HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 40

How about The Paper? Nice page with lots of info. An integral part of every SBEmail and a pretty cool dude. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 10:43, 19 Sep 2005 (UTC)

How about Lappy 486? We should really feature Strong Bad's current computer. --Color Printer 12:07, 19 Sep 2005 (UTC)
I wouldn't mind the paper. The three computers should also each be featured sometime. Do you think a three week series, or once every month or so? And if we feature The Paper, we've still gotta feature it at email #172 as well. Thunderbird 16:26, 19 Sep 2005 (UTC)
If we ever get to #172. It's now been six weeks since the last one, and counting. — It's dot com 16:37, 19 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Heck, I say they'll go to at LEAST email 200. If they were planning to stop them, they would have done a 'last email' type thing, or something, and they would have stopped at email 130, for the DVD's sake. They'll come. Reformatted and better than ever. So how does everybody feel about The Paper? Thunderbird 23:03, 19 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Some annony just asked why The Brothers Chaps haven't been featured. This is actually a good question. That's what I would like to see for this week. small_logo.pngUsername-talk 23:47, 21 Sep 2005 (UTC)
I have thought of them, but I figured we could feature them the week after Halloween, namely the week starting October 31st, the next day of course being November 1st. If anybody wants to feature them earlier, that of course is up to the majority. Or we could feature them now, and Specifically Matt Chapman again on his birthday. How do all y'alls feel about that? Thunderbird 00:01, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)
If they're in the pipeline, that's cool too. The Paper is fine for this week in that case. small_logo.pngUsername-talk 00:02, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Forgive me for going against the grain here, but I'm not convinced The Paper is featured article material (at the very least, it hasn't ever been added to the nominations page). My vote this week is for the Museum. It's an oft-overlooked feature that would give a person plenty of material to explore throughout the week. — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 03:14, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Sounds good to me. Although another tiny idea just popped into my mind. Perhaps Strong Badia, in view of 2 years being up. I think either one would work well, perhaps moving Museum to the week following this one. In any case, thanks Joey, nice to hear your input in these parts. Perhaps anybody who feels strongly about The Paper, work on cleaning it up a bit, and bring it up again a bit later. And at the very, VERY least, I don't see how we CAN'T feature it the week before it's possible demise. Thunderbird 04:40, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Any objections to Strong Badia, in honor of 2 years being over and done? Who knows, it may even convince TBC to acknowledge it somehow. Going... Going... Thunderbird 05:13, 23 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Gone. After FCUSA, the monarchy inside it is fine article indeed. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 13:37, 23 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Okay, made base, more info is need though. Also, what do you think of the pic? Any suggestions on a better one? Thunderbird 17:46, 23 Sep 2005 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 41

How 'bout Old-Timey? — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 02:06, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)

I still like Dangeresque. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 02:11, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Old-timey would be good, but I really love the whole 'themed feature' idea. Is there any specific time Old-timey could be featured? Thunderbird 04:56, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Alright, let's get these done and ahead. I'm going with Old-Timey tonight. Thunderbird 23:53, 29 Sep 2005 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 42

Sweet Cuppin' Cakes would be a good one. — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 02:06, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Mmmmmm... Sweet Cuppin' Cakes... Yea, that wouldn't be too bad at all. Anybody mind cuppin' cakes? Thunderbird 04:59, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Sounds good to me. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 19:34, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Perhaps we could flex our 'article of the day' abilities with this one. What about devoting this week to 'The Popups'. 2 days for Quote of the Week, 2 days for Weekly Fanstuff, 2 days for Sketchbook, and finish it off with 1 for Random Toon. Or start it on Sunday, and devote 2 days to each. Anybody like this idea? I think a Week for each of these well known pages is a bit excessive, but I wouldn't mind seeing them all featured. Thunderbird 01:07, 26 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Alright, unless there's any objections by tonight, I'm gonna try my hand at fitting the four of 'em in to week 42. Thunderbird 23:54, 29 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Alright – Pertmywert (Talk·Edits) 22:57, 30 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Okay, there's the base setup, along with the redirects. Now we've just gotta make the seven pages... Thunderbird 07:15, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Alright, what I did was make the base of seven pages, running through the four Popups, the bonus Fanstuff from the Museum, and the two bonus Sketchbooks from the Museum and DVD. That makes a week's worth of day by day features. The articles still need worked on, pic-ified, and the page itself for the DVD sketchbook could be improved on. But that's for another day. Like... Tomorrow. Thunderbird 07:33, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Okay, I think they're ready now. Some proof-reading is always appreciated. Thunderbird 00:08, 5 Oct 2005 (UTC)
I'm your man, boss. —BazookaJoe 23:55, 9 October 2005 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 43

