{The words "Some Halloween Costumes" are displayed at the top of the screen against a blue background. Dominating the screen is a picture of a man dressed as Strong Bad typing at a computer displaying a Strong Bad E-mail.}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} "Dear Strong Bad, how do you type with pieces of crappy red foam taped around your hands? Sincerely, Dress-up Donny." Come on, man. Give me a little effort here. The gloves. G-Get some real gloves.

{The picture changes to someone in a Strong Bad mask and boxing gloves punching a man with a papier-mâché Homestar head and a Homestar shirt.}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Here I am beating up some kind of...mashed potato man. Uh, they got my head pretty good in this one, 'cept I'm not sure what that junk in the front is. I clearly don't have any junk in the front.

{The picture changes to a man in a purple cap, a green jumper and trousers, wearing a large medallion like Coach Z's.}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} This guy's Coach Z costume's all right, but what he really nailed was the condition of Coach Z's apartment. That place looks like a sty hole. Ooh, pretzels!

{The picture changes to an illuminated pumpkin with The Cheat carved into it.}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} So let me get this straight: you guys paid a squirrel to come and gnaw The Cheat into your pumpkin? That's a waste of money. A colossal waste of money. Those squirrels' rates are... pretendous.

{The picture changes to a model of Trogdor above a banner reading "BURNiNATiNG", flanked on either side by people with jack-o'-lanterns.}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Well, something's gone horribly wrong here, 'cause, uh... these guys either let Trogdor's beefy arm atrophy, or... turned it into a...buffalo wing.

{The picture changes to a pumpkin painted to resemble Strong Sad's head sitting on a windowsill.}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Ah, nothing brightens up a window quite like Strong Sad's severed head.

{The picture changes to a model of Homestar.}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Oh man, if I saw that thing runnin' around my back yard, I'd get out the compound bow. And then I'd tell it to take those Kleenex boxes off its feet.

{The picture changes to an assortment of illuminated pumpkins with Homestar Runner images carved into them: the H*R logo, The Cheat, Strong Bad, Homestar, Strong Sad, Strong Mad, and Coach Z.}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Whoa, those things rule! These are, like, the talismans of power! You know, like, when they're all together they're a source of unspeakable evil, but then they all get separated and you have to collect them, so, like... the first board would be the jungle board, and maybe the second board is Ice World, {his voice begins to fade away} and then there's probably a desert world in there and a fire world...

{The picture changes to a man wearing a Strong Bad mask and boxing gloves making out with a girl. To the left is a sign saying "HIGH FIVES" and to the right, one saying "MAKE OUTS".}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Whoa! That guy's totally getting to first base in front of, like, the dining hall, and it's all because he's dressed like me! Unless that girl's trying to suck out my eyeballs...

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {voiceover, spookily} See... see!

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Shut up!

{The picture changes to two people, one dressed as Marzipan, where you appearently can't see her hair, and the other as Homestar, standing in a field in front of some trees.}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Pwahaha! Oh, geez... you know, I've always preferred the snub-nosed Marzipan to the long-necked variety. {sings} Ohhh, people with too much time on their hands, oh, there's people with way too much time on their hands...

{The picture changes to three people in a living-room dressed as Homestar, Strong Bad and Strong Sad.}

STRONG BAD: Barrel-chested Homestar comes with everything you see here! Paper-boxing-gloves Strong Bad not included. Dumpy Robert Smith action figure sold separately. Cozy Americana country décor available at fine stores everywhere.

{"Back" appears at the bottom left of the screen.}

Fun Facts

Trivia

  • The email shown on the screen in the first photo appears to be from sibbie.

Remarks

  • The "Kleenex Boxes" on the Homestar model's feet are really wet wipe boxes, identifiable by the blue plastic lids.

Inside References

  • The picture of the guy "reaching first base" with "Make-Outs" and "High Fives" signs is a reference to the Strong Bad character video, in which Strong Bad orders "dudes" to line up on the left for high fives and "ladies" on the right for makeouts.
  • Homestar's "See... see!" is a reference to Malloween Commercial, in which he claims that this is the noise that eyeballs make.

Real-World References

  • "Dumpy Robert Smith Action Figure" is a reference to Robert Smith, lead singer and front man of rock band The Cure (which Strong Sad is a fan of), known for his quite liberal use of makeup.
  • "The Talismans of Power" scattered through "different lands" is a standby of countless RPGs, platform video games, and cartoons. It is also very similar to the anime and manga series Dragon Ball, where the characters' goal is to collect all the (7) Dragonballs to have a wish granted. The arrangement of them is very similar to a scene from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" where "magic stones" were arranged in a similar fashion and glowed when several of them were brought near each other.
  • The "different lands" are very reminiscent of several Mario games, such as Paper Mario and Super Mario 64, as well as the Sonic games, where all the worlds mentioned by Strong Bad are included. Another example is the Megaman game series, parodied by the Stinkoman 20X6 games. The original Megaman series placed Megaman in a different themed environment in each level.
  • A compound bow is a bow with a pulley system that reduces the tension on the bowstring when it is fully drawn. This allows the archer to hold the draw longer and take better aim.

Fast Forward

  • A sequel to this was created for Halloween 2005 and referenced this one in its name: More Fan Costumes.
