A game accessible only by clicking the "O" in Strong Bad's Message Bored.

In this game, you must drive through oncoming traffic... at night! Move your car with the mouse.

Easter Eggs

  • If you beat Strong Bad's high score of 50,000 points, you'll get a short cutscene where Strong Bad shows you that he's now gotten a new high score... exactly one point higher than yours. You can also access this by right-clicking and pressing "Play" when you lose on the Flash File.

Transcript

STRONG BAD: Oh, you beat my high score, huh? Well, I just finished the game. Check it out! {Shows you the screen, his score is one point higher than yours.} Oh, tough luck. I guess it's back to the drawing board for you! Or, the, uh, Night Driving board, or uh.... Get out of my basement!

Fun Facts

Remarks

  • It's not possible to get a score one higher, like Strong Bad says he did, considering the smallest increasing score is 100.

Glitches

  • You still earn points for any vehicle that passes your wrecked vehicle.
  • You can crash 2–3 times in rapid succession yet only lose one life (in other words, crashing, then immediately crashing again).
  • You won't crash into any vehicles if you stay on the far left-hand side, as far as possible
  • The game sometimes loads data where the station wagons primarily drive on the right side of the road, and drunk drivers swerve left, then right, meaning if you stay in the left lane, you'll never die.
  • If you view the flash file directly, and get a game over, right click the file and hit forward a few times, then hit play. You can see the Strong Bad basement scene without having to beat 50,000 points!
  • Right-click and unselect play for unlimited lives. When you run out of lives, your lives will show as - and you can keep playing. Select play again to get the game over screen.
  • If you get over 100,000 points, the score will reset to 10,000. This is due to the game only displaying the first five digits in the score; the counter still has you over 100,000.
  • If you crash into another car and a drunk driver is there it will crash even though you didn't hit it.
  • If you run this game directly from the Strong Bad Message Bored flash file and use the right-clicked context menu to fast-foward (click the foward menu option) right after losing the game, you will see any score that you have gotten increased just by one point.
  • When you see the Easter egg screen for this game, the first basement shot shows your original score before adding one point to the score. But after the TV screen is shown, the score remains changed at one point higher than your original score.

Inside References

  • The source of the Easter egg is the Strong Bad's Room Main Page, where he brags that he's got the high score of 50,000 points, and challenges you to beat it.

Real-World References

  • The whole game itself is based on the Atari 2600 game "Night Driver," which in turn was based on the 1976 arcade game of the same name.