Thorax Corporation — How many average Homestar fans even know this exists? I think it would make a great featured article. — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 02:06, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Thorax I think is great. This is a knowledge base encylipidia and when a an average fan comes here they should learn! I wouldn't have known what it is if I didn't know about the wiki.
Mmmm, quite good. Forgot about that little nugget. In which case, what about Mellow Mushroom sometime? Thunderbird 04:41, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Hm, I think I did my math wrong. Week 43 is the week before Halloween, not week 44, therefore we should do Halloween Costumes this week. — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 15:05, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Mellow Mushroom sounds good. Speaking of, why don't we add an icon for Mellow Mushroom, like Videlectrix and Thorax. We don't link frequently to any of them, but they sure look cool. — Lapper (talk) 19:41, 4 Oct 2005 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 44

I agree with Thunderbird about doing Halloween Costumes this week. — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 02:01, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Yay! Thunderbird 04:56, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)
I did my math wrong. Week 44 is the week of Matt's birthday, so we should do The Brothers Chaps this week. — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 15:05, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 45

I agree with Thunderbird about doing The Brothers Chaps this week. — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 02:01, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Yay! Thunderbird 04:56, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)
I did my math wrong. Week 45 is the week after Matt's birthday, so we should do something else this week. Perhaps Thorax Corporation? — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 15:05, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)

I would like to see something more obscure, like Mellow Mushroom or If I Ran the Camera. (trogga)

I don't care much for Mellow Mushroom, but If I Ran The Camera seems well-written enough. —Gafaddict Image:Gafaddict sigpic.gif (Talk | Contribs.) 19:16, 27 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Wow, I've never even heard of If I Ran the Camera. That sounds like an excellent choice. Thanks Trogga! Thunderbird 14:06, 28 Sep 2005 (UTC)
I still like the idea of Thorax, and I thought we need images for a featured article. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 19:21, 28 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Oooh, that's true. Perhaps a pic of the source file, for if we ever use it in the future. Thinking further about it, it's a good choice for the future, but I wouldn't mind waiting until somebody finally asks TBC about it, and we get a bit more background. Thorax is still sounding good. Thunderbird 23:31, 28 Sep 2005 (UTC)
IMO, I feel that featured articles should be strictly Homestar related material. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 23:32, 4 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Well who knows WHAT If I ran the camera was originally for. It might be good in the future, but in it's current state, with little known about it, I agree that it isn't featurable. Thorax Corporation then? Thunderbird 00:46, 5 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Why not? (trogga)

Well there's not really much known about it. I agree that it should be featured some time, but I'd rather we get further info first. Who knows, it may not even have been made by TBC. They've said before their site was originally for toons to show friends and family. Perhaps in the early days of the site they made this for their family, or even somebody of their family made it and they hoasted it for them for a while. It sure does spark my curiosity though, it's at the top of my list of things to ask the Brothers Chaps. Thunderbird 02:13, 5 Oct 2005 (UTC)

What I meant to say was, "why not [use] Thorax Corporation?" (trogga)

Haha, my bad. Thorax Corporation it is. Thunderbird 23:52, 5 Oct 2005 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 46

Well I just skimmed through the nominations, and here are some starters that caught my eye. Feel free to suggest your own picks.
Howsabout Duck Guardian One, or Peasant's Quest. With the end of Stinkoman 20X6 on the horizon, it might be nice to feature a classic game sometime. Thunderbird 06:17, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

