(Fun Facts: whoops... like I said, the capitalization...)
(Fun Facts: Upload problems the first time... Anydangways, I.J., I was trying to say I wasn't sure I agreed with you, but I'd go along with your judgement. And that "MB" should be capitalized.)

Trivia

  • This was labeled as "Super Bowl halftime!!" on the main page, because The Brothers Chaps put this trailer up at halftime of the 2005 Super Bowl.
  • These are the single largest Flash files on the entire site, with the 2.8 MB "Jhonka" trailer being over one and a half times larger than the runner-up, Puppet Jam: Tropical Lazor Beams.
  • When this trailer was first put up at halftime, the size and popularity of the file apparently overloaded TBC's server. Because of this, the original 13.4 MB file was removed mid-Monday morning and was temporarily replaced with a closeup of Rather Dashing and a note saying that he would be back. By late morning, that was replaced with a screen enabling you to choose which file size you wanted to download: "Jhonka" (2.6 MB), "Kerrek" (5.4 MB), or "Trogdor" (10.3 MB).
  • The loading screen used to read "loading a fairly big deal", but it now says "rather loading", refering to Rather Dashing.
  • The ending credits read:
                        Videlectrix Films
                   in relative association with
                    Thorax Legitimate present

                   "Peasant's Quest: The Movie:

                     Or Trogdor's Big Movie"

Matt Chapman Z. Gillespie Lucky Yates
Matt Gribbon Jackie Chapman Rene Delefont
Jonathan Howe Ryan Sterritt Christian Danley
editor Ryan Sterritt cinematographer Ryan Sterritt/Mike Chapman
            original score Mike Chapman/Jonathan Howe
pterydactyl wrangler Matt Chapman cartographer R. Craig Zobel

                 Directed by Lem Sportsinterviews
  • Many of the people listed in the credits are mentioned elsewhere on the site: Ryan Sterritt helped create the Strong Bad Email DVD. Jackie Chapman is Matt Chapman's wife, Craig Zobel helps write some of the cartoons and Jonathan Howe helps with many of the games.
  • The word "pterodactyl" is incorrectly spelled "pterydactyl" in the end credits.
  • These credits are clickable for some reason (at least in the 13.4 MB & "Trogdor" versions); however, doing so doesn't seem to activate any easter eggs.
  • When Rather Dashing is climbing up the mountain, and you see him from the front, the background is that of the Stone Mountain trail to the top. It is a large granite mountain near Atlanta, near where The Brothers Chaps live.
  • We see that Craig Zobel is credited as the "cartographer", which is someone who makes maps.
  • When Rather Dashing puts on the mask and and when he throws the baby, he speaks the actual commands from the game, e.g. "throw baby".

Inside References

  • The movie is directed by Leomard Sportsinterviews, well known for his book This Book is Better Than 1st, 2nd and Quite Possibly 3rd Base, among other things.
  • Litigation Jackson was the fictional movie mentioned in A Decemberween Pageant.
  • Many of the clips in this preview are taken directly from the Peasant's Quest game, including:
    • Scaring Poor Gary, the horse
    • Throwing The Baby in the water
    • Talking to the Baby Lady
    • The Kerrek pounding Rather Dashing into the ground.
    • Taking Kerrek's belt in the rain
    • Mendelev and Dongolev teaching you how to shoot an arrow
    • Fighting The Jhonka (though you don't actually fight him in the game)
    • Naked Ned appearing from behind the tree
    • Rather Dashing's "Scalding Lake" vacation shirt
    • Rather Dashing with the pot stuck over his head
    • The guard's explanation of why Rather Dashing cannot see Trogdor
    • Climbing the mountain to Trogdor's lair
    • Getting pebbles
  • When the Three Keepers of Trogdor are waving in the cave (after CG-Trogdor), the reptilian creature flying in the background makes the same noise as Mrs. Commanderson.
  • The Peasantry Map includes places such as:
    • The Frumpish Mountians (sp)
    • The Slightly Dangerous Fields
    • That Weird Tree (you know)
    • Trogdor's Keep
    • Clackum Falls
  • The music and ending lines ("And the Trogdor comes in the night!") are taken from Strong Bad's Trogdor song in the email dragon.
  • "Thorax Legitimate" is refering to the Thorax Corporation.
  • "Video computer TV game" is a possible reference to the easter egg in Peasant's Quest Preview, where the first Videlectrix programmer says, "I'm supposed to release a video computer game on TV without this graphic!"

Real-World References

  • "Trogdor's Big Movie" may be a reference to the Winnie the Pooh movie, Piglet's Big Movie.
  • The heading "A Lem Sportsinterviews Joint" is a reference to Spike Lee's movies which are called "A Spike Lee Joint."
  • The blue knight's helmet slamming shut when he says something in anger may be a reference to a similar thing happening to the character Dark Helmet in the movie Spaceballs or Sir Bedevere in the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
  • The silhouette of Rather Dashing holding up the shining sword is a reference to the logo of The Legend of Zelda.
  • The hands being waved in the air near the end are reminiscent of the Helping Hands from the movie Labyrinth.
  • The battle between Rather Dashing and Jhonka is reminiscent of Frodo's battle with Gollum at the end of The Return of the King.
