Nationality Confusion
From Homestar Runner Wiki
The characters of the Homestar Runner universe sometimes get nationalities confused, most often Strong Bad.
Appearances
- Email action figure — Strong Bad says his action figure would come with Chinese throwing croissants despite them being a French pastry. He may also be referring to "Chinese throwing stars", when shuriken are Japanese in origin.
- Email anything — Reading the abbreviation "FL", Homestar Runner wonders if the sender is either from Far Off Lands or Foreign Leadership Camp before supposing that the sender's from Fish Lake instead of Florida.
- The Theme from Dangeresque II — Dangeresque is said to keep a bunch of Chinese stars under the bed with a length of pipe. Again, shuriken are Japanese.
- Email secret recipes — Strong Bad mistakes the abbreviation of New Jersey (NJ) for Nigeria.
- Email theme song — Strong Bad thinks On-ta-rio, Can-ada is "south of the border".
- Date Nite — Strong Bad pretends to be an Italian chef at a French restaurant, completely falling apart when trying to correct it.
- The Limozeen Advantage — Larry Palaroncini mistakenly believes Advantage are from the French Nebula when they're actually from New Jersey.
- Homestar Ruiner — Strong Bad takes the sender of the email for French as he came from Frenchtown, California.
- Donut Unto Others — Homestar claims to have dreamt that "[he] was a French long jump champion with eight wooden legs" but from what we see, he's a Mexican high-jump champion with only one leg.
- Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective — After finding out his father is in Venice, Dangeresque declares to Renaldo that they're going to France, before a jump-cut corrects it to Italy.
- Haunted Photo Booth — Strong Bad calls Strong Sad's Hercule Poirot costume "Frenchy Detective" when the character is Belgian.
