The Kaiser

As regards The Kaiser, could this also be a reference to Kaiser Wilhelm II?

I don't think so. TBC just used The Kaiser as a title for a "kingly" person. Kaiser is (or was) a fairly common term for a ruler. It's not a reference. --acekirby13|^{My Talk} 23:42, 10 May 2005 (UTC)

On the Kaiserly subject, in 1936, The Kaiser would hardly be a hated figure in lieu of the influence of Hitler. Could this be qualified as a "goof?"

Flapper Girls?

Are we sure it's "flapper girls" and not "clever girls"? "Flapper" would be the obvious historical reference, but the word sounds more like "clever" to me, and "flapper girl" seems redundant - I've not researched this point, but I've always understood "flapper" stood on its own, without needing to be a modifier for "girl".

I listened to it really closely and it sounds like "flapper" to me. EDSMILDE

I've always heard "clever". I slowed it down in Audacity and I didn't detect any 'f' or 'p' sounds. It makes sense because in the 'old timey' era, clever was used more to mean good-natured/healthy/amiable and would be a fitting adjective for girls you'd want to get the affections of. 4.155.0.52 03:50, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

STORM monologue

Storm seems to be having a conversation with himself in the second transcript. Could someone fix that?

The transcript is like that, because the quality of the commentary is rather low, and it's hard to identify any of the other speakers. As such, most lines are uncredited. --DorianGray 04:48, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

"Quite unique"

I'm not sure if this is a big enough deal to add to the article, but the phrase "quite unique" is poor grammar. Unique means "one of a kind" and cannot be used comparatively, nor does it take modifiers like "quite," "more," "very," etc. Wear a Bikini 19:03, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

While it's a pet peeve of mine when people modify "unique" with quantifiers, it's very common, and I don't think the misuse is notable. Heimstern Läufer 19:11, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm not hearing the M. I originally heard "Small and short and yellow". Now I hear "small and sort of yellow".

Paul and Storm

This song is everywhere credited to Da Vinci's Notebook, but it was actually written and performed only by members Paul and Storm. Da Vinci's Notebook broke up and Paul and Storm began their independent act in 2004, around when this short came out. Should it be noted in the article? -128.103.10.17 07:56, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

Nickelodeon

The piano the sneak is dancing upon is not a nickelodeon. The term "nickelodeon" was most frequently used to reference nickel theater players, and even when the term was used to describe automated pianos, those types of pianos resembled orchestrions, not regular player pianos. Besides, the piano in cartoon didn't even have a coin slot, so it's most assuredly a regular player piano. ~Tsumetai 06:41, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Small and smart and yellow?

Obviously, we know that the second line is "Small and smart and yellow." Is it possible that this refers to the colloquialism of "being yellow"? i.e "cowardly or treacherous; "the little yellow stain of treason"-M.W.Straight; "too yellow to stand and fight""? It seems that cowardice and treachery would be the Sneak's two primary defining points, after all.

Hidden message?

While editing the summery tab of "Ballad of the Sneak.mp3" (in the file properties), i found a bunch of numbers and letters in the comment section. "000002EE 00000000 00003D37 00000000 00018EE0 00000000 00003AAD 00000000 000026E0 00000000" I figured it's some hidden message written in something like hex or binary, but i haven't been able to figure out what it means or if it really is some hidden message.
