Sad and the King of Town stuck in two tire swings.}''

'''STRONG SAD:''' Well, should we call it a draw?

'''THE KING OF TOWN:''' Hecks no! I got stuck in here 10 minutes before you!

''{Pan across to Coach Z.}''

'''COACH Z:''' Let's go, Glorten Camp! Glorten Camp is pain and scranin' on yous!

'''STRONG BAD:''' Oh yeah? Well while you slo-mos were slounching around on your haunchy laurels, I was checking the most amazing email of my career!

''{Cut through static to Strong Bad, holding the Lappy, on a plane. Screen markers and a recording light are visible, as though viewed through a camcorder. Strong Bad leans in and adjusts the focus.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' All right, Lappy, when I mash record on that camera, we're gonna perform the world's first death-defying midair SBEmail check! We'll make the cover of all the latest blogs! Now, are you psyched?! I'm psyched, are you psyched?!? OK, 3! 2! 1!

''{Strong Bad leans in and presses a button on the camera. Cut through static to Strong Bad standing on the ground. The camera drops to the ground and slowly falls over.}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Oh, the believing is hard to be doing, because that was so incredible! We met so many celebrities in midair! And the part with the ''Narwhal'' ''{said "Nar-wayel"}'' was ''so'' illegal.

''{Cut through static to Strong Bad, back at the coffee table}''

'''STRONG BAD:''' Oh, cuh-rap! What am I, your dad? I can't believe I pulled the old "mash Stop when you think you're mashing Record and mash Record when you think you're mashing Stop" routine on myself.

'''MARZIPAN:''' But if we've all been on vacation, who's been taking care of the website?

''{Homestar Runner walks in, tired, wearing a dressing gown, a nightcap and [[Nebulon]] slippers, with a cinnamon 5 o'clock shadow.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{yawns}'' What's up, my brothers? Let no one say the Homestar Runner don't know how to nap. What is it, like mid-May or something?

'''STRONG BAD:''' Uh, try "early July."

''{Zoom in.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Aah! I slept through June!

'''STRONG BAD:''' Yup.

''{Zoom in even tighter.}''

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Aah! Bet Agatha Christie would never sleep through June... neither would Angela Lansbury.

'''STRONG BAD:''' Aren't they the same person?

'''BUBS:''' Yeah.

'''KING OF TOWN:''' Yep.

'''MARZIPAN:''' I think they are.

'''STRONG SAD:''' Yes, they definitely are.

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Well, it's settled then. Now, what's this I hear about some of you guys sleeping through June? I'll let it slide this time, but June-sleepers will not be tolerated from this day henceforth. Now, whose turn was it to bring the doughnuts?

'''EVERYONE:''' Yours.

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' Well, I'll let it slide this time, but doughnut-rememberers will do-not be tolerated from now on. All right, everybody, everybody. It's time to get this www-dot-show back on the road-dot-com. Now, places! And...

''{Cut to everyone standing in front of a plain blue background. The words "everybody, everybody" appear in front of them. The music from the Intro page plays.}''

'''SINGERS:''' Everybody, everybody! Everybody, everybody! Everybody, everybody! Everybody, everybody!

* In Homsar's scene, click on the "Steven Inches" sign to see a "The Freewheelin' Eh, Steve" album cover. On the bottom it lists the songs ''Sweet Cups and Cakes'' by Wheelchair Man, ''Eh, Steve's Dream'' by Eh, Steve!, and ''Talkin' Trying to Catch a Worm Blues'' by Fresh Juice.
* When the King of Town first appears, click on his crown to see his "I'm with Glutton Camp" T-shirt.
* Click on the left "everybody" at the end of the toon to see what Pom Pom and The Poopsmith presumably did during their summer vacation.
:''{Pom Pom and the Poopsmith are both leaning on the palm tree on the deserted island. They are both wearing sunglasses. After a few moments, a thought cloud appears and reveals that Pom Pom is thinking of a baloney (or bologna) sandwich. Another one appears shortly afterwards and shows that the Poopsmith is too.}''

