Strong Bad and Strong Sad's Relationship

Strong Bad's relationship with Strong Sad usually consists of Strong Bad hurting or making fun of Strong Sad, though not all the time. It appears that Strong Bad is at least partly responsible for Strong Sad's depression; Strong Sad writes that in Strong Bad's absence, "I feel... cooler, and... less like I suck so bad."

Matt Chapman has said that Strong Bad and Strong Sad's relationship is very loosely based on the relationship between himself and Mike, apparently from when they were kids. [1]

• Theme Song Video — Tied him to a spinning wheel and throws a Big Knife at him.
• In Search of the Yello Dello DVD — Filled his underwear with bologna and read his journal out in public when they were kids.
• Email depressio — Gives out his email address so that the viewers can insult him.
• The Secrets That I Keep — Threatened to "punsh" him in the back.
• Homestar Presents: Presents & The Best Decemberween Ever — Locked him in the bathtub, like every Decemberween.
• Email 1 step ahead — Glued his hands to his face twice, then to his butt.
• Email your friends — Whacks him continuously with a wiffle bat.
• Email 50 emails — Attempts to sell his soolnds to poachers.
• Pumpkin Carve-nival — Gives his pumpkin a last place ribbon.
• Strong Sad's Lament — Punched him in the knee, then had Strong Mad punch him in the knee.
• Email cheat talk — Hits him in the stomach with the keyboard.
• Email dragon — Burns his drawing of a dragon with the BMW Lighter.
• Email fingers — Imagines him dead several times.
• Strong Sad's Lament — Put a post-it note on his face while he was sleeping, attempted to deface his blog.
• Email caper — Strong Bad and The Cheat set fire to Strong Sad's underwear.
• Email big white face — Threw the first cake at him.
• Email privileges — Encourages The Cheat to drill his face and hands.
• Email suntan — Threatens his stuffed lobster Gooblies.
• Strong Sad's Character Video — Strong Sad states that he has two brothers who like to pummel him every hour on the hour.
• Email stunt double — Forced him to stunt double him on dangerous scenes.
• Email date — Strong Bad seems to have coerced Strong Mad into pummeling Strong Sad, and has given Strong Mad a (hidden camera equipped) class ring with which to do so. Strong Bad uses the camera to record the infraction and as he watches it approvingly, he exclaims "Beautiful" and "Nice work, big bro!".
• Email impression — Forced him to say "Hello, my name is Strong Sad"; flicked his "ear".
• Email 2 years — Believes that he locked him in the dryer, really locked him in The King of Town's Grill.
• Email no loafing — Repeatedly jumps on him while saying "I hate you" over and over.
• Email caffeine — Slipped him some caffeine, eventually causing him to pass out.
• Email the bet — Turned him into an indentured servant.
• Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 10.2 — Tells him he is a waste of fat space.
• Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon — Stole his iPod.
• Email haircut — Drew on him with his "Light Pen".
• Email theme park — Made "The Strong Sad Gets Decked Repeatedly Stunt Spook-tacular", a show in his Strong Bad's Mount RidesPlace USA.
• Email replacement — Trains people to attack him and insults his suggestions of "attacks".
• Email dangeresque 3 — Stole his sandwich; forced him to stunt double for Strong Mad on dangerous scenes.
• Experimental Film — Messes with his movie, steals his spotlight from the commentary.

• Strong Sad's Lament — Funneled rain onto him while he was taking a nap.

• Fall Float Parade — Stuck him in a fake snowman and uses nunchucks to beat him.
• Email technology — Hits him in the head with a "hard disk", which is actually a floppy disk.
• Email narrator — One part of Strong Bad's movie trailer includes an octopus thrown at Strong Sad, while another trailer has Strong Sad hit by a dead goose launched out of the dryer.
• Email pop-up — One page of the book allows the reader to pour gray cement, ram's blood, Boston cream or Magic Eye on Strong Sad's head. The page also has a flab-tab.
• Email candy product — Stuck his head in The Basement's ceiling.
• Sbemail 150?!? — Falls asleep while Strong Sad describes his idea for Strong Bad's 150th email.
• Kid Speedy — Threatens to steal his two dollars.
• Email keep cool — Hits him on the head to wake him up.
• Email retirement — Refers to his act as, "Stupid's stupid crap that I hate".
• Email what I want — Puts wildebeest pheremones into his laundry (again).
• Decemberween Short Shorts — The Strong Bad Ornament "bedazzles" the Strong Sad Ornament off of the Decemberween tree, smashing him.
• Email the movies — Threatens to beat him up after he talks constantly during a movie.
• Email your funeral — Imagines him carrying a jar containing Strong Bad's corpse while being whipped by The Cheat, later imagines coming back to life to stop Strong Sad from performing an interpretive dance.
• Email rough copy — Strong Bad and The Cheat sue Strong Sad for custody of Not-So-Thin Mints by throwing water balloons at him.
• DNA Evidence — Harvests his DNA.
• Email concert — Broke a record over his head, causing one shard to become lodged in his scalp.
• Email pizza joint — Denies invitations to join Strong Sad's friend list at virtualpizz.biz.
• Email slumber party — Early on, Strong Bad speaks of dislocating the shoulders of younger siblings. Later on, Strong Sad appears with his arm in a sling. Additionally, Strong Bad tells the viewers that Strong Sad used to miss his mother during the slumber parties they held in their basement and forces him to admit that this happened once. A week. For ten years. Strong Bad later attempts to dislocate Strong Sad's other shoulder.
• Email business trip — Leaves his lecture right after the introduction.
• Fan Costumes '07 — Jokes that the only innacuracy with a hideous Strong Sad costume is the fact the person wearing it is hugging a female.

