ANNOUNCER: the following is an extremely well paid for comercial advertisement {pronounced ad-ver-tis-ment} and NOT a really funny carton.
Fun Facts
Trivia
- This cartoon appears to be in 30 frames per second for the 3D cutscenes, instead of the usual 12. This makes the animation smoother, yet more awkward and faster than usual. The last frame rate "substitute" was in Teen Girl Squad Issue 12, when it was bumped up to 20 fps for a 3D effect.
Remarks
- The URL at the end of the ad, http://telltalegames.com/strongbad/, is not yet active.
- Strong Sad's room is now to the left of Strong Bad's computer desk, rather than to the right as seen is gimmicks.
Inside References
- In the drawing at the end, Strong Bad is holding a Big Knife.
- The first 3D game Strong Bad pops up is similar to that of Extra Real Dating Sim XR, which first appeared in date.
- Advertisements being pronounced as "ad-VER-tis-ments" first appeared in Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 15.2.
Real-World References
- The Super FX Chip was used in games like Yoshi's island and Star Fox to provide sprite scaling and rotation.
- "N64" is an abbreviation of "Nintendo 64," Nintendo's first console capable of display 3D graphics using more methods. The "red thing" Strong Bad mentions is the Expansion Pak, a memory enhancement add-on.
- Mode 7 originated on the Super NES video game console, on which it describes a simple texture mapping graphics mode that allows a background layer to be rotated and scaled, as if in 3D.
