STRONG SAD: {waking up abruptly} Look out, Julian Ca-sa-blan-cas!

STRONG BAD: Hey Stankle. Did you sleep here last night?

STRONG SAD: Oh yeah. I wanted to be first in line for Record Store Day. {Pats his belly} sloshy's releasing an obscure 7-inch.

STRONG BAD: But aren't all of sloshy's releases obscure? As in, they make enough copies for themselves and their girlfriends, knowing full well that their girlfriends are going to throw them away?

STRONG SAD: And I creep them out of the trash! {holds up record titled "Girlfriend Haircut" covered in mud and with a banana peel on it}

STRONG BAD: Yeah, that sounds like you. All Limozeen's doin' for Record Store Day is releasing a Cassette Maxi Single of their 7th Final Reunion Tour Brunch.

STRONG BAD: It's just them at some restaurant talking about escrow and knee surgery.

STRONG SAD: Ooh, on sale even! {turns around to face Strong Bad} Check it out, it's a B-side only.

STRONG SAD: Not even!

Record Store Day is a real holiday celebrated on the third Saturday of April to celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store. Some records are made specifically for Record Store Day and distributed to stores celebrating the holiday.
"180-gram vinyl" refers to modern gramophone record releases, which are often pressed on heavier vinyl (usually weighing 180 grams) as they provide higher quality sound and are less prone to deformation.
Many seven-inch vinyl singles are to be played back at 45 revolutions per minute.
The B-side of a record is its flip side, as opposed to the A-side. A-sides usually featured the recording intended to receive radio airplay and hopefully become a "hit" song, with B-sides usually being a throwaway song.
A Maxi single is a music single release with more than the usual two tracks of an A-side song and a B-side song.

This is the first toon since Xeriouxly Forxe to lack any Easter eggs.
This toon was released on the same day as The Cheat's cheatday (at least according to his fake ID).
This is the first toon since Decomposing Pumpkins not to include Homestar Runner.
A Sloshy Record Store Day shirt became available on the Store with this toon's release. In addition, a Sloshy shirt that was sold in 2007 was reintroduced.
This toon uses the old design of the Field.

This is the fifth toon in a row to not have a back button.
The poster that appears at "This part has piano" is in German, and means "Live at the Angry Kebab Shop. Wednesday, November 17 at 9:30."
The poster that appears at the "Of the in-store. Yeah!" is in Swedish and literally means "Performing live in Jukasjaarvi at the score's honorary ballroom - 10:00".
Both the German and Swedish posters use the 12-hour format, uncommon in Continental Europe, as it's more common for concerts to be in the evening. This means that the posters would say, respectively, 21:30 and 22:00.
The Japanese sticker on the cover for "All Tomorrow's Euro-Restrooms" literally means "DVD release on August 5th".
- The cover's title contains poor English.
In the Flash version, the words "Than Thou Records" on Strong Sad's record and on one of the album covers can be highlighted using the cursor.
Bubsmoeba being a portmanteau of "Bubs" and "amoeba" is reminiscent of high school, in which his paramecium form resembles an amoeba.

Strong Sad's line "Look out, Julian Casablancas!" is a variation of a line from haircut, in which he says, "Watch out, Julian Sands!"
"Coolier Than Thou Records" is a reference to the shirt that Cheerleader wore in Teen Girl Squad Issue 7, which read "coolier than thou".
"Limozeen: But They're At Brunch" is a reference to Limozeen: But They're In Space!.
The TV Time Toons Menu preview is taken directly from concert. The background behind Strong Sad is the basement, and it can be seen by opening the Flash file itself.
In this toon, both Strong Bad and Strong Sad smile.
The "All Tomorrow's Euro-Restrooms" album cover prominently features a roll of toilet paper.
Bubsmoeba is a portmanteau.
The electronic voice near the end of the sloshy song is similar to the one in Smart Drinks, from nightlife.

"Bubsmoeba Rekkids" is a play on Amoeba Music, an independent music chain in California.
Julian Casablancas is the lead singer of indie garage rock band The Strokes.
Stereogum is an online indie music magazine; in this context, "depends how big the Stereogum blows (up)" means how popular it becomes due to being featured.
"Stere-ereo" is a reference to the lyrics of the song "Rappin' Blow (Pt. 2)", the first track off the 1980 album Kurtis Blow by the rapper of the same name.
"All Tomorrow's Euro-Restrooms" references "All Tomorrow's Parties", a song by The Velvet Underground. The song's name was also used as the title for a music festival that focuses on non-traditional rock music.
"The B-est of B-Sides" is possibly a play on the Iron Maiden compilation, Best of the 'B' Sides.
"OUR BAND HAS LIKE FOURTEEN MEMBERS" is possibly a reference to indie rock band Typhoon.

Despite the chorus's insistence, sloshy did in fact go on to perform "The B-est of B-Sides" live at both Homestar Runner 20th Anniversary Shows.
This toon would have a follow-up three years later, with an even more obscure record release in Record Store Day 2018.
