Pom Pom | The Kool-Aid Man | The KOOL-AID Man, originally known as the 'Pitcher Man,' first crashed through a wall and into the advertising scene in 1975. Marvel Comics published about a half a dozen Kool-Aid Comics in the '80s. In 1983, there were video games for the Atari 2600 Video Computer System and Intellivision available titled after this mascot of Kool-Aid. | Kool-Aid FAQ
Strong Sad | Vyvyan | Vyvyan was a red-haired punk who made his first entrance on the show The Young Ones in 1982 by crashing through a kitchen wall. He sported metal studs in his forehead and chopped his own fingers off to relieve boredom. No one epitomized punk's iconoclastic whimsy, its anarchic glee like Vyvyan. | The Boston Phoenix
Bubs | Captain Lou Albano | Captain Lou Albano was one of the greatest managers in the history of professional wrestling. He initially managed a WWF Tag Team in the 1940s. He is one of Nintendo's best-known characters and considered by many to be the biggest video game character in history AND one of the biggest mascots of all time, appearing in literally hundreds of games, many of them bestsellers. Strong Mad | A Ghost | A classic, yet rarely used, halloween costume, the white sheet with eye holes cut out of it is the ultimate in quickie costumes. Of course, Strong Mad being Strong Mad, his holes are over his mouth instead of his eyes.
Homsar | Ghost Dog | Ghost Dog is the main character in the 1999 movie Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai. He is an African-American hit man who models himself after the ideal Japanese samurai. Ghost Dog is played by Forest Whitaker in the movie. | IMDb Listing

Homestar Runner | Angus Young | Angus Young is one of the world’s most famous guitarists whose style is frequently imitated, but never duplicated. He is famous for performing in a schoolboy's uniform and for his physical pyrotechnics onstage, which often include rolling around on the floor while playing. Since 1973, Young has been the lead guitarist with the legendary rockers of the band AC/DC. | Gibson Press Release
Strong Bad | Homestar As Angus Young | See Homestar's costume for information on Angus Young; Strong Bad wore this costume as part of an elaborate prank on the others.
The Goblin | Strong Bad As The Bee | When it was revealed that Homestar was actually Strong Bad in a costume, "Strong Bad" was found to actually be the Goblin in a Strong Bad costume. That he is dressed as "The Bee" is likely a reference to The Simpsons' "The Bumblebee Man", used as a generic Spanish-language TV character, because of Strong Bad's Mexican wrestling mask-like head and accent, despite The Goblin As Strong Bad’s claim that he is "the bee... from nature." Also could be a reference to the old Saturday Night Live sketch with John Belushi as King Bee. | The Simpsons Archive |
