Homestar Runner and Pom Pom have always been described as being best friends. While they are good friends most of the time, there have been several instances in which Homestar's obliviousness has been seen to wear on Pom Pom's patience.

Homestar and Pom Pom's Friendship

• Original Book — Pom Pom shares the trophy with Homestar.
• Marshmallow's Last Stand — Pom Pom helps Homestar win the War for the Star against Strong Bad and Strong Mad.
• A Jumping Jack Contest — Homestar plans to share the trophy with Pom Pom, and states that they are best friends.
• Theme Song Video — Homestar and Pom Pom drink Cold Ones together at The Bar.
• In Search of the Yello Dello New Version — Homestar states that Pom Pom, along with Strong Sad, will help Homestar because they're his friends.
• A Mother's Day Message — Homestar and Pom Pom make fun of Strong Bad's sailor costume along with The Cheat and Strong Mad.
• Pom Pom's Character Video — Homestar claims that Pom Pom has gotten him out of some tight jams and some "tight pants".
• 3 Times Halloween Funjob — Homestar and Pom Pom go trick-or-treating together.
• Homestar Presents: Presents — Homestar plans to give Pom Pom electrical tape for Decemberween.
• Summer Short Shorts — Homestar repeatedly attempts to describe his friendship with Pom Pom using different metaphors.
• Email from work — Homestar claims that he gets "admin privileges" at the office since he is best friends with Pom Pom, the "Big Cheese".
• Baddest of the Bands — Homestar and Pom Pom form the band "Pomstar" together.
• Most in the Graveyard — Homestar and Pom Pom go look for The Goblin together, and he holds Homestar when the undead sheep appears.
• Kick-a-Ball — Pom Pom is Homestar's top (and seemingly only) choice for a teammate.
• I Killed Pom Pom — Homestar is distraught after he believes he killed Pom Pom, calling him his best friend and concubine.
• Haunted Photo Booth — Homestar and Pom Pom have a set of pictures taken together.

Pom Pom's Annoyance with Homestar

• A Jumping Jack Contest — Pom Pom is annoyed at Homestar's insistence that a disguised Strong Mad is Strong Bad.
• Pumpkin Carve-nival — Pom Pom, believing that Strong Bad disguised as Homestar and judging the pumpkin competition is actually Homestar himself, is annoyed that his pumpkin only got second place.
• Pom Pom's Character Video — Pom Pom, while speaking on the phone, is annoyed by Homestar's frequent interruptions.
• Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon — Pom Pom is annoyed that Homestar accused him, and even himself for stealing the Poopsmith.
• Bug In Mouth Disease — Homestar steals and eats Pom Pom's Popsicle, then pokes him with the stick.
• Summer Short Shorts — Pom Pom seems annoyed by Homestar's repeated attempts to describe their friendship. Homestar also mentions that Pom Pom tried to strangle him at least once before.
• Email senior prom (Easter egg) — Pom Pom expresses annoyance at Homestar's claim that his "pants" were "poofed away" at the prom, and presumably tells him to keep telling himself that.
• Baddest of the Bands — During the extended play, Pom Pom is seen at Club Technochocolate looking for a singer again, suggesting that he and Homestar separated, most likely due to Strong Bad's sabotage.
• Most in the Graveyard — Pom Pom lowers his eyelids in annoyance when Homestar keeps referring to a theme park.
• Kick-a-Ball — Pom Pom gets annoyed at Homestar for apparently only picking him (and being proud of it).
• Where My Hat Is At? (toon) — Homestar asks Pom Pom to trade his hat for a jock strap, but Pom Pom refuses and almost throws a pool ball (or "magic" 8-ball) at Homestar.
• I Killed Pom Pom — Pom Pom leaves while Homestar is randomly blurting out "murder" and keeps up the deception that he was killed by Homestar to prank him, inadvertently leading to his actual death when Homestar pops him. Once he's stitched back up, Pom Pom threatens to stab Homestar.
