dry meal

Does anybody know what "dry meal" is supposed to be?

The dictionary says:

meal: n.
  1. The edible whole or coarsely ground grains of a cereal grass.
  2. A granular substance produced by grinding.

Think corn meal.

Maybe it means a granular substance produced by grinding that is lacking moisture.--Neverending Soda 00:05, 29 Aug 2005 (UTC)

I think it just means like, corn meal. At least, thats what I first thought of when I saw it. — talk Bubsty edits 02:36, 3 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Trivia

I removed this because I don't see what it really has to do with the article. You might as well put it on the some kinda robot page. If anyone could think of a way to reword it, that would be cool. link_icon.gifThe Joe(Talk) 02:14, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Perhaps it was put there because it is possible, however unlikely, that The Homestar Runner might have heard the word 'robot' in 1936. Sigma-6 16:30, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Inside References

"some kinda robot"

I think it was pretty random to just add that; must have been a reference to sbemail numbah 1.

kthxbye.

First off, please sign your posts with four tidles(~). Second, please use good grammar and spelling.(no numbah or kthxbye)

Anyways, I do agree with you. That's like saying EVERY use of, "some kinda robot," is a sighting/reference. I will remove this "reference". Star Guy T/C 03:26, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

OK, what are all these other usages of the word "some kinda robot" you mention? Those words aren't really all that generic, and since that email is kind of landmark, being the first, I think the connection is pretty reasonable. Heimstern Läufer 04:36, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
I agree. It's more than one word; it's a distinctive phrase; it's not just any email but the first email. — It's dot com 04:43, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
I've never cared much for the fact and think it's speculation at its finest, but I've never been sure enough to bother with it. I only bring it up now because... it's already been brought up. Don't like the fact, but I can live with it. --Jay (Talk) 06:02, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
It's really the fact that it's a reference to the FIRST email that puts it over the edge as a solid reference in my mind. — Defender1031*Talk 19:35, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

20X6!

I laugh at the part where The Homestar Runner says "20X6!" upside down!!!!! Hunk of Junk 09:28, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

That kind of comment is better suited for the forum, as this talk page is for discussion of the article. DENNIS T/C 09:33, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

20X6? 1936?

Both Stinkoman and The Homestar Runner never mention what year they're from, so how does The Homestar Runner know what year Stinkoman lives in and Stinkoman knows what year The Homestar Runner lives in? Are they good guessers, or what? WhatThePfargtl

Robit. Futurama reference or The Twilight Zone reference?

Johnny's rv of my rv earlier got me to dig on Google and I found there's also a reference to robit from The Twilight Zone (1959). Since TBC tend to not reference newer media, the reference is probably more a subtle Twilight Zone reference than a Futurama reference. What do you all think? I would link to my Google search results, but there might be copyvio problems with that, but I used "the twilight zone robit" as my query. — Ngamer01 02:09, 3 August 2013 (UTC)

I don't think it's a reference to anything, just an independent telling of a similar joke. — It's dot com 02:25, 3 August 2013 (UTC)
I think it IS a futurama reference, as they have referenced the show on several occasions, (most notable ol' poopie as the zoid man). — Defender1031*Talk 20:19, 3 August 2013 (UTC)

This is one of the few times he emotes. He typically keeps a neutral face in the toons he is in. Note worthy? --Cy4nIsN0tB1u3 12:17, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
