Ghosts are frequently mentioned and seen in Homestar Runner cartoons and appear in many different forms throughout the series. They are most often mentioned in Halloween toons.

- Strong Badia the Free — Homestar Runner says he won't make a country at his house because there's a squirrel in the attic that he sometimes thinks is a spooky ghost.
- Costume Commercial — A ghost pattern is faintly visible in the background.
- Most in the Graveyard — A paper ghost, reading "oh, boo", is seen on the wall of The King of Town's castle.
- 8-Bit is Enough — After video games merge with reality, the House of the Brothers Strong becomes Spirits of '76, and ghosts fly around. Afterwards, pictures can be taken with the Snappy in certain locations to reveal ghosts. Redcoat Ghost Patrol can also be played.