==Fun Facts==
{{checkstuffpage}}

===Explanations===
*This toon refers to the real-life vacation that [[The Brothers Chaps]] took in the late spring/early summer of 2006, during which time the site went nearly seven weeks (48 days) without a major update (there were various minor updates during this period, but no toons).
*The Baloney Truck is a spoof on the [[wikipedia:Ice_cream_truck|Ice Cream Truck/Van]], which is popular in some parts of the world.
*[[Wikipedia:Agatha Christie|Agatha Christie]] and [[Wikipedia:Angela Lansbury|Angela Lansbury]] are, in fact, not the same person. Christie was an English crime fiction writer and Lansbury is a English-born American actress most famous for her role (as a crime fiction author) on [[Wikipedia:Murder, She Wrote|Murder, She Wrote]]. Lansbury however did play Christie's fictional sleuth [[Wikipedia:Miss Marple|Miss Marple]] in the movie adaptation of Christie's [[Wikipedia:The Mirror Crack'd|The Mirror Crack'd]].

===Trivia===
===Remarks===
*Coach Z's line about "Glorten" Camp echoes a similar line from him in [[mascot]]. There, he refers to the same entity in two different ways, and here, he refers to two different entities in the same way.
''{A closeup of a time clock attached to a telephone pole. A time card is punched in. The words "Weclome Back" are shown, and flash various colors. Pull out to see Bubs holding a cup of coffee, in front of a table with styrofoam cups and an urn, in the Field. Marzipan enters and also punches in.}''

==Fun Facts==
{{checkstuffpage}}

===Explanations===

'''BUBS:''' Well, hello, Marzi-person! Welcome back.

'''MARZIPAN:''' Well howdy, stranger!

'''BUBS:''' Stranger? I'm Bubs, remember?

'''MARZIPAN:''' ''{unimpressed}'' Uh, I know. It's a joke.

'''BUBS:''' That's hilarious. How was your vacation?

'''MARZIPAN:''' It was toot-sweet!

'''MARZIPAN:''' Well that's great.

'''COACH Z:''' Lets go, Glorten Camp!

'''STRONG BAD:''' Oh, the believing is hard to be doing, because that was so incredible. We met so many celebrities in midair.

'''HOMESTAR RUNNER:''' ''{yawns}'' What's up my brothers?

==Easter Eggs==
After a few moments, a thought cloud appears and reveals that Pom Pom is thinking of bologna. Another one appears shortly afterwards and shows that the Poopsmith is too.}''

==Fun Facts==
===Explanations===
*This toon refers to the real-life vacation that [[The Brothers Chaps]] took in the late spring/early summer of 2006, during which time the site went nearly seven weeks (48 days) without a major update (there were various minor updates during this period, but no toons).
*The Bologna Truck is a spoof on the [[wikipedia:Ice_cream_truck|Ice Cream Truck/Van]], which is popular in some parts of the world.
*[[Wikipedia:Agatha Christie|Agatha Christie]] and [[Wikipedia:Angela Lansbury|Angela Lansbury]] are in fact not the same person. Christie was an English crime fiction writer and Lansbury is a English-born American actress most famous for her role on [[Wikipedia:Murder, She Wrote|Murder, She Wrote]]. However, Lansbury did play Christie's fictional sleuth [[Wikipedia:Miss Marple|Miss Marple]] in the movie adaptaion of Christie's [[Wikipedia:The Mirror Crack'd|The Mirror Crack'd]].

