About Me
subject: Who the heck?Dear Strong Bad,
your pal, fhqwghads
Who the heck is this KieferSkunk guy?
Hi there! My name is KieferSkunk. I am a software development engineer in test (SDET) at Microsoft, and I am also a fan of homestarrunner.com. If you're curious to see more about me, check out my website and my LiveJournal.
I live in the Seattle area, and as of today (10/26/05), I am just months away from being married to the most wonderful woman in the world. :)
What Am I Doing Here?
subject: How'd you get here?Dear KieferSkunk,
Okay, so now that I know who you are,
tell me what the crap you're doing here.
So totally not your pal,
Strong Bad
How I found Homestar Runner
Well, see, I used to participate actively in a forum dedicated to DDR and other music-oriented games, and one day a random link was posted to Everybody to the Limit. I watched the toon and thought it was rather amusing, so I browsed through the rest of the website for a while. It quickly ended up in my Favorites, and now I visit the site nearly every day to look for updates. At the time I started watching the website, island was the most recent Strong Bad Email.
My involvement with the Wiki
I came across the Homestar Runner Wiki by accident in September '05 and decided to join. I mainly have been trying to contribute minor things, such as fixing up spelling and grammar, finding and adding intra-wiki links, etc. I occasionally mess up and ask dumb questions or provide redundant information - be patient with me. :)
In the time I've been here, I've made a few major contributions (See Pages I've Worked On below for more info), and I attempted to help revert the damage done by the "Denial Of Service Stole My Cow" trollbots (working alongside Bubsty). I've also joined the Recent Changes Patrol and the Welcoming Committee.
Defender of the Wiki
- Even in the midst of the blitzkreig of trollbotting on the night of November 11, 2005, KieferSkunk had his wits about him. Along with a host of other stout-hearted users he became a first responder, reverting before the insolent foe had even completed his ill-fated career. For promptitude of the first degree, this barnstar is hereby awarded. —AbdiViklas 08:21, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
Pages I've Worked On
I'm not going to bother listing the pages where I've made minor edits and fixes - take a look at my Contributions Page if you're interested in that. But here are the pages where I've done major edits and rewrites:
- In Search of the Yello Dello (new ver) (old ver) (Remarks and transcript fixes)
- The Cheat, Coach Z and Homsar (Organized/rewrote Biographies)
- The Paper (Rewrote Oddities)
- Awexome Cross (Organized/rewrote the Fun Facts section)
- Minor Alternate Versions (Populated the Retro-gaming section)
- Population: Tire (Rewrote the entire article)
- Stinkoman 20X6 Enemies (Rewrote all the enemy descriptions)

I'm glad you asked! Here we go:
Toons
My favorite Toons are Strong Bad Sings, Everybody to the Limit, Senor Mortgage and Under Construction. I also enjoyed First Time Here? (who can forget "It's Dot Com!"? :)).
Strong Bad Emails
Games
I love retro-gaming references - particularly those in video games, as they remind me of my days growing up with games just like those. In general, I really like how Homestarrunner.com tends to keep with the spirit of the 80's and around that time period, without seeming old and out-of-date. My favorite games on the site are Stinkoman 20X6 and Peasant's Quest, though I like all of them to some extent.
Quotes
I see that people are also posting their favorite quotes from the site, so I figured I'd post mine as well:
- "Oh, why, Homestarrunner.net. It's DOT COM!" -- Homestar
- "Aaah! It's the ghost of General Tso!" -- Strong Bad
- "Those loonies are gonna blow up the ocean!" -- Silent Rip
- "Ohhh, very well. This one's called The Homestar Runner Gets Something Stuck In His Craw!" -- Strong Bad
- "I am a vampire and" -- trevor the vampire
- "And coming in at number 3, it's Strong Bad with I Freakin' Hate Sibbie!" -- The Announcer
- "Campus outreach is looking for... um... hang on..." -- radio
- "What's up Pawkeegan? This is Homestar Runner from Homestarrunner.com, and you're listening to the Cornbread Hour, here on WPKG, pointy-point-five, the voice of Pawkeegan State!" -- Homestar
- "Oh, go soak your fat head." -- The Homestar Runner
- STRONG BAD: I say there, Homestar, butt's twelve by pies?
HOMESTAR: Ooh, yes! I got Strong Bad to say something stupid! The Grumblecakes will be mine!
-- stupid stuff