After the Collaborative Community Projects on Peasant's Quest is over, it would be a fine Featured Article. In the meantime, Duck Guardian One looks nice. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:03, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
Duck Guardian One make me crazy with duck-shooting and duck-jumping. I throw my good intentions behind Peasant's Quest, and failing that, Hallrunner. — THE SMOKING MONKEY 12:40, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
Okay, is Peasant's Quest cleaned up enough to feature, or should we hold off for a while and pick a different game? We should get on this, we're starting to fall behind again. Thunderbird 01:42, 5 November 2005 (UTC)
Looks cleaned up enough to me. Go on it. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 05:52, 5 November 2005 (UTC)
Peasant's Quest sounds great. Stinkoman 20X6 seriously needs to be cleaned up before it is even considered. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 20:22, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
PQ is a good article to feature. The Collaborative Community Project improved it quite a bit. I don't think it's going to get any better than how it is now, so I wouldn't wait around for it. —BazookaJoe 19:21, 12 November 2005 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 47

Perhaps Couch Mumbling? It is a bit small, but is on par with the Floppy Disk Container as far as info and such goes. It's on the top of my personal favorites. Thunderbird 06:17, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

The problam with Mumblings, is that there are only 4 of them. I'll say we wait for a few more. On that note, I still think The Paper is a good page with alot a info. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 06:55, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, The Paper. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 05:24, 5 November 2005 (UTC)
Go ahead and write The Paper. You won't find much objection. —BazookaJoe 19:23, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
I may be biased, but that article looks to be a good candidate. —THE PAPER PREEEOW 22:56, 16 November 2005 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 48

How about BMW Lighter? It could maybe use some gallery treatment, but in any case I think it's featurable. And just in time for Decemberween shopping. Thunderbird 06:17, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

Sounds like a good idea. But this is just as good a place as any to comment that I would like to see an interview or public appearance sprinkled in as a Featured Article now and then. —BazookaJoe 19:27, 12 November 2005 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 49

I wouldn't mind Puppet Stuff sometime, a good central hub of a page, with links to lots of stuff. Thunderbird 06:17, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

One of the core toons. I like it. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:04, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 50

JoeyDay suggested it earlier, and I think it's a good choice. Howsabout Sweet Cuppin' Cakes? Thunderbird 06:17, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

Not enough data. Maybe after one more toon in that theme. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:05, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
Well, then what about Leomard Sportsinterviews? — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 06:18, 5 November 2005 (UTC)
How about Limozeen? Rogue Leader / (my talk) 14:33, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
I'm willing to go with Limozeen. Thunderbird 21:04, 12 November 2005 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 51

This year, this week would end with Decemberween, on Sunday the 25th. So why not feature Decemberween? Thunderbird 06:17, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

Yeah, let's go with time of the year ones if they're dead obvious, like Decemberween is. Definitely D'ween. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 05:18, 5 November 2005 (UTC)

Yeah, On a side note, this year the begining of Hanukah and Christmas being on the same day. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 20:50, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

Let's change the screenshot to something more... Holiday-ish, eh? The current picture may be part of a Decemberween play, but new people to Homestar Runner won't know that. —FireBird|Talk 22:44, 16 November 2005 (UTC)
There, how's that. — It's dot com 23:04, 16 November 2005 (UTC)
That looks perfect to me! —THE PAPER PREEEOW 23:17, 16 November 2005 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 52

The last feature of the year? I'm open to suggestions. (Well I'm open to suggestions on each week, just this time I'm not even posting my own for now). Thunderbird 06:17, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

How about rock opera? Nice end with all the characters standing there in the picture. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:06, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
That's not a bad idea, but by the same token it might be a nice '150th email' feature. Thunderbird 19:10, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
Eh, I really wouldn't like having an email on the last week. Something bigger. —FireBird|Talk 02:11, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
Well, the only one that seems to be nice on the nomination page is Holiday Toons. That has a good picture. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 02:16, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
That's not a bad idea. I'm totally up for it. Thunderbird 21:12, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
I agree. Holiday Toons gets my vote. —FireBird|Talk 22:16, 21 November 2005 (UTC)
Alright, I'm making a base for Holiday Toons. Thunderbird 23:21, 21 November 2005 (UTC)
