Paul Slocum

Paul Slocum is a programmer and homebrew video game developer. After meeting The Brothers Chaps through mutual friends, he has collaborated on and had his work featured in several Homestar Runner projects.

Slocum is the author of the Synthcart program cartridge for the Atari 2600, which allow users to create music on the console without the need for hardware or software modification. The Brothers Chaps have used the Synthcart to make the music in the Videlectrix game 50K Racewalker, as well as Making of Email 100 and Your Hair is Messed Up; the physical cartridge was seen in Joystick Wagglin' with Videlectrix: Halloween Edition. He also created the Atari game Marble Craze, which has been occasionally referenced in Homestar Runner.

In the early 2000s, Slocum and the Brothers Chaps collaborated on the development of a Homestar Runner RPG for the Atari 2600. Due to the complexity of creating a full RPG on such limited hardware, the project was put on hold in 2004 and by 2008 was considered abandoned.

Paul was a member of chiptune band Tree Wave from 2003-2009, where he used vintage computer and video game hardware alongside custom software to create electronic music.