Strong Sad's Revenge

These are times when Strong Sad has either proved Strong Bad wrong or made fun of him, much to Strong Bad's chagrin.

• Email stand-up — Shows the viewer Strong Bad's failed comedic act.
• Email gimmicks — Tells him that a computer like his could be bought in a garage sale for 15 dollars.
• Email morning routine — Interrupts his response to Mike's email several times.
• Email marzipan — Does not fall for his "vinegar toast" prank.
• Email 2 emails — Fools him to believe that "About a million ladies called... and said they'd be a few minutes late".
• Email labor day — With Strong Bad's absence, Strong Sad jokes that maybe his invitation got "da-leet-ed".
• Email couch patch — Reveals that Lil' Strong Bad believed Carl Lewis was a woman. And that she was hot.
• Email colonization — "Hassles" Strong Bad about his use of ketchup as a topping on eggs.
• Email army — Joined the Homestarmy, which rallies against the "two-bit wrestleman and his yellow dog".
• Email different town — Confuses him and calls him a weirdo.
• Email dangeresque 3 — Refuses to say his line for Dangeresque 1: Dangeresque, Too? instead says the movie is stupid.
• Email extra plug — Shushes Strong Bad for disrupting him watching a picture of Andy Griffith's head taped to a TV.
• Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon — While Strong Bad is in jail, Strong Sad turned the e-mail room into his tai chi space; later, he sells out Strong Bad and The Cheat to Homestar and Pom Pom.
• Teen Girl Squad Issue 10 — Catches Strong Bad trying to make out with a drawing of the made-over The Ugly One.
• Email looking old — Acts as if Strong Bad is his great-grandmother after receiving a "lace lift" in an attempt to look young, and eventually takes him back to "the home".
• Email rough copy — Repeatedly throws snowballs (which he had been storing in the freezer since he was eight) at Strong Bad and The Cheat.
• Main Page 24 — Took his pants, leaving him to search for them in his underwear.
• Email concert — Strong sad smiles as he remarks to Strong Bad's "Hollywood Boulevards," "Oh, hello, pleatèd boots. What are you all gussied up for?
• Email pizza joint — Gives virtualpizz.biz and the email itself negative reviews.
• Email slumber party — Mocks Strong Bad about his choice of pajamas at a slumber party.

Strong Bad and Strong Sad Getting Along

Rarely, Strong Bad and Strong Sad will be seen to get along in some way. This is usually one sided on Strong Sad's part.

• The Secrets That I Keep — Strong Bad and Strong Sad are seen getting along in a photo and a short movie.
• Email gimmicks — After Strong Bad was blown through a wall when his computer exploded, Strong Sad asks him if he is okay.
• Strong Sad's Lament — Strong Sad tried to teach Strong Bad how to whistle.
• Decemberween Email Menu — Strong Bad and Strong Sad pose for a picture with Strong Mad and The Cheat.
• Email caper — Strong Sad provides backing claps for The Cheat is Not Dead song; Strong Bad expresses surprise that he has rhythm.
• Email lackey (DVD Easter egg) — Strong Bad and Strong Sad fill out a Strong Lib, though Strong Bad is reluctant.
• Email different town — Strong Sad doesn't mind getting Strong Bad a bust of Bubo from the Clash of the Titans convention.
• Email other days — Strong Sad attempts to wake Strong Bad up so they can go to swim practice.
• Halloween Fairstival — Strong Bad asks Strong Sad for help with curing The Cheat's hiccups; Strong Sad gives him some advice.
• Email modeling — They have a civil conversation.
• Email extra plug — Strong Sad helps Strong Bad with his unplugged email.
• Sbemail 150?!? — Strong Sad offers to help Strong Bad with his 150th email.
• Email alternate universe — Strong Sad helps Strong Bad with his email song. Afterwards, Strong Bad thanks him.
• Fan Costumes '06 — Strong Sad helps Strong Bad make fun of someone dressed as a skinny Strong Sad.
• Email Accent — Strong Sad shows Strong Bad a projection of what Strong Bad's voice will sound like in five years, then calls in a specialist to help him recover his old accent.
• Email concert — Strong Sad attempts to get Strong Bad to like a band that isn't metal, and the two of them almost bond over it.
• Email pizza joint — Strong Sad gives Strong Bad's resturaunt, The Pizz, a favorable review.
• Jibblies 2 — Strong Bad includes Strong Sad in the good characters, though it might've been accidental.