===Trivia===
*The time card reads:
{| style="border-collapse: collapse; text-align: center; font-face: monospace"
|- style="border: 3px solid #F9C; font: bold 100% sans-serif"
|- style="border: 3px solid #F9C"
| style="border-right: 10px double #F9C " | 7:45 || 6:21
|}
*The Cool Tapes tour goes through East Westerburg, Beadsburg, Bead Store City, Sculpted Busheton, New Beadshop, Topiarianapolis, Beeeeeds and Tope Gardens. Other towns on the map are Northtime, Pantsburg, Shoigut, Thuxtable and The Slickster.
*There are trees in the topiary garden shaped as an ice-cream cone, [[Trogdor]], a tree stump, and [[Wikipedia:William Shakespeare|William Shakespeare]].
*According to the sign on the side of Bubs's truck, he's selling:
**"Gumball surprise"&mdash;A baloney sandwich with a purple gumball on top.
**"Open Smiley Face"&mdash;An open baloney sandwich with a smiley face drawn on it in mustard.
**"I Heart Baloney"&mdash;A baloney sandwich with heart-shaped bread.
**"Dog Food"&mdash;A baloney sandwich with bone-shaped bread.
**"It's Not a Real Popsicle"&mdash;A baloney sandwich with popsicle-shaped bread.
**"Inside Out"&mdash;A piece of bread between two slices of baloney.

===Remarks===
*Coach Z's line about "Glorten" Camp echoes a similar line from him in [[mascot]]. There, he refers to the same entity in two different ways, and here, he refers to two different entities in the same way.
*When Marzipan says "toot sweet", she is actually misusing the French phrase "tout de suite" (which, when prononced rapidly, is said "tout'suite"), which roughly translates to "immediately".

===Inside References===
*When Strong Bad says "I can't believe I pulled the "Mash stop when you think you're mashing record, and mash record when you think you're mashing stop on myself" is a reference to [[Mashing_Go|mashing go/play on something]]
*The Atari seagull is from [[huttah!]]
*Marzipan's [[Cool Tapes]] band comes from [[Cool Things]].
*The toon's title includes [[Unusual Greetings#Weclome|Weclome]].
* Homestar appears to be wearing [[Nebulon]] slippers
* Bubs' "Baloney Sammich Truck" has a [[Marshie]] look-alike baloney on the top.
* Bubs pronounces "shaped plants" the same way Strong Bad and Teenage Homestar pronounced "striped pants" in [[highschool]].
*One of the places the Cool Tapes band visits is East Westerburg. Westerberg (spelled slightly differently) was visited in [[Thy Dungeonman 3]], and it was to the east of the player's starting location.

===Real-World References===
*The design of the Cool Tapes Marzipan amps are based on the design of the classic Marshall amp.
*A Vlog is a Video Blog, made popular by Youtube.com, a short video of the host sharing a part of their lives.
*The page title references the theme song from the sitcom ''[[Wikipedia:Welcome Back, Kotter|Welcome Back, Kotter]]'' ("Welcome back / Your dreams were your ticket out...").
*Athletic competitions between summer camps occupying the same campground are common in family movies and cartoons.
*The "Freewheelin' Eh Steve" album cover is a reference to Bob Dylan's early album, "Freewheelin' Bob Dylan."
*The Eh Steve song "Sweet Cups and Cakes" is likely a ''[[IMDB:tt0088258|This Is Spinal Tap]]'' reference as well, since "Cups and Cakes" is the name of a Spinal Tap song.
'''Groupulon 5''' is the setting of the failed pilot episode of the [[Limozeen]] [[best thing|Saturday morning cartoon]] show. It aired once some forgotten Saturday at around 4 AM. If [[Strong Bad]] hadn't had "[[The Cheat|The-Cheat]]-like" VHS skills, it would have "been as lost as four-armed grimace". It is home to all the hot Babelians of the galaxy, and [[Limozeen]] goes there to find groupies who are willing to have their midriffs signed.
(I sound weird...) --[[User:MrsCommanderson|MrsCommanderson]] 22:42, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
:No, it's not a mistake. It is They Might Be Giants. It is hard to understand though. The Chapos and some of the members are on the phone, and then another guy you can here perfectly. So, it is correct.--{{User:bkmlb/sig}} 22:46, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
:::-Edit conflict- It's on Ballad. Experimental Film has two commentaries: one from the website, and another one similar but different (I just said "similar but different"!). Ballad of The Sneak has two commentaries. They will be very hard to transcribe because they are on the phone and there are always 50 guys talking at once.
